A long-awaited new KAT-TUN series starting from this month's issue, SECRET FACE. We're going to introduce you to the unknown, "frank side" of the 6 members! For the first round, Kamenashi Kazuya and Taguchi Junnosuke are here. Well then, what sorts of "secrets" will be disclosed!?


It's been 5 years since KAT-TUN was formed, and finally made a CD debut on the 22nd of May. Have there been any changes in your impressions of each other?

TAGUCHI
I don't think there's been a lot of change. But we've all passed 20 years old~. Ah, speaking of which, since we've all turned 20, we haven't yet been out together for a proper meal.

KAMENASHI
That's right. If we've got the time I'd want to go. And were we talking about my impressions of Taguchi? Hmm... y'know Taguchi is... he kinda has the image of being the one out of all members who's always been deeply involved in things.

TAGUCHI
I feel that Kame has always been good to me. Even in our private lives, we've always been pretty good friends. We talk about cars and stuff.

KAMENASHI
I didn't know much about cars, so I always got him to explain things to me. But where other things are concerned, I'm always the one taking care of him (laugh). I teach him about lots of things and stuff.

TAGUCHI
Hahaha. We're the same age, so our interests are pretty much the same.

KAMENASHI
But it's good that our tastes match, because I'm the type to go all out for something, and Taguchi does everything calmly.

TAGUCHI
Even so, it's not like we were good friends from the beginning (laugh). When we first met, Kame taught me how to choreograph a little, but he gave me a really bad impression (laugh).

KAMENASHI
Sorry, sorry. At first, it was like a chance to reassert myself, but it seems I was really rude~. But I'm thoroughly improving myself to be a better man (laugh).

TAGUCHI
You're like a lone wolf sometimes. I wonder if you've changed at all these 3~4 years.

KAMENASHI
That's because I've never been too good with people. The only people I'm good with could amount up to just Taguchi.

TAGUCHI
Speaking of which, the two of us have gone somewhere for fun before. Ah, two years ago we went to the hot springs!

KAMENASHI
I got my big bro to handle the setting and we went to watch the first sunrise of the year~. After the countdown concert and after our first temple visit of the year, we took the first train to Izu. Furthermore, that train was the first of the year, so it left quite an impression.

TAGUCHI
I remember I was really rushed for time and was panicking (laugh). When we reached the hotel's entrance hall I turned around and saw the morning sun came up like BWAAA. It was great.


Have there been any changes with regards to work?

TAGUCHI
Everyone has always been working hard since before our debut. They've been working responsibly. Our individual workload is probably going to increase from now, but I think everyone's doing a good job. We like our solo jobs anyway.

KAMENASHI
We love it (laugh).

TAGUCHI
I got to do the drama "Happy!" this time, and it was fun ♪

KAMENASHI
I wasn't able to watch Taguchi's acting closely like in "Ganbatte Ikimashoi", so I'll be looking forward to this round. I was the one who taught you tennis after all (laugh).

TAGUCHI
You didn't teach me, did you! The one who taught me was Akanishi-kun! (laugh)


From here on, is there any project that the both of you would like to take on together?

TAGUCHI
I want to act in Kame's DoCoMo CMs! As a penguin character (laugh).

KAMENASHI
Your face can't be seen that way (laugh).

TAGUCHI
Then I'll take off the face part.

KAMENASHI
Hahaha. But you know, it was good that we got to do a song together in the album.

TAGUCHI
Ah, we did, didn't we (laugh). Yup, "SPECIAL HAPPINESS". It was fun~. It was a great, mellow song.

KAMENASHI
It was a song with a love theme, and a kind of warm feeling. It would be good to listen to it before sleeping.

TAGUCHI
Perhaps our voices really match; I thought the harmony was pretty too.

KAMENASHI
Also, it's not rap, but there were some discussions regarding the lyrics. But it was fun going into the recording studio and recording.

TAGUCHI
It was all good; like the order of singing, or who should sing which part, and that we were to do the song together. We also had a lot of emotion put into it.


By the way, please tell us a secret that only you know of each other!

KAMENASHI
Taguchi's a romantist, you know.

TAGUCHI
That's true. But while I feel romance, I'm the type who doesn't put it into action. The god of romance just doesn't show up in front of me, see...
And about Kame's secret? He's a really spoiled kid.

KAMENASHI
Eh!? Is that so?

TAGUCHI
When it's work or when he tenses up he's not that way though...

KAMENASHI
Ah, private life, you mean. That's right. Like when we're going out to eat, I'll say "Taguchi, is there anything good? Check for shops~" (laugh).
