Hola dux meister, I'll be going back to San Diego for a while, I'm waiting for my paperwork from USVA to get my disability rating result, then probably retire in Phillipines. The Gulf War Syndrome finally caught up with me so it's hard for me to continue working. Besides, I have to use my GI bill ( educational fund) before I lose it. Too much work and not enough play gives me a lot of gray hair.

Gas here is going down also - From $2.99 Regular to $2.65 (Chevron) Arco is like $2.53 now.
Walang magagawa, we need to buy gas, kahit mahal. Garahe mga monster SUV dito.
Prediction is $1.99 before winter.

I'm not a graphics designer, but there are lots of Schools anywhere that offer those courses, the important thing is your interest and your past portfolios in graphic designs if any.

Nah, I'm not going to UCLA or any UCs. I'm trying to get into private art schools. They have better programs and are more specialized. I'm not sure about UC schools, but these private art schools charge around 30 thousand USD for one year. So times that by 4 years and you get... 120 thousand!!!!! wowowoweeeeh!

I'm in Portland, Oregon now. most of the tsinoys there hangout in Monterey Park for authentic chinese food, laos na yung LA Chinatown near I-10.

Im in Carpinteria, CA. It's close to Santa Barbara. Mga 1 hr to LA, I think. Wala akong makita na Filipino store na closer, I think I have to go to LA to do my errands. BTW, what's special in Portland, Oregon that made you move from Cali?:)

Wow, that's a nice place, I was there in the 80's, we stayed in a small motel near the beach resort along 101, dami kasi. Must be a lot prettier there now.
We went to Santa Ynez few months ago, I think dumaan ata kami, tulog ako, hehehe, we went to that Chumash Casino to get some dinner but ended up playing cards then we went back up north to Oregon.

Oo nga, medyo malayo, but I know there are some Asian stores in Santa Barbara and a large filipino community in Ventura County. And you don't need to go all the way to LA, just in San Fernando Valley before Burbank, there are lots of Filipino restos and stores already.

Portland - the main reason is family, most of my siblings are just all around Portland Metro Area and I was offered a better job here. Life in LA is so fast, you never seem to find some time to be with your families and friends, but there are lots of Pinoy/tsinoy buddies of mine there in LA, from childhood friends to classmates from pinas. Funny to say that LA seems to be so small, it is there where you will meet a friend of a friend of a friend or a relative of your relative. :D

Bottom line is, You are in "SUNNY CALIFORNIA"

hahaha, naku madaming dimsum places dun, we were just invited by the LA Tsinoy.com forumers, kaya hindi ako masyado familiar sa lugar na yan. I need to yell sa chatroom to wake up tricia, zerowing and the LA peeps for that. Meron pa nga kami nadaan na drive-thru na dimsum.

We drove all the way from Maryland to San Bernardino that time to help a tsinoy on his household move, then we hook up with the tsinoy.com forumers/chatters in O-nami at lunchtime and dinner at Monterey Park.

Kakagutom tuloy, miss ko na adidas and siomai at duck at .........hahahaha -- TWISYAHHHHH! Wake up, someone needs a suggestion for a dimsum in Monterey Park!
