FIESTA tayo ngayon. Seriously, ang laki na ng improvement sa shows natin from morning until evening. Hindi ko nga alam kung matatawa ako o maiiyak sa rating ng Kapamilya Cinema sa hapon. Ang taas ng ratings samantalang dati ay maraming nagrereklamo kung bakit di na lang tanggalin yung KC at Pasion De Amor nun. Sana naman may kapalit na bagong Spanish telenovela yung Pasion De Amor. Huwag na lang nilang gawin yung dati na 3 magkakasunud-sunod na latin novela. Tama na yung isang mexican telenovela back-2-back with My Girl rewind. Maganda talaga yung vibes ko na hanggang matapos ang 2006 ay maganda na ang magiging takbo ng ratings natin basta huwag lang silang gagawa ng mga wrong decisions. Of course, maraming mangyayari sa 2007. Kung hindi magbabago yung plans daw nila, baka sa summer of 2007 or before summer ipalabas yung Lastikman ni Vhong Navarro.

Willie: Walang Hiwalayan


Punabulaanan ni Willie Revillame ang tsimis na nagkahiwalay na raw sila ng kanyang asawa na si Liz Almoro. Ang isyu ay kumalat habang si Willie ay nasa Las Vegas at nagsho-show doon ng “Wowowee.”

Ayon sa chika, kaya raw hindi bumalik kaagad sa Pinas si Wiillie pagkatapos ng show ng “Wowowee” sa Las Vegas ay upang sandaling makawala sa kalungkutan dulot ng paghihiwalay daw nila ni Liz. Isa pang nag-udyok sa hiwalayan tsismis ay ang pag-uwi ni Liz sa bahay ng kanyang mga magulang habang si Willie ay nasa Las Vegas.

Maraming umusbong na dahilan kung bakit daw naghiwalay sina Willie at Liz. Isa na dito ay kesyo daw hindi na matiis ni Liz ang pananakit sa kanya ni Willie kaya ito nag-alsa balutan at umuwi sa bahay ng kanyang mga magulang.

Mas minabuti ni Willie na huwag nang sagutin punto por punto ang mga isyu tungkol sa relasyon nilang mag-asawa. Pinayuhan na rin ni Willie si Liz at ang kanyang biyenan na huwag na lang pansinin ang mga naglalabasang tismis.

Si Liz naman ay nagtataka kung bakit naglalabasan ang isyu na nilayasan na niya si Willie. Ayon daw kay Liz ay sa bahay nila ni Willie sa Ayala Heights pa rin sila nakatira ng kanyang anak. Minsan daw ay pumupunta siya sa bahay ng kanyang mga magulang kapag nalulungkot siya dahil wala nga si Willie at nasa Las Vegas ng mga panahon na ‘yon.

Nang bumalik si Willie sa Pinas mula sa show niya sa Las Vegas ay kaagad niyang sinundo ang kanyang mag-ina sa bahay ng kanyang biyenan. Patunay lang na walang problema sa kanilang dalawa ni Liz. Kung nag-aaway man sila paminsan-minsan ay natural lang naman daw iyon sa mag-asawa. Kaya’t hiling ni Willie ay tigilan na ang paninira sa relasyon nila ni Liz.

HAJIWOn has one Korean Teledrama that will be shown over in Korean this OCtober 11, I jsut do hope ABS-SBN will take the opportunity to purchase it and view it over Channel 2.. since they were the one responsible to star HAJIWOn over BALi.. I think they can give justice of showing Hwang-jini over the network.. I saw already the still pictures from the looks of it.. the series itself was really inviting.. I am really when it will be sold out.. I will find a way to purchase a copy of it..

right now it is being promotted in the walls of CANNES displaying the still pictures of HAJIWOn taken from the tele drama series HWANG-JINI as the well known CHOSUN Entertainer with full of skills by that time..
If you want to view the still pictures get into SOOMPI Forum and browse the topic on KBS Hawang Ji-ni but if I can capture some pics.. I will do it.

Masayang-masaya si Maja Salvador nang ipagdiwang ang 18th birthday kahapon. ’Di siya nagkaroon ng en grandeng debut party, pero just the same, nagpa-party din siya with several friends sa Gazebo Royale, Visayas Avenue Extension, Quezon City.

Kung inyong matatandaan, dito rin idinaos ang pre-wedding party nina Raymart at ClaudineSantiago bago nag-isang dibdib sa Tagaytay Highlands March nu’ng nakaraang taon.

Kaya walang specific partner si Maja sa party kagabi, it’s not a formal party daw kasi. Pangalawa, wala naman daw siyang boyfriend.

Pero siniguro ni Maja na kasama ang tatlong male co-stars niya sa First Day High — Geoff Eigenmann, Gerald Anderson at Jason Abalos — sa selebrasyon. Of course, naroroon din si Kim Chiu, Maja’s fellow leading lady sa nasabing pelikula.

“Para na rin kasing selebrasyon ang party ko ng box-office success ng First Day High,” tukoy pa ng dalaga. “Mantakin mo, despite the devastation Typhoon Milenyo left sa maraming parte ng Luzon, kumita ang First Day High ng P38 million sa loob ng limang araw na showing in 100 theaters.

Bakbakan tampok sa bagong reality TV show ng ABS-CBN


Isang klase ng bakbakan ang handog ng pinakabagong reality-TV drama sa ABS-CBN, ang "Real Pinoy Fighter."

Pagsasamahin dito ang wrestling, judo, kick boxing, muay Thai, boxing at maging street fighting na kung tawagin ay mixed martial arts.

Labing-apat na mga fighter ang dadaan sa training, pagsubok at one-on-one elimination fights para mapatunayan kung sino ang matitirang pinakamagaling na fighter.

His decision to leave the Philippines and migrate to Australia with his family—wife Lydia, daughters Erica and Ala and son Mio—took a lot of people by surprise. But it was an even bigger surprise when just a few short months later, rumours started floating...

about that Jim Paredes of APO Hiking Society fame was coming back to assume the role of Headmaster of Pinoy Dream Academy, the reality-based talent search developed by ABS-CBN in cooperation with the Dutch production company Endemol, the same outfit behind Pinoy Big Brother and Kapamilya Deal or No Deal.

According to Jim, when the job as Headmaster of Pinoy Dream Academy was offered to him, he turned it down, saying he didn't like reality shows because he found them “exploitative and voyeuristic”. But PDA director Lauren Dyogi, who also directed Pinoy Big Brother and with whom Jim had worked when he was still doing Tatak Pilipino, convinced him to accept the offer by appealing to the mentor in Jim.

“He told me, 'You're going to be working with 16 artists, and you're going to be responsible for their training.' That's when I started thinking seriously about it. I said, 'I'll teach them all the right values, and the right attitudes needed to be called true artists.' Whether they make it in the industry or not, at least they'll come out of the experience equipped with the tools they need to do a good job no matter where they end up,” says Jim.

Jim, who used to teach Creativity classes at the Ateneo before his move to Australia, says that he loves being a mentor and a teacher. That was his prime consideration for accepting the job. He missed teaching, and PDA gave him an opportunity to do it again, albeit with the entire Philippines watching.

As PDA Headmaster, Jim—who's had more than 30 years of experience as a singer, songwriter and musician—is given the opportunity to impart his knowledge to the next generation of artists.

He has what he calls the “Five Rules”. These are: 1) Show up—you can't do a job if you don't; 2) Just do it; 3) Always pay attention; 4) Be real, and 5) Just keep doing it.

These rules may sound very simple, but many artists have a problem following them. As PDA Headmaster, it is Jim's job to teach these rules to the PDA scholars and that way, to make sure that these future artists start their careers on the right foot.

Sam at Luis, 'Unahan' sa bagong bahay ni Toni?

Brand new cars aren’t the sign of success for new and young stars. The standard has steeped up somewhat as new stars dream to have new houses – homes for themselves and their loved ones.

Of course, we know that Jennylyn Mercado, Mark Herras and Angel Locsin are now living in new houses which their stardom and industry have made possible.

Even Joross Gamboa now stays with his family in the house bought in BF Homes Parañaque.

Two stars, both in their early 20’s and who seem to be working everyday on TV (ABS-CBN) and film, are now going through the travails of having their "dream house" constructed. Now they go through a long wait.

As any realtor would agree, it’s easier to pick up a house to buy than to have a new one constructed to your desired specifications.

Early this year, Toni Gonzaga together with her parents (Carlitos and Pinty) started construction of the house whose specifications for their needs they made at Ridgemont Village in Taytay (Rizal).

It is in Taytay where the Gonzaga family home is, where Toni herself is a Kagawad.

At Ridgemont, Toni’s house is being constructed on three contiguous lots with a total are of 600 sq. meters.

Earlier, the Gonzagas were hoping they could transfer to the new house Toni has for them in August. But at present, they are still staying at their old family home – with work on the interiors of the new house still going on.

As Mommy Pinty puts it: "Ang pinturang ginamit namin really needs time. Kaya sa pagpipinta pa lang, na-delay na ang timetable namin."

Toni hopes that their new house would be ready for them in late October.

Even Mommy Pinty jokes that her daughter Toni "ay hindi pa nagpapaakyat ng ligaw. Baka gusto na niyang magpaakyat ng ligaw, si Sam (Milby) man o si Luis (Manzano) sa bagong bahay."

Toni’s house has six rooms with another room they convert into an office.

The servants quarters are in the backyard separate from the house.

The Gonzagas are a family of four with Toni’s younger sister Cathy, who is also in showbiz too (in Let’s Go).

How John Lloyd & Bea sustain the ‘mystery’

Vilma Santos and Christopher de Leon. Dingdong Dantes and Iza Calzado. Toni Gonzaga and Sam Milby. They’re popular loveteams all. But not a single one of them are sweethearts in real life. And yet, why do their movies spell box-office success? Why do moviegoers want to see them hold hands, embrace and kiss on screen over and over?

"The mystery is gone when the love team becomes real," explains John Lloyd Cruz, himself the other half of a love team that has topbilled eight projects – four movies and four soaps (the latest of which is ABS-CBN’s Maging Sino Ka Man, which premiered last Friday).

Bea Alonzo, his perennial leading lady, says John Lloyd couldn’t have been more right. In fact, she calls the absence of real-life romance between them the "secret ingredient" behind their success as a loveteam.

"That’s why our partnership has lasted this long," she says.

No, he never tried to court her, nor even gave so much as a hint that he wanted to get lovey dovey with her beyond the camera.

That’s just fine with Bea, thank you. This way, they won’t feel awkward in their sweet moments on screen.

So comfortable is Bea with John Lloyd she didn’t balk when she had to show a little more skin and do an intimate scene with him in a nipa hut.

As Jackie, who has everything money can buy but is still looking for that missing piece in her life, Bea finds solace in Eli (John Lloyd), the tough, poor but principled Tondo guy she falls in love with.

"This is my most mature role so far. I wouldn’t have done what I did if my leading man was some other guy. That’s because I trust John Lloyd completely," Bea reveals.

So at home are they with each other, Bea knew John Lloyd was going steady with model-designer Liz Uy even before he made a clean breast of it in public.

But while John Lloyd is mum about his non-showbiz girlfriend, and refuses to compare her with his ex-girlfriends like Ciara Sotto, Bea is the opposite when it comes to Miko Palanca, said to be an ardent suitor.

Looks like Bernard Palanca’s kid brother has taken a hold in Bea’s heart. They’re just friends, Bea insists, although she finds in Miko all the qualities she is looking for in a guy.

Problem is, she can’t make heads or tails about the sincerity of his intentions, since Miko hasn’t talked with her for a month now.

"I don’t know if he’s involved with other girls or not," explains Bea.

That’s why she’d rather remain noncommittal when people quiz Bea about the real score between her and Miko. They’re friends, period.

Anne Curtis goes daring in new teleserye

Everyone has known, for the longest time, that Anne Curtis is no longer a little girl, physically or emotionally. But even those who've followed Anne's transition from young star to adult actress will be surprised by her portrayal in ABS-CBN's newest teledrama,

Maging Sino Ka Man, which is also the title of a hit by singer-songwriter Rey Valera.

Anne's co-stars are Sam Milby and the loveteam of John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo. They are supported by a stellar cast of veteran actors and actresses, including Christopher de Leon, who is starring in his first-ever teleserye forABS-CBN.

In the series, Anne plays Celine Magsaysay, who is described as a “woman of the world”, with a strong personality. In the teaser for the series, shown during Maging Sino Ka Man's recent Press conference, Anne's character is shown partying and telling a friend, “I live to party, and I party to live!”

It's not only the emotional development of the character that's changed. There are physical changes too—for instance, this show will be the first time that Anne will don a two-piece swimsuit on primetime television. Also for the first time, she will be doing what her directors FM Reyes and Mae Cruz describe as 'delicate scenes'.

Anne says it's about time that she grow up onscreen, especially since she's already 21 years old in real life. “I can't be playing 'cute' roles anymore,” says the actress, whose last project was the fantasy series Kampanerang Kuba. “Here, there's none of that anymore. People will really see a different Anne here.”

Katwiran ni Ethel, kung saang istasyon may offer sa kanya ay doon siya.

Natuwa ang hitad nang maitampok siya kamakailan sa isang drama-comedy episode ng MMK na si Joel Lamangan ang nagdirek.

Itinanggi ni Ethel na papasok siya sa Wowowee. Tila malabo raw ‘yon dahil kumpleto na ang tropa ni Willie Revillame.

Tinawanan din niya ‘yung tsismis na iniuugnay siya sa diumano’y hiwalayan ng mag-asawang Willie at Liz Almoro.

Samantala, patuloy sa pagti-take ng mga gamot si Ethel para sa kanyang sakit sa ovary. Aniya, kailangan nilang makagawa ng baby ni Alex Crisano as soon as possible hangga’t pwede pa siyang magbuntis.

Kapag nagpaopera kasi siya ay malaki ang posibilidad na hindi na siya magkaanak kaya gusto niyang magka-baby na sila ni Alex.

Magtu-29 y/o na siya kaya worried siya na baka hindi na niya kayanin kung hindi pa siya magbubuntis ngayon.

Kasama si Ethel Booba sa Mano Po 5: Gua Ai Di bilang mayordoma sa bahay ng bidang si Angel Locsin. Pakialamera at feeling amo raw ang role niya kaya nakakatawa.

I ahve been one of the ardent followers of Korean teledram.. HAJIWOn has one Korean Teledrama that will be shown over in Korean this OCtober 11, I jsut do hope ABS-SBN will take the opportunity to purchase it and view it over Channel 2.. since they were the one responsible to star HAJIWOn over BALi.. I think they can give justice of showing Hwang-jini over the network.. I saw already the still pictures from the looks of it.. the series itself was really inviting.. I am really when it will be sold out.. I will find a way to purchase a copy of it..

right now it is being promotted in the walls of CANNES displaying the still pictures of HAJIWOn taken from the tele drama series HWANG-JINI as the well known CHOSUN Entertainer with full of skills by that time..
If you want to view the still pictures get into SOOMPI Forum and browse the topic on KBS Hawang Ji-ni but if I can capture some pics.. I will do it.

HINDI lang pala si Carlo Aquino ang ABS-CBN talent na kasama sa cast ng Humalik Ka sa Lupa. Isang magaling na actor ng network ang nakuha ng TAPE, Inc. para gumanap sa very important role at kinilala na rin sa Asian TV Awards ang husay niya.

Kahit walang regular show, talent pa rin ng Dos ang tinutukoy namin.

Excited na ang Channel 7 talents na sina Oyo Boy Sotto, JC de Vera, Sugar Mercado at LJ Reyes na makatrabaho ang actor.

Si LJ nga, na-starstruck nang makita siya sa pictorial last Saturday.

Next week pa ang ibinigay na go signal ni Malou Choa-Fagar para pangalanan ang actor na ito, na ngayon lang magkakaroon ng regular TV show sa Siyete.

Kasama rin sa cast sina Celia Rodriguez, Tanya Garcia (batang Celia), Goyong, Janet McBride at Ana Roces.

Sa October 17 na ang start ng taping at November 9 ang pilot.

I guess the correct way to say is that we have made passed the greatest challenge for the past two years because we are now statistically tied with GMA. With the trend that is going on with the ratings, we can say that the fourth quarter of this year will be the transition period for us to take the lead.

Hello mga Kapamilya! I am very glad na maganda ratings natin ngayon. Lumamang man sila pero sobrang konti na lang. E sa ganda ba naman ng mga shows natin ngayon hindi mo na talaga gugustuhing maglipat ng channel at manood ng walang katapusang fantaserye at boring na live at variety shows. Hehe. No offense po sa mga Kapuso dyan. :)

Willie Revillame finds his real home

Organizers of the remote broadcast of Wowowee hosted by Willie Revillame last Saturday, Oct. 7, at the East Gate Center, San Fernando, Pampanga expected a low turnout, the province being a Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo country. True to Wowowee’s non-sectarian character, audience estimate stood at 50,000 at 11:30 a.m. on show day, ballooning by 20,000 more when it started at 12:30 p.m. Kapampangans and natives of adjacent provinces such as Zambales, Tarlac, Bataan and Pangasinan trooped to the hard-to-access subdivision to celebrate Wowowee’s universality and pro-people leaning.


At the heart of the successful broadcast was host Willie Revillame. Having been ejected from the townhouse he bought with clean and hard-earned money, he also had to comply with the temporary protection order Liz Almoro got upon filing for marriage annulment last Wednesday. Willie drastically changed mood upon being informed that the The Buzz detailed his break-up with Liz two Mondays ago, leading to the public display of emotion. This led him to declare that he’s thinking of resigning from the show.

Like a real trooper, Willie returned to the show the following noon, apologizing, “Maraming salamat po sa inyo. Ngayon ko napatunayan na kayo ang tunay kong kapamilya. Pasensiya na po kayo sa akin kahapon. Actually, ‘yung kahapon, isa sa mataas ang ratings! Kaya enjoy na tayo ngayon!” He had a private meeting with Gabby Lopez III and Charo Santos Concio the previous night, with the two ABS-CBN top executives assuring him of the network’s support.

As usual, Willie was in top form and in his element, ready to make the show fly in the Pampanga show. He knew his agenda: to bring fun and hope. While doing the show, he remained focused and never vacillated, showing his genuine soft spot for the old and the poor. This is the strength of Wowowee with the audience. It gives away real prizes that are easy to win and the process fun.

And the show flew. How high? Nobody knows. A peak cannot be measured, right?

During the show’s stretch, Willie was full of energy, the rah-rah boy of inspiration and aspiration, making sure that everybody in the audience got his fair share. But this is no small work for Willie. When TVCs air, for example, he’s organizing the show’s segments for better effect. He’s concerned about how the show will be perceived by viewers. For example, he arranged the television sets donated by Pampanga’s Best for better presentation with their recipients, the Biga-ten participants. Such care could only come from the heart.

There’s no doubt Willie has found his real home in the households of Wowowee viewers throughout the world. This was one of the things he told me upon his arrival from the Las Vegas show, that his family will be the Wowowee viewers from then on. He said, “Wowowee viewers na ang kapamilya ko. Alam kong mahal nila ako.” Willie knows that they have proven they will support as they have continuedly shown despite the ups and downs in his professional and personal lives. What does the bible say about loving without qualification? Well, love oozes from Willie’s heart!

For another time, Willie shows that he’s a real personification of the underdog who will bounce as a winner no matter what. Through this way, he shows the resiliency of the Pinoy spirit, what makes us winners despite the ills that press us without letup.

TV ratings in question

We received word about ratings being circulated via SMS or text on cellphones. And no one is able to pinpoint the source. But apparently it is someone from the Kapamilya network as the rating figures point to ABS-CBN taking the lead on the primetime block on Oct. 3 and 4.

However, GMA executives are disputing the claim, saying that AGB Nielsen is able to provide the ratings only until Oct. 4, and they have not been informed about the ratings on Oct. 4.

So, is AGB Nielsen becoming partial to one network in this race between ABS-CBN and GMA Network for industry leadership?

Or, asks someone partial to GMA, “Is it also possible that the Oct. 4 ratings are simply fictitious and are meant to deceive?

The Oct. 3 overnight ratings data for Mega Manila from AGB Nielsen clearly contradict ABS-CBN’s claim that all its primetime programs—from TV Patrol to Pinoy Dream Academy—beat their GMA rivals. Though some of its programs indeed got the better of their GMA counterparts due to their abnormal cable ratings, it was nowhere near a sweep by the Kapamilya programs.

So, should we still believe the figures provided to the networks by AGB Nielsen?
