i looked at the articles to those links. The news still the same...marriage rumors.

zaifreak and zashi, lol, one of the links is the one i translated. nyahahahahahaha! still on the October 6 thingy.

the only additional info that I read was that, according to ZZ's manager, after filiming Silence, ZZ will focus on filming a movie and an album which will be scheduled for next year. The manager opined that he doubts ZZ will have time for wedding plans, considering that he still has military duties to attend to. The manager was also asked on how DaS and ZZ will celebrate her birthday. the Manager replied he does not know of any plans since he has not received the schedule of the filming of Silence. ZZ's manager speculated that ZZ might be filming that day (lol, bummer :D ). As for what gift ZZ will give DaS, the manager has no idea and commented further that ZZ is a not that kind of "plan person".

Hmmmmm, so laiou2002 is right. It's military duties first before marrying. :D

Da S, who once said that she “doesn’t rule out a lightning marriage”, will announce her and ZaiZai Zhou Yu Min’s wedding banns on her 29th birthday on October 6? China’s Sina Online reported on this, with the source of this exposé from “Da S’s close friend”. Da S did not respond. Hsu Mama thinks otherwise: “If there are any wedding banns, shouldn’t I be the one to announce it?” ZaiZai’s manager Zhi Xiang Li said “Haven’t heard of it”, assistant Ah-Juan said: “He hasn’t done his military service yet!”

ZZ goes to Keelung to film. He, who loves to fool around, would often do different expressions and motions, looking like he's trying to act like an idiot.

Today is Da S' birthday and it's also her first birthday after Da Zai Lian was made public. For the entire day yesterday he was at Keelung Naval Hospital filming. He was in a really good mood and "played idiot" while filming. He took advantage of free time and did "ah gan"'s expression to the drama crew.

Rumors say that Da S was jealous when ZZ and Korean actress Park Eun-hye cooperated in "Silence - Shen Qing Mi Ma" and there were reports saying the female lead was interested in the male lead. Furthermore, the scene being filmed at Keelung Naval Hospital was rather solemn, only seeing ZZ being all serious for a while and then at other times he take the chance to crack some jokes. Later ZZ tried hard to do a "ah gan" expression for the cameraman. Getting more hyper as he played around, he simply dancing with joy, hitting the "peak of silliness." He almost drove the drama crew crazy. Everyone wanted to laugh but found it embarrassing to do so. Never thought that ZZ also had the talent for comedy.

Although female lead Park Eun-hye was also at the scene filming yesterday but because she didn't really have any scenes with ZZ, the two didn't interact much, also not knowing that outside rumors are spreading that "Park Eun-hye is trying electrifying ZZ."

During lunch break Park Eun-hye ate her lunch box outside like everyone else. Only ZZ and his assistant went to the hospital's cafeteria to eat. When there was free time ZZ would play around with the staff members, otherwise he would disappear into the car and catch up on some sleep.

Today is Da S' birthday, the two are very sweet
Perhaps it's because Da Zai Lian was exposed after a car accident, everyone knows that ZZ's heart belongs to someone. Plus, today is Da S' birthday, the two are very sweet. It's not that easy for a "3rd party" to get between them.

Some useful tips when voting

(I don't know if this'll work for everyone, but these worked for me)
1. Taiwan phone numbers start with 9 and then eight more digits (any). eg. 921624851 or 984621746

2. In the address box, I've had several successful tries typing in "Taipei Taiwan". Answering with only "Taipei" doesn't seem to work.

3. For the verification code, please make sure that you do not confuse the number "0" with the letter "O".

4. When generating ID card numbers, you can try generating ID numbers from other cities other than Taipei. (there's a drop down menu if you click the small arrow)

5. Some people failed using Yahoo email addresses. If this happens, use other emails like Hotmail or MSN or Gmail.

Yesterday was Da S' birthday. Although she ordered everyone not to give her gifts or celebrate but last night the Hsu family's had guests one after another. Hei Ren purposely brought a cake to the house, almost causing Da S to flip out. Among these visiters, Zai Zai Vic Chou and a man who dropped in together was the climax. Although it was already late at night, but the two's love development is more beautiful later at night.

It was Da S' birthday. ZZ is currently filming "Silence - Shen Qing Mi Ma" and for the past 2 days he's been filming until about midnight. Last night he still brought a friend to the Hsu's house to visit Da S late at night. His manager Zhi Xiang Li expressed that ZZ's last scene yesterday was around 8pm. He's not sure where he went afterwards. Hsu Mama said, "Haha, I was at my friend's house playing Majong last night, I don't know who she brought to the house. But everyday our house would have a lot of little kids, Fan Fan, Hei Ren, they all love to come, safe and convenient."

Even though Da S doesn't like celebrating her birthday, but earlier ZZ gave her a "lovers necklace." So did he give her a brithday present to express his feelings? Hsu Mama said that she doesn't know if Da S received gifts because she doesn't like to have her age exposed so she doesn't really like to celebrate her birthday. Usually the family disregards her birthday.

Last night Hei Ren still brought a small cake to celebrate. Xiao S said, "She gave a severe warning to everyone beforehand to not mention 'Happy Birthday.' And then Hei Ren gets a cake, making everyone feel awkward. Of course no one dared to say anything, everyone could only eat the cake silently."

After a night of "silent birthday celebration," yesterday night Da S still wore the "lover's necklace" ZZ gave her and arrived on time for GTV's "Yu Le Bai Fen Bai" recording. Xiao Zhu, who didn't fear death, bought a cake as a surprise like Hei Ren. At the beginning Da S cried for him not to mess around. But facing Xiao Zhu's emphasis that it's a vegetarian cake, she managed to say "Thank You." From what I gather, a friend accompanied him to DaS' place. ZZ and his friend arrived on the 5th October, nearing 12 midnight. Reporters accosted him, asking how they would celebrater DaS' birthday, but ZZ merely smiled. There are still other details but it's best that we wait for the translations.

Yesterday was Hsu Xi Yuan’s (Da S) 29th birthday. It is also her first birthday since she started going out with Zhou Yu Min (ZaiZai). Da S's Birthday, Zaizai high profiled wishes

Earlier on, China's Sina reported that Da S would get married with Zaizai on her 29th birthday. The night before, Zaizai went to Da S's house to help her celebrate. However, it was only celebrations and no marriage. However, Xu mama still asks Da S worriedly, "Baobei, you are not getting married right?" Her younger sister, Xiao S supports Da Zai Lian, but mentioned, He's still far off if Zaizai wants to be her brother-in-law.

The night before at around 11pm, Heiren, Fan Xiaoxuan, Makiyo went to Hse house one after another, hoping to wish Da S happy birthday at midnight. Of course, good friends being at the scene, the boyfriend must appear as well. Nearing to the birthday timing, Zaizai appeared in a AudiA6. According to what is known, this is a second hand car. Previously, he crash his own AudiA4. Now, he has changed it to a A6. Although it is not totally new, he has modified it, it cost up to around $400,0000.

Zaizai's character may seem honest, but his love relationship is very high profiled. Previously, the Lun Zai Lian was exposed because of his high profiled ways. When he saw reporters waiting below Hsu's house, he doesn't hide, full of smell that he wants to announce. Da S spends a low profiled birthday, and didn't allow anyone to buy her birthday cakes. Heiren was busybody, brought a cake and was scolded by her.

According to what is known, Da S told everyone not to get her gifts and spend her birthday in a low profile mode was because her relationship incident was being blown up. Although it was a little cold at the celebration, and with cakes, but the candle wasn't lighted, not even a birthday song.

Many people are suspicious that she would be getting married with Zaizai on her birthday, Xu mama couldn't control any longer and asked her and she told Xiao S, "Why not the media just tell me, the time and venue she would be getting married at, I''ll be recording Yu Le Bai Fen Bai today, or i might be late for it."

Yesterday, Xiao S said more to show her support for Da Zai Lian, "My mom and i likes him alot. When Da S was fliming Meteor Garden, i was already admiring him." As to whether he is the choice of a brother-in-law ? She said, "This is such a far away thing, whoever is the brother-in-law isn't important. Most important thing is she likes the other party, he can make her happy and can love one another, as long as they are not unhappy for every single thing. That would do."

Some useful tips when voting

(I don't know if this'll work for everyone, but these worked for me)
1. Taiwan phone numbers start with 9 and then eight more digits (any). eg. 921624851 or 984621746

2. In the address box, I've had several successful tries typing in "Taipei Taiwan". Answering with only "Taipei" doesn't seem to work.

3. For the verification code, please make sure that you do not confuse the number "0" with the letter "O".

4. When generating ID card numbers, you can try generating ID numbers from other cities other than Taipei. (there's a drop down menu if you click the small arrow)

5. Some people failed using Yahoo email addresses. If this happens, use other emails like Hotmail or MSN or Gmail.

There are loopholes. Of course there are. The voting should be limited for Taiwan audiences only. The problem is the poll itself. All the other dramas are open to similar loopholes, not just Mars. It still IS a level playing field. But if they were going to make some modifications to correct these loopholes they should've shut down the whole poll, not just for Mars.

Taiwan JMs have tried calling Apple Daily to inquire about this glitch. Taiwqan is on holiday vacation right now, work will resume on Tuesday. So hopefully voting will be back to normal by then. *prays*

Apple Daily made a report that said there's been some anomalies in voting because of the high number of votes of Mars, even implying that since this online poll is held by ETTV, Angie Chai might be involved, being the station director of ETTV Drama Channel.

But if they were going to make some modifications to correct these loopholes they should've shut down the whole poll, not just for Mars

I agree with you. Mars has definitely gained many fans around the world.

But I can understand where Apple Daily's report is coming from. Most of us who vote are from overseas. Strictly speaking, this award should be for Taiwan residents only. There should've been no multiple voting allowed, that's why they ask for Taiwan ID card numbers. But like always, there are ways around such things.

The poll itself was well-intended, but it was ill-devised and had many loopholes. I understand that it's very difficult to prevent things like this happening in an online poll. I only ask that if they're going to shut down voting for Mars then they should shut the whole voting down. Then again that may be just a glitch. We shall know on Tuesday. Mars still has a very safe lead over the others...so let's just treat this as a vacation for our overworked index fingers. :D

For the meantime, we're dealing with the media here, so everyone is remaining calm, lest we give people (particularly the media and through them the judges) a bad impression that might reflect on ZaiZai and endanger his chances. Taiwan JMs will continue voting the slower, but more reliable way, through clipping coupons from Da Cheng Bao and sending them by mail.

Zai Zai & Da S have been dating for a month

Da S finally admits she & ZZ are dating, and the recent car accident was taken as a blessing as they finally got the chance to publicize their love. When accepting interviews from TW media, Da S couldn’t help hiding her happiness, finally admitting that they have been dating for a month. On Da S’ hand was seen a black string bracelet (safety bracelet), identical to those worn by ZZ. Da S even said sweetly “I’m in love.” As known, Da S is 5 yrs older than ZZ, making another bro-sis relationship in the entertainment world. She reconciled the first time when she first met ZZ in MG 1, she immediately took him as a little brother. Even though often laughing at ZZ’s antics, she still defines him as “sweet & handsome”. They had their own lover at that time, but in the end they both broke up with them almost at the same time. When they reunited in MARS last year, their closeness developed further. “ZZ used to frown if he was in a bad mood, a bit childish. Last year when we shot MARS, he was more understanding & mature. “When shooting we focused deep in our own characters, but we were too close so it was awkward doing those scenes. To try not to NG, we didn’t communicate beforehand and stabilized emotions first; therefore we made it in a single shot.”

After lots of “heart to heart” with ZZ, they eventually fell in love. She hopes their relationship will stay, as they had been close from the start.

Is it true both of you recently bought a ring for your birthday?

“No way! He was accompanying me buying a present for my sister. Since little, I didn’t really like celebrating parties; the important thing is the opposite person’s sincerity.”

You guys had an accident, was your mom’s reaction negative?

“No, my mom was playing cards in grandma’s house, she didn’t say anything. I had dinner that night at grandma’s place anyway.” Da S stated.

When confirmed about tying the knot, Da S’ mom said “About this matter, of course I’ll announce it firsthand.” ZZ’s manager Zhi Xiang Li also stated “I don’t know, ZZ hadn’t even gone to military service, how is he getting married?”

It says that some changes in the format will be made and the Drama category will be subcategorized (?) into two. Therefore the judges will have to deliberate anew.

hope the judges will reconsider. Even though the drama categories will not be subcategorized, Zai Zai should have been nominated. Judges should not be biased just because he's an F4 :( that's so unfair :mad:

I haven't watched the other dramas nominated, so I can't say if they're good or not.

All I know is that ZaiZai was really very good in Mars. He acted his heart out and took on this multi-layered character with such dedication and passion and made it his own. No one watching the behind-the-scenes clip of him standing at the narrow ledge on top of a tall building from morning until night with only minimal safety measures could ever doubt that. He looked deep into the character and grasped its very soul. Not many actors can do that. Now, I can't imagine any other actor playing Ling. And certainly not with such maturity and depth and understanding.

It's really sad that ZaiZai wasn't nominated. But hearing these words of outrage from director Cai and his wife on behalf of ZaiZai recognizing his talent and achievement is a great soothing balm during these times.

Cai Yue Xun doesn't do that for every actor that comes under his direction. But he said these words with conviction. Because he believes in ZaiZai. And he is proud of him.

Just as we are.

I still don't quite understand how it works. It says that the head of the news bureau made this decision (is the news bureau a department of the government?) to encourage producers to make more dramas. They are still deliberating whether to subcategorize the Drama category into two or not. They say that there will only be two possibilities from this deliberation:

1) maintain the present format and the list of nominees

2) subcategorize it into two, thereby increasing the number of nominees from the previous 5 to 10 (5 for each subcategory) Those who were already nominated are still nominated.

like everyone here, I am outraged why the committee responsible for the nominations did not consider Zai Zai, DaS, Director Cai and Mars in their respective categories. Like all the zaichos, I feel very passionate about Mars, too passionate for my own good. I consider it the Best Asian Drama that I have ever watched, and I have watched a number of them. That's why I was very astonished, shocked :eek: actually, when this drama was not nominated. Well just like grendel, I haven't seen the other nominees, but I do feel that had this been a Filipino drama, I'm sure it would have been nominated. If the speculations are true, that the committee were influenced by other factors instead of the merit of their performances , then I feel sorry for them. They failed to see quality and sheer beauty even if they hit them right smack on their faces.

Zashi, thanks for posting that article. And you're right grendel, it is indeed comforting that Director Cai has high praises for ZZ's performance in Mars. Reading this article, I suddenly remembered that scene from Mars, you know the part where ZZ as Ling was approaching Sheng, with this mischievous look and a slight grin, he told Sheng about his relationship with Shazhi and then ZZ as Sheng would turn to Ling in his serious face to say, "Why do you lie to me?" . That scene blew me off! The depth of the acting is remarkable and natural. ZZ became Ling and Sheng, he captured the essence of these two characters, particularly Ling. He captured Ling's passion, pain, happiness and inner turmoil. Just like what Grendel said, he captured the character's soul.

Yes I know people may say that I can't speak with conviction because I have not seen the other nominees. I don't need to. I stand by Mars (not because I'm a Zaicho)! Thus, the only conclusion I can draw from this serious and unforgiveable oversight of not nominating Zai Zai for Best Actor is that it's a big mistake. correction....
