Director Wong Jing is teaming up with martial arts choreographer Ching Siu Tung on a loose remake of Future Cops. Future Cops (tentative) is budgeted at 150m yuan and Andy Lau and Barbie Hsu are playing leads. Andy Lau agrees to joining only after the script went through 19 revisions, and also picks Barbie Hsu, who showed excellent performance in Connected, as his co-star.

Andy Lau was interviewed by Barbie Hsu sometime back, and thought that they would have great chemistry together. It's like a dream come true for Barbie Hsu to work with her idol. Andy Lau reprises his role as a cop from 2085 who accidentally returns to 2010, and teams up with a female cop Barbie Hsu to bust a criminal organisation.

Ching Siu Tung has been working on choreographing the film since the closing ceremony of Beijing Olympics, coming up with exotic moves for Andy Lau and Barbie Hsu.

Filming begins next month and is expected to be completed by end of the year, after which post-production, including special effects, will be carried out. They're planning to go to exotic locales like Dubai to do location filming. Future Cops is slated for year end release in 2009. Yesterday it was publicly announced that Da S and Lin Zhi Ling were both on the nomination list for the Hong Kong Film Awards. Da S got nominated for the movie "Connected" as best actress and Lin Zhi Ling was nominated with "Red Cliff" as best newcomer. Whene Da S found out about this news her whole body was at ease and happily went to celebrate with Xu Mama and Xiao S. When Lin Zhi Ling found out about this news she thought that her manager was playing a prank on her and shouted out "liar". But later when it was confirmed she screamed loudly for 3 minutes and her excitement couldn't end.

"Connected" is Da S' first Hong Kong produced film. To make Da S act with a "real" feeling Director Benny Chan never gave Da S a script. Everyday he will only tell her what she needs to act out whenever she arrives. Da S said "Every scene I had to cry with all my strength even my legs started to wobble, when I returned back to my hotel I couldn't stop having nightmares. Inside the movie I suffer from shock, outside of the movie I was about to go crazy. Being able to be nominated for this movie Director Chan really inspired me a lot."

When Da S found out that she was nominated she called her mum and her sister instantly. The two of them were so touched they started to cry. Da S hurriedly dressed up and went to celebrate. Xu MaMa cooked and gave her best wishes to Da S for getting the prize. Da S said "I don't even dare to think about getting the prize, being able to be nominated with Zhou Xun, Prudence Liew and Karena Lam etc is already my biggest honour."

For acting in "Red Cliff" Lin Zhi Ling rejected many chances for endorsements and adverts. From attending classes to filming to promotions Red Cliff has almost lasted 3 years, it has already turned into a big part of her life. Hong Kong's Film and artist management's director Yim Yau Yi said that she has witnessed Lin Zhi Ling's growth and hard work. In Last year's Golden Horse Awards she didn't get nominated but this didn't affect her strive to work hard and her enthusiasm for movies. Yesterday when Yim Yau Yi announced the great news to Lin Zhi Ling, Lin Zhi Ling said stop lying to me with a trembling voice mixed with happiness.

At the moment Lin Zhi Ling, John Woo and the rest of the cast of Red Cliff 2 went to promote for the new movie. The Japanese media praised Lin Zhi Ling as the second Matsushima Nanako. A lot of male Japanese fans went to chase after Lin Zhi Ling. They chased her from the cinema to the hotel then towards the restaurant where Lin Zhi Ling had her dinner. On the 26th of February, Da S(大S) accepted an interview while in Hong Kong. She expressed that she has never once gotten any award related to acting, and she feels extremely honoured that for her first time acting in a Hong Kong movie, she has been nominated for this year's Golden Elephant Awards. Howver, she has no confidence in winning because of the competition between many 'queens'. During the ceremony, she would only bring her mother along and not her sister, because she is afraid that Xiao S(小S) would dress too sexily and steal the limelight away from her.

"Da Zai's" new dramas meet head to head, Production start and promotions clash, Tuesday March 3, 2009 Taiwan
Da S (Barbie Hsu) and Zai Zai (Vic Zhou)'s old love is always clashing with each other. The new drama, "The Summer of Bubbles", that Da S is starring in, is getting ready to start shooting on the 15th of this month. Zai Zai's new series, "Black & White" [T/N: Literally Ruffian Hero], also chose to return to Taiwan on the 15th for promotions. These former loves will run into each other again!

"Da Zai Love" has already collapsed for 1 year now. The subject of the fallout has yet to be resolved. "The Summer of Bubbles", in which Da S and Peter Ho star as the leads, is about to begin shooting with the other actors, including Mainland Chinese actor, Huang XiaoMing. Yet, in the beginning Peter Ho, the producer, had inquired about Zai Zai's schedule. He had wished to put this former couple on screen together again. However, he had to give-up since Zai Zai had already taken on "The Last Night of Madame Chin".

"The Summer of Bubbles" will not be able to bring "Da Zai" together. But, how could one guess that the former loves will be clashing with each other? "The Summer of Bubbles" is Peter Ho's self-produced and self-starring idol drama. He was careful when it came to this. He had already checked the dates and had settled the actors' schedules awhile ago for shooting to start on March 15th. Coincidentally, Zai Zai's new series "Black & White" also scheduled in advance to hold a press conference on the 15th. Even though the two dramas have not yet opposed each other, just this conflict of dates has given the production companies a headache.

Yesterday, Peter Ho's manager Xin ZhiYu stated that Da S had already confirmed the shooting schedule for "The Summer of Bubbles". She will not change the date to avoid the run in. When the director of "Black & White", Cai YueXun, heard about the run in with Da S, he immediately held his head and cried out, "Don't! Can Da S not be mentioned anymore?!" He told everyone to put their attention on the drama and not blur the main focus. Plus, their respective 普拉嘉 Company was still in the process of settling the schedule. 　　记者抵达该片的拍摄地时，剧组正在拍一组锦衣卫追捕犯人的打戏。片场外，记者看到蒙头垢面的人犯赤手空拳，被七八个锦衣卫围在宫城门口，一番拳打脚踢后，锦衣卫都被打趴在地。其中一个锦衣卫吊着威压，一拳被打得“飞”起，撞在了城墙上。尽管记者离拍戏现场足足有二十米，依旧能听到撞墙的声音又闷又响。那位扮演锦衣卫的“龙套”不知是受了伤还是剧情需要，半天没有爬起来。
　　令记者无比遗憾的是，现场并没有看到主演古天乐和大S，导演王晶和主要配角樊少皇也不见踪影。据现场的制片介绍，《大内密探灵灵狗》今年2月下旬正式开机，如今文戏已经拍完，只剩下武戏正在加紧赶工。古天乐和大S的戏份已经完结，两人早已离开了横店。
　　开工才不到一个月，戏份进展到如此程度，记者不禁惊叹王晶导演的神速。
　　据了解，该片走的是轻松搞笑路线，与周星驰的“大内密探”系列风格类似，片中的皇帝、皇后分别由刘仪伟和吴君如扮演，佟大为、小宋佳、苑琼丹等人都将加盟。
　　记者在现场看到的这场打戏，由于参与人数众多，重复拍摄了七八次。那位吊威压的锦衣卫几次“飞起”，又重重地撞在墙上，令记者深深感叹“跑龙套”的不易。

《大内密探灵灵狗》的剧情：该故事发生在古代某朝，皇帝有12个大内密探贴身保护，以12属相命名，其中古天乐饰演的高天九代表属相“狗”，又被称作“灵灵狗”。他与大S扮演的女侠“梅希望”发生了感情纠葛。此时，樊少皇饰演的公公野心勃勃，意欲除掉皇帝取而代之，但首先他必须把以古天乐为首的12个大内密探除掉。

Zai Zai avoids former love Da S, Sunday March 15, 2009 Taiwan
Vic Zhou (Zai Zai) promotes "Black & White" [T/N: Literally Ruffian Hero], in which he acts as the lead, but avoids former love, Barbie Hsu (Da S)'s, "The Summer of Bubbles"'s opening day. "Black & White", rushing to be first, moved the promotions to the day before. However, Zai Zai still had difficulty avoiding questions from the media about his more than a year breakup with Da S.

At yesterday's conference, the best scene was shown. Because of Zai Zai and Patina Lin [Lin JiaQi)'s series, reporters pointed out that Patina Lin and Da S were very similar. Zai Zai could not help but laugh violently. He explained that his wild laugher was because the media only paid attention to Patina Lin and Da S being similar. He has been solely preoccupied with taking care of himself for his performance in the drama, his muscles haven't loosened. What of the media constantly believing that Da S and Patina Lin's facial expressions also resembles each other? Zai zai says that it was very painful ordeal during the 7 or so months of shooting "Black & White". He even considered not shooting anymore, terminating his acting career. In the series, he is in crazy condition. When filming actions scenes, his upper body had to be on par with Jackie Chan's. Even filming a kissing scene required him to semi-squat and kneel for the kiss. As a result, his knee also became red and swollen.

Summer of Bubbles press conference was held yesterday. The press conference scene looked romantic with stars wearing their gorgeous white attires. Da S together with 2 handsome guys Peter Ho and Huang Xiao Ming were in a cable car that made the scene more romantic.

On-the-spot "Wedding"

Having the three leads at the same time on stage is very special. Two handsome guys escorting Da S while on cable car, slowly landing on a T stage, three idols appeared with their charming smiles and waved to their fans. Da S who was wearing a mini dress and a high heeled shoes pulled two handsome guys to the stage and enjoying the moment, making girls who were there jealous.

The two actors agreed, Da S is the best candidate for the role of Xiao Mo. Huang Xiao Ming said the he accepted the role right away because of Da S playing Xiao Mo. First time producer Peter Ho: "Everyone knows that Da S is really hot nowadays, with lots of movies and advertisements, I was scared that she didn't have time, but having her in this drama makes me believe that this drama will greatly sell!"

Peter Ho joked that the press conference seemed like a wedding ceremony, and that Da S is to marry Huang Xiao Ming. The media then asked Da S who will she choose as his groom, Da S smiled :"very hard to choose!", a reporter then just asked her to choose between the two guys, which male figure she likes better? Da S still awkwardly said "very hard to choose!", and refused to answer.

Da S will play the role of a strong girl named Yin Xia Mo. This drama takes after her experiences, romance and affection. Huang Xiao Ming is Luo Xi, a pretty boy. Korean male star reveals previous 1-year relationship with Da S; would learn each other's language, Monday March 16 2009, Taiwan

Korean male star DJ Koo revealed that he previously dated Taiwanese female artist Da S for 1 year. He expressed that during this one year, the 2 would learn each other’s language, and would often disguise themselves and travel to and back between Korea & Taiwan.

Korean Daily News reported that DJ Koo revealed this news for the first time, during his appearance on MBC variety show <刘在锡, 金媛姬之来玩吧>

He said: “At the time, my own band ‘Clon’ was holding a concert in Taiwan, and Da S, who was a Taiwanese variety show host then, came to my concert and said she was my fan. Afterwards, when I returned to Taiwan again, an insider from the Taiwanese entertainment industry introduced me to Da S, saying she was my super fan. We had a good impression on each other, and started dating.”

He also added: “During that one year, we would learn each other’s language so to cultivate our relationship, and we would often disguise ourselves and travel to and back between Korea & Taiwan.

In Taiwanese version ‘Meteor Garden I & II’, Da S plays female lead Shan Cai, and from then shot to a top star rank. Previously, she and her younger sister together formed ASOS group, and was active in the music industry. Zai Zai went on "Kang Xi Lai Le" for the first time since his break up with Da S. During the filming, Xiao S used the two words, "my sister" to pressure Zai Zai until he nearly gave in. He said straight out that "Kang Xi" was the most abnormal program! Zai Zai also said that her falling down before filming was retribution for her disorderly speech. However, he did also admit that regardless of whether it was before or after, Da S had a place in his heart.

To touch a sore spot is Xiao S's specialty. Yesterday, Zai Zai, the "Black and White" director, Cai Yue Xun and wife ,Yu Xiao Hui, came onto "Kang Xi Lai Le". Xiao S successively asked about Da S, making Zai Zai suddenly yell out one moment and go into a daze the next. The Cai Yue Xun couple were laughing so much that they were incapable of answering.

Xiao S relentlessly asked, "Do you still have feelings for my sister?" Zai Zai stuttered as he said, "My feelings towards her is..." Xiao S interrupted him before he was finished to say, "So, you actually still have feelings towards her." After being interrogated and having words put into his mouth by Xiao S in succession, Zai Zai finally couldn't bear it anymore and said to Xiao S, "You, you, you...you are a person who always speaks disorderly like this. That's why you fell." It turned out that before the program started filming, Xiao S did not sit down down properly on her chair and took a fall to the ground on her butt. Zai Zai, being pressured on the program, said that that was Xiao S's retribution causing everyone present to laugh out loud.

Xiao S continued interrogating Zai Zai about feelings. He stated that if his career has not taken a step forward towards success, then he will not try to develop new affections. He described going on "Kang Xi" as going through a catastrophic suffering, "I think that out of all the talk shows, Kang Xi is the most abnormal."

While promoting [Black & White] ZaiZai can't avoid ex-girlfriend Da S and her sister's confessions they were forced to make. On [Azio Entertainment], Patty Hou acted like Da S, complaining about ZaiZai playing video games at home not talking and complaining about the trouble of changing clothes to go out to eat. ZaiZai shouted, "How do you know? I'm not like that at all."

ZaiZai is very zhai (likes to stay home playing video games, etc); when he lives with Xiu Jie Kai, they rarely talk. As soon as Xiu Jie Kai goes online, ZaiZai will talk to him. One person in the living room, one in bedroom, Xiu Jie Kai doesn't understand why they must communicate using MSN. After ZaiZai and Zhao You Ting acted together, they have been affecting this new person; because of playing video games, they won't eat dinner until 11pm.

Patty Hou asked Zhao You Ting what he would do if his girlfriend said, "Baby, I'm hungry." He said that he'd reply, wait an hour or wait for this round to end, then they'll eat. At this moment, ZaiZai protested that this is where he and Zhao You Ting differ; if his girlfriend said that, ZaiZai would immediately put down his game and make something to eat.

Barbie and Louis act as a couple in Wong Jing’s new ancient comedy movie ‘Forbidden City Cop: Smart Dog’ which is recently in filming process. In the piece, Barbie plays Xi Wang - a lady knight who is a kung fu expert and very smart while Louis plays Smart Dog - a head of the twelfth secret agents of the Imperial Palace who actually does not know any kung fu, only throws himself into the invention of weapons. With the evil force in the dark tries to get rid of Smart Dog in order to go on with its wicked plan of taking over the Emperor power, Xi Wang has to protect Smart Dog all the time.

Still busy with other movie project, Louis temporarily has not joined the crew yet. Louis stated that Barbie always gives him an impression of a quite refined and gentle lady, it’ll be interesting to see the other side of Barbie in comedy genre. Therefore, Louis hopes to meet up with the movie team to begin shooting as soon as possible, to have a look at Barbie’s performance.

ZaiZai & Blue Lan go head-to-head in Golden Bell showdown, Wednesday April 15, 2009 Taiwan
This year’s Golden Bell Awards, ZaiZai will most likely go head-to-head with ‘love rival’ Blue Lan and ‘former rival’ Jerry Yan. Particularly interesting is the fact that ZaiZai & Blue Lan are both ex-boyfriends of Da S, and both made the transition to a policeman in their dramas; their competition is receiving a lot of attention.

The Golden Bell Awards has a number of rules: the best male lead must be from a series and it must have broadcasted at least 8 episodes before May this year. Jerry Yan has never been nominated, and PTV is planning on registering him for ‘Starlit.’ Coincidentally, PTV’s ‘Black & White’ and SETTV’s ‘Police Et Vous’ starring policemen ZaiZai and Blue, respectively also qualify for nominations. ZaiZai & Blue’s names have often been linked together in the past, due to Da S, but it will be the first time they truly compete by acting skills.

Actually, ZaiZai has almost gone crazy from being constantly asked about Da S, even this time during ‘Black & White’ promotions, the focus is still on Da S, even though they had split a long time ago. No-one seems to take notice of him escaping his melancholy prince image and playing a ruffian, a host even mentioned the late Hsu Wei Lun, making ZaiZai feel very uncomfortable. Because he feels there is no point, he declined a few notices, but this instead resulted in rumours of his depression resurfacing again. ZaiZai said helplessly: “If they don’t write about my love life, they write about depression, can they write something else for once?”

As for Blue Lan, lately he has been busy with costume fitting for upcoming SETTV drama ‘Good Health & Fortune.’ In the drama, he plays an overbearing ‘meat man’; and they specially custom-made 20 suits alone. Following Ethan Ruan and Roy Chiu, SETTV have already decided to sign Blue for 3 more dramas in 2 years time, and the condition is that he must not work with any other TV station. In ‘Police Et Vous’, Blue purposely acted gumby, and sure enough, broke away from his ‘flower vase’ label. In ‘Good Health & Fortune’, he will resume his good-looking appearance, but will challenge the course of bad turning good. Blue has been actively engaging in weight training, and after only 2 weeks, visible muscle lines are already appearing.

Da S acts as queen, put on a drip at filming location, Friday April 17 2009, Taiwan
The idol drama [Summer of Bubbles] starring Da S, Peter Ho and Huang Xiao-ming is currently busily being filmed in Taiwan. Da S has the big responsibility of being the female lead in the drama and producer Peter Ho has been treating her extremely well; besides special hair and make-up artists, she also has an assistant holding an umbrella for her at any time. Employees of the drama have revealed that Da S who has been very dedicated, filming projects successively, even invited her family doctor to the filming location to examine her and put her on a drip.

Da S, who recently switched over from filming a movie, has wonderful acting skills and looks. In order to secure her to act in [Summer of Bubbles], Peter Ho was willing to accepted all of the conditions Da S put forward, without asking any questions. As a result, Da S complimented Peter Ho as the most generous producer she had ever met, not reducing anyone's payments and furthermore, looking after the cast members.

Recently employees revealed, Da S was like a queen on the set; on an ordinary day, she would have assistants holding an umbrella for her, fixing up her makeup and even the family doctor arrived at the outdoor set to examine the queen.

According to reports, because Da S has been rushing the filming of successive projects, as well as filming advertisements elsewhere, her physical strength hasn't been holding up and she got a severe cold. Because there was no way she could go to the hospital to be examined, she had no choice but to invite her family doctor to the set to put her on a drip.

Her assistant Xiao Xuan said, "Da S was worried about affecting the progress of the drama so she hoped her doctor could give her an injection before filming again. Unexpectedly, the director sympathised with her and actually said [let's] stop work for the day, but she hastily refused. That's why until now, she hasn't recovered from her cold and is still coughing."

[Summer of Bubbles] supervisor 辛誌諭 Xin Zhi-yu said, "I'm really touched, she is really very professional. Rumours about us finding people to hold umbrellas for her was a misunderstanding, they're people from her own company!"

Huang XiaoMing delays arrival; Peter Ho snatches romantic scene with Da S first, Tuesday April 21 2009, Taiwan
In the strong-casted GTV idol drama <The Summer of Bubbles>, Huang XiaoMing who is one of the male leads, had to continue filming his film <Sound of the Wind> thus he cannot report to the set until mid-May, affecting the filming progress of <The Summer of Bubbles>. However, Huang XiaoMing's delayed appearance has also allowed Peter Ho to "talk love" with Da S first!

<The Summer of Bubbles> sees a strong cast including Barbie Hsu HsiYuan(Da S), Huang XiaoMing, Peter Ho YunTung, Zhang GuoZhu, Canti Lau SekMing, Patina Lin JiaQi, Serena Fang SiYu gather together, recently they held a press conference in Taiwan. The drama's producer Xin ZhiYu said, "Originally Huang Xiao-ming had signed agreeing to report to us in Taiwan at the beginning of April! However, his film <Sound of the Wind> won't finish filming until mid-May so he won't be reporting to the drama until then."

He said, "Currently the whole cast of <The Summer of Bubbles> has had to adjust completely! Lin Zhi Ling, Da S shows off their big breasts and brings glory to Taiwan, Monday April 20, 2009 Taiwan
At the Golden Film awards, Taiwan's Lin Zhi Ling and Da S grabbed the attention of everyone with their low cut gowns, showing off their bodies.

The Golden Film awards, which has been called Hong Kong's Oscar, not only had the stars been conservative this year, Hong Kong super stars like Maggie Cheung were missing, while Carina Lau arrived late. Good thing that there were Lin Zhi Ling and Da S of Taiwan attending, otherwise, there would have been not much to see.

Lin Zhi Ling immediately became the spot light upon arrival. She wore a golden low-cut gown. With her sharp face and collar bone showing, the cameramen shouted her name furiously. Zhi Ling smiled back politely. All the media were very interested in whether she will be getting married soon or not. Zhi Ling smiled and said, "the news about marriage is a false rumor, please do not believe it. Being nominated as best newcomer is already a very big encouragement. I will continue on to be an actress."

After Zhi Ling, Da S came with Louis Ku. The grey low-cut gown made her chest look even fuller. She was just as smart as Zhi Ling Jie Jie by slightly bending down when she was being interviewed, which allowed the cameramen to take close ups of her chest area. But just like when Brigitte Lin wore a low-cut YSL gown while accepting the best actress award at Golden Horse awards, nothing was seen.

In representing the "Taiwan Team", other than Zhi Ling and Da S, Director Wei De Sheng and actor Van Fan, from "Cape No. 7", came with Japanese actress, Tanaka Chie. Louis Koo and Barbie Hsu's Hot Kissing Scene, Monday April 27, 2009 Hong KongYesterday (04/26), Louis for the first time met up with ‘Forbidden City Cop: Smart Dog’ movie team in Hengdian to start shooting his parts of the movie.

This is the second cooperation of Barbie Hsu and Louis after the last year blockbuster ‘Connected’. It’s coincident that once again the first scene Louis filmed with Barbie was also the last play of the movie. Louis expressed that while in ‘Connected, he did everything to save Barbie and her family; in this movie, their roles are reversed. Barbie is the one who protects Louis. It seems Barbie-Louis relationship in the movie is a ‘strong women-weak man’ type. Asked to compare their relationship in this film with the one in ‘The Lion Roars’, Louis replied that in ‘The Lion Roars’, Louis is so afraid of his wife while in this movie Barbie treats him well and she is not ominous.

The scene narrated after many twists and turns, Barbie and Louis got the good ending. The two enjoyed their time in a huge and beautiful kite balloon which of course was created by Louis. Da S supports Zai Zai, Xiao S wants Mark Zhao, Friday May 1, 2009 Taiwan
Da S is very big-hearted; recording a 20-second promotional tape for ex-boyfriend Zai Zai's 'Black & White'. She praised the drama, saying it has 'soul' but avoided saying Zai Zai's name. Younger sister Xiao S' taste is clearly different; she supports the other male lead Mark Zhao, exclaiming: "This drama has made me re-fall in love with 3 men: Director Cai, Zai Zai & Mark Zhao, you son, I want you!"

Although Da Xiao S did not take part in 'Black & White', they still unconditionally filmed 20-30 second promotional tape for the drama. Xiao S' tape has already broadcasted last week, Da S' tape will broadcast on PTV on May 2nd. The production company has already burnt the DVD for the 2 sisters.

Da S & Zai Zai developed a relationship after 'Mars' and the 2 both have special feelings towards Director Cai. The best tacit understanding between them is that they do not like to go round and round the 'Da Zai Lian' topic, so on her promotional tape, she did not mention Zai Zai's name at all, all she did was praise Director Cai's drama for having 'soul'.

Earlier, Zai Zai & Mark went on 'Kang Xi Lai Le' to promote the drama, and although host Xiao S spent almost the whole episode talking about Da S and Zai Zai's past love, she did not hide her like for Mark.

Xiao S revealed that she likes guys who have single-eyelids, and she playfully tried to electrify Mark. In the end, Zai Zai could not take anymore, and said; "Did you forget that you are already married?" But Xiao S did a wide-eye expression, and exclaimed: "Oh! I almost forgot about that!" Afterwards, when she was filming the promotional tape, she again openly expressed her love: "Mark Zhao, I want you!" completely not worrying about her husband getting jealous.

Da S: Love is not in life's top 10 priorities, Monday May 4, 2009 Taiwan

Going to Taiwan to visit the set of television drama <Summer of Bubbles>, I'm the only reporter that was able to interview Da S. Our conversation took place in between her work, the place was chaotic and noisy... but as interviewer and interviewee, we kept professional enough. In the limited time, we were not distracted by the noisy atmosphere.

A few days have passed and as I fix up the recording of the interview, I admire the two of us more and more because being able to talk about such fresh content with Da S who has more exposure than most artists, isn't an easy task.

This proves that we both expressed enough sincerity.

My sincerity influenced her so she didn't brush over any of my questions. Her sincerity made me very touched, it was so rare to see someone who faced the media so often, still open up her heart.

In this interview, not only did Da S talk about her younger sister Xiao S whom we are all familiar with, she also talked about the many occasions she shared with her elder sister and mother. She said that right now, love is not in her life's top 10. She admitted that she really likes children; she looked after her sisters' children when they were born and she has great relationships with her nieces and nephews.

"Da S is a bright, intelligent girl!" is Peter Ho and Huang Xiao-ming once described her. Furthermore, after my conversation with Da S, I was sincerely convinced of this.

"My younger sister Xiao S wishes for a simple, happy life but I pursue life's challenges"

"As long as you're human, you'll feel lonely. I believe that even if 70% of the people on Earth have family and children, they still feel lonely. However, Xiao S has almost never felt lonely."

Do you feel lonely a lot?

Yes, quite a bit, because I always think about more things and about people. My younger sister is more cheerful so she thinks less. We often talk about our outlook on life, she pursues simplicity and happiness while I pursue challenges.

Sisters usually influence each other, who is more easily influenced between you and Xiao S?

We don't really influence each other, we will respect and support each other's decisions, no matter what. That's why, for a period of time I was quite hesitant, asking myself, is pursuing challenges a normal choice? Xiao S said, what's not normal about it, everyone has a reason for what they pursue.

Do you and Xiao S ever reverse roles, do you ever feel like she's more the elder sister?

At times, but not so much. Most of the time, she's more like the younger sister. After she got married, I saw her change a lot. Perhaps because she has a family of her own and her own children, she has experiences that I haven't. At first, I was very curious about her life after marriage, I really wanted to hear about her life experiences after marriage. However, I've gotten used to her changes now, I'm not so curious as I used to be.

In <Summer of Bubbles> Xia Mo chooses to shun from love because she was so sentimentally attached to her younger brother. In your life, will you shift between family and love?

In the past, I would spend less time with family when I was in a relationship so my family would joke that when I was in love, I became a very useless person, blindly throwing myself into love... Now, I've changed my priorities concerning family and love. Right now, work is my highest priority, family is second, then friends, interests, hobbies... love is no longer in my top 10 life priorities.

Actually, when love comes, it's often very vigorous, but if I really had to choose between family and love, family would always come before love. There is nothing more precious than family.

This choice of yours is the opposite to what others usually say. As people grow older, love and marriage become more important to them.

Because love in the past has allowed me to know myself even more, I have matured a lot. I've discovered that I'm a person who really longs for freedom, I don't want to pulled back by love and emotions, so right now, work is more important to me.

Not only is "love" out of your top 10, even friends have been pushed back a few places, haven't your friends complained?

My friends and I usually influence each other. For example, when my younger sister got married, we started thinking about our own relationships and marriage. However, now that they suddenly see me working like crazy, they have also started to work harder. Perhaps, this is our collaborative choice right now. We've already said that no matter what stage of life we're at, we'll mature together.

Do you admire Xiao S? She has found a good balance between work and family.

I think her choice suits her personality very well, this is something that can't be forced. She has always wanted a life with family and children surrounding her all lively and excited. An earnest everyday life will naturally have an earnest life's result. I think, this is also God's gift to her for taking responsibility in life.

Everyone pursues and wants something different, for example, I am pursuing freedom so I don't admire anyone in particular. Everyday when Xiao S finishes work, she has to go home and face the trifles of family life but she likes it, so she won't feel exhuasted. However, having a family is not currently something I want, so I don't really admire her.

Most people know the side of you that is radiant onstage and onscreen, but they don't know how exhausting it is, being an artist. When you arrive home, do you feel lonely?

No, I don't, because I really enjoy that tranquility of coming home. At work, I'm very happy and don't feel exhausted at all. Of course, sometime I feel the pressure because I want to perform better. When this happens, I will quickly find family and friends to chat with and they'll usually will be 100% confidence and support. Right now, I'm also more accepting, if I really don't do my work well, I'll ask for another chance; if I still can't do it, then I'll learn to forget it, instead of wasting time on it.

If people don't understand you two, they'll think that you and Xiao S' choice are the complete opposite. She looks lively, vivacious and has a glib tongue so would be more likely to choose a life of freedom; while you're more quiet, gentle, lovable and would need a family's care more...

Actually, we are opposites. Xiao S' dependence on others is stronger and hopes for a stable, settled life. However, I am willing to look after others and give others stability. So among our friends and family, I act as the worried, tired character... I don't know why I give others such a big misconception, this is also what I find so interesting about people.
Your mother is very admirable, bringing up two such beautiful, wise daughters

My mother really is very lucky. Not only are my younger sister and I filial to her, I also have an older sister who is also very remarkable. She has the temperament of a lady, she has a down-to-earth sort of beauty.

My mother also has a great personality, she can change her character and position among us. For example, since we were young, she has had a very special way of disciplining the three of us, making us all control each other. She knows that I am tend to sympathise with others, if she doesn't let me do something, I'll definitely rebel... at this time, she'll tell my younger sister to act rebellious, dispatching the relationship between the three of us, this is how she's wise. Now that we've grown up, we've gradually matured and understand Mama's intelligence, also admiring her more. So now, our relationship with Mama is very friendly.

In the past, when we heard Mama praising to others, "My babies are so great..." we would tell her not too show off so much, to keep a low-profile. However, now I feel that our successes exist because of Mama's successes in life, our achievements today are thanks to her.

Facing three daughters all so outstanding, does Mama treat them all the same, does she ever favour one of you more?

Yes, she tends to favour my younger sister more. Number one, because she's the youngest and gets spoilt more; number two, she really is more "slick and sly" compared to me and my elder sister. (laughs)

For example, when we do something to make Mama angry, if I think I'm right, I'll definitely grit my teeth and bear the pain, not afraid of being hit; my elder sister however is more confused, sometimes she doesn't know why she's being hit; my younger sister, regardless of whether she was right or wrong, as soon as she sees Mama's stick coming down, will throw a tantrum saying, "Ma, don't you love me most? You couldn't hit me..." So the child with the sweeter mouth is spoilt more and won't suffer being hit. In my Mama's eyes, her eldest daughter is expressionless, her second daughter is obstinate while her youngest has a smart mouth and is sweet, how can she not spoil her.

Having you and Xiao S, such outstanding younger sisters, will your elder sister feel pressure because of this?

No, my elder sister is down-to-earth, low-profile, her personality is completely different to ours. Our whole family has a similar characteristic and that is, honest and not forceful. My elder sister is the perfect example of our family tradition, she is not aggressive at all.

This is the second cooperation of Barbie Hsu and Louis after the last year blockbuster ‘Connected’. It’s coincident that once again the first scene Louis filmed with Barbie was also the last play of the movie. Louis expressed that while in ‘Connected, he did everything to save Barbie and her family; in this movie, their roles are reversed. Barbie is the one who protects Louis. It seems Barbie-Louis relationship in the movie is a ‘strong women-weak man’ type. Asked to compare their relationship in this film with the one in ‘The Lion Roars’, Louis replied that in ‘The Lion Roars’, Louis is so afraid of his wife while in this movie Barbie treats him well and she is not ominous.

Patty Hou exposed that Vic Zhou was overly possessive of his ex-girlfriend, Barbie Hsu, demanding that she accompanied him whenever he is home and restricting her freedom to meet up with her friends. This resulted in their breakup.

The couple of two years called it quits last year with neither revealing the true reason for the breakup, leaving people to their own conjectures.

Recently, the famous Taiwanese host, Hou, friend of Hsu and co-actor with Zhou in a drama of sweet relationship, revealed the reason for the couple's breakup over an interview session with the latter.

Hou said, "Whenever I call to ask Barbie out, she would tell me in a hush hush tone: I can't, Vic is around."

(As expected the media is trying to make a big fuss out of this instance at the dinner and of course, consider the factors that Barbie is "single" and Summer Bubble needs to have a romantic pull...oh well, this type of buzz is anticipated hehehe)
