My theory on this: ABS-CBN and GMA Network had realized that Asianovelas click with the local audience and are starting to make ways to ensure that their local viewership will be maintained if not, improved. So they scoured at threads (such as Tsinoy.com), to find out that many of us already watched the original versions of the dramas that they bought from the producers there.

They also pinpointed the source for our comments as to why the local dubbed versions are "censored" on some parts, and tend to hang with the viewers. So to do away with that, the key is to convince cable operators that have channels which broadcast dramas direct from Hong Kong, Taiwan and China, to drop them.

Initially, the problem with CETV began at Global Destiny Cable, a known bastion of Chinese, Japanese and Korean programs. Last March, the signal of CETV suddenly disappeared from its systems. At first we thought that it was just a technical problem, but later we learned that CETV itself had already restricted its coverage to countries like the Philippines, because apparently they are earning very well on the Mainland China market and would like to focus their shows on that market.

We thought Sky Cable and Home Cable would be spared from the cutoff, since persecuted na ang mga subscribers nito pagdating sa mga Chinese channels. But when some of you posted here that they had formally dropped CETV and had converted CCTV-4 into an English language channel from China known as CCTV-9, I began to realize that cable operators are being "pressured" by ABS and GMA not to carry anymore such channels that will affect the editing, as well as the viewership of their bought Asianovelas.

Zashikibuta was right. These networks and the cable operators are a bunch of sore losers.

FILIPINO ENTERTAINMENT IS GOING TO PITS COZ MOST OF WHAT THEY DO IS IMITATE foreign shows (especially those hit ones...).... and they are complaining that few people are patronizing or supporting our own stuff.. whats their to support when all we see are imitations........ BIG DUH!!!!! :rolleyes:

there is a rumor circulating that ABS-CBN is bidding to get this. I wonder what the real score is

i heard this rumour too...................... dunno what to make of that...

dont even care anymore.....

Now, can you do just a little favor to your fellow Zaichos... keep all your comments about the show on CETV as low profile as possible. The local networks are reading our posts and they might notice it and ask the cable operators to forceably drop it.

Freakzazoid: thanks again for the timely response....wow...i'm still impressed by your updates and knowledge of everything regarding ZZ....haha. Wonder where you get all of these infos (I'm thinking VicPower...haha). I wish they could do a US trip soon....but I guess....based on your response....that would be a negative for now right? haha...Anyhow, give me updates on his upcoming movie (is it still pushing through?) that way I could purchase it off eBay soon enough. OK...that's all for now. I do hope you could enlighten me more so I could check out his improved acting skills (not that he hasn't on MARS!). Maybe I could do some comparisons and analysis. lmao. i really love this series. ibang klase kasi yung plot niya eh. and the characters are all very complex...i once read in the newspaper that mars god was acquired by GMA 7 and was slated to be shown right after twin sisters. but it was replaced by snow angel and now glass shoes naman.

i used to wonder about it but now that i've watched it, i think maybe it's because it's hard to feature it in primetime kasi asianovelas are watched by peeps of all ages. eh diba may ibang scenes dun, mm..for R-13 or so? anyway, that's what i think.

any news when it will be shown on local tv? :)

You're right there, mairi. There are some "delicate" but important scenes in the series. So maybe GMA is studying if placing it on normal primetime will have a stronger impact. But I believe they will study ABS-CBN's move first on their attempted "Meteor Garden" revival starting next week.

i also think that GMA will try to feel whether F4 is still hot in our country. ABS-CBN's "MG revival" will awaken those fans who have lay low and the new ones who will adore them once more. if they did succeed, that's when GMA's chinovela will enter the "teleserye world." :)

Ang daming naghihintay ng series na ito at talagang quality series pa. Kung nuon pa ba naman nila ipinalabas ito e di top rater pa ito. Ngayon kasi dami na naiinis at dami na bumili ng sarili nilang kopya dahil sa inip. Sana naman isunod na nila ito sa MG. Sayang naman kung hindi mapanood ng mga Filipino.

The May 13 Mars meet-and-greet in Guangzhou has been postponed. The artists’ management will give CETV the reasons in detail on Tuesday. We will inform everybody when that time comes!

The postponed date is tentatively set on May 27 (5/27). Pepsi will inform everyone tomorrow the details on how to obtain the admission tickets on Tuesday as well.

JMs who have already bought plane or train tickets, or who have already reserved hotels, please take care of the necessary documents according to the change in schedule as soon as possible. And those who have already asked for leave, please ask for a change of the date of your leave.

I feel very helpless to learn about this news, but we’d still like to ask everybody to please remain calm!!!

latest buzz... hmmm it just started airing in CETV last night.. unfortunately, CETV is not available on most cable providers here in the philippines. As for local situation.. that i'm not sure what GMA has planned for mars.

preview? anyway none of us have any idea about when it will be aired locally... lots of rumours but then again most of them are not true.

If your impressions of ZZ and Da S are still stuck in the "Meteor Garden" era, then you should watch "Mars." If you fantasize about racing, about aesthetic love, then you should watch "Mars." If you have always dislilked Taiwan's idol dramas, then you should watch "Mars."

The idol drama "Mars" starring Vic Chou and Barbie Hsu is now broadcasting on Hua Yu Wei Shi. Lately there have been a lot of discussion regarding the two leads and "Mars" on various entertainment sites. Everyone unanimously said that ZZ and Da S finally broke the "vase" image. They've officially grown into professional actors from youthful idols.

Da S did her best to portray a girl who has been abused

Several years ago when "Meteor Garden" broadcasted, even though Da S' acting was a bit faulty, she was the only female lead of the drama so it's only natural that she shot to fame. Because success came too easily, Da S didn't show any obvious improvements in her later works. She suffered criticism from the media and spectators. Even when filming "A Chinese Ghost Story" she was said to be the ancient version of San Cai. Not being able to do as well as Wang Zu Xian, she destroyed the cold, beautiful and enchanting image of Xiao Qian in spectators' hearts.

Afterwards Da S was quiet for a time. She hosted and acted as usual. It wasn't until her book "Cosmetic Queen" when people started to pay attention to her again. Just when the outside world thought that Da S was going to become an author, she brings a whole new idol drama work, "Mars." Her performance in the drama had won praises once again. This time she wasn't complacent because of the role.

Da S' performance in "Mars" gave audiences a big surprise. She portrayed a girl who was wounded physically and mentally, a girl who used the pencil in her hand to express her most delicate, pure voice. The girl's mental and physical injuries never healed. Facing Ling, Qi Luo couldn't avoid confronting this tragedy. Da S muttered to someone that her tears fell like a broken string of pearls and ultimately let out a "I hate men" cry. Spectators couldn't help but clutch their hearts because of this inexpressible pain. Da S's preformance was full of power. Her hysteria was a natural outlet and not an on-the-surface idol drama performance. To portray her role better she no longer cared about whether or not she was shot beautifully.

Da S put a lot of thought into "Mars." Under the instructions of the director she wrote in a diary everyday, to create fake "rape" memories. Perhaps this hypnotized her so when she was acting she did well. If you say that she benefited from her successful role as San Cai, then today's moving Qi Luo is Da S' acting sediment after sublimating, less insolent and more maturity. Da S has finally took off her beautiful idol clothes and become a real actress. She used strength, not luck, to add points to her career.

ZZ seems reckless on the outside but is weak on the inside

All along F4 had a contradicting image. Millions of teenage girls admirethem. Millions of adults also laugh at them because they think the 4 of them are nothing but a pretty face. ZZ Vic Chou became the target of the mass because his album sales obviously dropped and his deficiency in school. In "Mars" ZZ portrays 2 roles. One is an introvert who loves to draw while the other one is an extrovert and love to race. To the originally introvert and slow ZZ, this is undoubtedly a challenge. In the drama ZZ is known as a "walking sexorgan." His agitating behavior covers his inner weakness. At first the shy ZZ had a hard to grasping this "wastrel" feeling, but his efforts paid off and he finally accomplished the requests of the director. What's also worth mentioning is rectified his pronunciation problem that he's been teased about for the past few years.

Psychopathologic, likes to race and act ruthless. ZZ is not longer the
well-behaved baby in "Meteor Garden." Already 24 years of age, his performance is stronger and less bashful.

To interpret the role better ZZ personally did many of the dangerous scenes in the drama. Just a scene where he jumps off a building took 10 hours to film. In the drama ZZ is a "wastrel." He had many intimate scenes with Da S. Some worried that rumors would spread because of this but Da S and ZZ were both at ease. "ZZ and I have this inexplainable tacit understanding between each other. Privately he calls me jie jie (bigger sister) and I call him di di (younger brother). We get along really well. I am very happy when working with him." ZZ said that there are differences between the character he played with the original author's character. The original character kisses someone at every move. He however doesn't dare do something like that.

ZaiZai is really good in that drama...so gwapo and so improved, acting wise. he portrayed the character so well.:) i hope it will be shown in local TV so many people can see it too. (wish ko rin ABS ang ma-air...though medyo malabo since GMA ang nakabili ng rights..wish ko lang naman).

thats good!! yep he's really superb in this drama.. he matured a lot.. not only in the roles he played but also as an actor.

he made Chen Ling and Chen Sheng possible.. and mars is critically acclaimed.. teehee...

as you see in all the article about mars.. it's mostly praises on the superb performances of the actors and praises also for the director and other aspects of this drama.

Even the author of the manga raved about Zai .. couldnt be more proud!

Hostess 1: Fans must have gone crazy after hearing your voice. You know Mars is currently airing on our station (CETV). The ratings are very, very good. Everyone is impressed by how much your acting skills have improved. What are your thoughts on accomplished so much from shooting such a good TV series?

Zaizai: What I'm most grateful is to have such a good director, director Cai Yuexun. He taught me how to act. And then there were many other good actors such as Xu Xiyuan, Lai Yayan, An Juncan, and Xiu Jiekai. They are all very good, so we had good synergy in the series.

Hostess 2: Did you run into acting situations where you consider more difficult in the process of shooting Mars?

Hostess 1: You acted two roles.

Hostess 2: It was quite a challenge.

Zaizai laughed

Hostess 1: He laughs a lot.

Zaizai: Ha Ha. At the beginning what we were most worrying about was that I had to act two roles, twin brothers. People must be able to distinguish the twins. Later on, we found the personalities of the two roles are drastic different and distinct after carefully studying the script. So it was not that difficult in terms of figuring out the two roles.

Hostess 1: You and DaS starred in Meteor Garden before. Did you two have better chemistry this time around?

Zaizai: Oh! We had great chemistry.

Hostess 1: Wow, great chemistry.

Hostess 2: In private life, you are good friends, too.

Zaizai: Yes, we have been good friends, like brother and sister.

Hostess 1: You two had quite a lot of kissing scenes in Mars. Did you two feel embarrassing? Or have you become used to the kissing scenes?

Zaizai: We know each other very well. She has boyfriend. We were careful in handling the kissing scenes. We were very professional and hoped to finish it in one take. Ha Ha

Hostess 1 and 2 laughed too.

Hostess 1: You're coming to Quangzhou on May 27. How do you feel about it? Have you come to Inland (i.e. China) a lot?

Zaizai: Inland? I seldom visit Inland.

If your impressions of ZZ and Da S are still stuck in the "Meteor Garden" era, then you should watch "Mars." If you fantasize about racing, about aesthetic love, then you should watch "Mars." If you have always dislilked Taiwan's idol dramas, then you should watch "Mars."

The idol drama "Mars" starring Vic Chou and Barbie Hsu is now broadcasting on Hua Yu Wei Shi. Lately there have been a lot of discussion regarding the two leads and "Mars" on various entertainment sites. Everyone unanimously said that ZZ and Da S finally broke the "vase" image. They've officially grown into professional actors from youthful idols.

Da S did her best to portray a girl who has been abused

Several years ago when "Meteor Garden" broadcasted, even though Da S' acting was a bit faulty, she was the only female lead of the drama so it's only natural that she shot to fame. Because success came too easily, Da S didn't show any obvious improvements in her later works. She suffered criticism from the media and spectators. Even when filming "A Chinese Ghost Story" she was said to be the ancient version of San Cai. Not being able to do as well as Wang Zu Xian, she destroyed the cold, beautiful and enchanting image of Xiao Qian in spectators' hearts.

Afterwards Da S was quiet for a time. She hosted and acted as usual. It wasn't until her book "Cosmetic Queen" when people started to pay attention to her again. Just when the outside world thought that Da S was going to become an author, she brings a whole new idol drama work, "Mars." Her performance in the drama had won praises once again. This time she wasn't complacent because of the role.

Da S' performance in "Mars" gave audiences a big surprise. She portrayed a girl who was wounded physically and mentally, a girl who used the pencil in her hand to express her most delicate, pure voice. The girl's mental and physical injuries never healed. Facing Ling, Qi Luo couldn't avoid confronting this tragedy. Da S muttered to someone that her tears fell like a broken string of pearls and ultimately let out a "I hate men" cry. Spectators couldn't help but clutch their hearts because of this inexpressible pain. Da S's preformance was full of power. Her hysteria was a natural outlet and not an on-the-surface idol drama performance. To portray her role better she no longer cared about whether or not she was shot beautifully.

Da S put a lot of thought into "Mars." Under the instructions of the director she wrote in a diary everyday, to create fake "rape" memories. Perhaps this hypnotized her so when she was acting she did well. If you say that she benefited from her successful role as San Cai, then today's moving Qi Luo is Da S' acting sediment after sublimating, less insolent and more maturity. Da S has finally took off her beautiful idol clothes and become a real actress. She used strength, not luck, to add points to her career.

ZZ seems reckless on the outside but is weak on the inside

All along F4 had a contradicting image. Millions of teenage girls admirethem. Millions of adults also laugh at them because they think the 4 of them are nothing but a pretty face. ZZ Vic Chou became the target of the mass because his album sales obviously dropped and his deficiency in school. In "Mars" ZZ portrays 2 roles. One is an introvert who loves to draw while the other one is an extrovert and love to race. To the originally introvert and slow ZZ, this is undoubtedly a challenge. In the drama ZZ is known as a "walking sex organ." His agitating behavior covers his inner weakness. At first the shy ZZ had a hard to grasping this "wastrel" feeling, but his efforts paid off and he finally accomplished the requests of the director. What's also worth mentioning is rectified his pronunciation problem that he's been teased about for the past few years.

Psychopathologic, likes to race and act ruthless. ZZ is not longer the
well-behaved baby in "Meteor Garden." Already 24 years of age, his performance is stronger and less bashful.

To interpret the role better ZZ personally did many of the dangerous scenes in the drama. Just a scene where he jumps off a building took 10 hours to film. In the drama ZZ is a "wastrel." He had many intimate scenes with Da S. Some worried that rumors would spread because of this but Da S and ZZ were both at ease. "ZZ and I have this inexplainable tacit understanding between each other. Privately he calls me jie jie (bigger sister) and I call him di di (younger brother). We get along really well. I am very happy when working with him." ZZ said that there are differences between the character he played with the original author's character. The original character kisses someone at every move. He however doesn't dare do something like that.

Taipei's youth's "cruelty"

Compared to the usual idol dramas, "Mars" seems to be in another
category. The female lead isn't pure and the male lead isn't
outstanding. Also, the drama is full of sex, rape, and other sensitive
issues. In fact, after people watched "Mars," they commented that it
was realistic drama that depicted humans. Whether it's Ling and Qi Luo,
Da Ye and Qing Mei or Sheng and Tong Dao, these kinds of people exist
in reality. The invented dark story that leaves one gasping for air,
can actually be found in reality also. Everyone will experience hurt in
their life, everyone will get a taste of pain. But after watching this
drama it makes one feel that as long as your heart is still beating,
you'll definitely have courage.

In "Mars" everyone carries wounds in their hearts, everyone's soul is
more or less deformed. Ling has a merciless and violent side to him
that he is incapable of controlling. When Qi Luo meets someone she
hates, she would imagine herself killing them. And her hatred for men
led to difficulties on the road to love. Aside from the fact that there
are racing scenes, this drama is also called "Mars" because of the
characters' struggles with their innermost beings and sorrows. It's a
process in which they rebuild their souls.

When "Mars" broadcasted in Taiwan it caused a tremendous dispute. It
attempts to explore teenagers' complicated hearts and cruelty of
youths, surpassing the capacity of idol dramas. It is extremely "gray."
Angie Cai said, "Vic Chou and Da S' roles experience family problems
which brought about the darkness within their hearts. But because they
lved each other, they started to have a brigther and more trusting
side. In reality, beneath its idol drama packaging, "Mars" is a very
deep and powerful drama. And it definitely didn't merely used the vogue
of motorcycles to excite spectators. Meaningless violence actually
means that the heart is at war.

schedule is 7:00--7:30 every sat. only so dont forget to watch it..ok.! The
sub-tittle is in english. KTSF is either channel 8, 18, or 26 and it depends

marzz -- ni hao! am glad i made it to MARS last night...buset talaga ang rain last night! good thing konti lang ang di ko napanood. well, it was Ling's painting that was shown last night. so SHUAI! i loved the part when they were at the coffee shop with his 2 high school friends, while doing RTP, suddenly Ling held Qi Luo's hand. ayyyy siyet! kilig ulet!!! grabeeee! :p

'ei there freakzz! i really love MARS zhou much! i have the original Taiwan VCD version, i have the CTS version (without subtitles, but i have the full translation of it in a huge factbook), and i also have the version from Taiwan but with subtitles already...all for the love of ZZ! i have read the manga, too! and it's really a very nice story! every scene is worth watching, but of course, i do have my favorite scenes. ;)

i absolutely agree with you 101 %!!! ;) don't show it nalang if they will cut essential scenes.

if they will cut it, wala na ang story...baka mainis pa ang mga viewers coz di nila naiintindihan ang plot ng story...bad publicity pa for ZZ and the rest(baka they will have opinions and reactions such as: it wasn't a good story, walang kwenta, ano ba ang talagang nangyari...etc) and we don't want that to happen. not with ZaiZai! he was a great actor there! he really improved a lot! http://www.tsinoy.com/forum/images/icons/icon14.gif yun ang dapat may "rewind" kasi may K naman, if ever ipalabas talaga here in the Philippines. :)

same here. i guess that's why it hasn't been shown yet. they can't decide as to how they can cut scenes without affecting the story, which will never happen. every detail is very important. :mad:

I didn't know how to act Ling with such a painful past.

F4 was born out of the Taiwan hit TV series "Meteor Garden" which has set the record of being broadcast in 13 countries. Along with the success of the TV series, they become Asia's super idols. F4 is formed by 4 people: Jerry Yan (Yan Chengxi) Vic Zhou (Zhou Yumin), Ken Zhu (Zhu Xiaotian), and Vanessu Wu (Wu Jianhao). All are gorgeous men with masculine bodies of 180-cm height, stylish, and with good-looking features.

Vic, the youngest one among F4, was chosen as the 2005 Parco White Day campaign character. (Gacket was chosen for 2004.), which fit his price-charming image perfectly. Chai Zhiping, the producer of Meteor Garden, chose Vic for the Hua Zelei role; she though he was exactly Hua Zelei when she saw him for the first time. She was shocked and thought he was just like a beautiful man walking out a comic book.

He showed up wearing a simple suit in the press conference. He indeed is a beautiful youth who can be called a prince charming. "Good afternoon, everybody. My name is Vic." he greeted, looking shy and nervously, in Japanese with an interesting accent. A super idol, who have stepped on so many big stages in Asia, was still nervous with hundreds of pairs of anticipating eyes staring at him in a venue with heated atmosphere generated by the attending media.

So, this is the first time F4 has officially come to Japan. Before the press conference, there were many fans and media at the airport to welcome Vic.

"I didn't expect there would be so many fans and media at the airport, I was really surprised. I'm really touched and very excited. Actually, even now I'm still having a cold. But I am so happy that I forget my cold. Fans were so polite. Usually it would have been a chaos under the situation. But, there wasn't any chaos, instead everything was in order! It was terrific. There were also more media present than I thought. I'm really grateful that there are so many people interested in us."

"For me, director Cai is an actors' teacher."

After the press conference was successfully concluded, Vic looked relieved and the tender expression returned to his face. These were the words he said at the beginning of the interview.

Besides Meteor Garden, Vic has starred in other TV series, such as "Poor Prince", "Come to My Place", "Love Storm". And his latest drama series, Mars, is scheduled to be aired on Japan BS TV, starting April 7.

"In my latest drama Mars, I acted the roles of twins. Ling's mother died when he was little. His twin brother committed suicide jumping off a building in front of him. He was greatly shocked by it. His heart was so deeply heart that he only remembered that he had a younger brother, but didn't know how he died. As the story developed, memory of his painful past gradually returned. I personally never have this kind of experience. To be frank, initially I had no idea how to act the role. So it took me a lot of time to figure out how to act the role."

Vic had hardly taken any acting lessons when he debuted in Meteor Garden. Now he still respected director Cai Yuexun of Meteor Garden and Mars as his teacher.

To me, the relationship between director Cai and I is not just a director-and-actor relationship. As an actor, he is my teacher. I didn't have any acting experience when I debuted in Meteor Garden; he taught me many things in both acting skills and how to deal with people.

I can't forget the experience of staying outside drinking cold beer when it was freezing cold in Sendai.

"As a teacher, he spent time with me discussing in detail about how I felt about the role. This time, besides dealing with a difficult role like Ling, and directed us in acting, he also spent time simplifying the styling of our images and said encouraging word to keep us going. Moreover, Director Cai is a very good at telling stories. He himself started as an actor. So he understands very well how to direct actors. No matter what the current emotion is, he would come up a way to express it. When performing the scene, the emotion gets transmitted across. There was a scene in the Meteor Garden where cried and kissed Shancai played by Barbie Xu. When shooting the scene, Director Cai told us a story; his eyes turned red as he talked. My tears came falling down when I heard that story, too. We have learned many things from Director Cai's passion for work.

same here!! best ever! yeah it's almost a year sigh... i remembered i had to ask my blockmate to crash in there house just so i can watch the pilot episode!! wahhahah.. good thing my friend is chinese .. she was translating it for me.. scene by scne,, hehhe... and i convinced her in watching it eventhough she hates f4's guts! and now she respects zaizai coz of it!!:D

It was hekka funny when the teacher told him to go up and write a sentence for the class and he wrote..I don't remember but something about the teacher harassing his students. if my memory serves me right, mars first aired in taiwan on july 31, 2004. almost a year indeed! we weren't able to watch it real time :( we had to rely on brin's blow by blow account and lic's screencaps.

hahaha..ako rin...nung una ko nga tong pinanood wlang english subtitle naka hard copy pa ung english sub..tlgang dugo't pawis...basa muna afterwards play naman ung vcd, pag medyo nd nasiyahan pino-pause ko tpos babasahin ko muna line by line ...buti na lng ung second version ng vcd set namin may eng sub na kaya mas lalo ko ng na-enjoy nung pinanood ko ulit...:D

when we watched this real time in CTS channel every sat.. what we do in order to understand some of it.. was to print out some chapters from the MANGA summary of mars and then narrate it every same scene will appear on TV.. heheheh...

good thing the series is around 90-95% true to the manga!!!

then the next saturday when we have our eb to watch this series again, we have downloaded the episode before that and we make sure to watch it again and then while watching the downloaded one mcbeal will read the translations printed for us.. wahahaha...

For those who dont know this (just gonna share it again since it's almost zai's bday)

Remember the confrontation at the restaurant, when ling was so mad at qi luo for moving back to her step-dad.. They filmed it during Zaizai's BDAY!!!! it got quite emotional coz the scene was so intense and after filming they are still trying to get hold of themselves from all the crying and such then suddenly the mars crew greeted zaizai happybirthday and gavehim surfboard, cake, etc!! hhiihihihi.... super!!!

For those who dont know this (just gonna share it again since it's almost zai's bday)

Remember the confrontation at the restaurant, when ling was so mad at qi luo for moving back to her step-dad.. They filmed it during Zaizai's BDAY!!!! it got quite emotional coz the scene was so intense and after filming they are still trying to get hold of themselves from all the crying and such then suddenly the mars crew greeted zaizai happybirthday and gavehim surfboard, cake, etc!! hhiihihihi.... super!!! - FreakZZ

*sawsaw* i loved that scene! he was soooo worried for qi luo .... you can see that intense look on his face ...... aaawwww .... sweet diba? also, that cake that they gave him was a shape of a house since kaka-burn lang nung apartment ni ZaiZai.

* when Ling almost crashed in the big truck because nawalan sya ng brakes, but made it. then he confronted the teacher and said "good for you, i like to do dangerous (not sure if this was the word/term he used) things, but i will not leave something unfinished"...basta parang ganyan yung sinabi nya.
* when Ling let QL ride his bike for the first time, lent QL his jacket, then he brought her home. ayyy, kilig na ako nun.
* when Ling arranged for Daye and Ql's date. it was so sweet of him, but i felt that he liked QL that time already...
* when Ling said to Qing Mei to leave QL behind, parang don't touch QL otherwise he will kill her....isn't that also sweet??!!! haaaaaayyyyy!
* of course! the first kiss of Ling to QL when he visited her and gave her the bracelet. kakataas balahibo!
* when Ling told QL that what he's most afraid of is when QL is riding with him, and he cannot make a mistake because if he does, he doesn't want to lose her just like that. pakshet!!!!

* i liked the part also when they went for a walk lang in the museum and sabi pa ni QL na sorry daw if boring yung pinuntahan nila that sabi ni Ling na hindi tapos ang daming comments ni Ling sa mga tao sa paligid nilaa, tapos when he saw QL he said "this is what you call a girl in love".
* i also like the part when QL said to Ling "i like the smell of gasoline on your body..." paksheeetttt! pamatay to!
* whenever napapakita yung si Sheng and Ling together, nakakaaliw!
* also, yung part na high school sila and they saw Shazhi looking at them and Ling winked at her and then sinabi ni Sheng ata na parang Shazhi reminds him of their aunt's dog. LMAO! patok!
* the "wall-climbing" scene of course!!! loved that!
* when QL cooked for Ling nung time na na they were already living together.
* when they went to the beach, just the 2 of them and helped some kids build the castle.
* when Ling held QL's hand while chatting with Shazhi and the other guy in the restaurant.
* when Ling got mad at QL for moving in to her step dad.
* when Ling rescued QL from her step dad.

whew!!! and many more! actually, halos lahat naman magaganda e. there are some phrases lang talaga that i like hearing from Ling. anyways, just sharing some of my FAVE SCENES from MARS! ipalabas na kasi dito yan e ng makita ng madla kung gaano kaganda ang storyline at gaano kagagaling ng mga gumanap, diba? gamma?!?!

Regarding the delay of Mars Promo in China - Fu Long's answer to this

Yesterday night, talked to Ah Juan jie on the phone, this is the answer regarding the delay of Mars promo in China :

1. Dates of the China promo kept changing, bringing trouble to others.

Ans : The company has also just recieved the announcement from Comic that the promo on the 13th of May is to be delayed. However, Comic did not mention the exact date after delay, it would be known within these 2 days. As to Beijing and He Fei's schedule, it was actually confirmed, it was later cancelled due to some problems with the venue and some china proceeds that cannot be solved, regarding this, they are not very sure too. This is because, the overseas Mars promo are all handled by Comic who communicate with that local personnel, only after that, they'll inform Fu Long and Zai. As to the problems that have brought more or less trouble to everyone, she's apologizing on behalf of the company and hope everyone can understand.

*when ling found Qui lo half naked { only w/ undershirt& pants on} & ling wrapped his jacket around Qui lo. ...how sweet.

TV series Mars went to Sendai for location shooting in March 2004. It seemed that it was rather tough for those actors growing up in Taiwan, where the weather was different from Sendai.

"For this TV series, there are two memorable things. We had shot on location in Sendai. At the time, Sendai was freezing cold and snowing, but I and the other four actors, wearing summer-like light clothes, went outside the hotel drinking chill beers. It is something I won't forget. (Laugh). Another one is all the kissing scenes with Barbie. She was really into it and the mood was right. I'm just kidding! Just kidding. Laugh)"

He said mischievously with boyishness that he displays from time to time, which I think is one of his appeals. So, check out the kissing scenes of beautiful Vic.

Sina.com has accounts of the meet and greet and unfortunately it's in Chinese. sighhh, these are the times you wish you know Mandrarin. Anyway, I used the ever "reliable" Alta vista Bable Fish translation. lol (vicfren ito!) and here's some info I got. Again the same is not an exact translation and I'll immediately edit this post once a more accurate translation is posted at vicpower.net or from other sources.

Zhou Yu Min and DaS promotes Mars in Beijing,China

Sina Entertainment News, May 26, evening.

Zhou Yu Min, Big S and Lai Yayan attended the Mars Meet and Greet in Beijing. Nearly thousand of fans arrived to support, the scene is exceptionally irritable with dozens of media covering this grand occassion.

Zai Zai's entrance before the stage snatches the biggest attention. Big S first enters the stage, the crown immediately erupts in a loud cry. When Zai Zai and Lai Yayan entered the stage, the fans immediately chanted his nickname "Zai Zai", the sound nearly drowning out the host's voice. The scene was exceptionally crazy.

Big S and Lai Ya Yan wore tinted gauze skirts (lol!) , looking fresh and elegant. While Zai Zai was extremely graceful in brown, western style clothing. x x x

The host asked DaS for any message she has about Mars to which she replied: "I must tell everybody that no matter what pain they experience in life, they must be brave and stand their ground."

A large screen shows clips from Mars. When it showed scenes with Zai Zai on it, the fans screamed hysterically. Zai Zai smiled and laughed at their reaction.

Zai Zai fans have especially prepared a video (VCR) for him. When this was shown on the large screen, a child appeared on it calling Zai Zai an "uncle". Zai Zai was unable to refrain wrinkling his brow. He replies, "Very few people have called me uncle. But later I will possibly hear people call me "Uncle Zhou" or "Granpa Zhou". "

Then the host asked the fans, "Should ZZ marry early or late?"The fans did not think and immediately exclaimed "Early!". ZZ replied with a smile, "They hope I marry early, so I can have little Zai Zais and they may work as their nannies (note: babelfish translated the "nanny" word as "wet nurse" lol!). The venue was filled with laughter.

This year is Zai Zai's Zodiacal Year (year of the rooster). Next month happens ot be his birthday. The sponsors of the meet and greet specially prepared a cake for him and this was brought out. The entire audience sang Happy Birthday. Zai Zai's grinned from ear to ear. He then made a vow: (not sure of the translation but it seems he wished joy for all those who supported him).

While the host was speaking, Zai Zai secretly uses his finger to taste the cake. Bis S seemed to prevent him from doing so (not sure though) to which Zai Zai said, "It's a real cake!" The expression on his face is extremely lovable.

(The last paragraph I sort of can't figure out but it seems Zai Zai was joking or making funny antics of stealing a taste from the cake with Da S sort of preventing him from doing so.)

Vic Zhou, Da S, promotes Mars, Near to thousand fans went crazy

On the night of 26th May, Vic Zhou, Da S and Megan Lai attended Beijing's Mars - Qi Luo Xin Yu meet-the-fans session. Near to a thousand fans came to support and it was "bursting" at the scene. Around ten media stations saw this grand event.

Although allof them act in Mars, all 3 had different treating when they came out on stage. Da S was first to came out and there was a shout scream from the crowd all of a sudden. When Megan Lai and Zaizai came out, "Zaizai", "Zaizai", was screaming in a mess. It almost covered the hosts' voice and the whole scene was just crazy.

Da S and Megan Lai were both wearing light coloured sash dress, light and classical. Zaizai was wearing a brown suit, very handsome. The few of them started to think of the memories when they were fliming and laughed together. When the host asked Da S what was Mars trying to potray ? Da S said, "It's to tell everyone no matter what difficulties u meet in life, you have to face it bravely." When the huge screens showed Mars, fans seem to have gone crazy. As long as the screen showed Zaizai, they would scream at the top of their voices. Zaizai would giggle secretly onstage and secretly greeting fans who were downstage.

In order to show support for Zaizai, fans specially prepared a pre-recorded video. When he saw the little child on the video greeting him as Uncle, Zaizai scratched his head. He said, "Very few people call me Uncle. But in future, i'll hear lots of people calling me Uncle Zhou, Uncle Xiao Ming or Grandpa Zhou, Grandpa Xiao Ming. " When the host asked fans, "Do you all hope for Zaizai to get married earlier or later?" Their answer was actually, "Earlier !" Zaizai laughed and said, "I think they hope to see Xiao Zaizai sooner so they can be the nannies ! " and the a string of laughter begin.

This year's is Zaizai's chinese horoscope year and next month was his birthday. The host specially prepared a huge cake for him and everyone sang a birthday song for him causing him to laugh so much he couldn't close his mouth. He wished, "I hope those who support me will be happy !" When the host was speaking, Zaizai secretly dab some cake with his finger and ate it. Da S immediately slapped him and Zaizai exclaimed, "It's a real cake !" His expression was very adorable. When the host announced the ending, Zaizai continued to eat the cake and played around with Da S. It was so different from when they just came upstage with such nice suits.

The original date for the Guangzhou promotion of Mars with Zhou Yu Min and Da S was supposed to be on May 13, but the postponement didn't in any way lessen the fans' fervour. Two weeks has passed, and on the night of 5/27 when Zhou Yu Min, Da S and Megan Lai appeared at the broadcast hall on the 3rd floor of the Guangdong Radio Station, all the repressed fervour culminated in that one moment. Including fans from Singapore, Japan, Thailand, Philippines, and Hong Kong, shouts of "ZaiZai!" all merged as one. From the moment Zhou Yu Min arrived up to the time he left, the screaming never stopped.
