During F4's Taiwan first concert , the sponsor originally planned for Barbie to come up the stage and give Dao Ming Si, Yan Cheng Xu, flowers. But because Barbie was not able to, Jerry's first performance was too serious. When Zaizai sing again, he carried a bunch of flowers upstage. This gave everybody a fright. "Da Ge" (Big Brother Jerry) backstage turned pale for a split second because what Zaizai have in his hand is the flowers that supposed to be given by Barbie to DMS-Jerry. Jerry covered his annoyance by asking , "How did Shan Cai come up the stage?". It is reported nobody dared answer that question.

Gist: Because of previous report that BA Da boss' Yang Dengkui said about Bie & Blur's relationship, made Barbie upset, and stubbornly refused to renew her contract with the station where she hosts a 7-year long time running show 100% Entertainment? Regarding this, Barbie quitely denied "This has connection with anybody. I still have to think about it." Her manager Wang Weizhong said " Xi Yuan (Barbie) is determined not to renew the contract, apart from series/dramas. She might host a different show like "Beauty Queen", or something like that."

Barbie emphasized that her decision has nothing to do with the rumor of marriage whatsoever and added that she's been contemplating about this since half year ago. She wanted to concentrate on her acting career, that's her main motive.

In addition, many of her online fans bombarded GTV forum with letters saying if Barbie will leave the show, they will no longer watch the said show.

Barbie Hsu is quitting her job at Yu Le Bai Fen Bai since the ASOS contract with the tv channel is finishing. Her reason for quitting is that she often has to fly here and there for filming of tv serials and also she feels that as she is getting older, she should be hosting things more towards her age. What is rummoured is that she is quitting for the sake of her relationship with Vic Chou and Hsu Mama showed signs of her approval of Vic Chou when she said that as long as Barbie is happy, its alright.

if this is what makes her happy ok lng, khit for sure mamimiss ntin sya...
it's always nice to know that she & Zai are very much happy...

Barbie's manager has confirmed that Barbie is leaving the show, not in Nov but in Dec (maybe the tv station needs time to look for replacement). Not sure whether Xiao S will be back to host the show after giving birth as she is co-host of a very successful chat show "KangXi" & she may need more free time being a wife & mother.

EBay uses superstars to spur online auction sales

Internet giant sees clothing as key to new sales strategy

With clothing now one of the fastest-growing sectors of online shopping, eBay yesterday rolled out its "look like a superstar" campaign in an attempt to spark more auction action in Taiwan.

The Internet auction house even hired popular fashion consultant Perry Liu - also known as "Hsiao P" in the local entertainment scene - as its online style doctor.

"We saw a huge increase in our fashion business these past three months," eBay Taiwan General Manager Julian Wang told a news conference yesterday.

"In fact, eBay's fashion category grew a whopping 40 percent during that period."

Angel Cheng, eBay Taiwan's public relations manager, said the online auctioneer was pulling out all the stops to get its "going once, going twice" momentum kicking.

"To do that, we have recruited some stars to spice up our auctions. 'Hsiao P' dresses Taiwan's hottest young stars today including siblings 'Ta S' and 'Hsiao S,'" Cheng said. The sisters, including the very pregnant "Hsiao S," graced yesterday's news conference.

"During our 'look like a superstar' campaign, online bidders and browsers can ask 'Hsiao P' for some styling tips, from accessories and shoes to colors and textures."

One can look like a superstar even with a modest budget, Cheng added.

"If you don't have the money to buy couture, you can still look hot in a simple dress if you accessorize up a bit," "Hsiao P" said. "All you need are the basics, and from there, you can build up your wardrobe."

"Ta S," who was wearing a peach-colored knee-length dress cut in a bias, agreed. The popular TV host and soap opera princess wore chunky bracelets, strings of glass beads, and simple hair clips to give her outfit some omph. All of the items, including her open-toed heels, were in various shades of the same color.

Even "Hsiao S," who is several months pregnant, looked svelte in her poncho-like striped top and sweater. To complete her bohemian look, she wore lustrous leg warmers and pointed flats.

"Our guests stars' outfits will also be hitting eBay's auction block," Cheng said. "The bidding, of course, starts at NT$1."

Ebay's fashion category is powered by Taiwan's women shoppers, she continued.

"Yes, they make up most of our market," the executive smiled. "This is the reason why we got 'Hsiao P' as our online stylist. We want our customers to bid for the clothes that will look great on them, and at the same time, arm them with the knowledge that will enable them to make the most out of the clothes and accessories that are already in their wardrobes."

Ebay's fashion section even gave a brief outline on the "look" espoused by trendsetters Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce Knowles, and Victoria Beckham, and local stars Elva Hsiao, Jolin Tsai, and Rainie Yang.

Ebay often rolls out trendy campaigns that keep fashionistas-on-a-budget and avid collectors furiously bidding online, Cheng said.

In one charity auction program, the Internet portal worked with local modeling agency Catwalk to produce one-of-a-kind stuffed toys donning haute couture-inspired outfits. Top model Lin Chih-ling, for instance, dressed her plush toy in pearls and a pink suit.

The auction's proceeds went to United Way, a not-for-profit organization that supported a wide range of services including disaster relief, child welfare, and environmental programs.

The awarding ceremonies for the Golden Bell Awards and the Golden Horse Awards are sepearated by only a day. Besides the fierce competition between the casting of the show's respective hosts, the invited guests also intentionally chose to attend only one and not the other. The list of artists invited by organizers ETTV (for Golden Bell) and Azio (for Golden Horse) had a very clear demarcation line. The artists also "choosing a side". For example, Lan Zheng Long's TV drama "Huo Xian Ren Wu" is nominated this year for Best Selling Drama as well as the audiences' poll awards (in the Golden Bell Awards), but he chose to attend the Golden Horse Awards ceremony with his leading lady in his movie "The Lovers", Li Kang Yi.

All the nominees in the Golden Bell Awards' "People's Choice Most Popular Drama" (by poll) are popular idol dramas. But what a coincidence, Da S and her former and present boyfriends Lan Zheng Long and "ZaiZai" Zhou Yu Min will all not attend, using work as their reason, ingeniously avoiding the awkwardness that might come from the possibility of them on the red carpet at the same time.

The call for the Da S-ZaiZai starrer "Mars" to win the award is very high. The people are also anticipating the sight of the two, who are currently in the midst of a passionate romantic relationship, walking the red carpet together hand in hand. But Da S expressed through her manager Chen Yi Ling that Da S didn't receive an invite, she also has work that night and cannot attend. ZaiZai, meanwhile, is filming "Shen Qing Mi Ma". His manager said, ZaiZai still has to rush the filming, he wouldn't have the chance to attend the Golden Bell Awards.

Lan Zheng Long, presently in Shanghai filming "Yong Yuan De Ming Ji", is going to fly back to Taiwan specially to attend the Golden Horse Awards for his movie "The Lovers", but he also starred in "Huo Xian Ren Wu" which was also nominated for the "Most Popular Drama" in the Golden Bell Awards. His manager Billy said, his schedule is too tight, he won't be attending the Golden Bell Awards. Zhang Xiao Chuan, the other lead actor in "Huo Xian Ren Wu" is currently serving his military service, leaving only Ah-Pang and An Yi Xuan to hold the fort.

The other nominees in the "Most Popular Drama" are "Ge Dou Tian Wang", "The Outsiders 2", and "The Love Contract". But the three dramas put together only has three stars attending - Luo Zhi Xiang, Guo Pin Chao and He Jun Xiang. Although "Ge Dou Tian Wang" got high ratings, Sweety and 5566's Sun Xie Zhi and Wang Ren Fu have no plans of attending the Golden Bell Awards. Sweety will go to China for an activity.

Winning the Host award, XiaoS, her family and close friends had a celebration.
Around 11:50, ZaiZai showed up at the Hsu house. XiaoS’s future “brother in law” came to congratulate XiaoS, and of course, to be with his other half, DaS. Around 3:20, all the lights went out in the Hsu family, and everyone went to sleep, ZaiZai didn’t leave.

DaS had to leave the country for work
The next day, around 11:30, DaS came out with her luggage and ready to leave for the airport. When asked if ZaiZai was still in her house, she didn’t reply and got into the car.
Around 10 minutes later, ZaiZai exited the Hsu’s house. It seems that he changed his attire, he came in a white shirt but was wearing a black one the next morning. When asked if he slept well, ZaiZai answered: “Yes! Very well! You guys must be tired!” He knew the reporters were outside all night.) When asked if he had work today, ZaiZai replied “No, I’m going to go home now.” The reporters asked if DaS was leaving the country for work, ZaiZai answered “I don’t know!”

When ZaiZai’s manager was asked if ZaiZai and the Hsu family are “one family” now, or soon to be, ZaiZai’s manager said “It was only a celebration party for XiaoS, nothing more.”

Da S goes to Nanjing to work, Vic Zhou Can't bear to part, accompanys overnight

According to the Taiwan media, there was cheers in the entertainment circle because of Golden Horse and Golden Bell awards. The couple which is most looked upon, Vic Zhou and Barbie Hsu was stick together from the late night of the night before till yesterday afternoon. As Da S was leaving for Nanjing for a week to work, the small couple didn't bear to part and Zaizai stayed overnight at Da S's house. As to whether they slept in the same romm ? Da S's mom said embarassly, "This question is too private, i really don't know!"

The night before, Xiao S won a award in the Golden Bell and as she was back in her mom's place, mother, and both sisters open a red wine for her to celebrate as well.

At around 11.50pm, Zaizai appeared at Xu's house. This Xiao S's future brother-in-law came not only to congratulate Xiao S but also the most important thing, to accompany Da S who was leaving soon. Zaizai entered the Xu's house in a casual outfit and didn't leave Xu's house at all. Only till 3.20pm did all the lights in the Xu's house was switched off, obvious that Da S and Zai only went to bed at that time.

The second day was the day before at around 11.13am, Da S appeared at her doorstep with her luggage, ready to mount her assistant's car when the reporter asked her, "Is Zaizai still at your house ?" She did not answer and went up the car. 10 minutes later, Zaizai walked out alone from Xu's house. Reporters realised he have already changed his clothes, he was wearing white the day before and have changed into a black top instead. Reporters asked him,"Did you have a good sleep last night ?" Zaizai said happily, "Very well, hard on you all!" (He knows we have waited outside for one whole night.) Reporter asked him again, "Working today?" He said in a relaxed tone, "Nope, I'm going home now!" At this time, reporters asked him if Da S is going Nanjing, he started to look more alert and said, "I don't know!"

In regards to Zaizai, Xu Mama have always placed him in observation period. However, after Zaizai spent the night at Da S's house last night, it is obvious that Xu Mama have already treated him as one of them. Would the both of them have a lightning marriage ? Zaizai's manager, Lin Shu Juan said, "Let's congratulate Xiao S for getting the award, this doesn't mean all the good things have ended."

The classic film has been moved to the big screen three times since 1937, but this is the first time it has been adapted into a TV series.

Chinese mainland star Huang Lei is both the director and leading actor in the TV drama.

The 1995 film version of Phantom Lover, starring late Hong Kong veteran Lesie Cheung, won high acclaim in China.

Peter Ho (her co-star) gave Barbie half of the cold medicine he bought from Taiwan when Barbie and himself got sick during their GuangZhou promo. Peter said, "Barbie is very sweet and quite, especially when she read her books on the set." He is admired by her beauty, too bad, she's with 'who know whom'.

At the beginning, Peter said he was about to turn down this project when he found out Barbie will be the female lead. He remembered 7 years ago, when asos interviewed him during his movie promo, he was shocked by Barbie's sharp tongue. But he was glad he took the job. Phantom Lover is considered one of his best role in his acting career.

Both Barbie and Peter got good ratings in Phantom Lover for their roles.

Rumored to have been pregnant and after spending a night @ Zaizai's place in muzhan district, da S suddenly appeared at Man Wah hospital yesterday afternoon with Zai zai. After being separated for a week, S spent the evening of the 19th hanging out with S's pals at her apartment. After her friends left, by around 10:34pm, Zai went pick her up at her apartment in his car.

The couple arrived at Zai's apartment at around 11:20 pm (OMG, this is called "minute-by-minute reporting"). Lights stayed on until 5:50 am in the morning of 20th, fully demonstating how much the shortly-parted couple had missed each other.

The couple visited a lonely senior citizen

The couple stayed at Zai's apartment until 3:38pm the next day, when Zai's brother drove them back to S's apartment. It made the reporter think they were going to do a check up of her prenancy. After the matter, they asked Xu mama about it. Last week, before Da S went to China for work, she couldn't bear to part with her boyfriend, Zaizai. Zaizai even specially spend the night at Xu's place to accompany his girlfriend. After being in different places for a week, and Da S came back. The night before at around 9pm, good sisters of Da S like Fan Wei Qi, Ah Ya went to Xu's house to chat with Da S. When they left, at around 1030pm, Zaizai drove his car to Da S's house and Da S went up the car with a bag of stuffs.

At 11.20pm, both of them returned to Zaizai's MuShan's house. Only the next morning at 5.50pm, the lights went off in Zaizai's apartment, obvious that this couple had lots of things to talk about!

This little couple only went out the house at around 3.30pm yesterday with Zaizai's brother fetching them out. When they returned to Xu's house, this little couple, together with Da S's elder sister and the elder sister's boyfriend, they took a cab to Wan Hua Hospital. Reporters asked Xu mama if Da S went there to check her pregnancy, scaring her. After asking, she then knew that Da S and Zaizai actually went to visit a old elderly. That's because when her grandpa came from China with the government, he ever brought old soldiers. Now, many of them are lonely ones thus Da S and Zaizai took the time to visit them.

When Xiao S went back to her mom's house yesterday at around 6.22pm. Zaizai accompanied the 3 sisters out for a walk and he was even holding on to 2 dogs. XiaoZhu misses XiaoS, DaS gets jealous

Both XiaoZhu and DaS recently returned to Taiwan, one returned from
HongKong, one returned from China. Once on air, they both said: "We're
back!" and reported to the audience how their work went. XiaoZhu first asked
DaS if everything went smoothly. DaS says: "I went from BeiJing to NanJing,
and as soon as i got off the plane, i heard it was zero degrees, very cold!"
XiaoZhu, who went to HongKong, said that HongKong's weather was nice, a pair
of shorts and a teeshirt with a sweater was okay.
XiaoZhu who recently just finished his concert and was a huge success, said that

Youths struggle to define a new China, stressing the freedom of expression. The conservative elders cling on to the old China, emphasizing the observance of traditions. The Confucianist belief of absolute filial piety is questioned. Elders are given the moral authority over youths. Parents decide their children's marriages in the name of their children's interest. Nevermind that To was to marry to a cruel idiot. To is the victim of these social changes. Torn between filial piety to her conservative parents and her liberal beliefs, To was eventually driven mad.

Love remains the theme of the story. Should love conquer shame? While To waits for him, Sung hides under his hood, too ashamed to meet her. On the contrary, To shamelessly pines for him, wandering aimlessly in search of Danping despite societal disapproval. Ironically, shame is ultimately love, love for oneself.

On 100% Entertainment, Fan Fan mentioned about Barbie's 'growth' regarding her chest size. Barbie related it to some sort of health diet (?) and nutrition. She avoided and did not correlate the media's speculation on her potential pregnancy.
There was a news article mentioning a Spring Festival of 2006 (?). The director (?) of the event acknowledged his/her interest in having Barbie as a possible host. I think you can vote online for Barbie as a host.

Ever since XiaoS announced she was pregnant, and got married, the Hsu's family has had luck coming their way. Just yesterday, the Hsu family has had another happy incident.

ZaiZai ZhouYuMin was in GuangZhou for a Pepsi Meet, and other then telling the fans to support him, he also reminded them to support his girlfriend DaS since she just released her pictorial, Barbie Essence.

Even though ZaiZai and DaS have openly admitted their relationship, ZaiZai doesnt like to comment too much on it. During the interview conference for the Pepsi Meet in GuangZhou, the workers had to remind the interviewer to ask only related questions, and nothing else.

Both Park Eun Hye and DaS are good

Interviewer: what have you been working on lately?

ZaiZai: I just finished filming at QingDao with AndyHui and Park Eun Hye for our new drama <Silence.> It is now all finished filming.

Interviewer: during your filming of <Silence,> were there anything special or funny that happened?

ZaiZai: in the beginning, because we are all from different places, Andy from HK, Park Eun Hye from Korea and others from other places, there was a bit of a communication barrier. It was then that my mandarin was good, because compared to them, mine was the best. But it was all good, I would sometimes learn to speak cantonese from Andy and Korean from Park Eun Hye, I found that really neat.

Interviewer: if you compare Park Eun Hye and DaS, who is better?

ZaiZai: they are both good (laughs)

Gist: Beijing Sina Net have set polls for this year's mainland China's grand occasion "2006 Spring Festival Evening Party". And one of that is "who will be the event's hosts".

Normally only mainland artists are among the contenders, but this year they have 3 Taiwan stars included: Barbie, Lin Zhi Ling & Cai Kang (of Kang Xi Lai). As of yesterday's result, Barbie is in 2nd place with more than 10,000 votes, defeating LZL who's 4th with 6,000 votes and Kang is in number 7 with 4,000 votes.

Kang yesterday happily declared he's very happy that he's the 7th. And when asked who he wanted to co-host the even with, he said it's Barbie or LZL. He added that he already worked fine with LZL but can rise a different spark with Barbie.

And for who they want to hear sing in the event, Rain got the top spot, followed by Jay Chou and Zhang Wei.

DaS lives for love
Since the beginning when DaS started her career, she has given off the sense of "loving crazily" image. When she did a photoshot for Elle the other day, she talked about her thoughts on love.

As to love, DaS says: "I always think, if it weren't for the people I love or the dogs I love, I would get out of bed in the morning." She added: "Within love, the other party has to be able to accept the fact that I like to give out, accept that fact that I like to take care of them, let them count on me."

Known for her strict rules against her hair, no perming, no dyeing, nothing that harms the hair, why did she suddenly perm it and dye it? still dont understand why Barbie Xu is more popular in China than our Chiling. No offense, she's great in Meteor Garden, but she's so plain compares to Chiling. When Da S did an interview with ELLE recently, she hinted that she might just get married and have kids anytime. They bought a amount of NT$400 titbits at a go. When they were waiting to make payment, Zaizai placed the titbits into their shopping bag while Da S stood aside quietly and smiled at him, smile filled with love.

After they finished buying titbits, they walked to a nearby coffeeshop to get drinks. Along the way, she held Zaizai's arm tightly. Somtimes, she'll lean lightly on his shoulders, the sweetness and romance was all around. However, her face was pale and took slow steps that day. Zaizai took care of her carefully and walked with her all the way as if afraid that she will miss her step.

News of rumours Da S's pregnancy was flying around, walking slowly, and afraid of falling was a sign from all pregnant ladies. In regards to this, reporters asked Xu mama again yesterday whether Da S was pregnant. DaS hopes to see idol Takuya Kimura

DaS was present in Japan a few days ago promoting her new pictorial <Barbie's Essence> and <Meteor Garden II> but her biggest wish isnt for her pictorial to have huge sale, but is to see her Japanese idol Takuya Kimura. Hello! BarbieII, Kczhu, XiaoChien, ZhouMeiLi, Angeljay, Jayz and ALL the other VICBIE fans in here! I was just passing by taking a look once again on the sweet revealing pictures of Vic and Barbi in their private moments together and hoping to see another revealing photos. I had to see them before getting back to bed so I can dream beautiful. True, lets all join together in praying for them.
