Zaizai: I liked to draw, and I was relatively good at it. My brother also liked to draw. In particular I hated to lose. I would sneak a look at my brother's drawing out of the corner of my eyes. (He pretended looking out of the corner of his eyes.). For example, if my brother was drawing the house, I would draw the same thing. (Pretending he was drawing) If I saw him drawing trees, not to be defeated, I would draw trees. I would bring the drawing to my mother and said something like, "Isn't my drawing better?" Anyway, I was determined (Laugh).



Zai Zai forgot to say and that his sister too is a master in drawing. I bet the sister's the best! shewould not only draw a house and trees but will include a lake with sharks in them. :D

It runs in the family pala. :p

Z: (after correcting himself) Xu Xi Yuan Da S, welcome.

S: Hi, I'm a cosmetics pill!

S: In this drama she (Qi Luo) encounters many tragedies.When I was acting I would take these encounters and place them in my heart. So it was really painful while I was doing my homework for this role. I went to a domestic violence center in Taiwan that had girls who've had this kind of experience. I asked their counselors about their experiences. I felt horrible when I heard about it. My mind was filled with all those experiences because it was really painful to know about the things they had to go through and then there was nothing I can do to help. Afterwards I took those and put them in my heart, I took these pains, sufferings, and angers and put them all into my heart.

H: To imagine yourself as them.

S: Yes.

Z: I really admire her after seeing her performance. In one scene I had to test her to see if she really experienced domestic violence. I pressed her against the bed, on top of the bed, and she acted that scene so well that it scared me! Afterwards it was true acting, she really was scared, "No! No!"

H: She went crazy?

Z: Because she, that scene was when she suddenly recalls how she was abused by her stepfather. Then with the addition of my actions, it was like I was her stepfather, and screamd. I thought she was awesome, the few seconds of silence was acted really well. (To Da S) You were remembering right?

S: I forget

Z: There you have to pay attention to the expression in her eyes, really.

H: So you really got frightened?

Z: I really was frightened, yes. I thought it was acted really well.

Z: Before accepting this drama I didn't know how to ride those types of motorcycles. The only thing I was worried about in this drama was how I was going to drive, how I was going to ride it. And then how I was going to carry her, what was the best way to carry her. And then...yeah...haha (to the crew) Can you let me talk? (goes back to host) I had to try 2 times before passing.

H: The first time was because the weather wasn't good right?

Z: Yeah and I was too careless. And there were many others who were testing too. It seemed like I was the youngest one there, and I wanted to play handsome with those big friends right? So in the end...I crossed the line.

H: I think if two people are especially close, when acting this type of couple or intimate scenes, I think that its impossible to get into it. Did you guys run into this kind of problem?

S: Before, when I first filmed "Meteor Garden," I did.

Z: Yeah.

S: But not that I've grown up I'm not like that anymore.

Z: Who cares, you can't care so much. No, instead, because it's like this, because we're friends, so we would want to be even more professional about intimate scenes. We both hope that it's ok on our first try. I would often talk nonsense but they're just jokes.

Or he would think that he's not used to being a celebrity so would should he do and I'd comfort and encourage him.

H: And he slowly go better?

S: Yes, encourage him. So privately he'd think of me as his older sister and he's my little brother. Plus, his personality is a lot like my little sister's so I keep on thinking that he's a little child.

H: Xiao S python?

S: Yeah, they're very alike. Why don't you take off your mask.

Z: I'm actually Xu Xi Di (pretends to take off a mask)

S: I knew it!

Z: Sorry that I let older sis knew that I actually earn a lot of money, I act two roles...

Z: Right now Xu Xi Di is actually disguised by someone else.

After reading the Da Cheng Bao article, I already think Zaizai has agreed to star in it.

Regardless whether he indeed had the option of rejecting the role, but at least this time he agrees after reading the script. That's already an improvement.

As he himself said in the Asian Life interview, before Mars, he only cared about whom he worked with; the atmosphere on the set was even more important to him than the role he got.

All his talk of paying attention to scripts in recent interviews is indeed not just lip service. He is more serious about his profession now.

1/5 of the money has gone to the Korean actress. It sounds like, in addition to Taiwan, the TV series will be shot in China and Hong Kong. Location shooting always costs money.

Zaizai may be willing to do charity work for Angie, but not the rest of the crew and cast.

Good directors demand more money.
So far, nothing about the director has ever been mentioned and the shooting is soon to start.

Except for the two famous TV directors who directed Mars and "Come to My Place", Angie doesn't seem to have much respect for directors of her TV series.

Since no name has been mentioned, is it going to be like MG2 and Love Storm - directed by more than one unknown director?

I just hope there is only one director and the director is not from MG2 and Love Storm director groups.

My first visit in Zaiwan after the summer eb. It was nice meeting the Zaichos again. Had a great time hearing all your stories. I want to contribute anything for ZZ's birthday celebration but it so happened that I'm out of the country during his bday.

Tsinoy is still the only site I visit for ZZ updates. Thanks to all the Zaichos for being fast and responsible

zz and zashi then hop on a nearby bus which turn out to be a bus of hyperactive zaichos where all of them including zashi fawn over zz who sits back with a contented smile on his face much like Chen Ling's smile on the morning after the night he got lucky.

and zz remarks to himself: "This may be my lucky day."

But if I have to, it would be the kissing scenes with Kira, they are very beautiful. You must see them. In private life, the relationship between Barbie and I are older sister and younger brother. We always joke and make fun of each other. It was very embarrassing to act the kissing scenes. Barbie has a boy friend. Right before shooting a scene, we would root each other to finish the scene in one take. But as we saw the other person's face, the two of us would burst into laugher. Sometimes it took many NGs to finish a scene (Laugh).

I've never done this with any other actors be it local or foreign i.e. attend ebs, surf the net, etc. Our main man had that certain charisma that I've never seen in others.

Today is the birth of our Lord of the Shuai. We have to thank his mom for bringing a very wonderful man in this world. The man who is the main reason why we, zaichos, met and gathered and became friends. The main reason why we, different kinds of people with different profession, different likes gather and go gaga over this handsome, talented young man. I'm not being dramatic here though. I'm just being thankful that the main man of this thread is celebrating his special day and I just wish that he's enjoying every minute of it.

H: Da S says that privately it's actually ZZ who bullies you. We've actually heard of it before that he'd often bully you...

S: It's true because he's like my little sister. People think that I control my little sister and that I bully her but privately I spoil her. I've spoiled her ever since she was young and it's the same with ZZ. In the beginning I encouraged him, pardoned him. I really treated him like my little brother. Now he's bad, want to say, ok, I'm going to make you take the bad big sister role and then I'll turn in to the good little brother.

H: So often before you guys film...like often before you guys film he hits you...

S: He would

H: And then you have to start, the director says "action!"

S: That's exactly it! Whenever no one is looking he'd taken advantage of the time and come over and hit my head or knead my ears. And then when I get mad and want to fight back someone always just happens to see it and they'd think that privately Da S is very mean. It would just so happen that our eyes meet and then it's hard to defend my self, he's incredible!

Z: Every time we are filming, for example the scene is a romantic one, Xu Xi Yuan and I, I would have bie mai. And then we'll continuously say that the other isn't, keep on quarreling and quarreling until the director says, "Hey! This is a love scene, do you guys need to nourish your emotions?" Being like that how would you film later? It's very funny.

H: Do would you hit him back? For example, hitting him again before the next scene begins?

S: Yes. Often when during the countdown, 5, 4, 3, 2, we're still hitting and then enter the drama as quickly as possible.

Z: Yeah.

S: It's when it's more relaxed. When it's more solemn we wouldn't dare look at each other because we're afraid that if we do we'll start fighting again.

Z: Yeah.

S: But if the next scene is very important, a scene full of emotions, when we nourish our emotions we wouldn't provoke each other.

Z: Yeah.

H: Did you guys ever have a time when you were laughing so much that you couldn't film on?

S: There was one scene where he had to apologize to me in a sulky manner, "Don't be mad anymore." And he was really not into it because it seemed like he remember a feud and then he had to apologize to me in the drama and so he wasn't into it.

H: He kept on NGing?

S: Yeah, he kept on NGing...

H: The expressions in his eyes were all false?

S: He was obviously glaring at me but his mouth was acting and apologizing to me.

hallo ZAICHOS! last saturday was a blast! at least we were able to make the kids very happy. :) hi there freakZZ! oh! and thanks for accomodating last saturday, remember when i left my ticket at home? lol! so stupid of me. the most important thing, i left it pa. my bad! btw, thanks for the cd's as well. :) how was the after-party of the Zaichos? i am sure you all enjoyed. for the nth time, i'm sorry wasn't able to go (again and again, yeah i know, gasgas na yan...). it's hard coz no yaya on saturdays. it's her day-off so i think that it's bad timing if i go out on a saturday, unless my kids are like 5-6 years old already. i can just leave them with my hubby. (gosh! enough of explaining....it's always the case kasi e...lol!)

anyhoo, to the rest of the ZZ fans and ziztahs! had a great time last saturday! i think it's also nice to do some charity work just like that. it feels great that you get to help those kids and you get to make them happy in your own little way.

The fans of Vic Zhou would like ABS-CBN to know that they have a “tampo” (no exact English translation – can “hurt feelings” suffice?) against them.



Of all the F4 band members, Vic Zhou has the most organized fans in the Philippines. Mainly because of its fully integrated coordination with Vicpower.net the worldwide fan group of Zaizai (Vic’s nickname). Last Thursday Zaizai celebrated his 24th birthday and per his request, instead of presenting him with gifts he urged his fans to use the money to help children's charities instead. This is what Vicpower Philippines did last Saturday at the SOS Children’s Village at Ayala Alabang Village. Spearheaded by Mommy Cora Lim, more than than a hundred thirty kids of SOS were treated to a party in honor of their idol Zai Zai. More than two hundred Vicpower.net fans helped to make the party a success.



While the party is in progress, Zaizai’s fans were voicing out their disappointment over the airing of God Mars (Vic’s series) in the Philippines. GMA has long announced their acquisition of the series but to this date the network has yet to air God Mars while other countries finished its broadcast long ago. This is were the fans hurt feelings towards ABS surfaced. VCD copies of God MARS with English subtitles has already circulated for some time now and the fans know that the plot of John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo’s “Ikaw ang Lahat Sa Akin” was based on the the said series. The story is very similar right down to Vic and Barbie’s God Mars character where Bea plays a timid girl with unkempt hair and a dark past.

Vic Zhou's actual birthdate was June 9 but it was celebrated last June 11 and instead of the usual party celebration of the group, they organized an outreach project.

Beneficiaries were the children of SOS Children's Village located at Ayala Alabang.

The project's theme was 'Talents and Dreams'. Parlor games were made and also foods were served at the SOS Children's Village.

We also saw the children's own interpretative drawing of Vic Zhou's character. Of course, the one with the most creative drawing won and prizes were also sponsored by Vicpower.

Q 5.1: Please tell us something about Mars. Mars is about a youth whose heart has been badly hurt. You also acted the role of the younger brother. Facing the challenge of playing two roles, what kind of efforts did you make in order to act them?

Zaizai: It's the first time I feel like a professional in a drama. After reading the script, I thought the roles were difficult to act. To prepare for them, I met with the director twice. The director recommended a book to read, saying that after reading the book, I might understand the psychological aspect of Ling. After reading the book, we started shooting on locations. Playing the two roles wasn't that difficult, I just made some slight changes to the acting methods. What I had suffered more was Ling's fighting scenes. To shoot cool-looking fighting scenes, we toiled a lot for the best poses. A fighting master was called in. While we fought each other, poses were selected and shot. Fortunately, many satisfied poses were shot.

ZZ speaking his mind!~~ He sounds like he's absolutely on top of things...and completely understands what is asked of him as an actor. I'm impressed! ^_^

Q 5.2: Which scene in Mars do you recommend?

Zaizai: We all worked very hard for Mars, I wish you will watch it all. But if I have to, it would be the kissing scenes with Kira, they are very beautiful. You must see them. In private life, the relationship between Barbie and I are older sister and younger brother. We always joke and make fun of each other. It was very embarrassing to act the kissing scenes. Barbie has a boy friend. Right before shooting a scene, we would root each other to finish the scene in one take. But as we saw the other person's face, the two of us would burst into laugher. Sometimes it took many NGs to finish a scene (Laugh).

He definitely can use some good vocals (though his voice isnt annoying and mediocre....) and would need 2 come up with good showmanship to compete with REAL singers....

Q 6.2: Zaizai, when you see someone you like, which type are you - pursue as aggressively as Dao Ming Si or watch attentively like Lei?

Zaizai: um... In private life, I think I'm more like Dao Ming Si (Laugh), the type who chases at full speed (Laughing happily).

I never thought he'd think that. LMAO. Oh well, Lei is really too good to be true.
Really dreamy. That was a realistic answer. :D


Q 6.3: What kind of girls do you like?

Zaizai: I like gentle type of girl. But it wouldn¡¯t be good if she doesn't like to talk. It's best if she can play basketball with my male friends. After that, the most important thing is being dutiful to one's parents. It would be nice to be dutiful to my parents, but what's more important is to be dutiful to her own parents. The reason is that a person dutiful to his or her own parents can't be a bad person.

Q 6.4: What kind of kid were you in your childhood? You¡¯ve got a pretty face, were you famous in the neighborhood?

Zaizai: Not at all! I was completely different from now. I was rather messy when I was little.

Q 6.6: What were you good at?

Zaizai: I liked to draw, and I was relatively good at it. My brother also liked to draw. We often competed with each other. I particularly hated to lose. I would sneak a look at my brother's drawing out of the corner of my eyes. (He pretended looking out of the corner of his eyes.). For example, if my brother was drawing the house, I would draw the same thing. (Pretending he was drawing) If I saw him drawing trees, not to be defeated, I would draw trees. I would bring the drawing to my mother and said something like, "Isn't my drawing better?" Anyway, I was very determined (Laugh).

The very reason why I think ZZ has the longevity potential. He's got the looks and talent and is way too charming and aggressive (without being too pushy) to be overlooked.

When taking pictures before the interview, the photographer issued requests one after another, "Touch here.", "Look here.", "Sit here." Zaizai would move as were told, but he would say, "Taking so many pictures, enough to publish a photo album!” looking anxious to have the picture-taking session finished earlier. Photos of making funny faces and smiling mischievously were taken between serious-looking photos. But more than those poses, his merely gazing seriously into the camera showcased the beautiful face and sparkling eyes. Once again the thought came to mind that in spite of being such a simple young man, he is destined to become a star.

Ever since he started in the showbiz, he has been criticized for his pronunciation. During the interview, from time to time, he would turn around to confirm with the staff with questions like, "Do I now pronounce appropriately? Does it sound right?" (He still seemed to have made quite a few mistakes....)

Even he is such a big star now, he is still a little shy. At the beginning he greeted us with a smiling face, looking a little bashful. 2:30 pm ZaiZai came out at around 2:30, no shades

Wearing a brown/ khaki coloured suit jacket(?) and jeans.

He’s in a very good mood and accepted a lot of gifts from the fans!

We also successfully handed the report of the Philippine charity event to Ah-Guan! (YES!!! http://www.vicpower.net/asp/Skins/Default/emot/em02.gif)

He even clasped his hands together (like thanking the fans) before getting into the car!

Another update..

Today ZaiZai a blue short-sleeved shirt, nipped in at the waist, a yellow and blue (or black) wrist band on his left wrist, and a long, black elastic elbow protectors on his right elbow (much like what he's wearing in the new Pepsi photos).
ZaiZai smiled furtively when he was on the mechanical elevating stage, and forgot where he was supposed to come down at one point, talking with Jerry while they were walking. ZaiZai said hello to everybody in Cantonese.

In the commercial, F4 is called The Great Ice Blue Four(?). ZaiZai made a joke and said that they¡¯re The Great Blue Bird Four. In the commercial a lot of inductors(?) were attached to their bodies ( I think we have to wait for the commercial to see this. I can't imagine it. ) and they used wires to raise them up for the stunts. After they got the Pepsi they transformed into blue warriors with wings sprouting from them. This commercial used a lot of 3D effects. The story of the commercial is that they were going to save Loius Koo. Louis Koo was trapped in an iron cage, and the cage was also there onstage. Louis Koo said that the cage must be opened by others. Zai and Jerry both went in. ZaiZai went in like a little kid. But soon after that, Louis Koo asked them to come out again. ZaiZai didn't seem to want to come out that quickly.

The event is already finished. It was really a bit short. Asked how working with Louis Koo for the first time feels like, Zai said that Louis Koo is very good-looking, that he has watched many of Louis Koo’s movies and that he’s very happy to work with him. While he was speaking, Jerry whispered something to ZaiZai, Zai then said, “That’s what you say.” When Jerry’s tur came to answer the question he said ZaiZai said it all and he doesn’t know what else to say anymore. ZaiZai, standing on the side, said, “Oh, sorry…I said it all!”
The lead in the commercial is Louis Koo, but it was ZaiZai who was positioned in the center when the photographers were taking photos tonight, Louis Koo on his right, and Jerry on his left. They celebrated Zai’s birthday, with 2 birthday cakes. Zai was cutting the cake while letting the photographers take pictures, very mischievous and playful.

Jerry did smear ZaiZai’s face with cake, then wiped the cake off Zai’s neck and collar bone with tissue paper. Louis Koo was more simple doing that, the girls likened him wiping ZaiZai’s face to “wiping a table”. http://vicpower.net/asp/Skins/Default/emot/em01.gif They fed each other cake, and the second time Zai tried to feed Jerry the candle, not the cake.

Taiwan TV drama "Meteor Garden" is based on a big manga hit in the 90s, "Hana Yori Dango." From this drama came F4, the idol group that has made it big throughout the whole Asia. More and more the group looks also to take Japan by storm. Following publishing of their first photo album, the Japan-only "Can't lose you" CD was also released at then end of last month.

"After being scouted, I knew nothing at all while shooting Meteor Garden. It was all due to staff's support that I was able to make it. I didn't expect F4 would have received so much attention!" Vic, who put in a good performance acting the role of Hua Ze Lei in Meteor Garden, said humbly.

Vic, the youngest of them, discussed about the other three, "Jerry is the most reliable and is a big brother to depend on. LA-born Vanness thinks and acts like an American. Ken cooks delicious food and teaches me how to make dishes that I want to eat." Now they are all busy with their individual solo activities.

"I was shy when I was little, buy now I enjoy creating something with other people, I am happy when other people praise my acting skills, and I'm learning lessons by costarring with people of different personalities", said Vic, who is experiencing the best part of being an actor.

"But in the future, it would be nice to live a relaxing life, something like growing flowers in a farm village. I'd like to get married by thirty. I'm the youngest son, my grandparents passed away when I was really young. So, I want to have grand children while I'm still young. I think family is the most important thing in life. I also want to be a friend of my future wife."

[2005/06/16 ] Yan Cheng Xu, Zhou Yu Min, Gu Tian Le transforms into blue birdmen

Following the Jordan trip of the 9 stars of Pepsi to film a commercial, Pepsi’s newest breakthrough of 2005 is awaited with much anticipation. The first volley of the 2005 Pepsi Blue Storm gathers 5 of Taiwan and Hong Kong’s hunks, Louis Koo and F4, to film the all-new Pepsi commercial. On June 15, Gu Tian Le, Yan Cheng Xu and Zhou Yu Min gathered together in Hong Kong to attend the 615 Pepsi Blue Storm Overture presscon. Over 200 reporters from mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, and the rest of Asia were present. To thank those fans who have always supported Pepsi, Pepsi specially invited 600 fans to the presscon to share with them this unusual all-new commercial. During the presscon, Gu Tian Le and Yan Cheng Xu even celebrated Zhou Yu Min’s birthday, creating a very moving scene.

The stage of the Overture presscon was larger in scale than the one of the Pepsi 9 stars last year, just the cost of the production alone reached a 7-digit amount. Both sides of the stage were costumes and major props from Louis Koo and F4’s commercials. Among them is a large metal bird cage that due to its complexity to assemble, took Pepsi 5 days to re-assemble in a place specially-leased for that and then transport it to the venue of the presscon. In a very mysterious entrance, Gu Tian Le, Yan Cheng Xu and Zhou Yu Min appeared onstage with a brand new look. After they appeared atop the mechanical elevated stage, the metal wings behind them opened spontaneously. It’s because in the commercial they are not common or human at all, but are members of the clan of blue birdmen. In the commercial the metal wings of each of the Pepsi superstars were created using computer generated imaging. Pepsi made a model of the wings using metal and custom made these mechanical metal wings for the 3 Pepsi stars especially for the presscon. The cost of the metal wings plus the newly assembled iron cage reached 500,000.

ZaiZai also thought that filming was an extremely meticulous undertaking this time, with almost no room for errors. “Before filming, they used computers to simulate the entire commercial digitally. I heard it was so they could calculate the length and speed of every frame and every shot. It was very difficult to imagine because we were filming against a green screen. Before filming on the set, they used preliminary computer images to show us the background that will be used for every shot.”

At the presscon, the 3 Pepsi superstars personally introduced and demonstrated their weapons. The metal cage was in fact where Gu Tian Le was trapped in. His whole body was imprisoned by heavy iron clasps. He let F2 experience what it was like to be handcuffed during the presscon. F4 on the other hand had it much easier. They all had a mini-weapon on them, they use this to store ice-cold Pepsi. These 4 bottles of Pepsi plus the united spirit and strength forms the blue storm and becomes the key element of the rescue plan.

Praised by F4, Gu Tian Le was indeed very happy. But he was also very humble when being interviewed. “I’ve watched “Meteor Garden”! They’re very young, very direct, not like us before. They’re full of life and also fun to work with. The day before filming we were hanging by cables for the whole day. Even though we haven’t know each other long, the atmosphere when we were working together is excellent. I hope there are more opportunities to work with them in commercials or movies.”

At the presscon, Pepsi gave each of them miniature metal wings as souvenirs. The 3 Pepsi superstars unveiled the all-new Blue Storm themed bottle packaging, and the all new image products will go on the market nationwide soon. The most important part during the press conference is of course being able to preview this new, much anticipated commercial. A 615 special edition premiere clip was shown during the presscon. The full version will premiere on June 24 at 8:00pm on CCTV1 and will also be simultaneously broadcasted on other major stations nationwide. In the 615 special edition premiere clip, a mysterious character was revealed – the one who trapped and guarded Gu Tian Le’s character, the“Phoenix”. Who is the Phoenix? Will the Blue Bird clan be able to release The Phoenix and let him fight against the evil power so he could be reborn? Certainly everyone will be pleasantly surprised again!

Wow! He’s the only 24 year old guy I know who doesn’t look like 24… he still looks like a teenager…how come every time he turns a year older the more he’d look younger:confused: … and that’s a candid shot pa..usually when you take a picture of someone candidly they would look different...

thats the point... coz zaizai is healthier now... but somehow jinior manage to be more than that.. before you can only spot junior once or twice in an event.. now you almost see him in every pics! ahahahahahah!!!! :p

all the nutrition went there? no wonder zaizai is so skinny.. selfish junior :p
