Nakikita ko talaga kang Aling Eloida si Lady Han. Masungit ngunit nice minsan. Tinuturuan niya kasi ang batang Sabina kung paano maging isang magaling na Salamanca. :) Sina Katrina Halili at si Gina Alajar ay parang sina Geum Young at si Lady Choi. Si Sabina naman ay parang si Jang Geum. Well ang pagkakaiba talaga ng MAJIKA at ng Jewel In The Palace ay ang MAJIKA ang concept ay magic, salamanca ang maganda naman ang mga production,costume, props at location.

nako sinabi mo pa..haha ilang beses nako umiyak because of these TV series..ewan ko ba dalang dala ako sa kanila..wala na nga ako pakialam kung makita ko ng buong pamilya ko including our maids na umiiyak..haha feeling ko nga nasanay na sila sa akin..chka oki lang un cla din naman umiiyak..haha..nako nung death scene tlga ni Madam Jung nagamit ko tlga un kumot ko pangpunas ng luha..grabe kasi..lalo na nung namatay si lady han..1 week akong pumapasok ng maga mata ko..haha tawa nga ng tawa blockm8s ko haha:) madami pa kong iniyakan jan..hagulgol pa kamo..nung napalayas pa lang un mom ni JG at binabasa niya un letter ni Lady han..dun nag start ang paka baliw ko sa JITP..haha:)


Haha. Mabuti ka pa, naeexpress mo ang emotions mo, including bawling in front of them! hehe, grabe powers mo sis, bow na ko.:p at may iba nang porpuse ang kumot sau, eheheh. I prefer kasi na mag-emote mag-isa, kaya nung nagmarathon na ko, mag-isa, ilang ulit na ko muntik-muntikang madala, but the feeling of seeing those death scenes isnt as moving as 1st frst time u saw it. May effect, pero di na masyadong tindi.

AS in grabe, sa gma ko 1st nakita yung pagkamatay ni Lady Han, dun palang nag-uusap sina Jg about the palace, nagcocolect na yung luha ko, wah~!!! mabuti nalng at walang tumulo na isa, kac at dat time, completo talaga kami sa harap ng tv, tv addicks kasi pamilya ko eh. Yung katulong namin included pa at yung bf ng ate koh at brother niya. Buti nalang talaga I was able to hold myself, huhu. I cried inside my room, with my pillow atop my head, becoz I dun want my folks to hear my sobs...huhu.

Eps. 43
JangGeum is taken to NaeSiBoo for taking out the daily report on the King’s health but gets released with the help of the Lord SangSun. Thinking this is a golden chance to get rid of JangGeum, Court Lady Choi protests to Lord SangSun but he turns her down.
Choi, PanSool and Court Lady Choi take advantage of the position SangChaek (a position in the eunuch department) and corners Lord SangSun for protecting JangGEum. At last, Lord SangSun has no choice but to report the incident of JangGeum, taking the daily report on the King’s health to the Queen…

Eps. 44
To unveil the truth about sulfur fed duck incident, they confiscate articles from the royal kitchens and Choi’s business to thoroughly investigate. In GeumYoung’s confiscated spice box, a poisonous mushroom is discovered and Court Lady Choi but GeumYoung strongly protests.
On the other hand, JangGeum gets closer to finding out the answers to the doubts about King JoongJong’s diseases.
Eps. 45
With help of JangGeum, Court Lady Choi and GeumYoung clear themselves of a false accusation of using poisonous mushroom in the King’s meal. JangGeum and Jung, YoonSoo have conflicting diagnoses and prescriptions, and JangGeum is put in charge of providing treatment to King JoongJong at last. Court lady Choi and GeumYoung firmly believe that Jung, YoonSoo has plotted against them. With YeolI, they plot against Jung…

A kitchen maids hears noises in the jar room and reports to Lady Min. Jang-Geum arrives at the jar room to face Lady Choi. Lady Choi raises her arms to slap Jang-Geum but Jang-Geum grabs her hand and states if she doesn’t turn herself in Geum-Young will take all the blame instead. Jang-Geum tells Lady Choi to turn herself in then leaves. Outside Lady Min and Chan-Ee scold Jang-Geum saying they can just call the guards but Jang-Geum says she wishes Lady Choi to turn herself in.
Lady Choi steps out and begins to walk, with each step she remembers the way Lady Jung and Lady Han begged her to do the right thing before they each passes away. Lady Choi kneels in front of Myung-Ee’s grave to talk to Myung-Ee. Lady Choi wonders how life would be different had Myung-Ee never saw her putting poision in the queen’s food, and how things would be if Myung-Ee and her switched lives. She remembers her childhood laughters with Myung-Ee and Lady Han. Outside the cave, she sees a red ribbon hanging on a tree like when she was little and she tries to get the ribbon. Lady Choi gets the ribbon but slips and falls off the cliff. She grabs a twig hanging on the side of the cliff and remembers a similar time when she was little. Back then Lady Choi was scared to jump off but Myung-Ee and Lady Han caught her, so Lady Choi smiles and lets go of the grip on the twig and Lady Choi falls into the cliff of open forest.

Min Jung-Ho tells Jang-Geum where Lady Choi’s body was found and Jang-Geum replies that’s near her mother’s grave. Lady Min and Chan-Ee are saddened by the news of Lady Choi dying but Yun-Saeng reminds them how Lady Jung and Han died. Right Prime Minister Oh and Choi Pan Sul are given the death penalty. Geum-Young is to be banned from the palace forever. Before Geum-Young leaves, she sends a child messenger to get Jang-Geum. Geum-Young hands a letter to Jang-Geum saying it’s a letter Jang-Geum’s mother wrote to Jang-Geum. Lady Choi had told Geum-Young to detroy it but Geum-Young kept it.

The nae-ee-ohn staff is busy trying to find a treatment for the king. Lady Choi tells Geum-Young and Yuh-Ri that Jang-Geum must be trying to investigate the incident that led to Lady Han’s jailing and death. Right Prime Minister Oh goes to see the record book room guard to tell him that Jang-Geum indeed stole the king’s record book. The guard tells Oh that the matter is not for Oh to be invovled in and leaves. Choi Pan Sul’s messenger goes to see the guard next day and delivers a letter to him.

Nae-ee-ohn head doctor continues to examine the king. The lady queen asks what’s going on with the king. Lady Choi reports the royal kitchen is preparing a precious dish for the king since he hasn’t been eating well. Nae-ee-ohn head doctor whispers something in Yuh-Ri’s ears and she says she’ll follow the instructions. The medical staff are conflicted about what the king’s illness is and how they should treat him.

Jang-Geum is curious about the king’s health and asks Doctor Shin for medical books. Doctor Shin mentions a book. Jang-Geum tries to look for the book. The other nurses say Yuh-Ri is the one who’s keeping the book. Shin-Bi asks Jang-Geum why she’s always so curious about the king’s health. Jang-Geum finally tells Shin-Bi about Lady Han. Shin-Bi agrees to help Jang-Geum. Shin-Hi spies on Yuh-Ri who cooks some herb and throws away all the leftover as if detroying evidence. The other nurses comment how it’s strange that Yuh-Ri’s medicine for the king seems to change color daily.

Jang-Geum and Shin-Bi approach the medicine scholar to see what the nurses what herbs the other nurses have been using. They see nothing wrong with Yuh-Ri’s record but they continue to investigate the situation. Min Jung-Ho is investigating a treason based on a map he received which resembles the map that was stolen by a foreign woman who attacked him a long time ago. Min runs into Jang-Geum who is also rushing to investigating the Yuh-Ri matter. Shin-Bi and Jang-Geum find out the palace maids who are being treated by Yuh-Ri never received the medicines she took from the scholar.

At the town inn, Right Prime Minister Oh, Choi Pan Sul, and the record room guard meet. The inn hostess spies on the men who are talking about Jang-Geum. Min Jung-Ho gets a tip from the inn hostess, panicks and rushes back to the palace to look for jang-geum. The palace head guard meets with Lady Choi again. Lady Choi states she now has a witness on her side who speaks against Jang-Geum (the guard who met with Oh and Choi Pan Sul). The head guard has no choice but to report the incident to the lady queen. Lady Choi wants him to report to the king instead but the head guard insists he’s too ill at the moment.

The lady queen is notified that Jang-Geum read the king’s record without permission and is angry. The lady queen states the matter cannot be forgiven. Jang-Geum is captured by the guards. The head guard tells Jang-Geum there is nothing he can do. Lady Choi and Geum-Young are elated at their success.

Geum-Young presents the dish of precious meat to the king. Lady Choi praises how much trouble Geum-Young went through in front of the king. The king is pleased.

At night, Jang-Geum is covered with white cloth and taken away in secret by the guards. The Choi Pan Sul’s messenger and Young-Roh watch the event. One of the guards has a bottle of poision drink. Jang-Geum is taken to the forest and given the poisionous drink.

Back at palace, Lady Choi tells Geum-Young that Jang-Geum has fianlly met her end. Just as they’re about to celebrate their success, guards arrive at their door. The guards state the king has fallen unconscious from eating the food prepared by Geum-Young, thus Geum-Young is taken away by the guards for further investigation and questionning. During the questionning meeting the head doctor turns his back on Lady Choi and Geum-Young by suggesting that something must have gone wrong with Geum Young’s cooking and a similar incident has occured before. Lady Choi is shocked by the head doctor’s behavior and tries to defend Geum-Yuong but at last Geum-Young is held captive until further investigation.

Doctor Shin and Doctor Jung agree that the culprit must not be food as Jang-Geum has suggested.

The nurses wonder where Jang-Geum is since she’s been missing for a day. Yun-Saeng finds out Geum-Young is captured from Lady Min and Chan-Ee. Shin-Bi arrives at Yun-Saeng’s looking for Jang-Geum. Not finding her there, Shin-Bi goes to look for her with Jang-Duk. Jang-Duk is out of town but a man tells Shin-Bi that Jang-Geum hasn’t returned since she went back to palace.

Kang Duk Gu and wife find out about Geum-Young and start dancing. Shin-Bi arrives then to look for Jang-Geum.

Jang-Geum is covered with white sheet and brought to a room. The guards remove her mask and in comes the lady queen. The lady queen tells Jang-Geum she set up Jang-Geum’s fake death because the lady queen believes Jang-Geum can clear up the king’s real health concern. The lady queen tells Jang-Geum must uncover the conspiracy if she wants to return to the palace, or else she will disappear forever

hello mga jewels!
ang dami nang nangyari last week sa JITP pero wala akong napanood kahit isa. Waah!!! Love story pa mandin nila Jang Geum at Kapitan ang nafofocus ngayon.

Pero babawi ako mamaya. Sana nga lang yung bus na sasakyan ko eh JITP ang palabas. Kasi naman napansin ko yung conductor na nasakyan ko last week eh iisa lang pala at fave niya yung kabila. natulog na lang ako.

hello..i don't mean to butt in but i just wanna help..i think lord sang sun is the other eunuch (the one who is in charge of the eunuch library wherein the king's medical records are kept)..eunuch jang byeon is the head of all the eunuchs..lord sang sun is the one whom pan sool choi (madam choi's brother) is trying to bribe in exchange for jang geum's persecution, if you've watched yesterday's episode..dr. jung yeon soo is the chief royal doctor..he made a serious mistake regarding the king's past diagnosis on his sickness..i hope i made it clear on who's who..hehe..

eto, mejo haggard kc nag-su2mmer class me ngaun..i took two major subjects in advance pra nde mcyadong mabigatan, 'coz i'm already graduating next school year, sa wakas..sa halip n nagpa2hinga dhil nsa summer vacation ung iba, eto ako't nagku2mahog sa mga paperworks sa e-commerce at strategic mgt..i got a copy of the philippine star last palm sunday..andun ung over-all ratings ng GMA 7 sa Mega Manila for the 1st quarter of 2006..#1 program sa weeknights ang JITP naka2loka tlga..at isa or dlwng programs lng ng ABS ang nakapasok sa bawat categories ng AGB Phils..35% ang nakalagay na ratings ng JITP pero para skin, kulang ung nilagay nila hehe..nde b dpt mga 40%+??? ;)

for global-destiny cable subscribers, channel 59 ang arirang, 60 ang kbs world. if i'm not mistaken, ymk's show love in asia is aired from 1pm-2pm every saturday..around this time kasi dati naabutan ko siya ng 3-4 nung nagssurf ako ng channel tapos nalipat yung timeslot ng around 1-2pm. :)

at night, jang-geum is covered with white cloth and taken away in secret by the guards. the choi messenger and young-roh watch the event. one of the guards has a bottle of poision drink. jang-geum is taken to the forest and given the poisionous drink.

back at palace, choi-sg tells geum-young that jang-geum has fianlly met her end. just as they're about to celebrate their success, guards arrive at their door. the guards state the king has fallen unconscious from eating the food prepared by geum-young, thus geum-young is taken away by the guards for further investigation and questionning. during the questionning meeting the head master turns his back on choi-sg and geum-young by suggesting that something must have gone wrong w/ geum=young's cooking and a similar incident has occured before. choi-sg is shocked by the head master's behavior and tries to defend geum-yuong but at last geum-young is held captive until further investigation. master shin and master jung agree that the culprit must not be food as jang-geum has suggested.

the nurses wonder where jang-geum is since she's been missing for a day. yun-saeng finds out geum-young is captured from min-sg and chan-ee. shin-bi arrives at yun-saeng's looking for jang-geum. not finding her there shin-bi goes to look for her at jang-duk's. jang-duk is out of town but a man tells shin-bi jang-geum hasn't returned since she went back to palace. the kang's find out about geum-young and start dancing. shin-bi arrives at the kang's looking for jang-geum. jang-geum is covered w/ white sheet and brought to a room. the guards remove her mask and in comes the lady queen. the lady queen tells jang-geum she set up jang-geum's fake death because the lady queen believes jang-geum can clear up the king's real health concern. the lady queen tells jang-geum must uncover the conspiracy if she wants to return to the palace, or else she will disappear forever.

the lady queen asks jang-geum if she can heal the king and clear up the confusion. jang-geum states yes. jang-geum is escorted to a remote house by the head guard. at the house jang-duk and min jung-ho are waiting for jang-geum. jang-duk and min-jh update jang-geum on recent events in the palace and the king's condition. the head guard leaves telling jang-geum she must solve the mystery speedily or else she will never again return to the palace. jang-geum reads medical journals and practices what she learns. jang-duk assists.

back at palace min jung-ho informs the nae-ee-ohn staff jang-geum went away to jeju island for a little while. the nurses and the masters state their surprise. elder oh tells the staff to stop making such fuss over jang-geum the medicine maid when the king is ill. master shin and master jung (woon baek) examine the king and they agree with the head master's diagnosis. choi-sg continues to argue the culprit doesn't come from the kitchen. head master Jung whispers something in yuh-ri's ear. yuh-ri sneaks into the kitchen and plants some poision in geum-young's secret ingredient jar.

at night, jang-geum is covered with white cloth and taken away in secret by the guards. the choi messenger and young-roh watch the event. one of the guards has a bottle of poision drink. jang-geum is taken to the forest and given the poisionous drink.

back at palace, choi-sg tells geum-young that jang-geum has fianlly met her end. just as they're about to celebrate their success, guards arrive at their door. the guards state the king has fallen unconscious from eating the food prepared by geum-young, thus geum-young is taken away by the guards for further investigation and questionning. during the questionning meeting the head master turns his back on choi-sg and geum-young by suggesting that something must have gone wrong w/ geum=young's cooking and a similar incident has occured before. choi-sg is shocked by the head master's behavior and tries to defend geum-yuong but at last geum-young is held captive until further investigation. master shin and master jung agree that the culprit must not be food as jang-geum has suggested.

the nurses wonder where jang-geum is since she's been missing for a day. yun-saeng finds out geum-young is captured from min-sg and chan-ee. shin-bi arrives at yun-saeng's looking for jang-geum. not finding her there shin-bi goes to look for her at jang-duk's. jang-duk is out of town but a man tells shin-bi jang-geum hasn't returned since she went back to palace. the kang's find out about geum-young and start dancing. shin-bi arrives at the kang's looking for jang-geum. jang-geum is covered w/ white sheet and brought to a room. the guards remove her mask and in comes the lady queen. the lady queen tells jang-geum she set up jang-geum's fake death because the lady queen believes jang-geum can clear up the king's real health concern. the lady queen tells jang-geum must uncover the conspiracy if she wants to return to the palace, or else she will disappear forever.

the lady queen asks jang-geum if she can heal the king and clear up the confusion. jang-geum states yes. jang-geum is escorted to a remote house by the head guard. at the house jang-duk and min jung-ho are waiting for jang-geum. jang-duk and min-jh update jang-geum on recent events in the palace and the king's condition. the head guard leaves telling jang-geum she must solve the mystery speedily or else she will never again return to the palace. jang-geum reads medical journals and practices what she learns. jang-duk assists.

back at palace min jung-ho informs the nae-ee-ohn staff jang-geum went away to jeju island for a little while. the nurses and the masters state their surprise. elder oh tells the staff to stop making such fuss over jang-geum the medicine maid when the king is ill. master shin and master jung (woon baek) examine the king and they agree with the head master's diagnosis. choi-sg continues to argue the culprit doesn't come from the kitchen. head master Jung whispers something in yuh-ri's ear. yuh-ri sneaks into the kitchen and plants some poision in geum-young's secret ingredient jar.

Kapitan will be exiled to the Ming Dynasty kasi sya ang nag-request sa king na gawing personal physician nya si jang-geum. but the ministers opposed to that. they felt like kapitan committed a crime for pushing jg to be his personal physician, so the ministers asked the king to punish kapitan...yun nga, he was exiled. although di kaya ni jg, pero kinaya nya dahil sa pagmamahal nya kay kapitan...dahil ipinagpalit ni kapitan ang pagpapa-exile nya sa pag-practice ni jg as a physician. sacrifice of love ika nga!

sa later part, nung nagkaroon ng sakit yung king that the only way to cure his sickness is through surgery. eh crime pa yun that time. so again, the ministers opposed to her and they asked the king to punish jg. but then the king ordered the chief eunuch to bring jg to kapitan secretly. everyone thought that she ran away from her responsibilities as the physician. then the king gave an order to look for her and kill her. di nila alam na kasama na nya si kapitan na nasa Josun pa rin that time (everyone thought that he's in ming dynasty already). so they ran away from where authorities are. so yun! thought pinaghiwalay sila ng king, pero pinagsama din sila. did my explanation help you???

i've been following and reading this thread for a number of days now, and it is no doubt that you guys truly are fans of JITP. i am a GMA-7 public affairs researcher and we will be featuring the craze/fanaticism behind jewel in the palace.

now, i really need to find an obsessive fan of jewel in the palace or lee young ae. yun bang tipong nagsusumigaw na fan talaga siya - with matching costumes, posters, cds, dvds at kung ano ano pa na nagpapakitang isa siyang baliw na fan. i've been searching and so far, wala pa talaga kong nakikitang unique / special / extraordinary fan worthy to be featured.

so since this is the jewel in the palace thread, im positive na matutulungan niyo ko regarding this. baka naman may kakilala kayo that fits the description. i am also trying to find a JEWEL IN THE PALACE FANS CLUB here in the phils... kahit hindi talaga recognized fans club basta there's something special about the group na ginagawa nila (let's say every weekend nag-popost review ng episodes, nag-aaral mag korean, nagdedress-up as jang geum) and the like. basta something of human interest.

4th biggest buyer of ‘Asianovelas’

THE Philippines is the fourth biggest buyer of Asianovelas, according to Leng Raymundo, ABS-CBN vice president for program acquisition.

Raymundo, who is also the network’s most-traveled executive, told Inquirer Entertainment that Japan is the top buyer, China the next biggest buyer, and then Taiwan.

Philippine-made telenovelas, like Jericho Rosales’ “Pangako sa ’Yo,” have also been exhibited in trade shows abroad, and Malaysia has, in fact, acquired the local soap.

Raymundo said the popularity of Asianovelas, which have become a staple for the prime-time programming of both ABS-CBN and GMA 7, could be attributed to the similarity in the cultures of these biggest buyers.

“Asians apparently have the same sentiments and sensibilities,” she observed. “There’s also that kilig (thrill over romantic team-ups) factor in the shows that is also a common denominator in choosing what shows to buy.”

An Asianovela with a feisty heroine always scores high with top buyers, Raymundo said.

Other considerations, she said, are romance and comedy values of a show, plus action sequences.

So far, the all-time top rater among the Asianovelas is “Meteor Garden,” which starred the popular Taiwanese boy group F4.

Raymundo stressed the cost-effectiveness of airing foreign acquired shows, saying that buying an Asianovela was less expensive than producing a local show in the magnitude of “Panday,” even if the network has to dub the show in Filipino and create a local theme song for the show.

The network, she said, also spends a sizeable amount in promoting an Asianovela even if the stars are not here physically for media events.

“If their schedules allow it, we always invite the stars to come here,” Raymundo said. In the Philippines, Raymundo bids against rival network GMA 7 for Asianovelas.

She missed out on “Jewel in the Palace,” which is now a ratings ruler on GMA 7, but she did not regret this, she said. “We have different tastes. I rely mostly on my guts when I bid for a show. So far, my guts have not failed me.”

Starting last April 16 Unni's is not connected anymore with the said radio station. It's not still confirm I nvr got the chance to have any article nor other source of Unni's leaving the radio station. hi sa die hard fans ng jewel in the palace at ni ms. yang mi kyung! bago lang ako sa thread ng jewel in the palace sa thread kase ako ni ms. yang mi kyung laging nagpupunta.... pero matagal ko na binabasa mga messages nyo.... anywayz totoo bang malapit na matapos ang jewel in the palace!!! :eek: ibig sabihin wala na tayong mapapanood gabi gabi... alam nyo ba sa totoo lang ang jewel in the palace lang ako na korea novela na ipinalabas ng GMA na talagang sobra sobra akong nadala at nabaliw, ito lang ang asianovela na talagang napaiyak ako lalo na nung mamatay si mama han!!! para kong maloloka non na konte nalang aatakihin na ko sa sobrang kakaiyak, sa totoo lang isang linggo ako iyak ng iyak at magang maga ang mata ko ng mamatay si lady han!!..... talagang masasabe ko na ang jewel in the palace ang nagiisang asianovela na napalapit ang loob ko lalo na kay lady han, sobra sobra akong nadala sa kanila mula sa pagiyak, sa paghihirap, etc..... kaya sobrang pasasalamat ko sa GMA at pinalabas nila ang jewel in the palace.... yun lang :)

hi po ate eiram :) thank u po sa pagwelcome nyo sakin dito sa thread ni mama nim natin :) ..... 1 month nalang pala po ang jewel in the palace!:eek: ..... anywayz ate eiram meron bang GMA channel sa China? kase po papunta na kami next week dun, sana meron po kase para kong mababaliw kapag hindi ako makakapanood ng jewel in the palace kahit isang araw man lang!!! lalo na po yung episode na magpapakita si mama nim kay jang geum, hindi po ako makakapayag na hindi mapanood yung episode na iyon, kaya tatanongin ko lang po sa inyo ate eiram kung meron ba po GMA channel sa china... yun lang thank u po ulit sa iyo sa pag welcome sakin dito sa thread ni mama nim natin :D :)

kang duk-goo catches a glimpse of the retired jae-jo-sg meeting with elder oh. kang runs home to report his sighting to his wife and min jung-ho. min jung-ho instructs kang to continue his watchful eyes on elder oh until everything's cleared up.

mrs. kang watches as master choi is being taken custody by guards. inside the palace choi-sg is dragged to jail by the guards as well. master choi, choi-sg, and geum-young dressed down to felony attire and cuffed to chairs, receive violent questioning from the master of punishment dept. young-roh watches the choi's fate and goes to yun-saeng to beg for forgiveness. young-roh tells yun-saeng jang-geum was sent away to die. yun-saeng is traumatized by the news. min-sg and chan-ee call shin-bi to examine a weeping yun-saeng. shin-bi tells yun-saeng jang-geum is ok and whispers the truth in her ears.

min jung-ho visits jang-geum to tell her elder oh ordered the capture of choi-sg, master choi and geum-young. jang-geum tells min-jh she has found the answer to the king's illness but if she uncovers the truth it will go against choi-sg and geum-young. jang-geum takes time alone to reflect on what she should do next.

choi-sg and geum-young are cellmates in the jail. jang-geum pays them a visit. the jailmates are surprised to see her alive. min jung-ho waits for jang-geum outside the jailcell. choi-sg accuses jang-geum of putting something in geum-young's jar. jang-geum replies she does not use such low measure and gives them a last chance to survive. jang-geum tells them to plead forgiveness from han-sg. geum-young lashes out at jang-geum saying she will do no such thing as plead from jang-geum. jang-geum leaves and exchanges looks with min who understands what she went through inside. jang-geum and min jung-ho walk back to the hideaway side by side but without exchange of words.

shin-bi delivers a letter from yun-saeng to jang-geum. in jail, choi-sg tells geum-young not to worry because surely elder oh won't desert them at a time like this. the choi messenger arrives at jail. choi-sg asks him to find out what elder oh plans to do and what's happening to her brother. jang-geum continues to reflect on what she must do now. she spends a whole day and then the night deciding what to do.

meanwhile the retired jae-jo-sg and elder oh start building their alliance. in the punishment dept. the master uses violence to solicit a confession out of the choi's but they insist geum-young didn't poision the king. jang-geum and min jung-ho arrive at the punishment dept. and state that the king's illness was not caused by food.

Lee Young-Ae, "half Ji Jin-Hee and half Im Ho would make a perfect man"


"Half Sir Min and Half Joong Jong would be perfect"

Dae Jang Geum's Hallyu star Lee Young-Ae revealed her ideal man.

Lee Young-Ae commented on her ideal man when she appeared in a popular TV show of Zhejiang TV during her visit to China on March 16. When asked what kind of man she thinks would be perfect, she answered that "if you combined half of Min Jeong-Ho (Ji Jin-Hee) and half of King Joong Jong (Im Ho), that would make a perfect man."

The MC, who claimed herself to be an avid Ji Jin-Hee fan, asked her what Ji is like in real life. "He is very funny, and also very delicate. He takes good care of people around him," Lee answered, praising Ji. "But I'm afraid a man like Sir Min whom he played is just too perfect to exist in the real world," she said.

Also, she humbly said it was a result of luck and fate that she got to work in Dae Jang Geum.

She is said to have enticed the audience and the emcees with her well-known gentle smile throughout the show.

hi sa die hard fans ng jewel in the palace at ni ms. yang mi kyung! bago lang ako sa thread ng jewel in the palace sa thread kase ako ni ms. yang mi kyung laging nagpupunta.... pero matagal ko na binabasa mga messages nyo.... anywayz totoo bang malapit na matapos ang jewel in the palace!!! :eek: ibig sabihin wala na tayong mapapanood gabi gabi... alam nyo ba sa totoo lang ang jewel in the palace lang ako na korea novela na ipinalabas ng GMA na talagang sobra sobra akong nadala at nabaliw, ito lang ang asianovela na talagang napaiyak ako lalo na nung mamatay si mama han!!! para kong maloloka non na konte nalang aatakihin na ko sa sobrang kakaiyak, sa totoo lang isang linggo ako iyak ng iyak at magang maga ang mata ko ng mamatay si lady han!!..... talagang masasabe ko na ang jewel in the palace ang nagiisang asianovela na napalapit ang loob ko lalo na kay lady han, sobra sobra akong nadala sa kanila mula sa pagiyak, sa paghihirap, etc..... kaya sobrang pasasalamat ko sa GMA at pinalabas nila ang jewel in the palace.... yun lang :)
