The weather in TaiPei has been grey and rainy recently, causing everyone to stay home and not go out. Yesterday, Taiwan's "Beauty Queen" DaS was at an SKII event held at SOGO. Dressed in a red black cute skirt, DaS said: "Girls need to be "white" to be beautiful." The fans below the stage screamed: "White Light!" DaS laughed and replied: "Yes, i like people calling me that."

DaS would always mention that she loves to use facial masks, because it's good for her skin. When asked if she would make ZaiZai uses facial masks as well, DaS sweetly smiled: "Yes, we would sit down together and do it, i think couples having a facial together is very romantic." Because DaS has to go out of the country for work, does she wish ZaiZai could accompany her? DaS said: "If that can happen, it would be great."

On the topic of XiaoS, DaS said as a sister and aunt, she is more excited and nervous then XiaoS herself for the coming of a ner baby. DaS said that she has spent a sum of money on baby products already.

Da S picks Wedding Gown, Da Zai host Marriage

Xiao S have given birth, Da S and Zaizai's relationship (http://www.tsinoy.com/forum/newreply.php#) would be blooming too. According to a reliable source, Da S have secretly started preparing for her marriage. Her wedding gown company would be the same of Xiao S and only want Wei Li Ya. Yesterday, Xu Mama change her attitude from the past when hearing about Da S's marriage plans rumours. She laughed and said she'll take care of the smaller one (Xiao S) first than decide about the big one (Da S)!

News source pointed out that, Da S have already come to terms with Wei Li Ya company and expressed that she wants to pick the wedding gown herself. Previously, Wei Li Ya have helped Xiao S to manage her wedding and they were happy working together. Wei Li Ya even specially flew in a expensive wedding (http://www.tsinoy.com/forum/newreply.php#) gown material for Xiao S from Italy and specially made her a $70,0000 gown. Da S, who would not think twice when buying branded stuffs normally, will definitely can't lose to the sister and decide to hold it similar to Xiao S.

Da S is very secretive in preparing for her marriage. All people are asked to sew their mouths. Yesterday, Wei Li Ya's PR was very tight-lipped and only revealed of the rumours she heard and have not seen Da S coming down to the company to try on gowns and emphasised that she would like to work with Da S.

Da Zai Lian admitted to being together after the stepping on 2 boats issue. From November last year, there was news of Da S being pregnant. The most interesting thing was. In his new drama “Silence ~ Shen Qing Mi Ma”, ‘ZaiZai’ Zhou Yu Min wore a black suit and white shirt, showing deep emotion yet emotionally and physically broken-down and crying his heart out in the car (http://www.tsinoy.com/forum/showthread.php?p=331348&posted=1#)…, this sneak peek can be watched online in the official website of Joy State(Hong Kong)Limited, and fans have already started a wave of discussion in all ZaiZai forums.

Since “Silence ~ Shen Qing Mi Ma” has finished filming at the end of last November up to now, the matter of which TV station in Taiwan it will be broadcasted hasn’t yet come to a decision. The 2-minute-and-16-seconder teaser trailer premiered in the Beijing TV festival last year was not the official trailer of Angie Cai’s “Comic Ritz”. Still, it appeased the fans’ appetite. In the drama, ZaiZai suffers from liver cancer, and because of that, he started to really understand the true meaning of life and love. This fine and subtle relationship revolves around four people - ZaiZai, Park Eun-Hye, Andy Hui, and Megan Lai.

i'd just reiterate what zashi said. let's not be too sensitive about the expressions of opinion here in zaiwan. One has every right to express what they feel about the issue. That's the beauty of free will, one has the right to like and dislike. That's also the beauty of a forum, there's a free exchange of ideas within the boundaries of the rules provided for. And it is just human nature that we may agree or disagree with the opinion of others. One must not be offended with an opinion given by another. F4 will soon launch their Hong Kong concerts. Recently the four handsome guys are becoming more active with one thing after another. It looks they are warming up in advance! x x x Zaizai's new drama 'Shen Qing Mi Ma' will soon to be on air. It's been hotly discussed on on-line forums.

But F4 will get together after the Chinese New Year to practice intensively for the concerts where fans will be able to feast their eyes on them.
Angie Chai, the mother of idol dramas, wrapped up directing 'Silence - Shen Qing Mi Ma' in November of last year. Currently the drama is in the post-production phases. As we understand, 'Silence - Shen Qing Mi Ma' won't be finalized until after the Chinese New Year because it's now around the holiday season and the movements of TV stations' executives are still not clear. But 'Silence' has already created buzz on Internet forums. Many fans are eagerly awaiting the drama to be aired as soon as possible. Its trailer has become the hottest e-mail for forwarding to friends.

Artists from China, Hong Kong and Korea - Zaizai, Andy Hui, Park Eun Hye, costar in the drama. Moreover, Da Zai Xian was exposed when the drama started shooting. People are eagerly anticipating Zaizai's performance in the drama.

I beg to differ. not necessarily. I remember when ZZ was with Wei Lun, I was not in favor of their relationship. That woman was bad for him. Just because I'm a fan of ZZ, I have to like who he likes? I have to love who he loves?Puhlease! And knowing how ZZ is in a relationship, I doubt if he cares what his fans think of his girlfriend. I'm sure back then, it has reached him how his fans disliked Wei Lun but I doubted if he lost sleep over it. He stuck with the woman for two years. He was soooooo in love with her. When ZZ falls is love, he hardly cares what others think.

Personally, I support ZZ and his work. Who he chooses to be in a relationship with is, after all, his private business.

i don't agree. i like zaizai but it doesn't follow that i would also like everything (or everyone) he likes. how pathetic if i were to act that way. it's like i don't have a mind of my own. anyway, i don't think it even matters how the fans feel about zaizai's romantic affairs. it's his personal life.

i have my own reasons for not liking barbie for zaizai and her age is definitely not one of them. so the barbie/zai & barbie fans and some zaizai fans don't agree on something. let's leave it at that. all i ask of the barbie/zai & barbie fans is to please just let us be. after all, i believe we're not doing anything that's against the forum rules. there's always the vic & barbie thread for those who love their tandem. zaiwan is a place for zaizai lovers :)

Da Zai Lian is still going on while Little Hsu is born. The champion of the second son-in-law of the Hsu family, Zaizai have finally gone to visit. Hsu mama said that Da S loved Little Hsu to the core. Zaizai Ai Wu Ji Wu[meaning he loves the things that his love one loves], and loves his future niece as well. That night, both of them were in high spirits. They were very polite when they saw reporters and even waved.

The night before, Zaizai drove his car to pick Da S up to visit Xiao S and also to visit Little Hsu. He was wearing a mouth mask when he left. Da S was unlike before, smiled and wave to the screen in a high profile way. Compared to the past few times when Da S was so angry and confronted the reporters when they were caught together. After being trained for so many times, their shots are getting more and more public.

Translation of Phoenix TV station's reporting on F4 Hong Kong Concerts

The news is about F4 who haven't appeared for a long time. They haven't been together for a long time; they each have their own career developments. I'd like to tell fans who like them that they will have a series of 3 concerts at Hong Kong Coliseum from March 22 to March 24.

Moreover, they have changed their name. Aren't they calling themselves F4 anymore? Actually it's still F4, but the F has changed from the previous "flower" to "forever." They hope that people will remember them forever. And they are the F4 lasting forever.

Nice facial features with a sweet smile on his face. From Hanazawa Rui in "Meteor Garden" to Kashino Rei in "Mars", the roles that Vic played indeed are like "the knight who only protects the heroine" in the dreams of many girls. Although he doesn't speak a lot, his shinning eyes and slightly sad facial expression are always seemingly trying to say something - how wonderful indeed. This perfectly beautiful boy image must have stolen anybody's heart. Yet, the real Vic is a mischievous boy, and exactly the "youngest child" in F4. His true character is in fact like the lovable Tairou in "Yamada Tairou no Monogatari" (Poor Prince) - cute and sometimes a bit off-base.

A "my pace" (Japanese slang - don't know if this is apparent in English - meaning living at his own pace) kind of guy, Vic's favorite things to do are sleeping and eating. Grew up in Yilan (a country side in Taiwan), Vic was discovered by the producer of "Meteor Garden" when he accompanied a friend to the drama audition. Although eventually convinced by the producer to debut, Vic was apparently not interested in the entertainment industry or becoming famous. He revealed that "since moving to Taipei, he was told for the first time (sadly many more times after that) that his pronunciation was strange." At first, Vic took lessons in order to improve his pronunciation; eventually however, his accent became part of his unique branding image and grew on his fans. This un-masked, undecorated nature of Vic is again part of his charm.

Vic had just finished shooting "Silence" - his new drama co-starring Hong Kong and Korean famous actors. He is getting recognized for his great acting skills. Following "Mars", which captured Golden Bell's Best Drama Series Award, Vic will certainly show us his progress and growth as an actor in his new drama.

Edward Au (Aokazu a.k.a "Qinghue" in "Meteor Garden") revealed during his Japan visit that Vic would look very upset if he got hungry, even during shooting. When that happened, the crew would rush to go get some food and feed him.

"I would be bothered if you don't take caution with my car when I give you a ride" (gk: this was not literally translated from the article but was what Vic actually said in "Kangxeille" since I saw the clip)

Vic revealed his love for cars in a TV talk show. If he offered a ride to a friend, and "if he/she slam the door close when he/she gets off the car, then I wouldn't want to give him/her a ride anymore next time." But, "if this were my girlfriend guess I won't get upset. After all, I think that my girl friend would be more important than my car."

"I pick Vanness!"

In a TV talk show, Vic was asked: "If you must kiss someone in F4 French-style (i.e. with tongue), who would you pick? " Vic responded: "I pick Vanness - he is strongest and buffest in F4; he'll break my neck if I don't comply!"

I fell for Vic after watching “Mars” and became his fan after getting to know about his personally from many articles and much help here. Thanks to vicpower I also learned to read simplified Chinese characters. It totally paid off because I was able to read a lot of good articles about him and below is an excerpt combining something Vic wrote (reportedly). Some of the stuff mentioned here is probably dated back 2002 but some as recent as in 2004 after the fire at his apartment. It is a very touching article so I decided to translate in English so that English-reading fans can enjoy it. In this translated article, I tried to retain as much of Zai’s touching writing as possible. Enjoy.

Zai Zai: Mom and Dad, I’ll definitely be home for New Year

Zai once said: “The saddest thing happened in my life thus far is when my parents got divorced. But, the persons whom I want to apologize to the most are also my parents.”

They broke up when I was 8 or 9. Eventually I moved to Taipei with my mom, while Dad stayed at Loudung and then he started a new family. But I never blamed him for anything. He lives very far from where I am; but I try my best to find time and go visit him in Loudung because I want to fulfill my obligations as his son.

I have never dreamed about getting famous or becoming a star, but it happened. I should have been happy about it, but I honestly didn’t want to affect my family in a bad way because of my fame. I remember that one time, there were some reporters kept knocking on the door at my Dad’s house and tried to take pictures. That scared my Dad to death and he was afraid to even leave the house. I really didn’t expect that I would end up hurting my family (inadvertently) because I became famous.

Dad lives so far away. Last year I only took two days off to head back to Loudung and spend New Year with him. When Dad saw me, he caringly asked me if I was healthy, and if I was happy. He told me, “Don’t force yourself too hard; our Chou family doesn’t need our child to be a star; but we want a happy and healthy child.”

At the phase in life when love is missing (gk: referring to dating), I would cherish even more the time I spend with my family. Before I can have to opportunity to say “I love you” to my wife, I can only say this to my family. The fire on April 28 made me realize even more so the importance of my family. At that time I was shooting an outdoor scene for “Mars”. I dashed back home when I found out about the accident. Monetary loss didn’t cross my mind at all, but I was very concerned with the safety of my family. Thank god there was no injury; it was luck among misfortune.

Perhaps most of us will never get to experience the sadness of being homeless. When I stood there on the streets looking up and saw the charred windows, I had a lot of mixed feelings. I was thinking: if I weren’t Vic Chou maybe I’d be broke (bankrupted) after this fire right? What would I be doing then? Wandering on the streets? Anyways, at that moment a lot of things went in my head – like frightening scenes of empty wilderness and bloody rivers. (gk: Chinese idioms…used usually to described the aftermath of war). Now, when I think back what was going on in my head at that moment, it’s almost like a joke (gk: referring to why he was thinking about that)…

Every person needs love from a family and the love/passion for his/her hometown. As for me, I need these things the most when I am at my weakest moment. Mom always tells me that she’s very proud to have me as her son. Sometimes tabloid magazines would make up stories about me and occasionally even involved her; yet she is not upset at all – she would even tell me rather joyfully that this (tabloids) was because I was popular. She would tell me that in her eyes Zai Zai was always the nicest and greatest child. When I heard this I would act cool and walked out.

There is always a place for classics in pop music culture. The same is true in life – even now I still love those fried chicken steaks sold by street vendors at Yilan. Those chicken steaks are so firm and coated with just the right amount of flour; there’re definitely better than those sold in the big cities.

F3 have all starred in movies; myself alone have not. But I don’t feel that I was missing anything…guess that is my personality – I just can’t get that sense of urgency.

I was once asked what I would pick between my career and my school work. I can say from the bottom of my heart that I had never thought of becoming an artist, let alone the dream lover or prince of anybody (many of my fans called me these in their letters). In fact, everything that happened since my debut has been like a dream to me, all so seemingly un-real. To be honest, in these days I have been so busy with work and with schoolwork that I could hardly breathe….I’m really, really very tired; very tired! I love to go to school. When I got admitted back in college last year and was able to continue studying, I was so happy because I finally got to fulfill my wish. I had always wanted to learn more and add more value to myself, so that I am more equipped to compete in the society. Therefore, further education has been my dream for a long time. Originally I thought I would be a normal student going to school everyday and enjoying my life. But I was discovered when I accompanied a friend to an audition. Then all-of-a-sudden I turned into a rookie artist from an ordinary student. It was really difficult for me to adjust to this huge change. Of course, being a student and an artist I have to live a life of sleep deprivation everyday; this is particularly harsh to an extreme sleepyhead like me. This duo identity completely destroyed my dream leisure school life. Still, I swore to myself that I would never give up on school because of work. When F4 became very famous, our agent fully booked our schedule everyday. I was so busy with shooting drama, recording albums, and school that I couldn’t even tell if it was night or day. I was either in the studio or in school, completely gave up my life. At the same time, the company had a series of plans for my future career; so I was always so busy! Even so, I never forgot that I was a student. After over six months of studying, I told the company that I wished they could help scheduling my work based on priority of school so that I could manage attending classes and doing homework. Fortunately the company was very understanding and respected my decision. But they also warned me to prepare physically because it would be extremely difficult to be a full time student and artist. But to realize my dream, no matter how hard it was, I tried to hang in there. After I said I would doze them in class, my agent arranged my schedule in a way so that I could wrap up all my work by 5:30pm so that I had enough time to get to school. But I am too busy at work and too tired; so sometimes I still couldn’t hold up my eyelids during class. Actually I really tried not to doze up in class but I sometimes couldn’t help it. If I fell asleep I would tried even harder next time to stay awake…cuz it really is too embarrassing! Although my teachers are very understanding and told me to take care of my health and not worry about it, I am still pretty ashamed of myself for such embarrassing actions. Whether it is missing classes or only some sessions, sometimes newspapers would print out my schedule a week ahead. This kind of open “absence request” undoubtedly would make teachers uncomfortable. Since I am already a college student, my teachers did not give me too much of a hard time, even though I was missing classes so blatantly. But I feel very uncomfortable myself. Like this time to Hong Kong, at first I was planning to fly out Saturday; but because of the job and that I couldn’t make the other F4 members wait for me alone, I ended up missing class again and went on Friday. When I sat in the classroom on Tuesday I couldn’t help from feeling guilty. Yet my teacher did not even say anything. It truly is very hard to study and work at the same time. Before becoming an artist, I had to get 12 hour sleep everyday; not I get about 3-4 hours everyday. No wonder people told me that sometimes my eyes are half-open when they take my pictures, which is so different from what I used to be – eyes wide-open. Indeed, sometimes people are not free to do what they really want to do with their lives.
