This is the 3rd time I believe that Angela guested in Jacky's game show, and it has something to do with another new single that entered the charts. "Can't Calm Down (Tsing Bu Xia Lai)" is the title of her latest hit single. Its her fifth straight top 10 hit. With this song, half of Angela's album "Aurora" had hit the top 10, and her album had broken the longevity record. ( Newcomer Michelle and Vickie also had 5 top 10 hits but their debut album only stayed for at most 3 months).

FYI, Angela's album "Aurora" has been in the top 10 for more than 4 months, setting a record for the album with the longest stay in the top 10 in the chinese pop album charts.

Quite rarely do an album (except if one is Jay Chou or S.H.E.) would stay that long on the survey. Angela now really belongs to the big league of Mando-pop stars. She has really become more successful in music than on TV.

Angela Zhang met her Korean counterpart Jang Na-ra for the first time in Beijing yesterday as part of an activity by the city authorities to combat intellectual property piracy.

The pint-sized Taiwanese superstar greeted Jang in Korean, and when the cute Korean singer/actress heard her, she happily accepted. The two are there to sign a short-term contract to promote anti-piracy campaigns in the city. They are optimistic that someday they will be able to do a project together.

Beijing authorities not only signed up these artists to aid in their campaign against piracy, these artists even performed for the people there to encourage them to buy only original-made CDs of their favorite albums and movies.

They know they will lose subscribers from CTI and Asia Plus if they do so. Wais ang mga yan eh. So its place right now, is a color bar. Temporary lang daw, added the CSR.

Emerging pop superstar Angela Zhang marks her return to TV pop idol in two years with an apparent sequel to her last successful series "At the Dolphin Bay" entitled "Hai Tun Ai Shang Mao (Dolphin's In Love With A Cat), CTS' next pop idol drama offering after "Ting Bu Dao De Lien Ren".

During the taping of the show, co-star Eddy Peng recalled his growing up years with Angela as a fellow student back in Canada, who returned to Taiwan to pursue a showbiz career. He described Angela as a "young sister of the dragon", referring to her beautiful yet awesome performance in the last three years since she joined Taiwan's showbiz world.

To other cast players, Eddy said Angela is one of a kind. She would exchange help with some useful tokens of appreciation. Although her mistakes in acting were so many, her smile managed to remain intact. Angela was briefly mentioned in a 16th Golden Melody Awards nomination report released over the weekend.

She was one of the nominees for Best Female Mandarin Pop Artist for "Aurora", ranking her alongside those of A-mei and Stefanie Sun. She has joined the big league after making only 2 full length albums. Quite a giant achievement! Truly, big things come in "small" packages. Pint-sized Angela really does it this time, in real life.

As expected, Angela Zhang Shao Han, who was nominated to a major category in the Golden Melody Awards for the first time as a recording artist, was simply opposed by the virtual titans of the Chinese pop music industry, and her first wild shot at the plum didn't succeed.

Angela's contribution, her second but commercially successful solo album "Aurora", was just another album compared to the likes of Stefanie Sun's, whose European-inspired album helped her won the award that night. Another nominee, Taiwan's pop diva A-mei, was also too strong for Angela.

However, the loss didn't affect her that much.

Angela's next TV drama, her first in nearly two years, will be about twin persons. Yes, she will be portraying as two people here. Eddie Peng will be one of her leading men there. The details of the drama have already be made public since early this year, but CTS has to shelve this for a while because they want to accommodate a historical drama "Lonely Woman's Flower" who are after FTV's "The Doctress".

No, Fan Wei Qi was not a part of the disbanded 4 In Love. Like I said, she doesn't have an English name. 4 In Love is composed of Rainie, Sunnie, Windie and Cloudie. Of the 4, only Rainie is active right now. The rest had retreated to further studies. The group was disbanded as early as 2002.

Fan Fan just looks like big sister, but she is only around her mid-20s.

Guys, don't be surprised about Angela's singing and dancing style nowadays. She is busy experimenting with new ways to approach her fans. BTW, she is now seen more often on Mainland China television than in Taiwan because according to her, she will not rest on her success as a Mando-pop recording artist until she conquers the entire Asian market very successfully.

Wu Chun’s virgin attempt at Ballroom Dancing, lifts 39 kg Angela up single-handedly

Wu Chun & Angela Zhang are learning ballroom dancing for GTV’s upcoming idol drama, Romantic Princess. “Chest-to-chest”, “hugging waist” are inevitable. Petite Angela was in close contact with muscular Chun. Fans of Wu Chun must be green with envy.

In the drama, Wu Chun’s role is from the upper-class society. To prepare for theirroles, Wu Chun, Angela Zhang, Calvin Chen had to learn Waltz from LiuZhen. It’s Wu Chun’s virgin attempt at ballroom dancing but he has the potential. A former gym instructor, Wu Chun impressed the rest with his “skills”. When the music starts, he single-handedly lifted 39kg Angela in a confident manner. Angela hooked her hand on Chun’s neck & she was scared stiff.

Lifting a 50kg weight is an easy feat for Wu Chun, let alone lifting up 39kg Angela. Wu Chun said: “It’s easy to lift Angela up given her physique.”

During his 2nd attempt, Wu Chun had forgotten how to put her down & poor Angela was in mid-air for close to 30 seconds. Dance instructor, Liu Zhen came over to help them & fortunately, no one was hurt in that incident.

Wu Chun is still full of energy despite practising for 5 hours straight.The dance instructor praised him & said he got the potential indancing. Wu Chun was elated.

Wu Chun mentioned that ballroom dancing is a popular dance in Brunei. Even his dad likes it. Since young, his dad hope that Chun will learn ballroom dancing but Chun refuses to. Now, he has to learn because of his new drama.

Angela Zhang learnt tap dancing for one of the songs in her album. Now, she had to learn Waltz. She said that Waltz is more difficult. Because of the difference in height (22 cm) between Wu Chun & her, she had to wear 13 cm heels to practice. Her whole body was aching after the practice.

Angela was embarrassed when Wu Chun had to put his hand on her 23 inch waist. When asked how she felt about being in close contact with Chun, Angela blushed & said: “His muscles are firm. Wu Chun’s very earnest when he dances, so I didn’t think much of it.”
