Wang Li-Hong's (Leehom Wang) "Heroes of Earth Hong Kong Concert" began last night. His concert attracted many other artists, such as Yip Tak-Lan (Deanie Ip), Lee Choi-Wah (Rain Li), Yim Cheng, and many others. However, Leehom's rumored girlfriends Shu Qi and Zhang Hui-Mei (Amei Cheung) were no where in sight. That night Leehom wore a long golden qipao and appeared at the roof of the stadium and descended. He sang a chain of fast songs and on stage there were dragons dancings and fireworks shooting. Leehom showed his flag skills and danced to the music. Somewhere in the middle he also showed off some of his kung fu skills! All his fans could do was scream, scream, and scream!

The sweaty Leehom finally took of his long qipao, revealed his white sleeveless shirt and began dancing and singing to fast music. He also went off stage many times to shake hands with his fans. He said loudly in Mandarin, "Hong Kong friends I am back!" After that he said in Cantonese, "I missed you guys so much! You guys grew a lot. Did I grow?"

LEEHOM WANG TAKES OFF HIS CLOTHES AT CONCERT

Wang Li-Hong (Leehom Wang) is currently holding his "Heroes of Earth Concert" in Hong Kong. Yesterday night was the first night of Leehom's two-night concert and the Red Coliseum were packed with people. Leehom appeared wearing a glistening and golden qipao and he also danced with a dragon-embedded flag along with dancing dragons. He also showed off some of his kung fu skills that he had been practicing for a long time. The lighting, the fireworks, the dancers made the environment extremely high and a very unforgettable night.

Leehom later took off his qipao and revealed a sleeveless white shirt, making his fans scream to the top of their lungs. He immediately went off-stage and shook hands with his fans. He also played the electric guitar and said in Cantonese, "I missed you guys so much! Since my first concert till now, you guys have grown so much!"

This concert attracted many other artists, such as Yip Tak-Lan (Deanie Ip), Sit Ka-Yin (Nancy Sit), Lee Choi-Wah (Rain Li) and her brother, etc. Deanie Ip was also very concentrated at watching the concert. Not only did she stand up, but she also screamed and cried "Excellent" throughout the whole concert, making her no different from other young fan girls of Leehom. Also, last night's guest performer was Cheung Hok-Yau (Jacky Cheung). Jacky is Leehom's idol. How can Leehom forget to invite him to attend his Hong Kong concert?

Wang Li-Hong's (Leehom Wang) "Heroes of Earth" World Tour concert was held in Hong Kong's Coliseum for two nights on Friday and Saturday. All tickets were sold out for both nights. Many celebrities also attended, including Fung Tak-Lun (Stephen Fung), Shu Qi, Sit Ka-Yin (Nancy Sit), Wang Ming-Chuen (Liza Wang), Yi Tak-Lan (Deanie Ip), Sit Hoi-Kei (Fiona Sit), Fong Jo-Ming (Jaycee Fong) and more. At the concert, Leehom's warm fans continuously tried to touch his hand and would not let go. One of the security guards quickly ran beside Leehom and tried to pull Leehom away from his fans, but Leehom thought the security was a fan and accidently shook his hand. After the incident Leehom laughed and said that he was really "crazy and stupid." On the second night of the concert, the Oscar Award Winner Directly Li An (Ang Lee) also attended to the concert to support Leehom, becoming another focal point at the concert.

Leehom said, he had invited all friends but did not see where Shu Qi sat at the Coliseum. Before the concert he shook hands with Ang Lee and said, "It seems as if he transferred all of The Hulk's power to me." After that he immediately told himself that he will try his best to make the concert the best performance Hong Kong will ever have in 2006. Ang Lee never left the concert and remained in his seat from the beginning to the end. He did not leave until Leehom finished singing his signature song, "Wei Yi (The One and Only)." Not only did Ang Lee not move in his seat, he also smiled and bopped his head to the music like any other fan of Leehom's! Lately, Leehom has been staying in Hong Kong for Ang Lee's new movie, "Se, Jie (Lust, Caution)." He often hangs out with Ang Lee by playing table tennis and badminton. Leehom laughed and said, "I never thought a director is that good at sports. I lost to him several times." Leehom believes that playing different types of sports is a big help for controlling his voice and his physical strength for the concert.

Leehom also praised that Ang Lee is a musical genius as well. Leehom disclosed that during their acting lessons, Ang Lee will ask them to sing together. Ang Lee also faked Leehom's hip hop style and sang the words "Gai Shi Yi Xiong Dao Lai" like Leehom. Leehom does not believe that the lessons were hard. Instead, Leehom really enjoyed the acting lessons and said that he learned a lot. He strongly praised that Ang Lee really focuses on his work and is a man with inner mind and beauty.

"Lust, Caution" will officially begin filming in September. Besides agreeing to perform in this production, Leehom also began planning his world tour concert in Singapore on October 21st. After completing several world tours - Taipei, Shanghai, and recently in Hong Kong's Coliseum, as well as cancelling his future performances in China, he said that he can finally completely focus on his character in the new film, "Kuang Yu-Min." Starting November the entire cast will also be present in Shanghai for filming. Leehom almost entirely planned the rest of the year for the filming. He said he might not even manage to release a new album in the end of the year, but he smiled and said he will try his best.

When asked if Leehom had any worries for his character in the new movie, Leehom laughed and said, "Kuang Yu-Min can't sing hip hop!"

Two nights ago in the concert Wu Jian-Hao (Vanness Wu) was the guest performer and appeared while Leehom was playing the drums. Vanness appearing as guest was entirely under an invitation and without any reward. He also purposely cut a new hairstyle just for the performance. He and Leehom sang a very dancy version of "Long De Chuan Ren (Descendents of the Dragon)" causing the fans to scream loudly. Leehom also joked and said he was the fifth member of "F5." Vanness also sang a solo in his new album that will be released in November called "Ling Shi Cha (Zero-Time Difference)."

In the afterparty, Leehom discovered that he had several bruised spots on his arms and some scratches on his hands that were caused from his fans. Leehom laughed and said, "They're all bruises" in Taiwanese (Hokkien).

The two nights of Leehom's "Heroes of Earth Hong Kong Concert" completed with huge success and Leehom was very proud and happy throughout the whole afterparty. During the afterparty Leehom were eating chicken wings after chicken wings, and also happy and frankly replied nicely to the reporters saying that he did not know where Ang Lee sat in the concert. "But it seems as if Ang Lee was exerting some kind of power out and it gave me so much confidence during the performance, making me perform much better than before!" Good friend and rumored girlfriend Shu Qi also gave Leehom flowers and also attended to his concert. When asked Leehom lightly said, "I invited all my good friends."

Before the concert, Ang Lee stepped in Leehom's resting room and said, "Go! Get them!" All Leehom can do is smile and make the concert a night to never forget.

Leehom's character in Ang Lee's new film, Kuang Yu-Min, is a patriotic young scholar. Therefore Ang Lee required Leehom to read Chinese proverbs, memorize poems, and also participate in many sports for his physical appearance. Leehom also played against Ang Lee and Leung Chiu-Wai (Tony Leung), battling them in table tennis and badminton. Leehom laughed and said Ang Lee is very sporty, he lost to him while playing.

Leehom will officially begin filming this new movie in Penang, Malaysia in September 2nd. Other stops are also Shanghai and Hong Kong.

Leehom Wang appeared in a long, shiny golden qipao at the beginning of the concert and also danced with a dragon-embedded flag and dragon dancers. Fireworks also exploded while he performed "Gai Shi Ying Xiong/Koi Sai Yeng Hung (Heroes of Earth)" and the environment was extremely high and exciting. After a while, Leehom requested a couple from the audience to come on stage so they can sing "Kiss Goodbye" together. Besides, Fiona Sit and Jaycee Fong also individually attended the concert, sat in different spots, but later met up after the concert and had a long chat. When Fiona left at around 10:35, Jaycee also followed her and left, and the two secretly met up in the concert and had a chat. After 20 minutes Jaycee left. After that Fiona and a female friend quietly walked away. Fiona frankly said that she did invite Jaycee for the show. LEEHOM SINGS TO SHU QI ON STAGE - "FOREVER LOVE"

Wang Li Hong (Leehom Wang) finally completed his two night "Heroes of Earth Hong Kong Concert" on Saturday night. Rumored girlfriend Shu Qi also attended the concert openly. Before the concert she quickly ran in the Coliseum to her seat, and during the concert she constantly stood up from her spot, singing and dancing along with the music. Her appearance was extremely happy and warming. When Leehom reappeared with a style of "Bai Ma Wang Zi (Prince Charming)" clothing, he often sang in Shu Qi's direction, singing the powerful ballad "Forever Love." The environment was extremely warming and touching. This may have happened, but when Leehom was listing the many friends he invited, he purposely did not say Shu Qi's name.

During a meeting for the upcoming film, "Confession of Pain", the film company dragged all of the artists that were part of the production for the press to do quick interviews with them. Out of the four main characters, only Leung Chiu-Wai (Tony Leung), Shu Qi, and Xu Jing-Lei showed up. Takeshi Kaneshiro, unfortunately, was no where to be seen, causing everyone to be quite disappointed.

Earlier, Shu Qi requested for a short vacation from her company so she could go to the Hong Kong Coliseum to see Wang Li-Hong's (Leehom Wang) performance. This allowed the press to stir up, believing that something was really going on between the two. Shu Qi told the press that she thought this relationship was stupid and boring.

Entertainer Shu Qi: "I really think this is stupid and boring. He's my friend and reasonably I will go to his concert to support him. Our relationship is nothing like how the newspaper wrote it. Wow, you guys have great imagination."

"LUST, CAUTION" OFFICIALLY BEGINS FILMING, MALAYSIA STREETS BLOCKED
Saturday September 2, 2006 Malaysia

Oscar-winning director Li An (Ang Lee) yesterday flew to Malaysia to prepare for his new film, "Se, Jie (Lust, Caution)." The Malaysian government not only invited him with much warmness, they also agreed to block the streets for the filming process for the convenience of Ang Lee. The police and fireman were also contacted, combining forces to cooperate with Ang Lee.

For the scenery of "Lust, Caution", Malaysia will be used as the 1930's Hong Kong. Male and female leads Leung Chiu-Wai (Tony Leung), Wang Li-Hong (Leehom Wang), and Tang Wei will also soon begin filming there. They estimated that they will stay in Malaysia for about ten days, and then they will fly to Hong Kong and Shanghai for other scenary. Earlier Leehom was also sent to Hong Kong for some training. He will plan to fly to Malaysia next week for filming.

According to sources, "Lust, Caution" will begin filming today. Ang Lee was the first to arrive at Malaysia to prepare for the production. According to the "Guang Ming Ri Bao" (Malaysian Newspaper), the government was already aware of this film and earlier on last Monday they already blocked the streets for the production just for the producers' convenience.

The Malaysian government also sent in police and fireman for support just in case to prevent the people from ruining the production to see their idols. However, the blocked streets for "Lust, Caution" is not really where the crew will film, and they will also not film everyday. Oscar-winning director, Li An (Ang Lee) currently has a new production to film. This new film, entitled "Se, Jie (Lust, Caution)" has already begun filming yesterday in Malaysia, and will continue to do so for the next week until the 10th. They will film the production in Penang and Ipoh for several days.

On September 1st, Ang Lee brought Leung Chiu-Wai (Tony Leung), Wang Li-Hong (Leehom Wang), and Tang Wei to Malaysia to begin the new film "Lust, Caution." Zhen Anshou Road in Ipoh, which was one of the streets that were chosen for filming, had already completed the scene arrangements in an old store. This old store was originally an old room where no one will even take a glance at, but now it has transformed into a simple store back in pre-modern China. Not only did its appearance changed, the crew also added many more accessories. It was a completely different makeover for the store, and many people that would walk by would stop and use their phone to snap a picture.

Because the 31st is Malaysia's National Holiday, many of the old streets in Ipoh will be blocked for a National parade. Some of the streets were also the streets Ang Lee would soon film in, so therefore currently they are constantly finishing their scenery work before the big day.

The governement is extremely careful about Ang Lee's expectation of the film so they contacted the Ipoh police, fireman, and ambulance for the producers' convenience to confirm that the filming process will go by smoothly.

The government is also really proud of Ang Lee's arrival. The media said that they will not interfere with the production. They said, "Ang Lee is coming to Ipoh for filming. Soon, Ipoh will be more well known around the world after "Lust, Caution" will do their worldwide promotion. It will be stupid to interfere."

Currently, "Lust, Caution" are hiring extras for the film. They are hiring people to play salesmans, prostitutes, etc. They will also need to make up some of their lines.

A model in Kuala Lumpur, Kang Rui-Fang (25 years) said that in the interviewing room there were only two female interviewers and a camera. She had to face the camera and introduce herself. The interviewers then took out a fragrant tobacco and a handbag, telling her to play a prostitute. "They gave me a fragrant tobacco and I would be in the streets, pretending to be a prostitute that is pulling in men into the prostitute house. The next minute, they give me a handbag to be a salesman and told me to pretend to be selling the bag to them."

Another person from Kuala Lumpur, Zhu Zhi-Min (24 years), is currently a student of an acting class. He once played a small role in a Malaysia Telivision show. "This time, an international movie is filming in this country and is also trying to hire extras. This is a very rare and great chance for me, so me and my friends went to Ipoh first thing in the morning for the interview."

Recently, "Shi Jie" Li Wen (Coco Lee) and "Shi Di" Wang Li-Hong (Leehom Wang) were rumored for not getting along with each other. To dispose this rumor, Coco openly expressed that she really wanted Leehom to write a song for her. Sadly she ended up kicking a hard piece of metal, touching Leehom's "cold butt" with a hot face!

RUMORED "BROTHER & SISTER" IN A FIGHT

Both Coco Lee and Leehom Wang are singers from the same SonyBMG family. Earlier on Coco and Leehom were rumored to be going out, but later on they were rumored to have broken up and are going on seperate roads. They were also rumored of being cold toward each other after the break up. Earlier on in April 8th, SonyBMG decided to gather all of their singers in Taiwan to have a concert in Taipei's Arena. However, in Xu Ruo-Xuan's (Vivan Hsu) new album "Mei Ren Yu (Mermaid)", it contained one new song composed by Leehom called "Yin Wei Ni (Because of You)." Xu Yu-Qin immediately explained that Leehom has been busy with his concerts since April. That song written for Vivian was already finished in March. Leehom also confirmed that after he accepted Ang Lee's new film, he had not written any new songs for anyone.

Taiwanese singer Jiang Mingxue created a scandal recently when he alleged that Wang Lee Hom underwent plastic surgery on his Chin.

When reporters asked Leehom if he had recently changed his appearance, Leehom appeared confused and replied, “Maybe I got fatter?”

Reporters then reworded the question. “Did you have surgery on your chin?”

Leehom answered with amused smile on his face, this is the first time he's gotten such type of accusation. “No, this is 100% Wang family property.” Then he added with a laugh, “Of all places, isn't having surgery on my chin kind of random? Wouldn’t it make more sense if I had surgery on my nose? I mean it takes up like half my face.” He then added with a smirk, “But then again my big nose is my trademark, and big noses are lucky. People who don’t know my name call me the ‘Singer with the Big Nose. '"



David Tao – Jaw Surgery?

Jiang Mingxue also accused David Tao of undergoing Jaw augmentation. Jiang Minxue that David recently seems to have a more "masculine" Jawline.

David's publicist called this accusation a ridiculous and released a statement, " David doesn’t t have the energy or time for cosmetic surgeries."

The second male lead for new movie "Se, Jie (Lust, Caution)", Taiwanese singer Wang Li-Hong (Leehom Wang), arrived in Malaysia on Tuesday, and immediately headed toward a hotel in Ipoh. Oscar-winning director Li An (Ang Lee) prepared a night banquet for the crew that night at 7.

Leehom stepped in Ipoh with extremely casual wearing. He wore a simple collared T-shirt, jeans, and also a truckers hat. He arrived at his hotel through a travel bus on Tuesday, 4:25 PM. He waited until the crew members transported all his luggage into the hotel and yawned. He and his assisstant stepped down the bus and walked toward the hotel, a whole crowd of crew members surrounding them like many soldiers guarding around a king. He immediately walked toward the elevator, not making any specific moves.

After 10 minutes, Ang Lee arrived with his body guards. "Lust, Caution" female lead Tang Wei came into the hotel several minutes later. Tang Wei's arrival was less noticeable than Ang Lee or Leehom Wang, where there were less crew members surrounding her.

Several crew members also came in the hotel holding some beer bottles and food. The journalists found one hotel room that was suppose to belong to the production crews' meeting office. Outside displayed a couch and inside the room there were two to three people. A security guard came and immediately told the reporters to leave.

JOAN CHEN VS. TONY LEUNG

Li An's (Ang Lee) added another actress to his new production, "Se, Jie (Lust, Caution)". Internationally famous Golden Horse queen Chen Chung (Joan Chen) is added to the "Lust, Caution" cast. She will play Leung Chiu Wai's (Tony Leung, who plays the male lead Mr. Yi) wife. In the original story, she was the one who brings Wang Jia-Zhi (played by Tang Wei) home, which allowed Wang Jia-Zhi to seduce Mr. Yi, making the assassination trap more successful. While they are playing mahjong, her other playing mates tried to hide Mr. Yi and Wang Jia-Zhi's underground relationship. Although Joan will not have much screentime in the film, her role is extremely challenging. With her playing this role, everyone will feel relieved.

In "Lust, Caution", Joan Chen was chosen to play one of the supporting roles, Mrs. Yi. According to Zhang Ai-Ling's (Eileen Chang) story, she is a plump, strong middle-aged woman. Joan, who's 45 years old this year, is perfectly fit and exceeds beauty for her role. Before, she was also in another movie that was another remake of one of Eileen Chang's stories, "Hong Mei Gui Bai Mei Gui (Red Rose, White Rose)" and because of that movie she was titled Golden Horse queen. Ang Lee's "Food Drink Man Woman" were also nominated with many awards that same year. Ang and Joan already met quite a while ago. Finally in ten years, Ang Lee finds Joan Chen to give her an important supporting role in "Lust, Caution".

In the movie, Joan Chen has a scene where she will be playing mahjong. Ang Lee already found the other playmates - Tang Wei, Chinese superstar He Cai-Fei, and Artist Shen Xiao-Yun. According to the original story, the three wives fought verbally on the mahjong table. Ang Lee wanted everyone to practice mahjong and requested them to play gracefully, but yet carelessly at the same time. Aside from Tony Leung, Wang Li-Hong (Leehom Wang), Tuo Zong Hua will be in the film, Hong Kong star Chin Ka-Lok was earlier rumored to be in the film as well, playing an official.

LEEHOM ARRIVES AT MALAYSIA TODAY

"Se, Jie (Lust, Caution)" will begin filming this week. The scenery and other preparations for the film are almost completely. Many people knew where the actors will begin filming, but they do not know when Li An (Ang Lee) and the crew will arrive. Wang Li-Hong (Leehom Wang), who completed his training lessons for "Lust, Caution" last week in Hong Kong, returned to Taipei and shopped in Mei Feng Square for some home accessories. Because Wang Mama constantly comes to Taipei, the filial son decided to buy a new mattress for his mother. He arrived in Malaysia today to prepare for the production.

ANG LEE ARRIVES IN IPOH, "LUST, CAUTION" READY FOR ACTION

Director Li An's (Ang Lee) new movie, "Se, Jie (Lust, Caution)" started their worshipping ceremony today, the 6th. Tomorrow they will start filming, and according to the Hong Kong Ming Bao to the Malaysian newsletter, Ang Lee arrived in Ipoh a couple of days ago and sat on a cable car at night with his other fellow crew members, riding along the Ipoh streets, discussing about the production. He wanted the production to be perfect.

Yesterday around 3 in the afternoon, Ang Lee went to Tin Mi Street, an old street in Ipoh to discuss further production. He disclosed that he will bring in actors Tang Wei and Wang Li-Hong (Leehom Wang) to film in that street very soon. However, Leung Chiu-Wai (Tony Leung) will not be present.

NEW NAME FOR "LUST, CAUTION"?

Rumors say that the title for "Lust, Caution" will be changed to "Old Yi's Story". Obviously the film will be more focusing on Leung Chiu-Wai (Tony Leung) than the other characters. When asked, the crew members did not reply.

"Lust, Caution" will hopefully be competeing with other films in the Venice Film Festival.

"Se, Jie (Lust, Caution)" will soon begin their official filming in Malaysia around this week. The scenery for the movie was already exposed yesterday. Many Chinese-Malaysians already knew where filming will take place, but they do not know when Li An (Ang Lee) and the actors will arrive for filming. The training acting lessons for "Lust, Caution" already completed last week, and Wang Li-Hong (Leehom Wang), who was previously in Hong Kong for the training, returned to Taipei. Yesterday Leehom went shopping for home accessories in the Mei Feng Sqare. Because Wang Mama frequently visits Taipei, the filial Leehom decided to buy a new and comfortable bed for his mother. He will soon fly to Malaysia tomorrow for the production.

"Lust" production has been going on successfully. The designers successfully made the the supposedly old and useless building to a flower. The five-story building, that is in a corner of a street was completely made-over. Outside the building the people added in an old Shanghai design etched on a board that is hanging lively in front of the front dors. Many people would stop by and stare at it in awe, feeling as if they were captured into that time period.

Another old warehouse was completely made-over as well. It was transformed into a grocery store. The food, candy, and everything else are real. There are still people adding the finishing touches to the store, and yesterday there were policeman guarding the store.

DOES NOT KNOW WHEN ANG LEE WILL ARRIVE

Beyond the grocery store, between the streets, stands a wall with a painted city. The production crew said that adding a fake city in the background will prevent the real, modern city from appearing on screen. However, they said that they will use real scenery for the background, therefore the wall is just a backup.

Many people will walk up to the set and give the production crew a few questions. The staff answers their question fully, but when asked when will Ang Lee, Leung Chiu-Wai (Tony Leung) and the others will arrive, they all give the same answer: "I don't know."

The citizens of Malaysia heard that filming for the movie will be extremely low-key and quiet. The government also rented an old motel for filming, but the boss of the motel only knew that there will be a movie filming and does not know anything else.

"LUST, CAUTION" OPENING CEREMONY - LEEHOM WANG AND TANG WEI HAVE CLOSE SCENES

(Ipoh Newsletter) After the opening ceremony was completed on Wednesday afternoon for the new film, "Se, Jie (Lust, Caution)", the crew finally began to film their first scene where it involved Wang Li-Hong (Leehom Wang) and Tang Wei. After 40 minutes of filming, a church about 200 meters away were broadcasting Koranic verses. Director Li An (Ang Lee) immediately stopped the filming and began praying. About 5 minutes later, he told the crew to resume filming.

It was 7 in the morning, and over 30 people from the production crew were already busy. Many crew workers went to the old street of Ipoh to finish some finishing touches on the scenery and other accessories. The Ipoh government also contacted the police to guard and blockade six buildings in Lie Yi Street, and also sent in security guards to guard them strictly.

It wasn't until 11:20 in the morning when eight to nine people, dressed in pre-modern clothing, who were extras for the film, came in the scene. Ang Lee also arrived 25 minutes later. As soon as he arrived, the crew immediately used a huge piece of black cloth to cover the filming area, preventing other people to enter. The security is extremely tight.

Leehom Wang arrived to the scene at approximately 12:20. He quickly went into the dressing room. He came out of the dressing room and was wearing a white, collared T-shirt, revealing a scholarly aura of students in China back in the pre-modern period. Many fans who were waiting for him outside in the streets screamed "Wang Li-Hong" and Leehom stopped what he was doing and smiled, waving at them.

Around 12:30, Ang Lee ordered the 30 to 40 members of the production to start the opening ceremony. After Leehom finished worshipping, he hugged Ang Lee and his other co-workers, prepared for the official filming of "Lust, Caution."

WANTS ANG LEE'S SIGNATURE; STUDENT WAIT FOR NINE HOURS WITH OF NO LUCK

Beyond the filming arena, many fangirls of Leehom grabbed their violin and waited three hours straight for their idol to appear. Leehom finally appeared and signed their violins. However, there was a student that was not as lucky. He held a book written by Ang Lee, called "Shi Nian Yi Jue, Dian Ying Mong (Filming Dreams for Ten Years)". He waited for nine hours and continuously nagged the security guards to let him see Ang Lee. In the end, he returned home with no luck.

This student is 22 years old and his surname is "Su." He started his ride on bus from Kuala Lumpar to Ipoh on Tuesday. On Wednesday, 7 in the morning, he arrived at the studio to wait for Ang Lee. It wasn't until 4:30 in the afternoon until he left.

He said that when he was 15 after he saw Ang Lee's "Eat Drink Man Woman", he began to admire Ang Lee greatly. He never missed a single movie Ang Lee made. Earlier on, "Brokeback Mountain" was banned in his country so he specially flew to Thailand to see it.

RESTAURANT PLAYS "MISTAKE BY THE FLOWER FIELDS"; LEEHOM WANG BECOMES BASHFUL

On Tuesday night, Ang Lee held a welcoming banquet for the cast in a restaurant in Ipoh. The restaurant's workers warmly invited Leehom Wang and Tang Wei to the restaurant. The workers also purposely played "Huan Tian Cuo (Mistake by the Flower Fields)" in the background when they invited Leehom in. Leehom's cheeks flushed and bashfully told the workers to lower the volume of the music a little.

Leehom ordered eight different plates for the banquet. Ang Lee seemed to be in a very good mood that night and continuously ate and drank tea. Although Leehom and Tang Wei did not eat or drink as much as him, they still ate a lot with smiling faces. Before they had their order on their table, Leehom smiled at his music which was playing on the background and lightly danced to it, appearing very relaxed. After the banquet, he left with the crew members.

While the crew members were eating dinner, many people were crowding outside the restaurant. Employees of the restaurant ran outside and told the reporters in English, "Don't take any pictures. They just came and they're all really tired. They need to eat and rest."

The owner of the restaurant revealed that to protect the production crew from disturbance, he did not invite any other customers that night.

(Ipoh Newsletter) For perfection, Li An (Ang Lee) can do anything, even if it takes to "convert to a different religion"! New film "Se, Jie (Lust, Caution)" [recently rumored to be called "Lao Yi De Gu Shi (Old Yi's Story)"] started filming for the first time yesterday in Ipoh, Malaysia. Ang Lee brought Wang Li-Hong (Leehom Wang), Tang Wei, and other actors to the opening ceremony to worship. Ang Lee chose a Daoist ceremony and also chose roasted pig as the worshipping food and host. In the afternoon during the middle of filming, a temple around a mile away were broadcasting prayers. Ang Lee stopped filming at that moment and prayed for a short while. 5 minutes later, he told the crew to resume filming.

Ang Lee filming in Ipoh is a huge and special event. According to sources, the high officials of the Malaysian government was planning to host the opening ceremony, but because the crew already found the roasted pig to be the host. The official no longer needed to be there and cancelled the trip. Ang Lee could not stop smiling at the roasted pig.

Because the crew for this production is diverse and from different countries, Ang Lee taught them how to properly worship by worshipping at the four corners. Besides Leehom Wang, Tang Wei, and second female lead Chu Tsz-Ying, Taiwan actors Ke Yu-Lun (Lawrence Ke) and Gao Ying-Qian also wore pre-modern suits and exposed their costumes to the public.

LEEHOM MAIN FOCUS ON FIRST SCENE

After the opening ceremony completed, Ang Lee officially ordered the crew to stand by and start filming. Ang Lee also called out to the crew and shouted "good luck" to everyone. Around 2 in the afternoon that day, Ang Lee and the crew went to the grocery store to begin filming the first scene. He had on a serious face. From the camera's angle, you could clearly see that both Tang Wei and Chu Tsz-Ying had their backs facing the camera, and Leehom was the only person that caught the attention on the camera.

In the story, Wang Jia-Zhi (Tang Wei) is Kuang Yu-Min's (Leehom) girlfriend. In that particular scene they meet up together to discuss about seducing and assassinating Leung Chiu-Wai's (Tony Leung) character, Mr. Yi. Obviously, Ang Lee's first scene in the film is using Leehom as the focus. Rumors say that Tony Leung will soon arrive in Ipoh for filming, but Ang Lee explained that Tony does not have any scenes to film in Ipoh.

Yesterday afternoon Ang Lee only filmed two to three camera points. Leehom was also very welcomed in the studio, being surrounded by fans. Once the fans spotted him they would scream his name. Leehom would warmly smile and wave. There was high school student who brought her violin for Leehom to sign, and Leehom happiliy accepted it.

Although throughout the production process the studio was extremely strict and would not allow the reporters to flash cameras, the reporters discovered that instead of having "Lust, Caution" for the title on the script, it said "Lao Yi De Gu Shi (Old Yi's Story)" instead. WEI VS. LEEHOM

The actors in Ang Lee's new film had exposed their costumes. Tang Wei wore a very simple, but elegant water blue-colored qi pao. Leehom on the other hand wore a white-collared shirt and black pants, displaying the aura of simple casual clothings students back in pre-modern China use to wear. His costume was also simple but elegant.

ROASTED PIG APPEARS, ANG LEE LAUGHS

When "Lust, Caution/Lao Yi De Gu Shi" held their opening ceremony, some of the crew members carried out a roasted pig that was half as big as a human being. Ang Lee somehow couldn't control himself and cracked up - it was a rare, but happy smile to see on Ang Lee.

Ang Lee Starts Filming "Lust, Caution" in Malaysia

Oscar-winning director Ang Lee has begun filming for his spy thriller "Lust, Caution" in Malaysia.

The film crew held a traditional Chinese prayer ceremony before kicking off filming on Thursday, according to a news report from Chinese portal Sina.com.

Scenes in "Lust, Caution," starring Cannes best actor winner Tony Leung and Chinese newcomer Tang Wei, are also expected to take place in Shanghai and Hong Kong.

The film marks Lee's return to Chinese-language films after shooting "The Hulk" and the gay romance "Brokeback Mountain," which won Lee an Oscar for best director earlier this year.

"Lust, Caution," based on a 26-page short story by famed Chinese writer Eileen Chang, is about a group of patriotic students who plot to assassinate the intelligence chief in the Japanese-backed Chinese government during the World War II era.

Over 3000 people stood in the rain just to see the set filming for "Se, Jie (Lust, Caution)"!

Wang Li-Hong (Leehom Wang), idol of millions; Tang Wei, a new star; and Ang Lee, Oscar's winning director had attracted thousands of people to crowd around the studio to see the filming in Malaysia.

According to the administrator of a famous tea shop in Jinbao, there were thousands of warm fans waiting beyond the filming set, watching their idols filming the movie. It wasn't until after 1 in the morning when the director finally said "cut" and said that it was done for the day when the fans decided to leave. They stayed and watched the entire filming process from afar. At that time, there were at least 200 to 300 people young adults left watching.

The city's fans are extremely warm and loyal to their idol. Even the film's production crew, who flew all the way from Hong Kong couldn't stop praising them.

Two days ago around 4 PM, the people in the city heard about the filming location and over 300 fans flew over to the production set and waited for their idols film the production the whole day.

TANG WEI BITTEN BY A MOSQUITO

Around 5 in the afternoon, there were already over 3000 fans crowding around the production sets waiting for the crew to begin filming.

Sadly, the weather seemed to not be obeying. It started to sprinkle faintly around 5 PM. However, none of the fans left and continued standing in the rain to see the cast film. Not only that, but more people came as well. Young adults were the most abundant within the mob of fans and there were several who were wearing school uniforms.

Ang Lee, Leehom Wang, Tang Wei, and many other Hong Kong, Taiwan actors that were part of the production arrived at the set around 8 and had to walk out in the rain. The fans immediately screamed, supporting their idols.

When they saw their idiol, many of the immediately praised that Leehom was charming and Tang Wei was young and beautiful. Sadly, Tang Wei got bitten by a mosquito while filming that night at around 11 PM. She constantly stuck out her hand to scatch the spot.

LEEHOM'S RUNNING SCENE - NGs 12 TIMES

During filming, the security guards and the polices were strictly guarding and protecting the filming area from any disturbance as well as for the convenience of the filming process. Although the production crew constantly told the people that they cannot flash their cameras, many people disobeyed this order and still continued to do so. After several camera flashes, the crew grew angry and contacted the police. Once again, they warned the locals to not commit this rule the second time. They tightened the security even more after the incident. They told the citizens who were living in the apartments above the filming area to close their windows and forbade the locals to take pictures. This was to prevent the result of the camera to not reflect the lights itself as well as to keep the actors focused on their work.

Around midnight, the crowd slowly dispersed, but it wasn't until when the filming completed around 2 AM when everyone left.

Filming for movies are not easy. Looking at one scene where Leehom had to run out of the "Chen Sheng Hotel", he had NGed it 7 times, and also had to re-film it 7 times more. There was another scene where Leehom had to run across a street, and he had NGed that 12 times.

Wang Li-Hong (Leehom Wang) and female lead Tang Wei had to stay in the rain for two hour to continue the unfinished scene they filmed the other night.

Li An's (Ang Lee) new movie, "Se, Jie (Lust, Caution)" (other name: "Lao Yi De Gu Shi") is still currently in production and is continuing an incomplete night scene they filmed two nights ago in Zheng Anshou Road of Ipoh. The whole crew had to stay in the rain for over 2 hours. They began their filming at 10 PM. To make a perfect result, the firefighters continously poured water on the actors to make an extremely expensive and real effect of a rainy night.

The scene involved Leehom and Tang Wei running in the rain to catch up a bus trolley.

The involved actors commited at least over 10 NGs before the scene was perfect.

STRESSFUL LEEHOM

In a record store near where filming took place, the store sold pirated albums of Leehom's "new album" and continuously played Leehom's new songs, "Ai Qing Gong Lue (Life is a Game)" and "Finally." This made the singer feel extremely unpleasant, commiting many NGs while filming.

On Friday night Ang Lee brought Leehom, Tang Wei, Chu Chih-Ying and the others to film a night scene. They did not stop filming until it was Saturday morning at 4, working for over 7 hours straight.

Ang Lee began filming the "raining" scene at approximately 1 AM. The scene involved where Leehom is pulling Tang Wei toward the bus trolley. Because lately Leehom has been commiting many NGs, he became more stressful and pressured. After hearing about the record store selling Leehom's pirated music albums, it made Leehom feel uncomfortable and could not completely concentrate on his job.

After filming for two hours, the weather really began to rain. During that time, many of Leehom's fans came to the studio, wanting his signature. When Leehom heard about the fans in the rain, he immediately ran out to them during break to give them signatures so they didn't need to wait in the rain any longer. However, Leehom said he rather wished them to go home. Not only would it prevent them from being sick from the rain, it would also make Leehom feel less uncomfortable.

LEEHOM FLIRTS WITH TANG WEI TO MAKE ANG LEE HAPPY

(Penang, Malaysia Newsletter) On Friday night, Oscar-winning director LI AN (Ang Lee) was in Zheng Anshou Road of Ipoh to complete a night scene for his new production, "SE, JIE (Lust, Caution)" (aka "Lao Yi De Gu Shi").

The scene filmed last night was a romantic scene between second male lead WANG LI-HONG (Leehom Wang) and female lead TANG WEI. Compared to the shooting of the scenes they filmed three days ago, they managed to pull through this shoot smoothly. Leehom and Tang Wei only NGed 7 times in this romantic scene, making Ang Lee really happy.

Two nights ago Ang Lee blocked an old 400 meter street, adding in an old bus trolley, making the street release an aura of the 1930s Hong Kong. The importance of the scene was to reveal the entangling romantic emotions between Leehom and Tang Wei. Tang Wei was originally talking lively with her friends in the car, but afterwards she decided to sit aside and stare at the rain. Leehom used this chance to sit close to her to talk to her, and both of them stared at each other in the eyes, pouring emotions through each other's heart. Leehom and Tang Wei successfully completed this scene within 7 takes. Ang Lee felt really proud about it.

TONY LEUNG ARRIVED TO PENANG LAST WEEK

Days ago Leehom was filming a scene where he runs out of a brothel. After running around 50 times, Ang Lee finally accepted the shoot. The scene of him flirting with Tang Wei completed within 7 takes, appearing that Leehom is much better filming romantic scenes.

Afterwards, Ang Lee began to concentrate his camera on the expressions of CHU CHIH-YING and the other actors. It wasn't until 7 in the morning when the whole crew finished their work. After the filming he immediately went to Penang to do some preparations for the next day. Oscar-winning directors are sure hard-working.

Yesterday was the anniversary day of Ang Lee winning for "Best Director - Brokeback Mountain" in the Oscars. He smiled, "Really? I don't remember. Who won this year?" This year's winner was Mainland Chinese director Jia Zhang-Ke. When asked how he felt about Chinese directors winning the award two times in a row, Ang Lee frankly said that he's extremely happy.

Days ago there were rumors going around that the male lead for Ang Lee's new movie, LEUNG CHIU-WAI (Tony Leung) already arrived in Penang. A worker of a hotel witenessed, "Last week he came here and lived here for a couple of days. We were not allowed to say anything about it until now. He was really low-key, so it wasn't a surprise that no one noticed his arrival."

Lately Leehom has faced much pressure and seems "down". Although it has only been 4 days of shooting, reporters have been following his every step, waiting for him to make a mistake. Every NG that Leehom makes is another news story waiting to happen. Therefore Leehom inevitably has the burden of performing well. On the way to the set, he says no words, and intently studies the script over and over again. He knows that if he does make a mistake it will be on the news once again.

Leehom has visibly been affected by these reports. Lee Ang commented, “It’s normal for an actor or an actress to make NGs, I don’t see the need for reporters to report something so natural. It does nothing but bring more pressure to the cast.”

Leehom’s frustration is augmented by the fact that right next to the filming site, Leehom hears his hard work being pirated. A music store was plays pirated versions of “Love is a Game,” and “Finally.”

When Leehom sees his fans on the set, he waves and quickly runs over to them to sign autographs during break. However, Leehom feels guilty having his fans wait 8 hours just to see a glimpse of him.

One lucky fan received Leehom’s autograph on her violin. “Leehom was very nice and willing, but it does seem the movie is stressing him out. There is something missing when he smiles.”

Obnoxious bystanders didn’t help the situation. There was a couple with a child who came to the set in a search of Tony Leung. However, Tony Leung does not have any scenes yet so he was not there. They did see Leehom, yet they expressed their dissatisfaction. “We came here for Tony Leung, not Leehom. We don’t want to see Leehom, we want Tony.” It is unclear if Leehom heard the couple, however he walked away quietly.

David Tao appeared recently on RTHK for his album promotion. David's new album "Tai Mei Li," has recieved mixed reviews from his fans. Some are disappointed that he didn't include a "strong social message". One individual critisized David's rapping in the album, "David shouldn't rap, he should leave that to Jay Chou." David responded that he doesn't like comparing himself to other artists such as Leehom or Jay Chou.

David and Leehom have actually collaborated on multiple occasions, including a charity concert in 2004 which raised over 3,000,000. They also collaborated for another charitable cause in 2003; the two wrote, produced, and composed the SARS song, "Hand in Hand," in just 1 day.

He said that he would love to collaborate with Leehom again or Jay Chou. "We could become a band, like Kangta and Vanness. But instead of dancing, we'd be playing instruments, haha."

David and Leehom's Special Relationship:
David and Leehom continously thank each other on their albums, so what's the deal?

"Leehom and I have a very special relationship, not in a gay way or anything. But we both admire each other's music greatly. His music always provides me with inspiration even if it's not the type that I like. What I respect about him is his open-mindedness. Not only as a person, but as a musician. He isn't afraid to experiment. I know over the years he's recieved a lot of criticism for not having his "own style." However, Leehom's "style" is the fact that his albums are never the same. Just as some singers prefer to stay stagnant to one style, Leehom likes to change around his music, and that's his style. He's a very eager learner and is always open to knew perspectives. However, sometimes he gets too wild and his company gets angry because his songs aren't "commercial" enough. I've had times when Leehom's called me for advice, because he wants to include a song in an album, however his company wants him to write a song that's more "commercial and marketable." Leehom doesn't like writing such songs because he finds the process boring. I think if Leehom could, he would just crawl into a corner and write what ever music he wanted. He's often caught in between his own artistic nature and Sony's commercial demands.

We aren't friends in a way that we hang out or go to the movies. He usually hangs out with Hei Ren and them. However we are the type that will always give each other our honest opinion on each others music. I think we just really appreciate one another's dedication to music. His passion about music really moves me and we can discuss and give each other new ideas for hours on end."

David expressed that he hopes one day he can dawn the same stage as Leehom and Jay Chou and the three of them could just play to their own heart's desire. "We could just do some impromptu random stuff and play whatever music that comes to our minds, you know on-the-spot composing." Yet that seems pretty far in the future as all three have their own goals with their own agendas along with the fact that each is from a different company.

(Yahoo! China News) Several nights ago LI AN (Ang Lee) was in Ipoh, Malaysia finishing up an incomplete scene that involved Taiwanese heartthrob WANG LI-HONG (Leehom Wang) and Mainland Chinese beauty love talking in the rain.

Before they began the film Ang Lee brought around 20-30 other crew members to do some preparations and touring of the city. Ang Lee explained, "Ipoh is a very ancient city. It has many antique things that are worth to look it."

New film "SE, JIE (Lust, Caution)" began filming in Ipoh on Wednesday night. The scene involved the male and female lead talking in the rain. Leehom (Kuang Yu-Min) brings Tang Wei (Wang Jia-Zhi) to a nearby cable tram to dodge from the heavy rain. While in the bus Leehom and Tang Wei reveals entangling emotions toward each other. Besides the "love in the rain" scene, there will also be many more close camera shots of both Leehom and Tang Wei. Will Leehom and Tang Wei kiss? Nothing is 100% confirmed yet.

The production is due to move on to Penang on Friday, with shooting expected to resume at Gat Lebuh Cina where workers have been busy putting up the final touches.

"Lust, Caution" is based on a romantic spy thriller by famed Chinese writer ZHANG AI-LING (Eileen Chang).

Chinese actress Joan Chen of "The Last Emperor" has joined the cast of the new Ang Lee movie "Lust, Caution," Lee's assistant has confirmed.

"Lust, Caution," based on a 26-page short story by famed Chinese writer Eileen Chang, is about a group of patriotic students who plot to assassinate the intelligence chief in the Japanese-backed Chinese government during the World War II era.

Cannes best actor winner, Hong Kong's Tony Leung Chiu-wai, plays the intelligence official Mr. Yi, and Chen has been cast as his wife, Ang Lee's assistant, David Lee, said in an e-mail to The Associated Press Saturday.

In other cast members, Chinese newcomer Tang Wei plays the student Wang Jiazhi, who seduces Yi to pave the way for the assassination. Chinese-American pop star Leehom Wang portrays Kuang Yumin, a student collaborator of Wang Jiazhi's.

Chen is best known in the West for her roles in the Oscar-winning "The Last Emperor" and the TV series "Twin Peaks."

"Lust, Caution" marks Ang Lee's return to Chinese-language film after making "The Hulk" and the gay romance "Brokeback Mountain," which earned Lee Oscar a best director Oscar earlier this year.

"LUST, CAUTION" BEGINS FILMING IN PENANG

(Penang Newsletter) LI AN (Ang Lee) continued to film the other half of "SE, JIE (Lust, Caution)" on September 11 in Penang.

He officially chose this date because it is the day of the famous 9/11, where the Al Quada terrorists attacked New York's World Trade Center five years ago.

Yesterday's shooting was a scene of the main leads, WANG LI-HONG (Leehom Wang), CHEN CHUNG (Joan Chen) and TANG WEI talking.

According to sources, although the film's first male lead LEUNG CHIU-WAI (Tony Leung) does not have any scenes in Penang, he arrived there to visit the crew. However, Tony Leung was still not spotted in sight.

Parts of the city have been chosen for the movie, includes Jalan Bandar Timah, Jalan Panglima, Jalan Tun Sambanthan and Jalan Pasar.

Shooting expected to resume at Gat Lebuh Cina where workers have been busy putting up the final touches.

The whole cast arrived in the city on time at 8:30 in the morning.

"Lust, Caution" is based on a romantic spy thriller written by late writer ZHANG AI-LING (Eileen Chang).

Tony Leung plays MR. YEE, a Chinese official traitor who falls in love with a college student, WANG JIA-ZHI, played by Tang Wei. Leehom Wang, KUANG YU-MIN, plays Tang Wei's boyfriend. Joan Chen plays Tony's wife, MRS. YEE.

LEEHOM REFUSES TO TAKE PICTURES WITH FANS; SMOOTH FILMING IN PENANG

New film "SE, JIE (Lust, Caution)" (other name: "Lao Yi De Gu Shi") began their filming in Penang, Malaysia yesterday morning. The reporters interviewed the crew members who worked with actors in the studio, and they all commented that WANG LI-HONG (Leehom Want) was polite and quiet. Although he did not talk much, he would always say, "Thank You" once and a while to people. However, when fans requested Leehom to take pictures with them, he refused, afraid that his new style in the movie will be exposed to the public. Besides this, LI AN (Ang Lee) is also having a great time. He was polite and always smiled. When people ask for pictures, he was more than happy to fulfill their wish. Filming in Penang came by more smoothly compared to when they were in Ipoh, where they were behind schedule.

QUIET LEEHOM

The cast of "Lust, Caution" stayed in a small motel in between filming hours on the second floor. The owner of the motel commented, "Ang Lee and Leehom knows that I'm trying my best to go with the flow of the tight schedule the cast is going through. They constantly ask me how I'm doing and if I'm alright. Besides, Leehom is really polite and friendly. He repeatedly says 'thank you' to me. I feel really touched and grateful."

The owner of the store also explained that Leehom refused to take a picture with him when he asked. He explained that Leehom didn't want his costume and style to be exposed to the public. He also said that Leehom is being more quiet than usual because of the influence of his character, which Leehom is now trying to fully grasp into.

Many fans came to Penang to especially ask for Leehom's signature on his latest album and to take a picture with him. Sadly, Leehom only signed the albums, and did not take pictures.

LEEHOM BECOMES A SERVANT

Yesterday, the cast of "Lust, Caution" arrived in Penang to continue their daily shooting. CHEN CHUNG (Joan Chen), who plays MRS. YEE, appeared in a golden qipao along with TANG WEI in a simple and elegant dress. Leehom, on the other hand, who was also lately throwned as GOLDEN MELODY KING walked behind the two holding large shopping bags like a servant. LEUNG CHIU-WAI (Tony Leung), who plays Joan's husband did not show up yet.

Yesterday's filming involved Tang Wei, Leehom, and Joan shopping and chatting in the streets. They started filming from 9 AM to 6 PM.

In this scene, Leehom held the heavy shopping bags and walked behind Joan like a little servant. However, once Ang Lee called "CUT" the crew members would run to Leehom and helped him with the bags, extremely unlike a servant. Seems to be that beyond the scene Leehom is not a servant at all, but a man with extreme power. During the day Joan seemed to be in an excellent mood, chatting and laughing with the director. Ang Lee also highly praised that Leehom's acting is really good.

MELODY KING TAKES A NAP

For the past three nights, Leehom was constantly in the studio, filming without rest. Although Leehom's physical appearance seems awake and strong, he is actually very sleepy. Leehom arrived to the studio at eight last night to prepare for that night's filming, but because he was feeling very drowsy and exhausted, he fell asleep.

Furthermore, Ang Lee stated that there are no scenes in the movie that will involve Tony Leung's appearance. He will not arrive to Malaysia.

However, his record company expressed, "Leehom was definitely in Hong Kong last week, but it is because he was filming for the new movie. We saw the clip they posted online. You cannot tell if that man was Leehom or not, and Leehom has been working on the movie all day and night. Logically that man should not be Leehom."

According to Sina Entertainment, days ago Leehom secretly arrived to HK several days earlier and has been living in the Four Season Hotel. Rumors say that he frequently goes to Shu Qi's house. To keep this secret from the media, Shu Qi used her own private van to take Leehom to her house.

It is still not sure if that man was Leehom. The quality of both the photos and the video was too vague and blurry to be accurate. Both Leehom and Shu Qi did not reply.

Mini flag ba? Meron sa National Bookstore. I have this Taiwan flag, 5 1/2" x 11" ang size. Ewan ko lang kung yan na ang smallest.

There has been talk that Shu Qi’s camp is thinking of taking legal action against the HK paparazzi. Her spokesperson said that she was outraged that the HK paparazzi invaded her privacy to such a degree. “It is one thing to take pictures when a celebrity is out and about, but to follow her back home, wait outside her house and film her, that is stalking and an invasion of personal privacy. That's enough for a criminal indictment."

After Gillian’s incident, the HK paparazzi may have once again crossed the line. Shu Qi was followed by the media to her house. She was then filmed in her house unknowingly for an entire day. “What if she was changing? Then the media would probably post those pictures,” said an outraged fan Tung Hsu Wei.

The next day reports that Leehom spent the night at her house were plastered all over the entertainment headlines. In addition reporters elaborated that the two were extremely intimate, however the video released by the media seemed to prove otherwise.

Apparently the media had spotted Shu Qi with a guy, assuming it was Wang Leehom they followed her home and filmed her, then the clips were released on the Internet. There has been talk that Shu Qi’s camp is thinking of taking legal action against the HK paparazzi. Her spokesperson said that she was outraged that the HK paparazzi invaded her privacy to such a degree. “It is one thing to take pictures when a celebrity is out and about, but to follow her back home, wait outside her house and film her, that is stalking and an invasion of personal privacy. That's enough for a criminal indictment."

After Gillian’s incident, the HK paparazzi may have once again crossed the line. Shu Qi was followed by the media to her house. Ang Lee Asks Leehom to Go on A diet

Leehom was always skinny, even as a child. However his lowest point was during 2000/early 2001. During this year he was barely 60 kg (130 lbs), which is quite a feat considering his 180 CM frame. That year he had gone through a lot of stress including continuous days of no sleep in order to film his movie China Strike Force, creating his Wei Yi album, and receiving his Masters Degree. However, much of his stress was attributed to his breakup with his girlfriend. His girlfriend left him after a 5-year relationship.

Luckily in the last few years Leehom has gained a few healthy pounds. Leehom loves to eat, but never gains weight so Sony BMG had a period in which they only allowed Leehom to eat protein and meat so that he would gain weight. And in recent years he is reported to be a fit 68 kg (149lbs). Yet for his new Ang Lee film, Ang Lee requested Leehom not only to learn to write with his right hand (Leehom is left handed) and attend 9-hour Chinese history classes, he also asked Leehom to go on a diet. Since the movie takes place in the WW II era, all the actors/actresses are expected to be extremely skinny because at the time there was a shortage of food. Lee Ang wants Leehom to look “starving.”

All the cast and crew have been asked to lose at least 5 kg to achieve the “starving” look.
The crew are already on their way to losing the weight because these days they are extremely tired and are working endless hours. They barely have time to eat or sleep. Ang Lee and cast are currently filming in Hong Kong at Hong Kong University. The crew and cast work clock round, as Ang Lee tries his best to make another prefect film.

It is reported that Leehom sleeps on an average of 45 minutes a day. At times he takes naps during breaks. Many fans who have visited his shooting location have reported that Leehomthough tired is still cheerful upon seeing them.

Ang Lee Asks Leehom to Go on A diet

Leehom was always skinny, even as a child. However his lowest point was during 2000/early 2001. During this year he was barely 60 kg (130 lbs), which is quite a feat considering his 180 CM frame. That year he had gone through a lot of stress including continuous days of no sleep in order to film his movie China Strike Force, creating his Wei Yi album, and receiving his Masters Degree. However, much of his stress was attributed to his breakup with his girlfriend. His girlfriend left him after a 5-year relationship.

Luckily in the last few years Leehom has gained a few healthy pounds. Leehom loves to eat, but never gains weight so Sony BMG had a period in which they only allowed Leehom to eat protein and meat so that he would gain weight. And in recent years he is reported to be a fit 68 kg (149lbs). Yet for his new Ang Lee film, Ang Lee requested Leehom not only to learn to write with his right hand (Leehom is left handed) and attend 9-hour Chinese history classes, he also asked Leehom to go on a diet. Since the movie takes place in the WW II era, all the actors/actresses are expected to be extremely skinny because at the time there was a shortage of food. Lee Ang wants Leehom to look “starving.”

All the cast and crew have been asked to lose at least 5 kg to achieve the “starving” look.
The crew are already on their way to losing the weight because these days they are extremely tired and are working endless hours. They barely have time to eat or sleep. Ang Lee and cast are currently filming in Hong Kong at Hong Kong University. The crew and cast work clock round, as Ang Lee tries his best to make another prefect film.

It is reported that Leehom sleeps on an average of 45 minutes a day. At times he takes naps during breaks. Many fans who have visited his shooting location have reported that Leehomthough tired is still cheerful upon seeing them.

ANG LEE DOES NOT BLAME LEEHOM WANG FOR SLOWING DOWN FILMING PROCESS
October 8, 2006, Sunday

LI AN (Ang Lee) was overjoyed when his mother flew from Taiwan all the way to Hong Kong to celebrate Autumn Moon Festival with him. When discussing about previous filming for "SE, JIE (Lust, Caution)" in Malaysia, a "Wang Lee Hom Storm" was mentioned and it was that which caused the filming process for "Lust, Caution" to be postponed many times. Ang Lee sighed and said that he could not blame him for the slow filming process because it was not his fault.

Because Ang Lee is currently busy filming and producing for his new Chinese film, "Lust, Caution", he never had the chance to return to Taiwan and celebrate Autumn Moon Festival with his family. Therefore, Ang Lee's younger brother, LI GANG (Gang Lee) brought his mother and flew to Hong Kong so he could celebrate it with his older brother. Sadly, Ang Lee's wife and their two sons could not join in the celebration because they are currently extremely busy with school and work in New York.

"Lust, Caution" has attracted global attention. Ang Lee has always been careful about filming and does not like other people interfering with the filming process and dislikes too much of an exposure. Earlier last month when filming officially started in Malaysia, it had caused Ang Lee and the crew to be extremely stressed and frustrated because the paparazzi managed to snap pictures and wrote articles about it, which became the main focus of entertainment news in Malaysia. This seriously interfered with the filming process and it also caused a rumor to spread around, saying that WANG LI-HONG (Leehom Wang) was slowing down the filming process, which became the main topic of gossip in Malaysia. Because of this, Ang Lee has to speak up to clear things up.

Ang Lee says that the main reason why the filming process was slow in Malaysia was because most of the scenes they filmed were from outside. It was hard to control the amount of people rushing to visit the set. Leehom is also an idol of millions around the world and his popularity became the main focus of distrcation. Wherever he went, a whole group of his fans would follow him. Although Leehom appreciates his fans' warmness, it extremely stressed him and it had affected Leehom's ability to concentrate while filming. Although it has been a while since Leehom's last movie, Leehom was still very focused, cooperative, and professional while he was acting. Ang Lee commented that Leehom is getting better and better, and he is getting more and more satisfied.

Therefore, Ang Lee is now aware of the press and the filming process for "Lust, Caution" is now kept more confidential than before. According to the script, the movie's most important character LEUNG CHIU-WAI (Tony Leung) has already started filming "at a specific place". Since the crew was not reported to have appeared in Shanghai, filming is still currently processing in Hong Kong. It is still vague about where filming is taking place at this moment because the production crew is now aware of the press and is keeping the filming process more confidential to prevent exposure. However, Tony and the female leads TANG WEI and CHEN CHUNG (Joan Chen) already started filming together. Rumors say that the trio's chemistry was phenomenal, all thanks to Ang Lee and his beautiful choice of casting.

This is the first time for Joan Chen and Ang Lee to work together. Surprisingly, Joan Chen was originally suppose to be the main lead of "XI YAN (The Wedding Banquet)", a movie directed by Ang Lee years ago, but because at that time Joan Chen was classified as an American entertainer, the role of female lead was given to someone else. Joan Chen and Tony Leung are also fated. Both of them were the king and queen of the Golden Horse Awards in 1994. Tony was throned king from "The Chunking Express" and Joan was throned queen from "RED ROSE, WHITE ROSE", a story written by ZHANG AI-LING (Eileen Chang). Who knew that both Tony and Joan will become husband and wife from another creation by Eileen Chang.

A month ago when Ang Lee was in Malaysia filming, a reporter discovered that the title of "Lust, Caution" was changed to "LAO YI DE GU SHI (Old Yee's Story)". A crew member expressed that it was a nickname and it will not be the movie's official name. However, it is not known if the title for "Lust, Caution" will change or not.

Waaaaah! wala pa din yung jeep? tinawagan ko na para ma-track, yay naka-leave yung kakilala ko..baka naubusan ng gasolina..basta darating din yun tomorrow or friday..kainis talaga, malayo kse ang LBC at DHL dito e. di ako makalabas pag lunch break..sayang naman kung di masasama.

hello to all..yes he's coming via Thursday 19 Oct'06 for his concert by SQ825, 7.45pm and I mightgo down to the airport just to see him close-up...

anyway, eto na po ang kuwento ko sa nangyari kanina sa Humming House when I visited their ofc para magbigay ng specifics..

I entered the ofc and was greeted by the receptionist (si R)....ako si H..
I told her who I was and that I need to give instructions for the flower arrangement I ordered..

R : OK
H : I need to put this (sabay pakita dun sa ginawa ni Bing) in the arrangement
R : Oh, to Lihong (this is how they pronounce it)
H : You know him?
R : "Yes. I'm a fan but the flower arrangement you ordered cannot support coz this is quite big (the message board). Wait, I'll ask the designer (sabay labas)

After a couple of mins, a guy (rather gay) entered the ofc carrying the message board and greeted me " Hi ! I'm Johnny (sya si J). Wow you want to send flowers to Lihong ! Lihong ! LIhong! (sabay tili proving the badinger-z sya)."

H : Yes, you know him ?'
J(ohnny) : Yes, we are all fans here. (dito pigil na sigaw ko..gusto sana tumili)
H : Do you know he has a concert on Saturday ?
J : Yes and we are going. Me and friends.
H : Really ? Wow, we might see each other there !
J : YA, perhaps we can meet.
H : But how can we put this one (message board) in the arrangement?
J : Since your budget is 50, why not get the 60 table arrangement with a tower stand so it can support your message board. Don't worry I'll make it pretty for you. Yu will like it ! What we will give him is something like this (sabay turo sa worth 200 dollars na arrangement) where we will put his face here (may board na kasama) and put a (congratulatory) message beside it.

Muntik ko na orderin ung ung gagawin nay kaso 200 e...di kinaya ng powers ko..mas mahal sa tiket ko pag nagkaganun ...

Johnny then explains what he might do and told me to bring the message board on Friday for the final decor so he can spend the day preparing for our flowers.

He then was needed in the production room (room kung sa nila ginagawa ung flowers) and told me that he will see me on Friday.

GRABEEEEEEEEE !!!!! MUNTIK NA KO MAGSISISGAW KASI NGA SARAP TSIKAHIN NI JOHNNY !! Sa Friday na lang kami magtsitsikahan.

2PM ko ipinadeliver ung flowers.


IF EVER dumating ang jeepney bukas, I plan to include it in another arrangement I wanted to order for the dressing room. Ung flower arrangement na may stand sa hallway daw un ilalagay.

Oh my god !! Ang gastos..pero ok lang kasi baka di na maulit...

o sya comments anyone ???

basta kitang2 sa vid ko na nagh-HI sya sa ken !! waaah...hi back ako..grabe....

i shouted when he was in the van 'see you on saturday' kaso sinara na ang pinto..i will post dito kung asan ang mga videos ko ng pagdating nya..medyo maya2....

i was there by 7:20 and i saw a few fans..one of them waved at me and gave me a mini-poster of leehom's concert here.....while waiting, i was testing my video cam when all of a sudden he appeared !!!

wearing the blue OurHomeSg shirt with his signature dragon clef at the back, he even waved at us when he was in the baggage claim area...

i filmed for a few minutes and then positioned my self at the exit area...i saw him go out and pass by me but was pushed aside by the guards...my video cam almost flew out of my hands...anyway, a lot of fans was swarming him because they were giving gifts to him(too bad i dont have)..

but as he exits to go to the van waiting for him, he looked at me and
said "hi !" and i was like..."hiiiiiii". good thingi captured it in my video !!when he go into the van he said "Glad to see you all" (something of that sort)...
waaah.....i was so happyyyyyyyyy....am very lucky too...

with regards to the flowers, i went this afternoon to Humming House to deliver the final message board we will put in it...i delivered it and re-ordered
another basket which was supposed to contain the jeepney (which didn't come in time..waaah...) i suggested we give him...anyway, i ordered one on my behalf coz it sure costs a lot for a small basket (1 bear and 3 flowers)...
hahahaha...

after a few hours passed, i received a call from a certain Sebastian..this is how the conversation went :

S(ebastian) : Hi , is this Rowena, the fan of Lihong ?
H(itad) : Yes, why ?
S: i'm Sebastian from Humming House.
H : Okay
s : I am going to change yur flowers because...
H : (cutting him short) what ?
S : No no no..I will be changing your flowers beacuse..You gave us
your message board, the on to put in he flowers
right ?
H : Yes... and...hhm... so ?
S : The flowers that you ordered, ah...they will
calsh with the colors of your flag you see. The blue and
the red.
H : Oh yes ! Correct !
S : You know what? I am also a fan so II would like
to create something extra special for him.
H : Really ! Wow ! You and Johnny ?
S : Yes !
H : Oh my god ! You are the best.
S : It is nice right ? I will arrange it beautifully.
H : Thanks a lOT ! You are my saviour !
S : Okay, so it os fine to do this huh ?
H : Yes ! Sure !


we said our goodbyes and i was like, wwwooowwww !!!
after something like 10 misn or so, i received an SMS from Sebastian (now his number!) and this is what it contains :
'Don't worry girl, we will arrange teh flowers that will catch hi eyes.."

i saw the flowers and ang ganda..simple
but it made the Phil Flag outstanding !!
and all flowers are fresh !! the one
we chose has a lot of artificial ones !
