I love, love, love this series. I started watching this in KBS World since Episode 4 on Ch. 75 when I passed by it accidentally. That week I just finished Princess Hours on DVD so I was interested in the series when I saw YEH. It turned out that particular episode was so hilarious and that got me hooked. They just finished showing Epi 10 last night. Both of them are starting to get jealous of each other(being with other partners), but they're still in denial. I particularly liked the scene by the lake - looking for fireflies. It's so sweet of Taekgi to get so worried when the grandpa told him Jihyeong was guarding the vineyard all by herself - he hurriedly left to look for her - leaving behind his ex (who's so desperate to get Taekgi back). Looking forward to Monday again, nakakabitin talaga. Hope a local station could get this series I'm sure pinoys will like this.

Drama 'Hwangjiny,' targets international market with Ha Ji Won poster

KBS 2TV drama 'Hwangjiny' that is scheduled to air in October is targeting the international market.

'Hwangjiny' will be introduced at MIPCOM 2006, an internationally renowned audiovisual content trade show that is being held in Cannes of France from October 9th to the 13th. 'MIPCOM' is deemed a 'Cannes festival of audiovisual content' utilized to premiere new and upcoming programs and is held in the spring and fall each year in Cannes.

KBS Media that is in charge of the exporting of 'Hwangjiny' commented, "A 'Hwangjiny' poster advertisement will be set up in the main hall entrance of 'Palais des Festivals' sizing 24.6m wide and 11.5m high."

Original plans were to display the young Hwangjiny in a poster, but the hosts of MIPCOM found the photo of Ha Ji Won wearing a traditional head attire and red Hanbok (Korean traditional attire) appealing and proposed to change the photo selection.

KBS Media also said, "We have exclusively leased the MIPCOM advertisement board since 3 years ago and have displayed 'Emperor of the Sea,' 'I'm Sorry, I Love You,' 'A Love to Kill,' and other drama posters. 'Hwangjiny' is the most Korean of them all, and the image of Ha Ji Won is so strong we believe it will attract great attention."

It's a show na they play diff sort of games. The funniest one was nung may naka-mask who would do certain movements tapos ung celebrities should guess what he would do. Parang "dibi-dibidoop..." sinasabi nila...ay basta nakakatawa talaga. :D Watch it guys ;)

about sa pumalit yung Special Crime Investigation: Murder in the Blue House...parang series of Murders siya inside the Blue House (parang Malacanang dito sa atin) tapos 2 investigators were assigned to solve the case pero hindi pa nila natapos imbestigahan yung unang namatay sa Blue House, meron nanaman ulit...suspense filled siya actually not that bad at all...4 episodes lang siya kaya mabilis yung pacing ng story

this morning i chanced on a tv drama aired around 7-7:30am called 'as the river flows' on kbs world. would anybody know about it. i recognize one actor there and he's in 'love or nothing', the older boyfriend of the second sister. the story looks interesting and the actors not really familiar to me. can someone give info re: this drama series.

Just like what kn said, bihira sila mag-ulit. Since last year ang alam ko lang na inulit nila is MISA and Summer Scent (when they opted not to show EL4, siguro para wag mapre-empt. Ayan tuloy, di nag-rate :D)

So may tatak pala ang DVD9. Yung nabibili nyo ba, di rin sync yung audio and video? Haven't tried thos yet kasi sabi ng friend ko from her experience, lagi daw may episodes na di magkasabay ang audio and video.

Just like what kn said, bihira sila mag-ulit. Since last year ang alam ko lang na inulit nila is MISA and Summer Scent (when they opted not to show EL4, siguro para wag mapre-empt. Ayan tuloy, di nag-rate :D)

So may tatak pala ang DVD9. Yung nabibili nyo ba, di rin sync yung audio and video? Haven't tried thos yet kasi sabi ng friend ko from her experience, lagi daw may episodes na di magkasabay ang audio and video.

i think you're referring to 'teen soliloquy' a show about high school students coping with life's ups and down. the main teen actress is go ah ra if i'm not mistaken, she's the girl with hazel brown eyes.

Siya ba yung sinasabi nyo, yung lead guy sa Cloud Stairway? Kamukha nga niya yung sa My Girl pero just like what qnl said, hindi siya ito. His name is Shin Dong Wook, and 2nd time na niyang maging lead sa isang series this year.

Here's the sked guys. Hinanap ko pa yan through the Korean site kaya naloka ulo ko trying to understand Hangeul (beginner pa lang kasi ako ng korean language). Buti na lang I was able to see the program sked with English titles. For next week 'to but some of the shows already started. Oh and syempre ahead ng 1 hour ang Korea k. ;) Sorry kung medyo maliit ung iba. Print screen ko lang yan kasi sobrang laki nung version nila kaya I altered the size. Nababasa pa naman eh. :D (I'm gonna watch out for the drama "Run Now" and it looks like Snow Flower would be replacing Stairway of Clouds)

2006 KBS Acting Awards

MC : Ryu Shi Won, Tak Jae Hoon, Choi Jung Won

Air: 12-31-06 @ 9:45pm. Running time: 160 minutes.

-The ceremony will open up with a Hwang Jini special performance w/ Wang Bit Na and Yoo Youn Ji etc. showing off Korean traditional costumes and dancing.

congrats to everybody who won the KBS Drama Awards...naloka ako sa pagintindi nung mga categories kasi hindi ko talaga makuha nung una pero eventually nagets ko rin...natuwa ako at maraming nakuhang awards si Yoon Eun-hye sa KBS compared sa MBC Drama Awards na isa lang ata...hindi ko nakita yung Tap Dancing performance pero gusto ko yung duet nina YYH at Oh Man-seok...mas naenjoy ko yung this year's ceremonies compared to last year's...very deserving yung mga nanalo...and maganda nga yung bagong drama ni Chae Rim sa KBS

Son of First President Sues TV Drama ‘Seoul 1945’

Rhee In-soo, an adopted son of South Korea’s first president Syngman Rhee, and Jang Byung-hye, a daughter of former prime minister Jang Taek-sang Thursday filed a lawsuit against producers of ``Seoul 1945,’’ a popular KBS weekly historical soap opera.

They claim that the drama distorts history and belittles the achievements of their late fathers.

``The drama seriously defames both the former president and Jang as it portrays them as collaborators with the Japanese and the United States, hence abandoning a unified Korea. Also the drama says that the two tacitly approved the assassination of the center-left leader Yeo Un-hyong,’’ claimed Rhee.

The drama, which started being aired in January, is set around 1945 right after the Japanese colonial period ended and the nation was engulfed by ideological turmoil.

It is the second time ``Seoul 1945’’ has become embroiled in controversy over distortion of history, following a press conference held by a right-wing group in June, asking for a halt to the broadcast and threatening a campaign asking people to boycott the television subscription fee,

Kim Hyun-joon, an official from the KBS Drama Team, said that such an accusation is hard to accept as dramas can always reflect the writer’s imagination. ``Regarding the parts related to real people, we have tried to reflect the historical truth as much as possible. We only use fictional elements for people who did not exist,’’ he said. ``Since we find such an accusation incomprehensible, we are going to take legal counter measures.’’

Conservative groups have complained from the start that the drama does not do justice to right-wing figures whose historical evaluation, they argue, is not yet complete, while the leftists are generally portrayed as considerate and concerned for the future of the nation.

However, others say that the drama makes the viewers reconsider history and sheds light on leftists after the country’s liberation as their contributions to the nation have been much neglected under the banner of anti-communism in South Korea.

Pumirma Noong October Last year ang ABS-CBN sa KBS Para sila ang Makakuha ng Karamihan sa mga Korean Dramas ng KBS.

Pero may Info akong Natanggap na Hindi kasama sa Pinirmahan nilang Kontrata ang mga History Dramas at mga TV Novels ng KBS1 at KBS2,Puro Mini Series lang sila [Which is Only airing on KBS2]

Sayang naman Yung kontrata kung Ganun-ganun lang,Dapat sulitin ng ABS yung Contract nila sa KBS,Kasi naman yung mga Mini-Series ng KBS2,Madalas Flop.[Kung sa SBS nga Lang,Talo na ang KBS2,What else sa KBS1 at MBC Pa?] Kaya mahirap rin mamili ng mga Mini Series dun.

Paunawa:Hindi po Mababa ang rating nito dahil sa Hindi maganda ang Drama Series,It's just that hindi naging fair ang Drama at Mas Kinilingan ang Komunistang Korea,Hindi nga raw dapat Seoul 1945 ang Title nito Kundi "Pyongyang 1945".

But as a whole,Napakaganda ng Series.

Sorry ha, destiny cable kasi ako. But from what Sky subscribers were saying before, ginawa ng premium ang arirang and pinalit ang KBS World. Pero you'd see naman the KBS world logo onscreen.

One big problem with GMA.. maganda nga yung series.. kaso chop chop naman ng GMA .. nasayang lang yung ganda ng series.. Meron akong pinanood ang ganda ng series niyon..naku po ng pinlabas ng GMA-over QTV II ..naku poh talaga as in chop chop nag nangyari.. diyan ka maiinis talaga.. I just do hope GMA 7 knows how to value true entertainment..

... so the west have an advantage coz they can watch 1 earlier episode, for those in asia, if you are willing to wake up or not sleep just to catch the pilot.. go ahead!

Earlier tayo ng 1 hour sa Seoul so yung episode 1 ng Dalja's Spring will air at 3 am today and second run mamayang 9 pm. Then yung episode 2 tom again at 3am tapos next week na yung second run sa Wed at 9 pm.

cutee_mae ~ yung weekeend drama, every 7 pm sat and sun. Pero yung first run every sun and mon at 1-2 am. This weekend na ata ending ng Chill Sisters... not sure though.
