Zheng Yuan Chang gets one over ZaiZai and Leehom (One Weekly #244)

In this article, One Weekly reports that Vita500, a health drink in Korea, is trying to break into the Taiwan beverage market by getting a celebrity endorser. With Rain as its spokesperson in Korea, they wanted someone whose stature and popularity in Taiwan is equal to Rain's in Korea. The first choice was originally ZaiZai, but there was some trouble and the contract fell through at the last minute. They finally settled for Zheng Yuan Chang for NT$3,500,000.

Considering One Weekly's penchant for embellishing and exagerrating stories (it is a sister company of Taiwan Apple Daily, which should speak for itself *rolls eyes*), please read this with a grain of salt. As ZaiZai is already a spokesperson for an international beverage brand - Pepsi, and its exclusivity makes it very difficult for him to endorse for another brand of drink in Taiwan or China while he is still under contract with Pepsi. Leehom was also considered, but he is also already a spokesperson for a major brand of tea drink in Taiwan. It is quite possible that this is the reason why both were not available. ~ grendel

Because this product is as popular in Korea as Yakult is in Taiwan, its daily output reaching as high as 3,000,000 bottles and selling 60,000,000 bottles each month, the South Korean company zeroed in on the Korean wave in Taiwan. They were interested in introducing the product even without a distributing agent yet, and so they sought the aid of Taiwan magazine "Man's Uno", which they've worked with before, to help them search for a spokesperson. It is reported that the company's very first choice was F4, who is popular in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Malaysia, and Singapore, hoping to get a member of F4 to endorse for them. Among F4, they were most pleased with Jerry Yan and ZaiZai; but because Jerry Yan is currently filming "White Tower" (a.k.a "The Hospital"), and also because ZaiZai's popularity escalated greatly after "Mars" was broadcasted in Japan, the manufacturers therefore, chose ZaiZai.

According to report, ZaiZai's popularity in Taiwan is not unlike Rain's in Korea. Rain's fee is approximately NT$20,000,000, while ZaiZai's agency asked for an endorsement fee of NT$6,000,000. In comparison, the Korean manufacturers considered it quite reasonable, and both parties reached an agreement. But something happened just before signing the contract. Wan Feng Bio-tech Co., Ltd of Taiwan signed the contract to become its distributing agent in mid-December last year, but they never thought that there would be trouble for ZaiZai's NT$6,000,000 endorsement contract because of this.

Wang Leehom dropped because the price is too high

Reportedly, when Wan Feng Bio-tech Co., Ltd won the dealership last mid-December, they searched for a spokesperson intensively. Because the Korean manufacturers have originally decided on ZaiZai to endorse for them, even planning to come to Taiwan on January 20 to hold a press conference (http://www.tsinoy.com/forum/editpost.php?do=editpost&p=341133#), therefore when they signed the contract with Wan Feng Bio-tech Co., Ltd, they indicated their hope that the time of their visit to Taiwan will be unchanged, upon which Wan Feng Bio-tech Co., Ltd promised to settle the matter of the spokesperson in this short period of time.

The western Valentine's Day is soon to be here. Reflecting on entertainment circle's year 2005, it was full of happy things one after another. Artists are not only conducting their romances in higher profile, they are also acting hotter on TV screens. They really make people envious!

The 'Cash Box' magazine announced today (Jan. 25) the result of its voting, "The couple you most don't want to see with a happy ending". ZhouHou were the champions, with 3641 votes (38.81% of total votes). DaZai ranked second with 2395 votes (25.48% of total votes). Among the foreign artists, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolin received 2256 votes (23.99% of total votes), leading Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes who have received 1522 votes (15.88% of total votes).

Despite not favored over the Internet, ZhouHou Lian has been going on in a low key manner for a year and has won mother-in-law Lin Yue Yun's blessing that they were destined for each other. Days ago they were even voted to be the couple most likely to get married from pregnancy.

On the hand, DaZai Lian can't wait for the world to know how much they love each other. Zaizai frequently shows up at the Xu's and gives paparazzi the opportunities to take photos. The first thoughts of DaS when she promoted for a watch company was to give Zaizai a watch to tie him down. When she was promoting for SKII, she said it was very romantic to do facial mask for a guy. The two even shopped hand in hand at the Breeze Center on a year-end holiday. They have been behaving in such a high profile manner; no wonder people over Internet feel backfired on them.

Vic Zhou and Barbie Xu returned to Yilan to celebrate the lunar new
year's day. They also went to the scenic winter mountain spot and were
very happy together. Every spring, Vic Zhou makes it a point to be
able to return to native place Yilan to visit old father. But this
year, he is accompanied by girlfriend Da S on the side.

Vic Zhou acted as Da S tourguide to tour his gf to Yilan and brought
her to the famous scenic spot, also went to the school where he
studied, both in elementary and high school. At night, 2 people
enjoyed a trip to locality "the winter mountains and river" and had a
time sharing! There were many tourists around but Da S and Zaizai
never put on their sunglasses, they even queued when they had to buy
stamps, passers by recognized them, approached them and greeted them
Chinese new year and the 2 also naturally said "wishing you a
prosperous new year" to the passer-by. There were also people who went
forward to request for a group photo. After touring in the scenerie
spot for 3 hours, they left the place.

Zaizai and Da S caused a sensation in the entire Yilan.

DaZaiLian adds temperature, takes a stroll at the lake

DaS went back to YiLan with her boyfriend ZaiZai to celebrate Chinese New Years with ZaiZai's father. After having a warm get together dinner for New Years, the couple went for a stroll along the lake, even the fans could recognize them!

ZaiZai comes from a divorced family, and being the good son he is, he goes back every year to celebrate and wish his father a new year. This year, he has his girlfriend DaS to accompany him. The two drove to YiLan, and had dinner with DaS's future father-in-law, and being the sweet and loving boyfriend ZaiZai is, he took his girlfriend to his old schools.

Because they were seen together by fans, some fans went online and had a discussion. A fan named <Nomod> said: "Around 5 oclock, i saw a nice car driving by, it was DaS and ZaiZai!"

There were tourists and fans that recognized them, and the couple greeted them a Happy New Year, but when pictures were requested, they kindly rejected.

When asked about the couple returning back to YiLan together, ZaiZai's manager replied: "It's the New Years, celebraties have to live their own life too!"

Zaizai brings Da S to meet his parents

Vic Zhou Zaizai and Xu Xi Yuan Da S who is now in the love river, spent the chinese lunar new year back at Yilan on the first day of chinese new year. Da S specially went to visit his future lao ye. After the family of 3 finished eating their reunion dinner, both of them went to a famous local tourist spot, Dong Shan He, very sweet !

Zaizai would always return to his old home in Yilan to visit his father during the chinese lunar new year. This year, he has his girlfriend, Da S, along with him so it's especially sweet. On the morning of the first day of the chinese lunar new year, they drove back to Yilan and in the afternoon, they had lunch with Zaizai's dad in the afternoon. After the family of 3 finished their meal, Zaizai became the "tour guide" and brought Da S to the various tourist spots and also brought his girlfriend to see the primary and secondary school that he have attended before.

Around evening time, both of them were strolling at the local's Dong Shang River. As it was the first day of the chinese lunar new year, there was a exceptional more tourists. As Zaizai and Da S were not wearing shades, they were being recognized when they queued up to get tickets. They were being approached and people started greeting them. Both of them appeared generous and told them, "Gong Xi Fa Cai". However, when someone approached them for a picture together, they walked away in a hurry hand in hand. They continued to play around there and left only 3 hours later.

The appearence of Zaizai and Da S created "chaos" in Yilan. Many online mates started discussing about it. A online mate by the nick of nomod was the one who sold the tickets to Zaizai and Da S. He described the scene, "I was selling tickets there as i was doing my army reservice. At around 5plus, i saw a sports car driving towards. When i looked again, it was actually Zaizai and Da S !"

As to the "chaos" created by Zaizai and Da S, Zaizai's manager, Zhi Xiang Li replied and said, "It's the new year, the celebrity has their rights to living their own private life."

Zaizai himself love spending the chinese lunar new year because there's lots of delicious food. Zaizai loves "writing big words" thought he don't write well. However, he enjoys writing calligraphy, many placed in his house were all written by him.

Both the F4 members and the crew were excited with this memorable first group shooting in Japan… Jerry and Vanness, who finished their solo shots were particularly relaxed. When they were ready for the shooting, however, it started raining! So, unfortunately, only a few shots were taken before the entire crew took shelter in the bus.

The rain stopped while they were in transit, so when the crew arrived at Tokyo Tower it was nice and sunny. Vic and Ken arrived only the day before, so they were a bit nervous. But they were “forced” into these kids’ ride at the kids playground and started becoming active. Vanness got into the Anbanman and he loved it so much that he asked the cameraman to take a picture. This shot was included in the picture album and was one of the popular shots.

As a refreshing change to the many off-stage looks from the shooting thus far, the theme here was the “stylish on-stage look of F4”. Vic and Ken, who loosened up with the shooting by then, played a little prank. On the other hand, Jerry and Vanness must have got a little tired from the rides at Tokyo tower so they took some rest on the sofa. What a nice contrast of the members. Following the group shots were solo cuts, starting from Jerry. Vic was very cute when he waited quietly for his turn.

~9:00 Shooting of Vic at Shibuya (Picture H)

First shots at a busy scramble intersection by Shibuya train station. Fortunately it was early in the morning so not that many people noticed Vic. Totally blended in with Shibuya streets, Vic posted with cute gestures like shown in H for the cameraman. At the intersection, the staff was planning to take shots while it was green; but Vic played a prank and pretended that he wasn't crossing the intersection in time.

For this shooting, the crew prepared some traditional Japanese tea (like those seen in Japanese tea ceremony) in an old-fashioned Japanese-style room with tatami. Vic stared at the tea, looking quite amazed. When asked if he would like to drink the tea after shooting was done, Vic paused and thought for a while before responding: "It looks so bitter ...I'll pass." He was also attracted by things like sliding doors, etc.

After taking some group shots at the house studio, the crew was planning to move to Yoyoki Garden in the afternoon for more shooting. But, it rained again and this time, it was thundering as well. It didn't look like the rain would stop anytime soon so the crew had to make changes to the schedule. When he heard of the changes, Vic said, "Maybe I brought rain over again". I had been called "God of Rain" these days." Vic would later reveal this story at the press conference the following day.

Vic arrived at the site a bit early that day so he went to a coffee shop at the intersection of 4th street of Ginza (Ginza shichoume). Then the members re-grouped for this last shooting. On the streets of Ginza, F4 stood by a limousine in black suits. Passerbys couldn't help but let out "Oh they look so good!!"

Inside Scoop - Episode 4

F4 made a toast on the streets of Ginza! Except for Ken, the other 3 members wrapped out their shooting for the album. When the last shot was taken, they took the champagne (staged for shooting) and started toasting on the occasion! Vanness and Vic even got out of the limousine and started drinking (by the bottle!) on the streets. This scene was quite incredible to look at, with the evening Ginza streets as background. Pedestrians were probably quite amazed to see F4 on the streets of Tokyo.

After the press conference, F4 requested hamburger for lunch. So the staff rushed to get a lot of burgers for them. All four of them thanked the staff by saying "Arigatou Gozaimasu!"

Okay guys, as promised, here's the brief translation of the clip.....i won't translate everything, will translate the parts i think are funny.....

Initially, it was Xiao S and the male host talking.....they were poking fun at Zai Zai's pronunciation (*hmph*) and were talking about how they were gonna test him with tongue-twisters later on....

then it was some background info there have been many idol groups from Taiwan over the years, but currently there are only 13 main ones left....and F4 leads the pack (in fan clubs, or fans, i think)!!!!!!! (5566 is the next, followed by comic boys, then tension) haha, i like how they ended off the background info today, we've invited the idol of the idols, Zai Zai Zhou Yu Min, to come onto the show....HEE HEE

So the show started.
XS: Xiao S (small S)
KY: Kang Yong (male host)

KY: So, there's a shuai ge (good-looking guy) coming on our show today, are u especially happy?
XS: yup.
KY: but he's younger than you!

KY: chey, its not as if i care about our age gap, unlike you...

then he started promoting zai zai's album, and the calender that comes with it....

KY suggested to XS that she should go get zai zai to autograph the calender, then sell each month individually. and she says nah, coz its not as if he's bare-chested. and this somehow led to a big discussion about nipples. more specifically, about XS's obsession with pinching Zai Zai's nipples....
coz the last time he was on ASOS, she actually did it to him, giving him a major shock...!!! check out how he folds his arms protectively over his chest as XS approaches him....HAHAHAHA

then there was some background info about zai zai, his dramas and albums....

then zai zai described the incident on which XS pinched his nipples!!!!! (u gotta watch him) then KY was like "wow, he's wearing so many layers,how did u manage to aim correctly?" and XS was like "i can do it to you too..!"

the format of the show is such that they invited 3 of zai zai's friends to be on the show, to hopefully spill the beans about Zai Zai's private life.....so they introduced the 3 of them. First guy's Li En, this guy who worked on the set in MG1 and then became ZaiZai's pretty good friend. Second guy's Liu Geng Hong, the guy who played the gay Shan Pu in Poor Prince. and third is Ai Le Fen who's F4's makeup artist who travels everywhere with them.

so anyway XS asked the first guy Li En if he and Zai Zai were close, as in if they would go out with each other....and Zai Zai, anticipating that XS's evil tongue might try to fish out details, he was like "no no no, we're not that close...." (which isn't true, coz as u watch on, Li En always talks about how they would hang out in Zai Zai's house, and go to karaoke and such)
anyway, then XS was like "oh so is he closer to u than F3?" Zai Zai was "oh no no!" then gave a big grin. [which i think means that he didn't mean what he said. i mean im not surprised if ZaiZai's closer to this guy than F3, coz after all, the 4 of them are so busy, and would rarely have time to hang out! it'd be sad if Zai Zai didn't have other friends....]

And then Xiao S started twisting her hands around and saying "ooh, u're avoiding my gaze..." and then Zai Zai was like "be careful where you move your hands!!!" [poor guy must still be traumatised by the nipple pinching incident...haha]

okay so next XS was like okay lets do the tongue twisters now....
An KY was like "but we havent even finished introducing his friends yet!"
and then they started talking more to the 3 guests. They asked if Ai Le Fen was close to Zai Zai and she was like "we're okay"
and XS was like "gosh, Zai Zai, you really have no friends huh"
and then XS asked Geng Hong if he's closer to Jay Chou or Zai Zai and Geng Hong said "Jay Chou" [DUH, Geng Hong and Jay Chou are like best of friends! practically inseparable...but anyway....] then he asked if Geng Hong was close to Andy Lau, and GH was like "nope"... then XS and KY started talking about how u cannot make stars look bad on shows when u're interviewing them, else u'll suffer big-time from the whiplash of the fans....get majorly dissed by their fans and such. and then KY says"and this is why we shouldnt proceed with the tongue twisters..." and XS responded "nah it should be okay, i've done it to him tons of times and i'm still alive and kicking..." then she added as a punchline "ha but actually my left leg's fake...."

and then they started on the tongue twisters....XS attempted to demonstrate, but messed up TWICE....haha
she was like "hey producer, can we cut this part out?"
then Zai Zai managed to say it correctly....yea!!!

okay so they got back to interviewing Ai Le Fen about her relationship to Zai Zai.
XS asked " so out of F4, are u closest to Zai Zai" and she was like "about the same"
KY asked, "so who do u think is the best looking guy out of F4?" and she pondered for awhile, then said " him (zai zai)"....
they zoomed in on zai zai, as she continued joking "oh he gave me money just now to say that..."

then XS asked "so out of the 4 of them, who has the worst skin?"
and then Ai Le Fen was like "erm..."
and Zai Zai was like "fine, fine say its me...." [AWWWW.....he's so protective of his friends! coz he knew who she was gonna say and he didn't want her to say it our....at least this is what i think]

and then Ai Le Fen was like "fine.....its Ken!"
and then Zai Zai was so surprised....(check out his face!!!)he was like "oh, haha, you said it out after all!!!"

then it was Li En's turn....he was talking about how he and Zai Zai got to become friends. He told everyone how initially when they first filming MG1, zai zai was pretty friendly to all the workers (aww....) and then he would go "hey Li En, do u want some spit (tan)???" and then Li En will get all confused and be like "why in the world would i want your spit?" and then he realized that Zai Zai was actually offering him "tanG" (sweets)

so they continued to talk about speech problems. and zai zai admitted that he was very lazy, so he tends to not open his mouth properly when talking, and thus end up eating some of his words, as in the "tan" vs "tang" case....then he told this funny story about this guy he met who was the complete opposite of him, andwould over pronounce all his words!!! like rice(fan) this guy would call "fanG"....
so more of his speech problem....Zai Zai was like,hm when i first got to Taipei from Yilan (his hometown) i used to always wonder who caused my speech to be so bad, and i never found out till one fine day when i went home to visit my mom, and realized that she spoke in the same way that he does occasionally!!! so he was like, ha, so i solved that mystery....!

PART 2

so the hosts ask zai zai if he was the best-looking guy in yilan....and zai zai had a "what am i supposed to say" look on his face....
then he went on to say, oh yilan's famous for pretty girls, coz they've got really nice skin....

then next, they asked Ai Le Fen if she knew what kind of girls zai zai liked...
and Zai Zai immediately said, "oh, she should know"...
AiLe Fen said, " gosh, i can't say..." and then the hosts were telling her not to be so shy....and Zai Zai chipped in with "oh, and she specially dyed her hair to appear on this show!"

and then Ai Le Fen's response was "Dog Fart!"
and that shocked everyone, haha. (especially zai zai)
then she said "oh he likes hot girls...." (HM.....)
but zai zai denied that.

then the hosts asked her how she knew, and she said "oh sometimes at autograph sessions, he'll lean over and tell her that wow that fan was really pretty"

haha, so XS asked him, wow so you guys (F4) do take notice and gossip about your fans huh....

and zai zai told the F4 in Singapore/Malaysia story....
hes aid there was this time they were having this autograph session there,and this REALLY GORGEOUS girl with fair skin (and he was like oh, which is very unusual coz most pple there are usually on the tanned side) and basically all 4 of them were staring at her.....he said she had this shy little smile. he was the last person to shake her hand, and he said while shaking her hand he could see that F3 turned their heads back to stare.... (LUCKY HER!) and imitated their mesmerised looks.
then he said he leaned over to Ken and said "wow, not bad huh" and Ken was like "yeah!!!!"

and after she left they were discussing how they should have tried picking her up by a suggestive handshake....(zai zai demonstrates this finger wiggling handshake...hahahahah)
then he quickly added "oh hey im joking, we were just joking!!! it was really funny then..."

the host was like "but u guys didn't have to be joking, it could have been for real, couldn't it? she's your fan, she would have been more than happy, you know...."

and then zai zai was like " oh no, seriously we were just kidding around..."

next they showed this board with 2 columns :
1. The Zai Zai that we see
2. The Zai Zai that we don't usually see

thef irst item in column 1 was "princely air, and then ______" (sorry, i don't know what that means...i think it means clean image, ie good boyimage)

then they asked Li En whether that was true, and Li En was like "are u talking about his house?" (check out Zai Zai's expression here....he was so tickled!! coz Li En took the literal meaning of the phrase i think.) Li En then started telling them about how Zai Zai's house was definitely NOT clean.
he was like "oh ZaiZai's house is filled with leftover instant noodles, and that Zai Zai always buys cans of drinks back to his house, drinks part of it, then just leaves it on the table. and the next time they visit, not only will the cans still be there, but there would be MORE half drunk cans lying around...!!!! until the table has no more space left...!!!!

then Zai Zai was like oh, whenever i go for autograph sessions, the fans always give me lotsa food, and i would have to depend on Li En and this other friend of mine to help me eat it all up..!!

and then Li Enwas like, oh and another friend of ours will help zai zai send his clothes to the laundry/wash his clothes (not too sure which he meant)

then the nosy XS was like "oh so is Zai Zai's underwear dirty?"
and Li En was like "erm....i didn't take special notice of it"
then he added "OH but zai zai likes to wear only his underwear at home...!!!!!" and then he was like "oh that zai zai likes to wear his underwear with his socks in his house...!!!"
Everyone cracked up at this, and Zai Zai was raising his hand and saying "wait wait let me explain!!!"

so he was like " Hey i don't wear socks with underwear on purpose! u see,when i reach home i'll strip off my shirt and pants to get comfortable....and then i'll conveniently forget to take off my socks...."

so the first item under the second column was "Zai Zai likes to wear only his underwear in the house..."

then after that they showed some NG clips of Poor Prince....
so the second item under the first column was " Zai Zai's mandarin pronunciation is not accurate" and the second item in the second column was "but his Taiwanese is even lousier...!"

then Zai Zai was like "yeah a lot of pple assume that since i don't speak mandarin that well, i speak Taiwanese at home, but actually we don't"

and then XS was like "oh gosh, then how do you and your family communicate!??!?!" (she was poking fun at how they can't understand each other's poor mandarin, and they can't speak Taiwanese either...)

and then Zai Zai pretended to use sign language.....HAHAHAHA

and KY asked XS, do u think your Taiwanese is worse, or his is worse....and Zai Zai was like "hers"

so they started reading this board with Taiwanese words on it....
and apparently no one there could really read it properly...haha
(sorry, im no judge since i don't know Taiwanese)

so then they moved on to the third item in the first column which was "Gentle, with retarded responses..."
and KY was like "how can this is a compliment?!?!?!"
XS asked Zai Zai if he was angry with such a desscription....

ZaiZai was like "nope....i'm happy... coz if they have low expectations of me, then if one day i'll be quick with words, then everyone will be pleasantly surprised...."

then Geng Hong was like "Among F4, Zai Zai is the one who most easily makes people laugh..."

and Zai Zai was like "oh usually its me and vanness..."

then somehow Zai Zai started talking about how at press conferences, he thinks its a serious event and so he would wanna wear a suit/tux.
but they'll make him wear the high collared sweaters....
and he'll get all grumpy and say "so, how is this different from what i wore? why do i have to change???"

SO next XS was like "Zai Zai is a really easy going guy, but there are some things that he's very particular about....like he can't go hungry.."

Zai Zai was like "its okay if we work till we're very tired, but u can't deprive a hungry person of food, thats not right...!!"

XS:Big S used to say that u're really nice, but u get all grumpy when u get hungry....so do the workers comfort u when u are grumpy?

ZZ: no!! they will scold me and say "whats with the grumpy face?!?!"

XS: then if Jerry Yan gets grumpy, do they dare do that to him?

ZZ: yeap, they'll do the same! beat it out of him! (whacking motion)

ZZ: nah, i was just kidding. the workers know that when i'm grumpy, it means im hungry, so they will go get some food for me...

KY: so what kind of cars do u race?

ZZ: haha, go-cart!!!!!!

GengHong was like "yeah he loves cars a lot. i remember him being very proud of his car, a BMW. it was a second hand, but still, he was very pleased with it. tho i heard that he changed to a different car soon after"

SO they asked Li En if he has sat in ZZ's car and raced along before....

Li En: erm, within reasonable traffic standards, i guess...

ZZ chips in "yup, not more than double the speed limit?"

XS: so ZZ, since u love cars so much, will u get really angry if someone scratches your car?

ZZ:yes! i really hate it when people dont take care/appreciate cars....like for example, if i give someone a lift, and when they get out they slam the door, i'll get really annoyed. and i prob wont wanna give them a lift next time.

Geng Hong: thats coz the car door of the second hand car will fall off....

XS: will u get into an argument with your girlfriend over a car?

ZZ: well, between gf and car, gf's more important!

KY: so XS are u gonna ask so who's his girlfriend?

[2/04/06] DaS, ZaiZai, sweetly live in a hot springs hotel

DaS went back to YiLan with ZaiZai over the New Years, it seems like good news is soon! It was seen by fans that DaS and ZaiZai have stayed in a hot springs/spa hotel soon after the New Years. Coincidently, the day after, DaS's ex boyfriend BlueLanZhenLong also checked in in the same hotel. Good thing the couple left a few hours earlier, or else it would have been awkward!

DaS seems to like YiLan boys, both her ex and current boyfriend are from YiLan. Ever since the couple openly admitted their relationship, there have been reports regarding marriage, pregnancy, etc but none have been confirmed by the couple. For New Years, DaS accompanied her boyfriend, ZaiZai, back to his hometown to have dinner with his family. After that, they took a stroll alongside the river, and ZaiZai even acted as a tourguide, giving DaS a tour of his town and his childhood, bringing her to his old schools.

Not long after the New Year, the two of them stayed overnight in a hot springs hotel. When they checked in, ZaiZai was still wearing his mask. The two reserved 2 rooms, but no one knows if they actually slept in seperate rooms during the night.

At night, they couple didnt leave the hotel premises, not until they left for breakfast. They talked, they laughed, it was very warm and they seemed to be enjoying themselves. Around noon, the two finally left the hotel. Not long after their leave, DaS ex flame BlueLanZhenLong arrived and checked-in.

He didn’t particularly care for expensive or inexpensive clothing, nor did he seem to have a preference over any style; so the crew decided to try different garments and accessories on him. Of course the crew had to consider how well the costume picked would fit with the theme. Most importantly, the staff had to make sure the costume fitted with Vic’s “good boy image”. If the costume looked too wild, it would not match well with Vic’s overall image.

A T-shirt with words or pictures on the front might make him look too young (gk: I disagree!). Their costumes are in both warm and cold colors; while they vividly depict F4’s individual personalities, the overall tone is consistent so that they could exchange their clothing with one another. Each of them has a “remake” costume; surprisingly these costumes are not easy for fitting. The theme for the “in-version” group shot shown on page 11 was “The foursome who visited their former teacher in autumn”. Although what they wore were not suits their costumes for this “occasion” were not over-informal/over-casual. Because it was for an autumn outing, the colors they chose were a bit darker. Every F4 members showed a slightly different feel in this shooting as compared to at Tokyo tower.

To contrast the bright red tank top worn on the inside, this shirt is orange-pink. The collar is a two-layered design that looks a bit like a remake shirt. For Vic, cutting that brings a fuller volume around his neckline and shoulders would look best. The material selected is a stretch-material.

Tank top with prints (Vic)

Because Vic is the youngest among F4, the staff wanted to put bright-color clothing on him. However, they had to consider the overall balance with the rest of the members as well so in the end they settled for this top. The tank top is balanced with black color blending in the base red color which also prevents Vic from looking too feminine.

Selection of suits and texture co-ordination; for sure the staff did a great job showcasing F4’s good-looks.

The fitting staff had to consider two versions of suits. One version is for the setting of “night party in Ginza”, while the other is for publicity and general press release (i.e., have to be less dashy and more formal). Therefore, for the Ginza shooting, the fitting staff decided against ordinary neckties and suits and decided (from parts to styles) on something that highlighted F4’s unique personalities. On top of that, since the shooting site is Ginza, they could even wear something sexy, those sometimes seen on female escorts (gk: I’m not quite sure what type of escorts the writers were referring to…maybe referring to escorting women to a party?). Of course, the members also looked great in the other suits for studio shooting (press release purpose, p. 10); the coordination for those suits however was carefully considered to ensure overall balance. One style for each member – the designs they wore for press release shooting were also extraordinary and emphasized their unique presence.

Suit – Vic

Vic’s suit was tightly fitted for his shape so needless to say, Vic’s physique was portrayed beautifully in this suit. In addition, the suit’s colors/toning also looked very pretty. The shirt is lined with diamond coating; the shirt itself is made of a more reflective/shinny type of materials so probably even girls would like it. Vic liked this suit so much that he bought it after the shooting. This suit is one of the Japanese young men’s favorite styles these days.

Limestone Wallet Chain – Vic

This shinny accessory runs down from the belt and among the members, only Vic would look good in shinny accessories like this one. Vic was worried at the beginning: “I’m looking cute like a girl with this on…are you sure it’s ok?” No problem; Vic looked really good in this piece of accessory.

Face-to-face with Vic in Guangzhou

A Harry Porter fan himself, Vic role-played as the Principal of "Pepsi Magic School" and showcased his magical tricks as well as his (newly acquired) tongue-twisting skills. Vic was smiling during the entire event, and was more articulate than usual. When fans cried out "We'll be cheering for the two of you!!" Vic grinned while replying: "You'll be cheering for me and whom?? Ah, I see. "Mars" was great, wasn't it?" Needless to say, fans let out joyful cries immediately after hearing this.

A Review of Vic's Work in 2005

New Drama Broadcast in 2006 and the Group Concert!!

Vic began the year 2005 with his first public appearance as a guest for Ken's promotional event (Album "On Ken's Time"). He made his first official visit to Japan in March and helped promoting the F4 boom in Japan! In 2006, we are anxiously awaiting the broadcast of his upcoming drama, "Silence", the release of a new F4 album and the F4 concert!

The most unforgettable moment of Vic in 2005 was during his first official visit to Japan in March. He showed up with an un-pretentious smile at fan meetings and a radio talk show (live open for public view). Following his visit, F4 attended a press conference in Tokyo, lifting the curtains for Faryu (Chinese Storm). The commercial shooting of F4 in Hong Kong in May, however, would mark the last public appearance of all 4 members in 2005.

In late May, Vic went on a promotional campaign for Mars in Beijing and Guangzhou, China. He then joined Jerry Yan and Louis Koo in participating at a Pepsi event in June. He was passionately supported by his fans at the event, fully demonstrating his tremendous popularity.

Starting July, Vic took on his biggest project for the year - the shooting of new drama Silence. Perhaps due to the need to play a terminally ill patient in the drama, or maybe due to the harsh shooting schedule, Vic sharply lost a lot of weight at some point. Around this time, Vic also had a car accident (and his car was hit again in Sept); so many of his fans and media were concerned of his psychological health and status. Other than attending a press conference/promotion in September for a candy product he endorses, Vic virtually disappeared in public view while fully engaging in shooting Silence in Qingdao, China, and Taiwan. Also, little was known about the shooting status/progress.

Fortunately, shooting of Silence was smoothly wrapped up in November. On December 13th, Vic led a Pepsi event in Guangzhou in his best-known bright and happy self. During the press conference that followed, he was asked a question regarding his private life; even so, Vic didn't appear offended and responded very properly with a smile, fully displaying his maturity level. And, he firmly indicated that "We know that fans are looking forward to seeing F4 together again. Although we were trying to plan for a concert, it was difficult to fit everybody's schedule. But, we definitely are shooting for 2006!"

Toward the end of the year, Vic reportedly began recording for the 3rd F4 album. Silence was also scheduled for release (broadcast) in Taiwan by May 2006. He was also supposedly reviewing some proposals for his new project. In 2006, we hope to see Vic work at full gear, much like he did in 2005.

Vic's Profile

Born on June 9th in Taiwan. Debut in Meteor Garden as Hanazawa Rui in 2001. Nick name: Zai Zai. Other work included Poor Prince (01), Love Storm (03), and Mars (04). Also released two solo albums.

Concert starting in Hong Kong for 4 days! (gk: as it turns out, it's 3 at the moment)

The long-awaited F4 concert is finally set on March 22-25 at Hong Kong Coliseum. It is generally considered an honor among artists/singers to be able to have a concert at the HK Coliseum. There are also rumors that F4 will have a concert in Japan as well. F4's agent (gk: now F3¡) had sent out requests to site owners of many overseas fan web sites to conduct surveys on "the type of songs and themes fans want" for the concert. Maybe there's a good chance to see a F4 concert in Japan later?

It is common to release a new album prior to having a concert. So will we soon see the third F4 album release? According to insiders, recording for this album had begun. Rumors have it that Ken had finished recording for a solo song. We think there will be solos for each members, group songs and maybe duets. We are also wondering if the album will be released in March, right before the concert?

Both Da Xiao S had their fruits from their relationships last year. They would definitely be busy in this year's Valentine's Day. However, their schedules revealed from their PR was different! The PR version was given by Hsu mama, saying that both would stay at home to accompany Elly to spend the Valentine's Day. Another version was from Da S and Zaizai's dating. Xiao S to run first then joined in by her husband!

Xiao S would spend her Valentine's Day in a interesting way, Da S is way way back behind. According to the outside world, Zaizai would be busy today and won't have time to accompany his girlfriend but he would be very free at night. 'A delicious relationship' starring a new team, 'Hou Zai Pei (a match of Hou and Zai)', will soon start its shooting. Last night, producer Angie Chai rented a whole French restaurant to arrange a get-together for Patty Hou and Zaizai to share a delayed Valentine's night.

The French restaurant is discreetly located on the 2nd floor of a residential building and has an elegant atmosphere. Zaizai and Patty Hou have their first meeting for marriage surrounded by romantic atmosphere. The mother of Idol Drama Angie Chai and Golden-Bell-award winning director Chui Yo Ning acted as their match makers. Indeed, 'Hou Zai Pei' have already caused a sensation even before they start.

Yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Zaizai arrived first at the restaurant to take cooking lessons. At night at 7 o'clock, the guests of honor invited to the dinner party started to show up one after another. Angie Chai arrived first, immediately following by Patty Hou. Patty Hou looked surprised when she found media waiting. Angie Chai hurriedly pushed her from the back and urged her to go upstairs. 'A delicious relationship' is adapted from a Japanese manga. The Japanese-edition TV series starred Toshiaki Karasawa and Miho Nakayama. In the drama, Zaizai will act as a chef who possesses excellent culinary skills but is with an unsociable personality. Patty Hou will act as a rich girl who has sharp taste buds and loves gourmet food.

awww Zai Zai looks thin in those pics. sighhhhh, I hope he gains a little more weight. been watching Mars and everytime I gush and giggle at how GOOD he looks during those times. :( He should eat more, sleep more, take care of himself more.

Mind if I post in here? In fairness, looking at VIC"s pictures taken at the airport, it looks like he gain a little weight. Just fair enough to make him look sexy. And take notice of his complexion, so very smooth, no skin blemishes. And much more his aura, it can't be deny, he's a picture of a man who seems fulfilled, so contented and very happy. A MAN WHO IS VERY MUCH IN LOVE.

It's only fair to say BARBIE KNOWS HOW TO TAKE CARE OF HER MAN.

Really there are few people who seems to find means just to criticized even if it is baseless and unfounded. It's so unfair and it's not a healthy habit.

My best regards to MCBEAL, who seems to me is a very sensible person just like BARBIE.

Zaizai and Vanness arrived in HK yesterday to do a start for HK's concert. While they were at Taiwan airport waiting to go up the plane, both of them did the V sign together. The only thing that was different was, Zaizai showed the opposite side of V. HK media took suspicion in the V sign. Showing the opposite side of the V sign is scolding someone. However, Zaizai's manager explained, "There is no special meaning to the V sign, he is very happy, that's all."

F4 would be holding 4 concerts in HK's Hong Guan, Zaizai and Vanness Wu yesterday arrived first in HK. Zaizai, who is in love with Da S appears to be very low profiled as he was afraid he might be asked about his relationship matters. When he was photographed, his left hand showed the opposit V sign. Tian Xin ever expressed on air that she was being corrected by her boyfriend when she showed the opposit V sign during photographing, saying that the sign was very unsightly. Manager, Zhi Xiang Li expressed, Zaizai was very happy yesterday and has no intentions of scolding people.

19:35 - MC and fans chanted "1,2,3" as F4 stepped onto the stage, in the order of Ken, Vic, Vanness and Jerry

Fans were over-joyed to see all 4 members appeared; the mall was filled with loud screams. Began with "we're F4" they spoke of their thoughts on the upcoming concert and their visit to HK. Every now and then, they mixed their answers with some Cantonese, delighting their local fans.

Ken: "The biggest difference in this concert is that we'll sing more solos. We'd like to show you the new F4. Jerry's gonna be hung by a wire and dance in the air; Vanness will break some stones, and Vic will swallow a sword! There will be lots of interesting things to see! Please look forward to our performances!" (gk: I think he's kidding)

Vanness: "We'll integrate more dances in this concernt. Currently, I'm practising with Vic. We're picking costumes that are light enough to allow us to move more freely."

Vic: "I'm so happy to get to meet and see the fans today! But it's a shame that I can't go out and enjoy good food freely. The hotel is fully packed and surrounded by fans, so I think we can only eat inside the hotel."

Jerry: "Our get-together after a while reminds me of the good old days in 'Meteor Garden'. The F of F4 stands for "Forever". The theme for this concert is that 'we're forever foursome.'"

Then they lifted the curtains to display the new concert poster and then made a toast in pepsi with the evenet organizers.

After the fan meeting there was a press conference at the backstage. These are the 2 questions directly from 華流．ｎｅｔ

Q: What kind of solo performances do you plan to show us at the concert?

J: Vanness is really good dancer so if possible, I'd like to dance with superdancer Vanness.

V: Yeah; I'm thinking maybe I can do some dance moves with Jerry.

K: I'll play the percussion (drums types). Zai can be MC (grin)

Z: Yeah, it'd be nice if I can be MC (grin)

Q: Why did you decide to start your concert tour in HK?

K: HK is considered the center of entertainment in Asia and is well-equipped with all that's needed for a concert. So we decided on HK as my first stop. We're still planning for tours to other countries.

Q: We're very much looking forward to this!

F4: Thank you (in Japanese)

At the backstage they said "Thank you" and "Hello" in Japanese. Also, they said they'd be looking forward to their Japanese fans to come to the concert.

[2/19/06] F4 attends Press Con, Da S doesn't mind Zaizai revealing flesh

Yesterday night at 9pm, Apm's grand lobby, F4 specially came to Hk for the press conference. This press conference in APM attracted more than a hundred media to attend and the whole place was being crowded by F4 fans, the whole scene was very high.

During the press conference, fans were shouting F4 all the way, showing warmth. And they also held a special start ceremony to wish their concert next month to be a big success. When asked what special performances they would be having, Ken laughed and said, Vanness would be breaking stones with his chest, Zaizai would be swallowing swords, Jerry would be Dai Wei Ye and he would be playing with fire. And would they be showing their body muscles during the concert ? When Zaizai, Vanness and Jerry all said they didn't mind, only Ken said he will not show. He pointed out that he have always place music as the main point. As to whether they will be doing hot dance ? Ken expressed the same that he wont while Zaizai, Jerry and Vanness said they didn't mind. Reporters laughed and asked Zaizai, whether he was afraid his girlfriend, Da S would mind ? Zaizai asked the reporter, have you asked her ? He believes that his girlfriend will not mind, as everyone understands it is for work. Zaizai doesn't know if his girlfriend would come to watch his concert but when Jerry was asked if Lin Zhi Ling would be coming to watch, Jerry appeared embarassed and didn't know how to answer. Vanness helped him and said as long as it's good friends, they can come. Earlier on, there were rumours that Da S was pregnant, Zaizai expressed that it have been explained before, it is Xiao S who is pregnant. He praised Xiao S that she is very interesting. Asked if he has the rush intention to be a dad, he admitted that he did want to get married earlier in the past but he have changed his mind, hoping to put his career first.

[2/19/06] Reunites to do a start for Concert, Wants to hug F4, Hk fans Out of Control

F4, who have not appeared publicly together, held their F4 Forever 4 concert press conference last night in HK. The 4 of them arrived in HK airport at a different time, attracting more than a hundred fans to recieve them. Some even had the motive of hugging their idol, the scene was a little out of control.

This concert had started its preparation since mid last year and it would be held in 4 concerts on the 22nd of March in HK. This is also F4's 2nd concert tour and the first station is HK. Afterwhich, they would be going around Asia, Korea, Japan but Taiwan have not been fixed yet. As all of them have their each individual future, no one can tell whether there would be a 3rd world tour. Thus, this might be the last annivessary of F4.

Ken Chu arrived in HK on Wednesday and only 20 fans appeared to recieve him. His attitude was very cold with his face of mostach. Compared to the warm fans who recieve Zaizai and Vanness, they came out of immigration the night before at around 8.45pm. They generously waved and greeted fans, very warmth attitude!

When Zaizai and Vanness stepped out of the immigrations, fans went out of control. These faithful fans tried to break the human barrier by the 10 securities to take pictures and give their presents, causing the chaotic situation. Facing fans who have lost control, both of them were so scared that they placed their hands on shoulders with their assistant, placed their heads down and squeezed out of the airport. However, they still didn't forget to turn around to face up at their fans. Many fans fell when they forgot about the walking in order to see their idol, luckily, nothing happened.

Jerry, who was rushing fliming for The Hospital took out time and flew to Hk at 1130. Wearing a whole full black outfit, Jerry appears in high spirits and kept showing his full smile and greeted more than a hundred fans. In between, he even stopped to recieve a present from his fan. Although there were 15 securities, looking at the appearence of their idol, these fans rush to break the human barrier. Jerry who was in a good mood kept showing the big smile and under the escort of the securities, he left in the car.

The distance of the release of the first fanclub magazine to the now, 2nd release of the fanclub magazine, it feels to be only a few days away from one another. Doesn't Give in when Fans Side Idol, Zaizai & Jerry's flower baskets create quarrels

F4, who have not appeared in HK for a long time, had fans who wanted to add to their big start. The night before, they sent more than 10 flower baskets to the scene of the event. Among, Jerry Yan's fans were the warmest, sending a total of 18 flower baskets congratulating him. Zaizai also had 10 flower baskets of his own. As fans did not inform the crew of this before, it created a small commotion. In between, fans fought for the placement of their flower baskets. Luckily, it ended in harmony.

We cannot say anything of fans supporting their idol but they have to take note of their action and words. The night before at the F4 press conference, after a small thingy happened. It was said it happened because many fans sent flower baskets to congratulate their idol. A batch of Jerrys' first arrived and the rest arrived abit later. A female fan who named herself as a Jerry Yan fan blocked the door of the place. Her attitude wasnt good and started to "speeching" to the crew there, saying that she didn't want other flower baskets to be blocking Jerrys' ones. After they debated for awhile, the crew could not help but say, "Why are all these fans so evil!"

As the place is a bit small, it is bound to be blocking the flower baskets. As Jerry's flower baskets were the most, it will definitely be seen. As fans who support your idol, they should be polite to the crew there. People are only there for work, people who create trouble will only shame your idol. If this gets to your idol's ears, they won't be happy too.

After "Chimgum's vow", PEH has plans to try entering the Chinese entertainment circle. Since March of last year, quite a few offers came this direction; among those I picked "Silence", which was scheduled to begin in June.

Part of the reason PEH picked "Silence" was that it was produced by the popular Taiwanese drama "Meteor Garden", which became famous here in Korea from its cable broadcast. But, the main reason why she selected this project was because the main cast was F4's Vic Chou.

The drama is planned for broadcast in different Asian countries, and PEH is very much looking forward to this.

"Beside Vic and I, Andy Hui of Hong Kong will also be the main cast. This is a story about the tragic love between 3 persons. Silence is planned for TV broadcast in Taiwan, Hong Kong, PRC, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, etc."

PEH's experience with the mass media of HK and Taiwan was pretty bad. "In this region, paparazzi is everywhere so I have to watch out for what I wear - if I wore something that is *just* a little bit low cut, there would be a camera hanging from somewhere on the top (grin). Or, paparazzi would try to take pictures when I was getting off a car."

And there were reports on PEH trying to get close to Vic Chou, and even a report on comparison between Vic's girlfriend and PEH. At the press conference for the drama, PEH revealed frankly to the media that "she liked the way how the shooting was done, etc.; but when she saw this kind of reports she felt that Taiwan is after all a strange place to her."

Her casting counterpart, Vic, once said, "Soon there will be paparazzi in Korea too." But PEH countered by saying that "Korea has a strong sense of personality. It will not tolerate paparazzi."

As indicated in her previous message left in her HP, PEH and Vic joked a lot - that was how they broke the ice. PEH also mentioned in her HP that Zai was "interesting and kind" and that he could "make her laugh so she really appreciated that."

F4, from March 22 holds the concert in Hongkong. Some days ago, 4 persons arrived in Hongkong, one after another by the plane. Vic Zhou and Vanness Wu arrived HK night before the said event. Because of too crowded, Vic greatly held Vanness's shoulders for fear to become separated, placing the hand on the shoulder, seemed like a criminal who is arrested.

When Vanness & Vic came out of the airport gate, already several members lined up into 2 lines waiting for them, but alongside around was protected and well-secured.

More and more fans, even old aged- fans glanced at Vanness and Vic, shouted with high voices, the actual place had considerably been very choatic. F4 Vic Chou: The Day Magic Was Born

2005 Dec 13th Report of PEPSI Vic Party at Guangzhou

19:48 – School bell rang, signaling time to start the class. The announcer lifted the curtains with: “Dare for more! Today is the Open Day for Pepsi Magic School! Let’s welcome our instructor this evening, Professor Chou, with ‘Good evening sir!’” Immediately, the audience zone was overwhelmed with loud “good evening sir”…at the same time Vic emerged in a cloud of smoke. The way he appeared on stage (riding an electric scooter) was extremely cute. With a stylus (a mini-version of a magic wand maybe?) in his hand, Vic role-played as a professor and looped from right side of the stage to the left side while greeting his fans. Vic used different languages to say hello to his fans who gathered in Guangzhou from around Asia.

19:54 – “Today I’ll teach you many different magical tricks!” Vic proclaimed to the audience as he got off the scooter. But then the MC poked fun at him by saying, “But after all, the professor prefers magic that’s not too difficult right?” So what kind of sorcery = magic tricks would Vic show us? After taking a deep breath, Vic tied the ends of two handkerchiefs. “Watch carefully, ok? This one I’m showing is simple. Ah, don’t worry, pigeons won’t fly out”, said Vic, as he pulled the tied handkerchiefs on the other ends, a third blue handkerchief appeared from where the knot was. The crowd responded with a round of loud applause. “Huh? You want to see more?” as Vic took a silver bag out: “In this bag….hmm, of course, no pigeons.J” joked again Vic. He slapped the bag gently and then flipped it inside-out and said, “See? There’s nothing inside - I told you! So now I’m gonna put the blue handkerchief in this bag.” Then he swung the bag powerfully toward the floor and then the silver bag turned into a blue flag! And, in the middle of this flag, of course is the Pepsi logo (LOL).

20:05 – Time for a game with audience. This turned out to be a “test” by Professor Chou. Four selected audience had to read “magic school principles” in four different tones and expressions: sadness, rap talk, kindness, and fright. Professor Chou revealed the script as he demonstrated to his students in two tones: sadness and fright. The winner of this game was a male participant who read the script in “fright”. The “judge” was the audience – they gave out huge round of applause after each participant’s turn.

20:16 - After the game, Vic received a huge bouquet from his fans (gk: I think this is from vicpower right?) “Thanks very much. But, by any chance, did it look like I was longing for this?” Vic showed his appreciation in his usual light humorous way.

20:20 – Test #2 – “Pepsi Magic: Frozen in Time” as Vic declared this test #2, participants about the same height had to play “limbo” – and they had to hold a Pepsi cola can with only their face and right shoulder!

20:28 – Tongue twister war! – “There are different classes offered in the magic school but particular magic is difficult and challenging so only the advanced class gets to learn the trick (grin). Would everybody like to try?” Accordingly, Vic led all the “students” to write this super long tongue twister in Chinese (gk: which I’m not even gonna try to translate J)

20:32 – Magic time during the change of stage – A lid was first placed on an empty pot; when the lid was lifted again, what was found inside……………..was of course, Pepsi cola. “I really need this now…I’m pretty thirsty” by Vic.

20:31 – Test #3 – A wooden frame about 2 square-meter in size was brought onto the stage and served as a pseudo-mirror. Participants had to stand in front of this “mirror with no reflection” and imitate the various gestures posted by Vic who stood on the other side of the “mirror”. Whoever got to follow Vic’s movements the closest was the winner.

20:50 – Time for another round of magic tricks. Vic placed 5-6 yellow faux bouquets into a big and then opened the bag again: out came this diamond (?) shaped paper craft work (“flower paper”). Vic was so smooth when he played this trick and won non-stopping cheers from the audience. “You want to see me play more magic tricks? Then clap on and don’t stop! (chuckle)” Vic then showed off another magic trick – he held a bouquet by where the stems were and covered the end with his right hand. When he removed his right hand, a red flower popped out from the end of the bouquet. I unintentionally described this trick with more details, but that’s because this was a wonderful magic performance. Almost an hour went by at this point; maybe he has fully warmed up by then, Vic said, “Wasn’t this the best trick thus far?” as he was clearly pleased with the audience’ reactions.

20:53- Tons of Pepsi can sodas (close to 100 perhaps?) were moved onto the stage. Turning his back against the audience, Vic then threw these soda cans toward participants who were competing to catch the most, using a piece of cloth they held as the “catching basket”. This was Test #4. The winner caught about 28 cans of sodas, and would join the other 3 winners from the previous tests for a grand quiz.

21:01 – Vic of course was the one who gave the questions. Questions ranged from “the name of his role in Meteor (http://www.tsinoy.com/forum/newreply.php?do=newreply&noquote=1&p=365934#) Garden”, to “A robber entered a home but ignored all the cash and instead grabbed some Pepsi only; why?” (by the way the answer is that “it was the robber’s own place”. The winner got to take Polaroid pictures with Vic on stage.

21:15 – It is finally close to the end of the event. The grand finale was for Vic to pick a special message from a board (called “Pepsi Magic School Memorial Booklet”) posted with all the private messages written by the audiences to Vic. Among those, Vic picked a note that reads, “Please always be upbeat/lightheaded, and remain as the happy Zai Zai at all times.” To commemorate his selection, Vic gave the girl who wrote the note a broom (magical, of course) with a ball (symbolizing the Pepsi logo) attached on the end of the broomstick as a present. “Don’t use this for sweeping ok? You got to save this broom for magic tricks. (chuckle)” as Vic smiled gently while talking to the lucky girl. Moments later, Vic told the audience: “These days I’ve been traveling overseas so often that I forgot how to write some Chinese words (grin)….tell me if I am wrong.” Joking a little bashfully, Vic wrote his own special messages - “the magic school open day is wrapped up successfully” and “wish everybody stay healthy and safe” on the huge board full of good wishes from his fans. Again there was a bouquet presented to him. Holding the bouquet in one hand, Vic took a deep breadth and then said the following to the audience: “I didn’t expect that so many people would show up today; I’m really happy to see you. Please continue to show your support. I will strive harder and harder…...today was the first time I became a teacher and it was a lot of fun. Please….practise your magic skills often! (grin)”

21:30 – A brief press conference took place right after the event. The subject of F4 and his plans for year 06 were brought up. Questions such as “Have you heard of a possible release of an album in 06?” or “Is it true that a concert is in the making?” certainly came up. Vic responded, “There are plans for us to work together in the name of F4, including possibly releasing a new album.” And “We have been talking about a concert since 2004. Not only concerts, we also spoke of other possibilities to work together.” From his response, we can sense that F4 is about to do something in 2006. This big news is again one of the magical effects created by Vic….at any rate, eyes on F4 in 2006!
