SETTV is now available in Destiny Cable! However, this is only temporary.

So, may we request all Destiny Cable, Inc. subscribers to please call the customer care hotline at 8481818 and give your account name and number (found in the billing statement) and request them to keep the SETTV Channel 69 (Destiny) Channel 51 (Global) permanent. Not the SETTV Asia but the one they're showing now.

If they receive a lot of requests, they might grant it to us :)

FYI, WQYL (Showbiz) entertainment show of Zax Wang Renfu and Shan Wei is being shown on weekdays from 6-730pm, replays at 1-230am, 6-730am and 1030-12nn. 100% Señorita on weekdays from 12-1am. TFKC on saturdays starting at 9pm! Isn't this enough reason for us to request to keep requesting that they make Ch. 69/51 (SETTV) permanent?

Pangalawang punta na sa Manila ng Taiwanese actress na si Joe Chen. Ang gusto niyang balik-balikan ay ang ating sweet mango. Kaya, pagdating niya mula sa airport galing Taipeh last Satuday morning, hinainan agad siya ng GMA-7 staff ng matamis na mangga.

Pumunta rito si Joe para mag-taping ng Sugo, kung saan isa siya sa leading ladies ni Richard Gutierrez.

Unang pumunta ng Manila si Joe last year para mag-promote ng Twin Sisters, ang Taiwanese soap kung saan siya nakilala ng Pinoy viewers.

Dumating si Joe 10:45 nu'ng Sabado ng umaga via China Airlines. Tumuloy ito agad sa set ng Sugo sa Salazar St., Binondo at doo'y na-meet si Richard at ang magiging kaibigan sa story na si Julianne Lee.

Ani Richard: "First meeting pa lang, na-attract agad ako. Sexy siya't maganda. Ang eksena namin na nakunan na ay 'yun pa lang pinagagalitan ko siya. Supposedly kasi, galing si Mei Mei (karakter ni Joe) ng Taiwan at may misyon siyang hanapin ang may-ari ng isang amulet dito."

Nahinto ang taping last Saturday dahil sa tuluy-tuloy na buhos ng ulan. Nu'ng gabi na, nag-decide na lang silang lumipat ng location.

Anyway, through an interpreter, nabatid namin na si Joe ay high school graduate nang ma-discover sa isang commercial. Ang kumpanyang Jungiery ang humahawak ng career niya. 'Di ito nalalayo sa GMA Artist Center at Star Magic dito sa Pilipinas.

Trained siya sa acting, singing, dancing at martial arts. Bawal silang tumaba. Pinagmumulta sila ng 10,000 Taiwanese dollars o P17,000 sa bawat extra pound na nage-gain.

On diet siya, pero mahilig si Joe sa chocolate. May handler pa nga siyang kasama na nagsasabi kung ano lang ang dapat kainin.

Bawal din silang ma-in love habang may kontrata. Kaya sa maniwala kayo o hindi, sinabi ni Joe na wala siyang boyfriend sa ngayon.

Hilig lang niya ang pag-aartista't ang kinikita niya'y pangsarili lang niya. Parehong may pinagkakakitaan ang parents niya.

It is the second time that Taiwanese actress, Joe Chen, visiting Manila. One of her reasons why she loves going to the country is because of the sweet mangoes. So, during her arrival from Taipei last Saturday morning, GMA 7 staffs prepare ripe mangoes for her.

Joe visits the country to shoot “SUGO”, whereas she is one of Richard Gutierrez’s leading ladies.

The first time Joe went to Manila was last year to promote Twin Sisters, a Taiwanese series that made Filipino viewers recognise her.

Joe arrived 10:45, Saturday morning boarding China Airlines. She went straight to the set of “SUGO” at Salazar St., Binondo and there she met Richard and her future friend in the said series, Julianne Lee.

Richard says: “It’s only the first time meeting Joe Chen and I was attracted to her easily. She’s sexy and beautiful. The scenes of us together that was already shoot was the scene where I am scolding her. Supposedly, Mei Mei (Joe’s character) is from Taiwan and she has a mission to find the owner of an amulet here.

The taping last Saturday was stopped due to rain. In the eve of the same day, they decided to change the location.

Anyway, through an interpreter, we found out that Joe was a high school graduate when she was discovered in a commercial. Jungiery Management is the one who holds and manages her career. It is almost the same to GMA Artist Center and Star Magic here in the Philippines.

She’s trained in acting, singing, dancing, and martial arts. They were not allowed to be fat. They have to pay a fine of 10,000 Taiwanese dollars or 17,000 Pesos for every pound that they gain.

She’s on a diet, but Joe loves chocolates. She even has a handler along with her that tells what food she should eat.

It was also prohibited for them to fall in love while they were under the contract. So you believe it or not, Joe doesn’t have a boyfriend at this time.

She just likes acting and the money that she earns was for her self. Both her parents have their own incomes.

She’s the only daughter among the three siblings. She’s in the middle of two boys.

In Taiwan, she’s more known as a TV star. She’s on the same line as Barbie Hsu of Meteor Garden. But they were not under one company. They have different talent agency and TV network.

Minds of Filipino viewers have been thinking who would be the Taiwanese actress that would be paired up with Richard Gutierrez in his newest “telefantasya” (Fantasy series entitled, “SUGO”

Several names of Taiwanese actresses have been given by both fans and media. The speculated Taiwanese actresses are as follows- Penny Lin, Tammy Chen, and Joe Chen.

These names popped out because of the given clue- a Taiwanese actress that has a series shown in the local channel. We all know that Penny Lin appeared in Dolphin Bay and Twin Sisters (to name a few), Tammy appeared in Lavender (were people recognized her), and Joe Chen being in My MVP Valentine (MVP Lover), and in her leading role as one of the twins in Twin Sister opposite Penny Lin. But with the last clue these three names become one. It was said that the Taiwanese actress has already visited the country. People really think that it was already Joe Chen. Last year she visited the country with co-star Wallace Huo to promote Twin Sisters. Cyndi Wang’s name also popped out this time because she also visited the country before with 5566’s Tony Sun and Sam Wang to promote Westside Story. But that was in another TV network.

After days and weeks of speculations, guessing, and clues, it was finally announced on the 31st of May that the Taiwanese actress is indeed Joe Chen. She went to the Philippines May 28. a Saturday morning via China Airlines. She went directly to the set of “SUGO” and there she met her co-stars Richard Gutierrez and Julianne Lee. She also did some pictorials for the series. She will play the character of Mei Mei, a Taiwanese who has a mission to find the owner of an amulet here in the country.

Note: To those who have watched the interview, I want you to know that I only wrote what I remembered. I’ve also edited and changed the wrong information in the news. They showed and said that Joe was the lead star in Snow Angel which was supposed to be Twin Sisters. They also said that she’s starring in a chinovela soon to be aired here with 5566’s Jason Wang which we all know that it was Jason Hsu.

Taiwanese star Joe Chen comes to the Philippines to shoot “The Sugo”. She’s one of the leading ladies of Richard Gutierrez, a Filipino actor, in the said series. She’s the lead star in the “chinovela” Twin Sisters. Another series of hers will be shown here entitled, in Love With A Girl, opposite Jason Hsu of 5566.

Joe on her management, Jungiery:

In Jungiery we were not allowed to be fat or gain weight. If we did, we have to pay a fine of 10,000 Taiwanese dollars or 17,000 Pesos for every pound we gain.

It is also not allowed in the management to fall in love with your co-artists.

Aliw na aliw si Richard sa kapareha. Kuwento niya, hindi ito halos nakakapagsalita ng English noong makasama niya sa taping. Pero kinabukasan, kinakausap na siya nito ng English.

Feeling ni Richard, nailang sandali ang kapareha kaya hindi ito
makapag-isip ng sasabihin.

Sayang at tatlong araw lang itong namalagi sa Pilipinas pero baka
bumalik ito kapag kakailanganin sa taping.

Excited si Richard sa kanyang bagong TV show, lalo na sa flying scenes niya.

Pawang professional stunt experts ang nag-ayos ng flying scenes ni Richard.

Bumilib si Richard nang magawa ng mga ito ang flying scene na gusto nilang gawin sa Mulawin na hindi nila magawa-gawa.

Ang isang nakaka-excite kay Richard ay nang umakyat siya sa building ng Binondo na harness ang gamit niya.
