F4 will unite once again, this time it is to promote tourism for Taiwan. Beginning of the year, Ministry of Communications Tourism department invited various tv stations to nominate. GTV proposed Barbie Hsu & Luo Zhi Xiang while Angie Chai appointed F4.In the end, F4 was voted & chosen to become ambassadors for Taiwan's tourism

Ever since Jerry set up his own company, it is rumoured that F4 will not get together as a group for the time being. However, tourism board will gather the 4 of them, with a budget of NT90 million for this project. Spokesperson for Ministry of Communications stated, they had invited Zhang Hui Mei to endorse in the past to attract the South East Asia market. This time, they will work with F4, and F4 will be guest at a concert held at Zhong Shan Zu Qiu Chang.

However, there are news that for this project, besides inviting F4 to be ambassadors, the 4 of them will act in a drama series. The drama will be filmed at famous sites in Taiwan such as Taipei 101, Gu Gong, Ah Li Shan, Ken Ding, Yu Shan etc. Tourism board hope that this project could counter the influence of Korean drama series. Once this project is announced, Japanese & Korean film companies has shown interest. Angie Chai has confirmed that they are discussing with the authorities and are preparing the proposal. As to how to split the NT90 million among the 4 of them, endorsement fee & filming for the drama series, Angie Chai said" The whole project does not only cover expenses used for filming, it also includes promotion, activites, marketing and artistes fee.

In the new idol drama "Silence," ZaiZai and Park Eun Hye seem very sweet onscreen, but offscreen
ZaiZai doesnt talk or care about Park Eun Hye. ZaiZai would rather play with a dog then talk to
Park Eun Hye when not filming.

ZaiZai's manager replied: "He doesnt like to smile and talk much while filming, but he's
a joker and talks to everyone after the days work is finished!"

ZaiZai and Park Eun Hye go to the market to buy food, go to the river and go for car rides
in the drama. Although it seems sweet and lovely onscreen, it is the opposite offscreen.
ZaiZai would rather talk to a dog then to care for Park Eun Hye, making people wonder
if he is afraid of DaS, so he keeps his distance from other females.

ZaiZai is in HongKong right now filming for his new movie "Butterful Flies." His manager
says: "When he is working, he is very concentrated, but after work, he is totally different."

Yes, zai zai is currently in HK...waiting to film to his movie...at the moment the director of the movie has gone overseas for a movie festival. Really anticipate for his moive...it's going to be really exciting...been waiting for almost 4yrs now. So a few more months won't hurt. As to barbie, I completely don't know her whereabout...not even sure if she's in taiwan. Seems like she had disappear, probably staying at home looking after her beloved neice.

Any, a little tibit from a recent interview in shanghai....he was picking out question asked by the fans on the internet and one of the question he picked from an envelope asked: What you do think of the ppl who constantly say hurtful thing about your love one.

Anwer: Actually, I haven't seen or heard of anything hurtful that being said about "my other half". I don't pay much attention about it on the internet. So I don't know of it exsistence. Actually, I think there's at least 50-60% of fans are very supportive, encouraging and positive about our relationship. Then I feel that the support from you people are enough. Other than that, I won't care about the others.

He recognised barbie as his "other half" on national t.v. just to show how important she is to him and the fact that he's already has his mind and heart set for the one person. Another important point is that, We as VB fans were ackwonledge...they knew of our exsistence and love our support. So our decision to love this couple are all worth it. So ppl, don't be too upset about ppl who come here and try to says hurtful things because if our lovely couple aren't affected by it then why should we right?

Anyway here's another one that definitely will bring smiles.....Vic has recently visit the vicpower site and register an email address as vab9999@....Ummm...you see ppl that really got a lot of VB fans thinking. Because in the chinese forum, they call VB as VS (da S) so now they are all trying to accustom to this change of name heaheahea. Lucky for us, we have been calling them VB for the longest time. And in chinese, the number 9 stands for forever. So I'll this to you all to your own imagination.

Corner With Love" will have 24 episodes

Being known for her "Cindrella" story in Meteor Garden, DaS now has a new drama out costarring XiaoZhu LuoZhiXiang. From playing a "poor child" in Meteor Garden, DaS: "This time i play a rich, arrogant girl who enjoys her money and lives at ease. I fall in love with a simple guy who has self resepect." When having to change 5 different outfits a day due to her rich status, DaS figures: "Id rather be a poo person, it would be much more simple to live in a pair of jeans and a t-shirt." After a while of filming, DaS would have to borrow others clothes for the storyline because she doesnt have enough herself.
In the drama, XiaoZhu and DaS play a bickering couple, starting from always arguing to falling in love.

ZhangZhen believes that there are such thing as ghosts and spirits, "Ive been layed on twice by ghosts, and both times were when i was out of the country in a hotel." He will be filming a new ghost film with Daniel Wu called "Heaven's Mouth" and he says that he is very excited. He mentioned that when filming with DaS and Karena Lam, DaS had a set of Japanese lines, yet she didnt have to NG at all, complimenting that she is very sharp.

Everyone know DaS loves beauty and loves to look good. For her new movie "Silk," DaS has given up her beauty look as she was maked-up to be a pale looking ghost whose mouth drops open. To trick her good friends, DaS visits them in her scary makeup, frightening them to scream.

The director SuZhaoBin originally wanted DaS to play KarenaLam's pure and innocent role, but during the casting tryouts, the dirctor ased her to try out for this role to test her acting skills. To his surprise, DaS played out the role extremly well, making him decide to cast her for her role she has now. After the casting, DaS went home to decide for a few days whether or not she wanted to play this "ugly" role and to accept the challenge.

DaS says: "I have never played a role where it was totally different from myself, so i spent a ot of time preparing and understanding the role. Although it was difficult, i think it went very well. Both the director and I were very daring with the role."

SuZhaoBin is very impressed with DaS's work. "She is very talented and she has high expectations of herself."

According to sources, besides proposing the advantages of F4, "Ke mi rhu zhi" and GTV also joined in at the Tourism Office proposal of hiring Da S, and Xiao Zhu Luo Zhi Xiang as the male-female lead to present Taiwan's tourist spots, like the form of "Meteor Garden" male-female couple. 2006 ELLE Style Awards

after you get into voting page,

http://www.elle.com.tw/esa2006/simple/voting_2.htm

you would see barbie's (http://www.tsinoy.com/forum/newreply.php?do=newreply&noquote=1&p=536495#)photo on the first row, last one. (there are four of them)
you need to vote each category.
then at the bottom, you need choose ur location (taiwan, hongkong, china) , (you can pick one of them)
then type ur name and e-mail address.
then click confirm ur voting (left one), then u done.
they would send you a confirmation letter. If you do not receive that, then don't use that email address,
pick another one.
one vote per day per e-mail. if you have two e-mail addresses , then you can vote two times.

DaS went to HK to film a days commerical

ZaiZai ZhouYuMin's popularity has been decreasing lately. His newest drama "Silence" only recieved an average of 2.5 last week, not even the kissing scenes between ZaiZai and ParkEuHye could bring up the ratings.

"Silence" will end soon, and it will be replaced by "The Legend Of Star Apple." The ratings has risen and fallen from a 3 to 2.2, only 1/3 of "Meteor Garden's" ratings.

Although the ratings arent that high, ParkEunHye and ZaiZai still have high expectations for this drama with only one promotional event. Having MingDao's "The Legend Of Star Apple" airing soon, the audience cant help but sigh because MingDao's dramas usually have around a 6 for ratings.

Even the audience go online to forums and dicuss how "bad' "Silence" is getting to, from always having ZaiZai and ParkEunHye having fun, then suddenly he coughs up blood, nose bleeds and stomaches, making the audience cringe with pain as they watch, wondering "is love really the best medicine?" The company has said that they want to emphasize the love between ZaiZai and ParlEunHye, and that they believe that the ratings will rise when the ending is aired.

ZaiZai is in HK filming for JohnnieTo's "Flying Butterfly." Rumors had it before that DaS flew to HK to see ZaiZai and visit him, but DaS's manager cleared things up by replying: "DaS indeed had flew to HK, but it was only to film a commerical, which was finished in one day. She returned to Taiwan on the same night. There was no time to do anything else."

Da S' charms will fry rice, and will not rival Bao Long's (Jerry) dancing in the
Lian He Bao streets and to add to F4. Because they are promoting travel tours, theTraffic Bureau and Tourism Office will release an idol drama, and managements each recommended their idol stars for the project. Having already verified the details, F4 management said that the F4 handsome guys will star in that drama. Male lead Jerry Yan will portray a boy dancer instructor.

According to sources, besides proposing the advantages of F4, "Ke mi rhu zhi" and GTV also joined in at the Tourism Office proposal of hiring Da S, and Xiao Zhu Luo Zhi Xiang as the male-female lead to present Taiwan's tourist spots, like the form of "Meteor Garden" male-female couple. GTV also plans to set up leading lady Da S to personally go to the kitchen and fry rice. But Da S and Xiao Zhu Gua are not overwhelmed by sheer numbers. Finally, the Tourism office had its eye on the Japanese and Korean market, and chose the F4 members who swept all-Asia.

GTV Planning Department then expressed that they really favored the proposal of the Tourism Office. But the leading lady has only Da S, and that other details have not been discussed and selection is not yet completed.

Taiwan celebrity DaS in her new movie "Silk" has given up her beautiful side by looking like a dead corpse. When she thinks back to the look, she says that shes still a bit freaked out and she will double think the idea if she is asked to get made-up like that again. She says that not because it's ugly, but because during the course of the make-up, it is very painful. The movie company has hired a professional make-up artist from Australia to help her with this look. Because the make-up look has to be very detailed and real, the entire process took around 8 hours. DaS said that this look is so scary that when she goes to the bathroom, she does not dare to look at herself in the mirror.

DaS's two male partners, JiangKouYang(Japanese actor) and ZhangZhenTung have to eat with her, and JiangKouYang said that he doesnt want to face her during the meal, but on the other hand, ZhangZhenTung continues to crack jokes like normal.

In the movie, DaS has given all she can, such as speaking Japanese, smoking, acting harsh, but the scene of DaS trying to "seduce" JiangKouYang had been cut. DaS expresses that this scene took an entire day to film, was very difficult, and that cutting it out was a pity, but she respects the directors decisions.

This movie has the effects of Hollywood, and it is the one of the most hottest films in Asia. Both DaS and the other main female lead, Karena Lam, have signed up for the "Best Actress Award" in the "43rd Golden Horse Awards" this year.

Full of romance written on her face, DaS was seen dressed in a pink dress. When she waves, she lets off a mature essence in her. During the interview, DaS was very kind, and even admitted: "Im not the good and well-behaved child in the family as everyone thinks i am."

"Im not well-behaved, thats why i enjoy filming ghost movies."
"You guys have been tricked by my "Meteor Garden" character "ShanCai."" She has been often labelled as "innocent," "pure," "good," but DaS expresses: "I am not good. I enjoy upsetting and strange things, such as provoking people or things. i have a brain full of weird things."

From "The Ghost Inside," "Chinese Ghost Story," to "Silk," they all have to deal with ghosts, and this satisfies DaS's "freaky urge" inside of her. "Im nor afraid of being ugly, that's why i agreed to be made-up like a dead person; i enjoyed this movie." DaS remembers that last day of filming, it was near dawn and DaS didnt have time to wash off her makeup before heading home. At home, DaS sat in the living room, and HsuMaMa just came home from playing MaiJong. When HsuMaMa walked in, DaS slowly turned around and whispered a "MaMa," scaring HsuMaMa to death. HsuMaMa then says: "Daughter, what happened to you?" The daring and "rebel" DaS obviously loved this experience because she got to scare her mother, it gave her a awesome experience. "But having to be made up like this is very painful, everytime takes around 8 hours. Because of this, i treated the 2 males leads to dinner, forcing them to face me with the make-up on. Even when i went to the bathroom, looking in the mirror, i would get scared for a second."

"Im smart, because i am alert at work"
The brand(Tissot) expressed that they chose DaS as their spokesperson because they feel that she is smart. "Out of the Asian females, we felt that her cleverness fitted what we were looking for." When DaS was asked about this, DaS responds: "Looking at myself, i dont see how clever i am, but at least i know that im more smart then a monkey." DaS says that she is alert at work, keeping an eye on the time and knowing what she needs to finish that day, and that she is good at determining things. "If that counts as being smart, then i guess i pass. but in terms of society, then i am far behind."

DaS has her future work schedule planned out. As of now, she wants to film. "Ive already quit my spot in "Entertainment 100%" because i want to focus on filming." Her past 8 years of hosting as given her a bit of stress. "Having me and XiaoS in front of the camera joking around and raging, i feel very stressed." DaS says that whatever she does, she does it based on feeling and interest, if none of these are present, she will not force herself to continue with the job. "If one day i return to hosting, it is because i found a new interest in it. When me and my sister talk about hosting, we want to do a interview type of host job.

"Im afraid of being in the sun, so i dont take strolls along the beach with ZaiZai"
The company had given DaS a wristwatch with her name "XiDi" engraved on it. DaS says that she enjoys collecting accessories, and that they make good presents because they are unforgettable. When asked if she will give her engraved watch to her lover ZaiZai, DaS said: "Tissot has already given me 2 sets of "couples watches." the first set i gave to my dad, and the second set i gave to my elder sister and her husband. In our family, there are so many males, the list goes on and on, but the next time i get a "couples set," i will give it to the person you guys want to me to." Using "the person" to describe ZaiZai, DaS was smiling sweetly. When asked if DaS will wear her new watch which has a "sea" theme to the beach with ZaiZai to take walks, DaS straight forwardly replied: "I'll wear the watch, but not to the beach because i dont like being in the sun. Even if i do go to the beach, i will pick a cloudy day." It seems like the "Beauty Queen" cares about her beauty more then her lover.

"I will be beautiful, so i am not afraid of being 30"
Turning 30, DaS still has her cute and girly face plus her petite figure. Seeing this, DaS says that all her efforts ever since little has not been wasted. "Everyone around me has suffered mentally or physically by my craziness of beauty, but now when they see how it has effected them in a positive way, they have nothing to say." Ever since she was little, she would hear how getting older will effect you, but DaS says: "Im 30, but i dont think i have changed that much in terms of appearence or attitude. Even if i have changed, it is acceptable. Age increases everyday, and i enjoy that because i get more mature and grow. So even though i am 30, it's not that big of a change."

As her thoughts towards awards and fame, DaS says: "Everything i do is out of interest, not because of some sort of reward. If i did everything based on awards, then i would be too materialistic. Women like those get old really quick." Signing up for the "Best Actress" for the "Golden Horse Awards," DaS is not stressed or nervous at all. "This character was a challange, that's why i chose it. It also lets me work with many great people, this is worth more then an award. Getting or not getting and award is not within my wants."

This Taiwanese blockbuster begins as a stimulating supernatural thriller, but veers off into Hollywood schlock as romance muscles in on the plot

Riding high on the media hype surrounding its record-breaking US$6 million budget and its international cast, Silk, by Taiwan’s fast-rising commercial director Su Chao-pin, attempts to position itself as the island’s answer to Hollywood blockbusters. Thanks to the international production team made up of technically proficient professionals from Hong Kong, Japan, Australia and Taiwan, the super-natural thriller is an entertaining film in which The X Files meets Asian ghost story.

The movie begins with a promising premise as an international team of scientists, led by crippled Hashimoto (Yosuke Eguchi), discovers a boy ghost in a rundown Taipei apartment and uses an anti-gravitational device called a “Menger Sponge” to capture the ethereal being. To solve the mystery of the child’s identity and how he became a ghost, Hashimoto recruits local police force special agent Ye Chi-tung (Chang Chen), who accepts the mission for a personal reason: to learn more about the afterlife as his mother lies dying in hospital.

Following the child ghost set loose by the scientists, Ye learns the boy’s mother committed infanticide and the mysterious silk strands attached to the boy are a type of energy that connects the spiritual and human worlds. Believing that hatred is what the ghost feeds on, Hashimoto quietly carries out his own secret plan to achieve immortality, and in so doing, inadvertently unleashes a much fiercer spirit that is determined to hunt down every one involved in the project.

Surviving the impending otherworldly calamity, Ye reunites with his sweetheart Du Jia-wei (Karena Lam) and accepts the death of his mother with the realization that it is love, not hate, that keeps the spirits of humans lingering in the temporal world.

Clearly an improvement from director Su’s previous horror flick The Heirloom, the film presents an acceptable storyline brought to life with lively cinematography, editing and fitting set design. Beginning his film career as a talented screenwriter, Su came up with a well-written script that ingeniously builds suspense around the Chinese concept of the afterlife. Yet the promising scientific thesis of the super-natural phenomenon and folk beliefs is left largely unexplored as the film progresses and eventually turns more toward human relationships, placing the emphasis on the protagonists’ personal problems and conflicts interspersed with a few standard scary moments.

The first third of the film provides an admirable example of good entertainment. The fast-paced, opening sequences introduce the mission of the scientific team in a pithy style and the dramatic tension of the gun fight between Ye’s police squad and a group of kidnappers has rarely been this well-executed in local productions.

The international production team gives the movie an almost impeccably smooth look. Hong Kong’s leading cinematographer Arthur Wong lent the film an indispensable punch and the acclaimed Japanese set designer Yohei Taneda, whose work includes Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill, successfully creates an eerie replica of Taipei that is familiar and exotic at the same time.

However, the major flaw of the film is the lack of character development — except for the twisted Hashimoto. The miscasting of two young scientists fails to convey an urgent sense of suspense, while Hong Kong actress Karena Lam gives a decent performance in the one-dimensional role of flower-shop cutie who is the incarnation of conscience and love. Surprisingly, Chang Chen — as the distracted Ye — shows the audience his progress from a poker-faced star to an actor who has begun to understand his craft.

Despite the few weaknesses, Silk is a satisfactory commercial flick that creatively blends local flavors and tastes with the sci-fi genre that is rarely touched upon in Taiwan. It is all part of the industry’s continuous effort to attract local audiences back to theaters and aim for the markets abroad with high production values and big-name Asian stars.

Dami pics ni barbie ah? Thanks for posting all of these. Can't wait to see Barbie's movie "Silk". Sayang nga lang that the intimate scenes were cut out. It was a pity coz as what Barbie said she really worked hard to film that part but it's the director's decision so we can't argue with him.

ZaiZai Avoids LiBingBing
ZaiZai and LiBingBing are presently in HongKong filming for JohnnieTo's newest movie, "Flying Butterfly." JohnnieTo is known for being strict and having high standards, and for ZaiZai's first movie, it is going smoothly in terms of NGs, maybe because his girlfriend is Barbie. As for LiBingBing who has had many experiences in movies is NGing quite a lot; a scene of her running across the road took more then enough NGs, making JohnnieTo so mad that he wanted to swear.

Yesterday the crew were in Centrel filming and both LiBingBing and ZhouYuMin were present. The two didnt talk much as they didnt want any rumors to start. ZaiZai, who has a "very tight and strict" girlfriend, aviod being "meserized" by LiBingBing.

In the scene, ZaiZai has to pretend to be a reporter secretly snapping photos of LiBingBing. Maybe ZaiZai has the natural talent of being a papparazzi, he did it within 2 shots. He even took the DV and started to film the real reporters for fun. As for LiBingBing, she was the Queen of NG. Whenever she was not on screen, she would comb her hair, and when it was her turn to film, she would not give her best causing the team to retake the same shots.

As of now, Barbie has no plans on getting married with ZaiZai, but does not know what the future holds

To promote her newest movie, DaS took part in a phone interview. When the topic of her sister XiaoS and her happy marriage with her family and child, DaS was asked if she wanted the same life as her sister. DaS says that seeing her sister give birth was a very wonderful thing. "When i see other pregnant ladies, i feel that they are in pain because of the way they walk or i hear stories of how much difficulties they are going through, but my sister didnt have any of those. Her entire process was very smooth and she got her beautiful figure back in no time. But i dont think i can do it or handle it, so XiaoS says that if her next is twins, then she will give one to me." (Do you have plans of getting married?) "No plans yet, but no one knows. Haha, i am a person who likes to do things according to my mood."

Doesnt mind her screen time in "Silk" is short
In the movie, DaS only have 8 minutes of screen time from beginning to end. When she accepted the movie, she already knew that her screen time was limited. "I just thought of the fact that i get to cooperate with my favoutire actors, nothing more."

Although her screen time is very little, in the movie she has to speak Japanese, showing that her language ability is quite good. "It was a challenge for me. I wanted to see if i could speak Japanese and English well, so i spent a lot of time on it. When i got the script, i asked my Japanese friends to teach me the proper way of pronouncing the words, and then i'd memorize it for the filming. There was a long phrase, but JiangKouYang thought that it wasnt that well, so we changed the phrase to something else."

This was infact DaS's biggest problem. In the beginning, she was very worried about it, and when it was finished filming, she was wondering if it turned out okay.

About her "intense" scene with JiangKouYang being cut, DaS was very unhappy but at the same time very relieved. "I has prepared myself for this scene beforehand because the script wasnt very detailed. Because of that, we held many meetings and we all prepared for the scene and in the end, it was finished in 2 shots. When it was aired in Cannes, it turned out better then i thought because we were both very natural. When i was told that it was going to be cut, i was hurt at first, but relieved too because now it wont be as awkward.

When asked if ZaiZai was present at the filming of that scene to supervise, DaS cutely said "We werent even going out yet!"

In the movie DaS changes into a dead corpse, and DaS says that the look isnt scary enough, hoping that there should have been some eyes falling out as well.

"It was my first time in a Taiwan movie so i am considered a newbie, and i get to go to Cannes with very many international stars, it was very exciting. There were many people there, making me feel like i was very small.

At the festival, many directors waved at her, and DaS says that she is now focused on dramas, but if a good script and director comes along, she will consider it.

When talking about JiangKouYang, DaS says that she praises him a lot. "Ive seen his "White Tower" many many times. When i first found out that i will be working with him i was very nervous, but he was very natural on set, he knew what he needed to do so he lead me into my character as well; he is very professional."
