di ako masyado nanonood ng MMK pero aabangan ko yung episode nina Sam at Angel. minsan nakapanood ako sa kabilang channel na serye ni Angel at Robin. medyo di ko feel ang pag-arte ni Angel. pag nagda-dialogue sila parang nagbabasa ng script or tumutula pag nagde-deliver ng linya at hindi natural ang dating. actually pag naliligaw ako sa channel na yun, parang pare-pareho silang umarte na kahit yung mga ibang artista na beterano na e mukhang ganun na din. anu yun nagkakahawaan sila. sa teaser ng MMK pansin ko parang nag-iba yung style ni Angel. kaya manonood ako sa friday para tingnan ko yung kabuuan nung episode. para sa akin, iba talaga pag nasa kapamilya . . nagiging natural ang pag-arte! :)

NAGKAROON ng reunion sina Mau Marcelo, Jan Nieto at Gian Magdangal ng Philippine Idol sa SOP nu’ng Sunday.

Nag-promote ng self-titled album ang una, ipinakilala namang newest talent ng network ang pangalawa at matagal nang mainstay ng show ang huli.

Timing ang instant reunion ng tatlo dahil sa Channel 7 na ang PI, na tatawagin nang Pinoy Idol to be directed by Louie Ignacio.

Kay Direk namin nalamang malapit na ang audition for PI dahil kung ’di January, February next year na ito iere.

Hindi mapagbibigyan ni Direk Louie ang request ng viewers for him to get away with butterflies sa set. Signature raw niya ang paru-paro at meron nito sa set ng PI.

Hindi naman alangan para sa isang katulad ni Anne ang matawag na Freeway Girl. Bukod sa napaka-successful ng kanyang career sa TV (Kampanerang Kuba, Hiram at Maging Sino Ka Man) at pelikula (Ang Cute Ng Ina Mo), napili rin siya ng isang leading fashion magazine na mapasama sa kanilang 10 Best Dressed List. At siya lang ang artista na napasama sa listahan na ‘yan.

Sa ngayon, busy si Anne sa syuting ng movie nila ni Aga Muhlach. Nagti-taping na rin siya ng soap drama niya sa ABS-CBN 2, ang The Weddings, at pati na sa Book Two ng Maging Sino Ka Man.

Boy and Kris won’t stop trying to improve morning show



The low ratings of their daily morning program, "Boy and Kris," admittedly humbled Boy Abunda. But that also keep them on their toes to continuously improve their show. No wonder they exert much more effort to make the program more interesting, upbeat and competitive, considering the high ratings of their rival show, "Sis" on GMA 7.

Boy admits they always make an effort to make "Boy and Kris" more exciting.Yes, they don’t stop trying to improve the show. Even if they get better ratings in the next show, they will never be complacent. They continue to work harder to sustain their ratings.

Yet, even if they are lagging in the numbers, Boy hardly complains. He explains he is simply not being defensive. He does not deny that ratings are very important gauge to sustain the program and attract advertisers. But he does not want to be ruled by the ratings. As a veteran host, he simply gives his best in every show without having to worry about numbers.

Boy believes there are enough viewers out there for "Boy and Kris" and "Sis" to please. Their job is to entertain. The viewers make their choice. He and Kris know where they excel and where they are weak at. They continue to complement and support each other.

He refuses to think that Kris’ popularity as TV host is waning after she left "The Buzz." For Boy, his co-host and friend remains one of the most interesting and exciting personalities on TV because she knows how to reinvent herself

Scrap this show...i suggest gawin na lang nila na parang "The View"...4 different and intellectual people debate on the current issues...especially politics... sawa na kase ako sa talkshow setup wherein they interview celebs,etc. dapat Sharon na ung gumagawa nito...

or better yet...ibalik ang kris and korina

Bagong teleserye ni Kris, Ai-Ai sa Japan kukunan

KINA Direk Jerry Sineneng at Richie del Carmen pala ipinagkatiwala ng ABS-CBN ang paghawak sa bagong teleseryeng Patayin sa Sindak si Barbara, na pagsasamahan nina Susan Roces at Kris Aquino.

Susan and Kris will play stepmom and stepdaughter, respectively. Playing the role of Susan’s only daughter is Jodi Santamaria.

Ang batang may dala ng manikang magpapasindak kay Barbara at sa mga manonood ay gagampanan ni Celine Lim, ang batang lumalabas bilang pamangkin ni Aga Muhlach sa sitcom na That’s My Doc.

Of course, this is not the first time na mag-work together sina Susan at Kris. Gumanap si Kris bilang batang Susan sa unang Mano Po ni Mother Lily Monteverde.

But this is their first time na magkasama sa isang teleserye.

Ayon kay Dolor Guevarra, talent manager ni Susan, last taping day na last Thursday ng John En Shirley, another sitcom on ABS-CBN which topbills Susan along with Dolphy and Maricel Soriano.

Its farewell episode will be aired this Saturday, Oct. 20.

“Pero walang magiging dehado sa members ng cast ng John En Shirley,” tukoy pa ni Dolor. “Almost all of them ay may bagong assignments sa ABS-CBN. “Si Susan, ito ngang Patayin … I heard na may bagong teleserye rin si Maricel kasama sina Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson at Ai-Ai de las Alas, sa Japan pa ang location.

“Of course, ito’y bukod sa may ginagawang movie si Maricel para sa MMFF, Bahay Kubo, for Regal Entertainment.

“Si Vandolph naman, ang alam ko, kasama sa cast ng Palos. Si Mitch Dulce, nasa The Wedding nina Anne Curtis at Zanjoe Marudo,” susog pa ni Dolor.

GOING back to Direks Jerry and Richie, ang alam namin, sa kanila pa rin nakatoka ang pamamahala ng isa pang teleserye ng Dos na may pamagat na Anna Lisa.

We also heard that Maja Salvador will play the title role in the said drama series.

“Walang mangyayaring conflict, kahit pa may bagong assignment sina Direk Jerry at Richie,” muling sambit ni Dolor. “Next year pa ipalalabas ang Anna Lisa, pero itong Patayin…, magsisimula na by end of October.”

Sina Direk Jerry at Richie din ang mga director ng katatapos na teleseryeng Natutulog Ba ang Diyos, na pinangunahan nina Roxanne Guinoo, Jake Cuenca at Joross Gamboa.

Sa December nga pala, we learned na tutungong U.S. si Direk Jerry para ipaopera ang pang may depekto, which is the reason why, for a while now, gumagamit siya ng crutches.

Na-off-balance yata siya habang nagwu-work-out.

Well, Direk Jerry, make sure na dito ka sa Pilipinas magsi-celebrate ng New Year, ha?

Yesterday, October 15, talent manager and TV host Lolit Solis wrote in her Pilipino Star Ngayon column that she saw two male celebrities together at the Treasure Island coffee shop located at the Sofitel Hotel in Manila. She identified the pair as Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby, adding that she caught them in a moment of sweet intimacy, exchanging whispers.

PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) was able to obtain two separate statements from a Timex representative and from a staff of Sofitel's poolside coffee shop where Manay Solis was supposed to have seen Piolo and Sam.

The staff from Treasure Island coffee shop claimed to have seen neither Piolo nor Sam during her shift from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. This contradicts Lolit's story that she saw Piolo and Sam at around 4 p.m.

Another defense came from Gemma Pagsibingan, product manager for Timex, a watch brand endorsed by Piolo. She sent Timex's statement by text message:

"Hmmm, how could that be possible? Piolo's call time for the Timex shoot was 4 p.m., but as usual, Piolo was early and came to the shoot at 3:30 p.m. at Raymund Isaac's studio in Makati. There were 20-25 people, including another Timex endorser Angel Locsin, at that time. Ang nakita naming sweet ay ang photos nina Piolo-Angel together."

Gemma added, "That's the truth. Kawawa naman si Piolo. In fact, I was worried that he came early again kasi maghihintay siya. But ganoon talaga 'yon. One shoot nga, nauna pa siya sa aming lahat. You can ask even the fotog, Raymund. Even if you ask each one in the shoot, they would say the same thing."

PEP also managed to get a statement from the camp of Manay Lolit. The feisty talent manager is standing by what she saw.

"Siguradong-sigurado ako. Nakasalamin ako, pero malinaw ang mga mata ko," said Manay Lolit to an entertainment writer when asked if she was sure it was Piolo and Sam she saw that afternoon.

"Wala namang masama kung kumain o lumabas ang dalawang lalake, kasi ginagawa rin naman 'yan nina Bong [Revilla] at Rudy [Fernandez]. Normal lang naman 'yon. Nagulat lang ako nang nagmamadali silang umalis nang marinig nilang [Piolo and Sam] tinawag ng waiter ang pangalan ko." (Bong and Rudy are Manay Lolit's wards).

Manay Lolit went on to say that the waiter of Treasure Island coffee shop even told her that Piolo and Sam are frequent visitors of the place.

Bagong teleserye ni Kris, Ai-Ai sa Japan kukunan

KINA Direk Jerry Sineneng at Richie del Carmen pala ipinagkatiwala ng ABS-CBN ang paghawak sa bagong teleseryeng Patayin sa Sindak si Barbara, na pagsasamahan nina Susan Roces at Kris Aquino.

Susan and Kris will play stepmom and stepdaughter, respectively. Playing the role of Susan’s only daughter is Jodi Santamaria.

Ang batang may dala ng manikang magpapasindak kay Barbara at sa mga manonood ay gagampanan ni Celine Lim, ang batang lumalabas bilang pamangkin ni Aga Muhlach sa sitcom na That’s My Doc.

Of course, this is not the first time na mag-work together sina Susan at Kris. Gumanap si Kris bilang batang Susan sa unang Mano Po ni Mother Lily Monteverde.

But this is their first time na magkasama sa isang teleserye.

Ayon kay Dolor Guevarra, talent manager ni Susan, last taping day na last Thursday ng John En Shirley, another sitcom on ABS-CBN which topbills Susan along with Dolphy and Maricel Soriano.

Its farewell episode will be aired this Saturday, Oct. 20.

“Pero walang magiging dehado sa members ng cast ng John En Shirley,” tukoy pa ni Dolor. “Almost all of them ay may bagong assignments sa ABS-CBN. “Si Susan, ito ngang Patayin … I heard na may bagong teleserye rin si Maricel kasama sina Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson at Ai-Ai de las Alas, sa Japan pa ang location.

“Of course, ito’y bukod sa may ginagawang movie si Maricel para sa MMFF, Bahay Kubo, for Regal Entertainment.

“Si Vandolph naman, ang alam ko, kasama sa cast ng Palos. Si Mitch Dulce, nasa The Wedding nina Anne Curtis at Zanjoe Marudo,” susog pa ni Dolor.

GOING back to Direks Jerry and Richie, ang alam namin, sa kanila pa rin nakatoka ang pamamahala ng isa pang teleserye ng Dos na may pamagat na Anna Lisa.

We also heard that Maja Salvador will play the title role in the said drama series.

“Walang mangyayaring conflict, kahit pa may bagong assignment sina Direk Jerry at Richie,” muling sambit ni Dolor. “Next year pa ipalalabas ang Anna Lisa, pero itong Patayin…, magsisimula na by end of October.”

Sina Direk Jerry at Richie din ang mga director ng katatapos na teleseryeng Natutulog Ba ang Diyos, na pinangunahan nina Roxanne Guinoo, Jake Cuenca at Joross Gamboa.

Sa December nga pala, we learned na tutungong U.S. si Direk Jerry para ipaopera ang pang may depekto, which is the reason why, for a while now, gumagamit siya ng crutches.

Na-off-balance yata siya habang nagwu-work-out.

Well, Direk Jerry, make sure na dito ka sa Pilipinas magsi-celebrate ng New Year, ha?

Yesterday, October 15, talent manager and TV host Lolit Solis wrote in her Pilipino Star Ngayon column that she saw two male celebrities together at the Treasure Island coffee shop located at the Sofitel Hotel in Manila. She identified the pair as Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby, adding that she caught them in a moment of sweet intimacy, exchanging whispers.

PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) was able to obtain two separate statements from a Timex representative and from a staff of Sofitel's poolside coffee shop where Manay Solis was supposed to have seen Piolo and Sam.

The staff from Treasure Island coffee shop claimed to have seen neither Piolo nor Sam during her shift from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. This contradicts Lolit's story that she saw Piolo and Sam at around 4 p.m.

Another defense came from Gemma Pagsibingan, product manager for Timex, a watch brand endorsed by Piolo. She sent Timex's statement by text message:

"Hmmm, how could that be possible? Piolo's call time for the Timex shoot was 4 p.m., but as usual, Piolo was early and came to the shoot at 3:30 p.m. at Raymund Isaac's studio in Makati. There were 20-25 people, including another Timex endorser Angel Locsin, at that time. Ang nakita naming sweet ay ang photos nina Piolo-Angel together."

Consolidated revenues jumped 14 percent year-on-year to P14.5 billion, aided by higher airtime revenues and sale of services.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) went up 31 percent to P4 billion.

Feeling ko lang kasi kahit sa showbiz segment sa tv patrol, it deserves some airtime. It's an unusual story since her video (of And I'm telling you ) niya ended up being in daum (which is youtube in Korea), and I guess someone from the show saw it and invited her to sing in the show. I mean that record deal w/ Sweden was reported in the Buzz so sana ito rin. Sana sa Buzz mamaya may news.

nice episode of mmk. i can't say na perfect talaga acting ni angel last night but yeah she did improve a lot. konting workshop, practice, it will surely bring her to the top. i guess she won't regret the decision she made by switching network. na attain niya naman ang goal niya.

Nakuha ko sa Pex...wow mukhang tuloy na nga ang Princess Sarah RemakeNOTED sports host Marc Nelson was bare from the waist up (he also was in short shorts) while covering the event.

His Sports Unlimited co-host, Dyan Castillejos, was in a two-piece bathing suit.

Also noticeable was the presence of Miss Earth Priscilla Meirelles (from Brazil ), na alam nating lahat ay dating ka-on ni Marc.

Sayang, dahil sa rami ng tao where the event was held, hindi namin napansin kung nag-usap man lang ba sila ni Marc o nagbatian kaya.

All of us, of course, know na si Priscilla ang current love ni John Estrada, na wala nga pala sa nabanggit na event.

Namataan din namin si Paolo Araneta, ex-boyfriend ni Anne Curtis, na hilig din pala ang pagwe-wakeboard.

No wonder na for a time, Anne was into wakeboarding as well.

Ang laki ng itinaba ni Igi Boy, anak ni Aga kay Janice de Belen. Obvious na sobra ang itinatambay nito sa kusina tuwing may masarap na iniluluto ang kanyang mommy Janice.

December pala nakatakdang manganak ang panganay na kapatid ni Aga na si Arlene, who was at the event with husband Warren and their elder daughter, who is four years old.

Joey fails to demolish Willie and ‘Wowowee’

After appearing to clone the Wowowee format, Eat...Bulaga’s Joey de Leon undertook what appeared to be a demolition job by making a scam out of a non-issue. His tirades effected Wowowee host Willie Revillame, making him absent in some shows and affecting Wilyonaryo’s credibility. This forced ABS-CBN management to scrap it altogether based on Willie’s recommendation. Quite naturally, this affected ratings as it’s a proven fact that Wowowee’s ratings slip whenever he is not hosting. Even as John Lloyd Cruz put up a herculean effort to sub, viewers expect nobody else but Willie. This worsened when no big-prize game replaced Wilyonaryo.

But since the introduction of Merry-galo and the show getting higher energy with fresh features (which Eat...Bulaga! shamelessly copies after the first hit), Wowowee is number one once more. This is the reason Willie opted to be an out-patient in connection with his ulcer and heart trouble. That’s why the buzz that Wowowee’s rating has nose-dived is stale news! In the last surveys, Wowowee registered higher. Wowowee, reveals Willie, intends to stay ahead by introducing new games with bigger prizes.

Two highs for Angel Locsin

For some reason, Angel Locsin’s first solo press conference as an ABS-CBN exclusive talent coincided with the airing of “Pilat” in Charo Santos-Concio’s drama anthology Maalaala Mo Kaya, her first appearance in a drama, at the Kapamilya network. In both activities, she excelled.

Dealing with friendly and antagonistic questions is no walk in the park. But Angel knows to smell the flowers and trample on the grass. One by one, she tackled the pointed questions of columnists associated with GMA. And she answered them directly, admitting utang na loob to the Kapuso network and setting the record straight about intrigues they have sown about her. She is clearly an intelligent person, comparable to KC Concepcion. At one point she cried, perhaps the physical manifestation of her real feelings. KC had it easy. Let’s admit it, mom Sharon Cuneta is well-loved by local entertainment media. Not the same in the case of Angel. Vested interests have made it hard for her, but she showed she’s tough to crack.

With her special appearance in “Pilat,” Angel showed she’s no longer limited to female action superstardom. She did this by coming up with a credible performance as an actor with an infinite range of emotions delivered with an honesty not seen in local television for the longest time. With minimalist movements, she fleshed out the character of a marginalized person and how she dealt with odds of her life, by being a woman: hard-working, nurturing, ready to sacrifice. This enhanced the dramatic possibilities of the slashing scene, which will go down in television history as a defining moment. With her non-acting, the viewer finds himself shedding a tear without being pushed by histrionics.

No doubt Angel’s self-determination pays off!

Breaking buzz: Angel Active, Angel’s sportswear line, will be launched on Nov. 15 and will sell initially in four SM Department stores.

Paliwanag ni Roxy, ang ‘urban Philippines’ ratings ang ipinadala niya sa amin, dahil ito na raw ang tinitingnan ng advertisers.

Araw-araw na raw nilang natatanggap ang overnight national ratings na ‘yon simula nu’ng Martes.

Reaksyon ng official ‘ratings queen’ ng TONITE na si Abu Tilamzik, ang alam niyang pinagbabasehan ng advertisers ay ang overnight Mega-Manila (Metro Manila and suburbs) ratings na inilalabas ng AGB Nielsen, dahil iba ang advertisements sa probinsya.

To be honest.... mas nasapawan ni Sam at ni Janus del Prado si Angel sa galing sa pag-arte...Angel's performance... though not so perfect at may konti pa ring flaws....ang laking departure from her usual pretty-face-not so good-acting.... the best sa akin yung scene na nakayakap siya sa post while silently crying.... doon mas kita mo ang emotion niya na natural na nagju-justify na may pinaghuhugutan ang pag arte niya (sana ma-workshop pa ng mabuti ang tamang tunog sa pag iyak niya....there are some point na parang di bagay yung tunog ng iyak niya sa situation) but overall she did a good acting from level 1 she was raised to level 5..... wag mag alala dahil lahat ng magagaling na artists ng ABS nagsisimula sa ganyan and in time she can bring out the best in her especially in being a versatile actress/performer (hosting/comedy/drama/dancing)

Nagulat din ako sa performance ni Sam, he was also good, nahasa na talaga ang acting niya. Pinanood ko kasi ulit sa youtube para sa acting naman niya ako magconcentrate. Nung Friday kasi kay Angel ako nakatutok...:)

DOLPHY NO NEW SHOW YET

DOLPHY’S show with Susan Roces and Maricel Soriano on ABS-CBN, “John en Shirley”, is being axed to give way to Cesar Montano’s “Pinoy Mano-Mano.”

Susan will be with Kris Aquino in the TV version of “Patayin Mo sa Sindak si Barbara” while Maricel will be with Ai Ai de las Alas and Kim Chiu in a new teleserye to be filmed in Japan. As for the ace comedian, he will be busy writing his autobiography, a tell-all confession according to his son Eric Quizon who will supervise this special project. Eric is leaving for the U.S. on October 26 to interview six of his 18 siblings who now live there about their dad. He will be back on November 11.

Eric is busy promoting the horror film, “Hide and Seek,” where he plays Jean Garcia’s husband who gets possessed by the evil spirit of Ryan Eigenmann. “My last film, ‘So Happy Together’, was three years ago pa kaya nasabik talaga akong umakting muli,” he says. “And I’m glad dalawa agad ang offers ng Regal kasi I’m also in ‘Bahay Kubo’ with Maricel Soriano. Happy rin akong naging comeback film ko ang ‘Hide and Seek’ dahil maganda ang pagkakagawa rito ni Direk Rahyan Carlos.

I’ve seen it sa dubbing and it’s really a well made film that succeeds in giving the viewers a good scare. I’m also impressed with the polished special effects. Haha..yan na yan ang lagi kong pinopost noon sa PEX... na sinabi ko eversince mapanood ko ang galing niya sa HIRAM...and lalo na ang galing niya sa Maging Sino Ka Man... ang sabi ko paano kung nasa GMA pa din siya mae- elevate ba sa ganyang status ang acting career ni Anne? na sa GMA ang laging ganap at binibigay na role sa kanya .. ay maarte na balikbayan na inglesera at pilipit ang dila sa pagtatagalog (again and again and again)....then biglang nagulat ako sa dating niya sa Hiram then as every project na ibinibigay sa kanya ng ABS..she kept on surprising me on how great she is now compared before... (she irritates me actually sa mga ganap niya sa GMA teen oriented shows) then MSKM bring out the best in her.... astig talaga ng MSKM no? lahat sila even the supporting casts.... from Chin Chin (bow ako sa galing nya as Donya Corazon, Irma Adlawan, Christopher de Leon, and the demonic Mang Oca... even Smokey is effective in his role especially the scene when he was in the mental institution and he's speaking to Eli and handed him a leaf -waaah astig sa pag atake ng scene plus the medyo yellowish yung dating ng screen ..napoansin nyo ba un... parang di siya ordinary na glossy at napakatingkad ng mga kulay... almost cinematic yung dating...waah and sa iba pang mga cast.. even Keanna justified her role in the series...

naku di ko napannod Pedro penduko last saturday..di ko matandaan kung ano ginawa ko nun...this saturday finale nya manonood ako.
Wala sana akong planong manood pero ang mga tao sa bahay sigaw ng sigaw, kayat naaliw ako sa panonood. Matagal na kasing di ko ito naaabangan dahil sa LOST Encore Run. Pero this Saturday sana makaabot ng 30's kasi umabot ito ng 22'% sa Mega last Sat. ;)

Raging its way to the top spot in the daytime category, Pedro Penduko gathered a 22.7 percent rating to overtake Eat Bulaga, which after a long while found itself tied with archrival Wowowee. Both noontime shows shared a 20.8 percent rating to occupy the second spot.
