China Times Weekly reported that Jerry has earned a total amount of NT22.87 millions from The Hospital including talent fee and 10% bonus of profit sharing. However, Mao Liang and Yu Xiao Hui (Director Cai's wife and the producer of TH) have denied this rumor of Jerry's earning any bonus of profit sharing. After he estalished his own company, although the no. 1 goal is to earn money to maintain its operation, Jerry is very serious in choosing his work. Mao Liang indicates after putting in a lot of time and effort in filming TH, Jerry is satisified with its outcome and reputation created. He has also started his preparation work for filming Hot Shot. After he was officially announced by GTV to join the cast of HS as the first male lead, fans and drama buyers' attention was highly attracted immediately. With the cast of Yan Cheng Xu, Wu Zun, and Luo Zhi Xiang, overseas buyers started to compete for its copyright even before it started filming. Yan Cheng Xu has markets in both Japan and Korea. As soon as he agreed to join the cast, Japanese buyer immediately offered and bought it with the price of US30,000 per episode. Even Korean buyer, who rarely buys any idol dramas from TW, has bought it because of Yan Cheng Xu and the 2 other super idols' charm. The joining of Yan Cheng Xu did not just allow the broadcast company (i.e., GTV) to successfully sell the copyright, Jerry has also brought a great amount of foreign currency to TW. In both Tourist Bureau's F4 functions in April and October, only the sales of merchandise with his picture/image have already brought in over 10 millions of cash to TW. Although Yan Cheng Xu is very successful after establishing his own company, when compared to the Korean and other stars who have established their own companies, he has a lot to catch up. Therefore, a chart of some stars who have successfully established and made great profit after establishing their own companies was provided. Yan Cheng Xu, Wu Zun, and Luo Zhi Xiang(Xiao Zhu) compete with each other in ranking, income, and overseas markets and who is "Yi Ge"? The filming of Hot Shot has not started, fans already expressed tons of comments and concerns for protecting their 'master'. Days ago, media reported when Lin Bai Chuan, GTV's General Manager, indicates that the broadcast copyright in Japan was sold because of Yan Cheng Xu, but Korea, Southeast Asia, and HK's was sold solely by Wu Zun, Xu's fans dislike losing to Wu Zun very much, so they initiated faxing the complaints to GTV. On the other hand, Zhu's fans also felt that Xiao Zhu was spoiled by its own 'family'.

Xu's fans were upset, and initiated each fan faxing one letter to GTV, saying that The Hospital was sold throughtout the whole Asia and a momentum was created because of Jerry, so his popularity in Korea and Southeast Asia surely won't lose to Wu Zun. Although Wu Zun has started to have some popularity, his selling power has yet to be proved. On the other hand, Xiao Zhu's fans complained on GTV's website saying that Xiao Zhu was spoiled by GTV. They felt sorry for him when he self-ridiculed as supporting actor during the group interview in the press conference.

Yesterday, Lin Bai Chuan clarified, "I didn't say that. All of 3 have market values. Otherwise, GTV wouldn't invite them to join the production." Jerry's agent, Zhang Mao Liang, indicates embarrassingly, "Hope fans can maintain calm. Jerry will try his best in his job and he won't concern too much on other things."

Director Cai Yue Xun indicates, the copyright of The Hospital has been sold for more than NT100 millions throughtout the world, Jerry who led the cast should have the most credits. He didn't want to comment on the 3 actors' status or ranking, but he only said, "Yan Cheng Xu can sell extraordinary good in the whole Asia and the demand is very high. Is extraordinary good!" Regarding Xiao Zhu and Wu Zun, he can't comment as he hasn't worked with them before.

Wasn't TW Apple Daily the one which reported that both Jerry and Wu are 181cm tall when it made Jerry's boots an issue? Once again, it proved that it's so easy for the media to change/twist the information for fulfilling their goal whenever they think it is necessary.
