Rebelde Way is, in a way, a Chiquititas sequel, as it brings together Cris Morena and her kids, now grown up with colored hair and crazy ideas as to how to make adults go nuts.

Camila Bordonaba, Felipe Colombo, Luisana Lopilato and Benjamin Rojas star, along with actors who will make you squeal "Hey, that's ___" when you first watch the show, only this time, instead of being parentless, moneyless and full of optimism, they are somewhat rich, somewhat spoiled and go to Elite Way, your dream boarding school, where they get visits all the time, barely study for exams, skip classes, spend half their time outside and live in rooms the size of your house with wall colors matching their sheets.

The focus is of course on love and relationships - Mia and Manuel, The Couple, the forbidden love, is the first couple. He came to Argentina to destroy her father, who caused his father's suicide (although not so much). They fall for each other, of course, at first sight, where she's dressed in nothing and he goes "wow" to himself. They love to play with us, the writers, as they bring the two together for nearly a week (a week!) only to break them up again until the first season's finale. But don't get your hopes up - the middle of season 2 marks the (supposed) end of them... until the season finale (100 episodes of aloneness).

Pablo and Marizza are the other (not) couple, and here too we are fooled again and again. At first, they pretend to be a couple only to get their parents off their backs. Later on, they get together because of a bet, break each other's hearts and result in the almost saddest moment of all time. Their not coupling is too fun to watch as fights break out every other episode and are fun just as the kisses are. The second season is the season for them, as they almost get together every week or so. We get a real relationship between the two, finally, by episode 135, following the Best Kiss Of All Time. And all is happy.

As Luisana is the rising star of the show, blonde and hot and blue eyed and oh-so-amazing, Camila is the actress - she will make you cry, laugh, and cheer on her. In season 2 she shines - she cuts her hair on screen, shuts her mother out of her life, discovers the truth about her father and Art teacher and proves to be the finest actress on the show. In the second part of the second season, each scene of hers is jaw dropping and heart breaking - and on stage, as ErreWay, she is no less amazing.

The show is a cross between a soap opera and a telenovela, and each episode is entertaining and worth watching. It warms your heart and sets itself in it, and you don't want to let go. As parents go crazy [just lyk meteor garden], you should leave the prejudice aside and just watch - you will never want it to end.

There is no question that Darna is a Philippine icon. A Mars Ravelo creation, this original Pinay superhero has conquered the world of comics and film, and starting Monday, it will change the landscape of Philippine television as well.

But bringing Darna to TV audiences is no easy task as seen during the second of a two-part primer aired on April 1. The special offered an exclusive peek behind the scenes and touched on the highly complex creative process of the much-awaited TV series.

A primary challenge was breathing life to a heroine who was conceived 55 years ago. Thus, the choice of the actress who will play the lead was crucial. Several stars auditioned for the role but Angel Locsin was the unanimous choice.

As many actresses have donned the shiny red suit, notably Rio Locsin, Sharon Cuneta and Vilma Santos, Angel admitted that she is both happy and nervous at the same time for being chosen to be GMA Network’s Darna. “Marami pa akong kakaining bigas,” she stressed and noted that she keeps her ego in check, wanting to keep humble despite bagging the plum role.

Graabe!!! I was really ecstatic when I saw this series in yesasia and also the reviews of buyers. Finally know that the English title of "Wo Pen Shan Liang" is "Blood of Good and Evil". Watched this years ago when I was in elementary or high school, one of the best, best HK TVB modern series ever produced! I remember my friends and I raving about it. It stars a much younger Deric Wan (Eddie in Dolphin Bay, Peter in 100% Señorita) and Maggie Siu, among others.

I have just finished watching Blood of Good and Evil (Part 1). It has been 9 years since. Now I can't wait for Part 2 to arrive. Unlike Part 1, Part 2 focused more on the main narrative and the intricate relationships between characters are starting to unfold. It takes a slighly more serious turn while Part 1 is laden with comic reliefs from Wu Fung. How will Ho Nam reacts when he finds out who his biological father was? Will Yee Ming be able to tolerate Ho Nam's relationship with his adopted father? How will Kiu Ching reacts when he is presented with the fact that blood is indeed thicker than water? Part 2 is jammed pack with stunning views of London, more fantastic 90s soundtrack. Also feature the fantastic collaboration between the late Anita Mui and Andy Hui. This series captured my heart when I first watched it. You can't help but get immersed in the dialogue and the characters alike. There are moments of laughter, sadness, and memorable romance. I have yet to find another TVB pair comparable to Deric Wan and Maggie Siu. The soundtrack is so nicely integrated into the scenes (especially of London) that you will start to reminisce the late 1980s and early 1990s. You will fall in love with BOGAE.

Finally, I have a chance to own a copy of this masterpiece. (I have re-watched this many time from my taped recording copy) There is no doubt that this is one of the best drama series ever produced by TVB. A great cast with a great display of acting skills by Deric Wan!

Blood of Good and Evil is easily the greatest TVB production. The series had won numerous awards including the most watched TVB series in the 90s. It came 4th in TVB Anniversary Award for most watched TVB drama only behind masterpieces like Looking Back In Anger, which also starred the two main cast of Blood of Good and Evil - namely Deric Wan Siu Lun and Maggie Siu Mei Kei. Both actors were hailed the most talented actors for TVB of all time and has often been named the golden couple in the 90s. After a successful casting in Looking Back In Anger, Deric and Maggie was reunited in this well-written and excellently produced drama which instantly launched the career of both actors, forever sealing their reputation in TVB history. Although following the familiar plot of most TVB big production, i.e. the story of familial rivalry - Blood of Good and Evil is unique in its twist and turn. It follows a journey of self-discovery of its protagonist, Chai Ho Nam (Deric Wan) - who the audience is first introduced as the son of Hong Kong's most influential and powerful gangster, Chai Kiu Cheng (Chang Kong). His initial appearance in Blood is reminiscent of his evil character in Looking Back In Anger. However, we gradually followed his journey as he started to discover the humane side of his character through the intricately woven narratives of his family history. It is as though TVB is aiming to metamorphasized this talented actor from an evil creature and transformed him into a tortured soul of torn loyalty and love. Such transformation come with a price of course which involve the lost of love and sacrifices. Without wanting to give away the story, the narrative unfolds when we see Ho Nam was later sent to prison as an expression of loyalty to his father who committed a murder. The case has led to the suicide of Ho Nam's first girlfriend Dianne, (Kitty Lai)who befriended the murder victim and witnessed the murder. His murder investigation was handled by a no-nonsense and fiercely competent Detective, Cheung Ding Pong (Lo Lok Lum) who we later discovered was Ho Nam's biological father. This marks the beginning of Ho Nam's journey from hatred to love, from evil to good. Yet along his journey, he made many choices to hold on to his loyalty to his much love adopted father which ended in many sacrifes including his one true love for Shek Yee Ming (Maggie Siu Mei Kei)- a British Born Chinese who later return to Hong Kong and worked as a journalist for a magazine. The narrative between Ho Nam and Yee Ming is particularly moving and heart-warming as she played a big part in helping Ho Nam in his transformation. Ho Nam first met Yee Ming while on a "mission" in London where Yee Ming was born. His father so-called Blood brother aimed to kill Ho Nam as a mean of expanding his power over Kiu Cheng and to get rid of his London's underground rival. Yee Ming saved Ho Nam when he was pursued by the London gangster. Unbeknown to Ho Nam, Yee Ming was a friend of Ho Nam's sister, Chai Ho Yee (Tung Nam) who at the time was studying Art in London. She went to the same college as Yee Ming who at the time was pursuing her degree in journalism. Unfortunately this had led the London's gangster to kidnap Yee Ming, whom they mistaken to be Ho Nam's sister. This had then led to Ho Nam having to rescue Yee Ming. I guess I should stop telling the full story. Just a taster and a brief summary of why you should purchase this excellent series - believable and unique script which break away from the usual and tired story line of family rivalry, revenge etc. - a moving plot of a loyalty torn between good and evil. Is blood really thicker than water? If you think Cold Blood Warm Heart is great, well think where its get its inspiration? - a moving love story between father and son. A romantic story of two lovers who make sacrifices for each other - a well cast masterpiece with excellent near perfection performance from TVB's most talented actors, Deric Wan, Maggie Siu, Kitty Lai, Wu Fun, Lo Lok Lum, Nathan Chan - great cinematography with stunning scenery of London, Macau and Hong Kong - Great humour from Wu Fung and Maggie Siu - A very moving but surprising ending - this ending is one of the most memorable yet Enough Said. Buy it and Enjoy It Puppet
