There are rumors about her two possible substitutes for the drama, Exchange Love. It is widely talked about in the net, who could fill in best for Rainie. Others look at it from the perspective of who would look cute with Fahrenheit cutie Yan Ya Lun who is said to be Mike He's replacement, though it is not final as of the current. Two choices were very popular among the netizens, namely Indonesian teen supernova Agnes Monica and the dainty Philippines actress, Maja Salvador. Rainie claimed that if the people would keep on talking about the ratings game and boycotting, it was their loss. "I know the script by heart and it is very good, so good, it puts the plotline to shame. And isn't that what counts in a drama serial? That every episode has its own share of twist and turns to keep you glued to your seat? Well, it is what this is. The fact that the people creating this series are going out of the conventional drama doesn't mean that this is worth boycotting."

"Agnes is very good. I watched her on cable once when she sang on some music show. She sounds a lot like Shania Twain! Her voice is really global and powerful, to think that she is still quite young. I also saw an episode with her in the drama of Ho Ren Tong and she seems to be a total performer. She has what it takes to be a star. All I know about Maja is what I have watched on the net and those were very brief and few, but you could see her intensity as an actress. A middle-aged Filipina neighbor of mine rushed to me when she heard about the news of Maja possibly replacing me and she looked really glad. She said she watches her on a Filipino channel and that she was a great fan of the girl. She even met her when she last visited the Philippines and said that Maja was one of the nicest actresses she had met. If by any case, it is Maja who is to take my place, I think it would mark the entrance of a possible versatile actress in the e-circle. To be honest, Lin Yi Chen also surfed the net for info on her and now shes's rooting for her. Zheng Yuan Cheng likes her because he thinks she is very pretty and he really likes her acting style based on what he watched online as well. It is nice that both Yuan Cheng and Yi Chen see the advantage of letting a refreshing face with Philipine descent enter. But Hsu Weilun and Pei Lin think Agnes Monica would do better since she is already carving a name in the Taiwanese entertainment industry as she knows Mandarin and it could draw more audience share for the drama. As of now, none of them are chosen but both of the young actresses are very strong contenders. I like specific qualities from both but I won't choose who I like best."

Singer happy with performance though her feet were bleeding

POINTY high-heeled shoes turned out to be the bane of pop princess Jolin Tsai.

Especially when her concert last Saturday involved prancing about on stage to the beat of fast, energetic numbers.It was a big sacrifice for the 26-year-old Taiwanese singer. During the post-concert press conference, she was limping from table to table for interviews. She admitted her punishing footwear had caused the skin around her toes to peel and bleed. But she bravely shrugged it off, saying her feet 'should recover after two or three days'.

'My toes are still bleeding but I'm very satisfied because I had used my efforts to give myself the best birthday present. One night, while rehearsing the dance steps, I asked myself whether it was worth it to sacrifice my family, friends and love for one concert,' Jolin told reporters.

'But when I was dangling in mid-air just now and heard the applause, I found my answer. Dancing, performing is my life.'

But this wasn't just any concert.

MAIDEN CONCERT

The two-night extravaganza at the Hong Kong Coliseum over Friday and Saturday was her maiden concert in Hong Kong.And despite the painful blisters, the dancing queen showed why she deserved the crown. During Saturday's 2 1/2-hour show, Jolin belted out more than 20 songs and had at least six costume changes. And boy, were her dance moves sizzling.

The 10,000-strong audience watched in awe as she mimicked moves of a professional gymnast. In one segment, she effortlessly raised one leg till it was parallel with a vertical pole. She did somersaults and kept singing even while hanging upside down in mid-air. And like a chameleon, she morphed according to her dazzling costumes. In her body-hugging outfits like a bronze tube-top, her look screamed 'sex goddess'. In a long white cloak, crooning ballads like Le Yuan (Paradise), she resembled a princess in search of her Prince Charming.

She joked in Cantonese with her Hong Kong fans: 'I want a boyfriend. Anyone here wants to be my boyfriend?' The men yelled hysterically. But much to their disappointment, Jolin's Prince Charming for the night was singer-host Alan Luo, whom she was once rumoured to be dating. Alan was also in the audience on the first night of her concert.

'Although we were once rumoured to be lovers, I still like to dance with him,' she said after a dance segment with him. To this, Alan replied: 'Jolin is very pretty tonight. I was very unhappy when I saw her dancing with (hip-hopper Stanley) Huang last night.'

There were also fun costume changes, like when Jolin appeared in a lemon-yellow poncho and was strapped to a structure resembling a boat. A hunky man rowed the boat while she sang the sentimental Jia Mian De Gao Bai (False Declaration Of Love). After that, the structure, with Jolin still strapped to it, was raised in mid-air. Looking as if she was lying on a crescent, Jolin sang Tian Kong (Sky).

To thank her fans for singing along with her in Mandarin, Jolin included one Cantonese song in her repetoire - Jia Zhuang (Pretend). Jolin later told reporters that she gave herself 95 out of 100 for her show and that it was her idea to include the acrobatic and gymnastic elements.

She said: 'I have very high expectations of myself. 'I told myself that I cannot remain at a plateau. 'I want to challenge my own limits.'

Despite the performance, and the star’s on-stage chemistry with co-performer ABT pop star Stanley Huang, the Mando-pop queen failed to distract the media’s attention from the failed Double-J romance.

When asked by the press how she felt about Hou’s expensive “gift” while the only thing she got from Chou was a Hello Kitty flower basket, Tsai quipped, “that’s right, look how generous he was.”

When Jolin appeared again, she was sititng on a moon boat, singing her slow sad songs with alot of feelings and then she sang her duet sogn with David Tao, the second guest performer for the night. This caused yet another high 'tide'[atmosphere] among the audience. Jolin has always regarded David as her idol and while singing the song, she hugged him. David also kissed Jolin afterwards, making her face go red. Then, Jolin sang her newest song [Dancing Forever/WeiWuDuQun], a way of telling everyone that shes gonna dance till the end.

　　面對熱情的上海觀眾，Jolin忍不住說了幾句肺腑之言。在翻唱王菲的《懷念》時，她說：“她是我最喜歡的內地歌手，雖然她也和我一樣，緋聞纏身，但我還是要祝福她，希望她能快樂。”而在最後安可部分，Jolin跳完《舞娘》以後，又感性地表示“我知道許多人都拿著放大鏡來看我的演唱會，找我的紕漏，其實我自己也會，只有這樣才能讓我做到最好。”最後，在演唱一首由周傑倫創作的《倒帶》前，她又自嘲：“我在之前的演唱會上唱起這首歌時，每次都忍不住落下眼淚，我知道有些媒體說這是因為緋聞的關系，但是我還是要說，這和緋聞一點關系都沒有，是我想到準備演唱會時的緊張、辛苦和整個演唱過程帶給大家的快樂，有感而發才掉下的眼淚。”

favorite ko talaga yung silang dalawa ni jolin at xiao zhu na naka-pose.

Jolin Tsai first broke into the Taiwanese entertainment industry at age 18, winning first place in an MTV singing competition with a cover of the Whitney Houston song "The Greatest Love of All". After her performance, she was signed by Universal Music Taiwan. Tsai released her first single, 和世界做鄰居(我可以) [hé shìjìe zuò línjū (wǒ kěyǐ), "Be a Neighbor to the World (I Can)"] in July 1999. The single was sold in 7-Eleven convenience stores around the island, and was followed by her first full-length album, Jolin 1019, in September 1999. Tsai's girl-next-door image made her a quick favorite among local teenagers, particularly boys, earning her the nickname "少男殺手" [shàonán shāshǒu, "Teenage Boy Killer"].

Jolin 1019 sold over 400,000 copies throughout Asia[1], and was released in multiple formats in several countries. Tsai released her follow-up album, Don't Stop, in May 2000. This album spawned several singles which charted highly in the great Chinese market, and marked her rise to fame in the region at large. She also released a book of photographs mainly taken in Hawai'i around this time. By Tsai's third album - Show Your Love - her image had changed to suit her age of 21. The album was soothing, with many new tunes; however, its sales did not match those of her previous two records.

Her fourth album, Lucky Number, still did not manage to return her to the popularity she had previously enjoyed, despite its range of new tracks and styles. She also sang the theme song for the movie Atlantis: The Lost Empire. For a year, due to problems with her record company, she did not release any albums. However, she came out with her second photobook, taken in Thailand, and a song composed by Taiwanese singer-songwriter Jay Chou. Eventually, she managed to sign on with Sony Music, leading to the biggest break of her entire career. Her album Magic [看我七十二變, "kān wǒ qīshíèr biàn"] topped the Taiwanese album charts for three months, and sold more than 300,000 copies in Taiwan alone. This transformation gave her what she needed to make a comeback to the music industry after being gone for almost a year.

Tsai's sixth album, 城堡 [chéngbǎo, Castle], sold well and became the top album in many Asian countries. This album featured a few songs, including 倒帶 [dǎodài, "Rewind"], written by Jay Chou. On April 25, 2005, she released her seventh album, J-Game, which also topped charts throughout Asia. This album features one song, 獨佔神話 [dúzhàn shénhuà, "Exclusive Myth"] composed by Lee-Hom Wang. Tsai is now a superstar in Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia, and she has fans worldwide, including a large fan base in the United States of America. Tsai had a hit with "Love Love Love", a cover of the song "Stop Stop Stop" by Nu Virgos. The lyrics were entirely rewritten in Chinese, except for the words "love love love" in the chorus.

In 2006, Jolin have leaved her Sony BMG Record label and join EMI Capitol. Jolin does two J1 concerts in the U.S (New York and Irvine, California). She had Alan Luo as her guest appearance for this J1 concert (in place of Jay Chou). She recently won MTV Asia Style Award 2006 at Bangkok, Thailand (see photo). Jolin has works really hard to improve her dancing skill which has reflected in her music video “Dancing Diva.” “Dancing Diva” is also the name of her new album and it will be her first album under Capitol label which has been set to release on May 12th, 2006.

Taiwan pop diva Jolin Tsai revealed on her website that her breakup with ex-boyfriend Jay Chou was because a third party (ahem...did anyone say Patty Hou!) "interefered with her and Chou's relationship".

The two split up 2 years ago but neither of them had ever admitted to being in a relationship together. However, reports about "Double J Love" and the couple's private lives have never stopped. Earlier last month, Taiwan MC Patty Hou officially announced the end of her love with Jay, which more or less reminded Jolin of her heartbroken past.

The singer wrote a story of her breaking up with Chou in the paid channel of her website, saying that the split-up had brought her severe hurt, both mental and physical. It took her over a year's time to recover. Besides, the singer admitted that she hated Jay at that time and even wanted to curse him. But now she said they were just two strangers, even if one day they were to meet up at a public event, they would have nothing to say to each other.

On another note, the Chou-Hou-Tsai love-triangle is still the hottest gossip, especially after the most recent surprising turn.

According to an online fortune-telling site, Patty Hou (侯佩岑) was Jay Chou's (周杰倫) husband in a previous life, but an extramarital affair with a wealthy young lady — Jolin Tsai (蔡依林) — intervened. The lovers rode off into the sunset and the deserted wife ends her life heartbroken.

香港杜莎夫人蠟像館，十月出現第一位台灣人蠟像，他的名字叫周杰倫。雄霸華語流行音樂王座的周杰倫，他在亞洲華語流行音樂的地位，就像現在台北股市的鴻海，穩居民營製造業龍頭。

周杰倫兵團旗幟下，誰是他的謀士？讓周氏音樂席捲整個亞洲，超越王力宏，趕過了陶吉吉，單曲（雙截棍）甚至成為義大利MTV點播第一名。《依然范特西》專輯在九月間一發售，十首單曲一天內占滿KKBOX TOP 10排行榜！

九月三十日的台北火車站，紅衫軍聚集倒扁，正對面的K-Mall廣場，同樣擠滿人群。當一襲牛仔褲，長髮飄逸，掛著甜甜笑容的蔡依林一出席Yamaha飆舞大賽，幾乎同時間的，歌迷舉起手上的手機、數位相機，爭搶拍下偶像的身影。台下的贊助商Yamaha台灣區總經理吉野博行不禁笑開懷：「找來Jolin就對了！」
On the 30th of september at the taipei train station, red-shirted ppl gathered for the campaign of ovethrowing [ President Ah Bian]. At the opposite side, it was even more crowded. Once the Jolin, cladded in jeans, her hair flying softly in the air, with a sweet smile on ehr face, appeared for a Yamaha event, all fans took out their handphones and digital cameras, fighting to catch snapshots of their idol. 明星也要有伯樂。周杰倫的伯樂，是阿爾發音樂總經理楊峻榮，他是周王朝的King Maker。
時光拉回到一九九九年，周杰倫還窩在吳宗憲創辦的阿爾發音樂（現為好樂迪集團所有）埋首創作，吳宗憲力邀楊峻榮協助他打理唱片公司，當時的阿爾發只有四位員工，包含創作歌詞的方文山，一副家庭手工業的模樣。楊峻榮見到周杰倫，問他有沒有寫好的Demo帶拿來聽。周杰倫轉身，翻了翻抽屜拿出了《可愛女人》卡帶。
楊峻榮一聽，立時就被吸引，原來，不但歌曲、和聲、到編寫都是周杰倫自己完成的！「他唱歌間隙深呼吸一口氣的感覺，那個是生命力！」
楊峻榮隨後就要細看周杰倫：「帽子脫下來，頭髮撥開來仔細讓我看一下。」「臉沒有肉，皮貼骨，衣架子，腿長，perfect camera face!（完美的上相鏡頭）」楊峻榮心裡知道：「就是他了！」「我馬上跟吳宗憲講，這一角你居然放了一年多！」楊峻榮在吳宗憲的支持下，爭取二千萬元經費力捧周杰倫。

周杰倫的出場，是一個沒沒無名的小男生被發掘。蔡依林的出場，是另一個舞動人心的故事。

八年前的蔡依林還是景美女中二年級的學生，她參加MTV新生卡位戰歌唱比賽，從五千位參賽者脫穎而出。當時的唱片公司宣傳，現在的EMI Capitol總經理陳澤杉，看到蔡依林後驚為天人。
The Jolin 8 years ago was still a year 2 student of 景美女中, she participated in the MTV singing competition,\ and emerged as the champion out of 5000plus participants. Her promoter[for music] at her first record comapny who is also the general manager of EMI Capitol now, was very impressed when he saw Jolin.

讓他驚訝的，是蔡依林舞台上與舞台下的巨大反差。「我坐在後台，看到一個穿著景美女中黃衫制服的女生，靜靜的看著書，後來我知道，她正準備大學甄試讀英文。輪到她上台了，換了一身性感的小可愛，選了瑪麗亞凱莉與惠妮休斯頓兩首最難的歌曲表演，她在舞台上的爆發力，那巨大的反差，我確信只要有舞台，就是她！」

When it was her turn to go onstage, she changed into a cute top, chose two most difficult songs of Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston[each] to perform, her power and charm onsatge, the great contrast, i firmly believed that whenever there's a stage, it's her!" ]

要成為一線歌手，更需要全方位的行銷策略。周杰倫與蔡依林，就像一塊璞玉，還需要玉匠的開鑿、雕琢。二○○○年底，二十一歲的周杰倫初出道的《Jay》同名專輯，背後就有深深的行銷痕跡。

周杰倫首張專輯就大賣，關鍵在楊峻榮的投資操盤。他不僅砸下八百萬元大買電視台廣告狂播音樂錄影帶（MV），更成功區隔出周杰倫品牌。

周杰倫國二時，父母離婚，媽媽獨力扶養長大，沒有考上大學，患有僵直性脊椎炎，發起病來真是苦不堪言。「太完美的東西不美！」楊峻榮這樣說。於是，阿爾發沒有將周杰倫打造成陽光男孩，真實呈現他。「就像多數沒把書念好的孩子一樣，他對前途，說實在，也搞不清楚，父母都是老師，也沒錢，這就是真實的周杰倫。」

音樂界觀察，王力宏與陶吉吉都是美國西岸培養出的R&B（節奏藍調）創作歌手，周杰倫訴求土生土長。「R&B不等於ABC，R&B等於周杰倫，這個策略成功了！」

同樣的，蔡依林出道的一九九九年，第一張同名專輯正巧遇上九二一大地震，讓負責蔡依林宣傳的環球宣傳陳澤杉傷透腦筋。他重新檢視蔡依林的音樂錄影帶，要找出她更核心的魅力，一遍一遍看著MV，他發現蔡依林的「純真」，散發出一股會讓青少年躍動、刺激荷爾蒙的能量。

他讓台北建國中學同意蔡依林進校園簽唱，一方面為九二一大地震募款，二方面為蔡依林打出「少男殺手」的名號。就這樣，靠著校園巡迴演唱的深耕，結合全國第一志願建中男生的追捧，「少男殺手」的稱號讓蔡依林一炮而紅。「也是幸運，九二一讓其他唱片公司都停止發片，我們決定堅持。」陳澤杉猶記得當時努力說服公司老闆的情景。

少男殺手變身舞孃Young-Boy Killer to Dancing Diva

周王朝的首席謀臣楊峻榮，他經營周杰倫的收與放，就像職業棋士落子前，設想千里之外的決戰之路。例如，去年八月周杰倫與Panasonic手機的代言合約結束，楊峻榮空了一年代言時間，寧願損失上千萬元，就是為對得起Panasonic，贏得廣告主的心。

今年九月開始，周杰倫成為摩托羅拉大中華區品牌形象大使。摩托羅拉台灣區市場行銷部總經理黃玉瑩指出，Moto北亞區團隊就是看中周杰倫的音樂原創與對年輕人的影響力，與Moto的品牌風格相符。

隨周杰倫的走紅，阿爾發也從四人變成四十人團隊，全力打造周王朝。周王朝的專輯規格，堪稱全台最高。《依然范特西》十首單曲全部拍MV，光是（本草綱目）、（夜的第七章）與（千里之外）三首歌，MV製作就達一千三百萬元！用規格拉高競爭門檻，也是周王朝聲勢不墜的關鍵。

規避風險、挑選好的廣告合作商、拓展歌唱以外的事業，都有賴良好的經紀人打理。二○○一年，周杰倫剛出道的新春願望是：二年存三百萬元。楊峻榮知道後告訴他：「杰倫，你光詞曲版稅的收入就是這個願望的二倍！」周杰倫驚訝得嘴巴呈現Ｏ字形。

此時此刻稚嫩的周杰倫，是野心不過存幾百萬元的小歌手。但操盤手楊峻榮心裡的盤算，絕對是這個數字的一百倍！

楊峻榮直到去年才讓周杰倫擔綱電影《頭文字Ｄ》裡的主角藤原拓海。「現在不要接，等你二十五歲了再說。因為，你要去演一個人何其容易啊！你已經是音樂界的天王，不要砸了自己的招牌。」周杰倫一炮而紅後，被打了預防針。

《頭文字Ｄ》裡的拓海個性羞澀、愛車，簡直就跟周杰倫一個樣。楊峻榮笑說，他只要演自己就行了。加上這部片子又有導演劉偉強與麥兆輝背書，是他們繼電影《無間道》系列後的首部作品，他們更緊張！果然，《頭文字Ｄ》的亞洲票房破億元港幣，周杰倫首次登上大銀幕就拿到去年金馬獎最佳新人獎。

善於規避風險，創造收益是傑出經紀人的必要。楊峻榮今年為周杰倫挑選的電影，是由張藝謀執導，兩大巨星周潤發與鞏俐主演的《滿城盡帶黃金甲》。楊峻榮的盤算是，在大導演與兩大巨星的領銜下，賣得好肯定有功，即使賣不好，也沒有人會怪到周杰倫頭上。

Holding the fashion world at heel

Chloe Chen is the name behind Honey Daniels, a local high-end shoe label that is setting itself up as a rival to trendsetters such as Manolo Blahnik

She makes the shoes that pop and movie stars like Jolin Tsai and Vivian Hsu step out in. But Chloe Chen is heading west rather than east to expand her small fashion realm.

The director of Omni — a retro furniture and style store run in collaboration with Taiwan's chairman of pop Jay Chou — Chen also heads up Honey Daniels shoes.

She has opened two outlets in the fashionable East District and Xinyi District, where her shoes well for around NT$3,000 to NT$6,000.

And if the name Honey Daniels gives you deja vous it's because the company is named after the feel-good movie starring Jessica Alba, as a dancer who makes it in New York.

Chen says her current dilemma is whether to ship shoes to the US and compete with brands like Manolo Blahnik, or manufacture cheaper products at factories in China and take on the mass market.

As much as Chen is a designer of shoes she's also a pretty experienced 30-year-old businesswoman. Her philosophy is: “If it's a good product, it should sell.”

“Our pricing is kind of high, so our segment of the market is quite narrow. We've come to a point where there's no growth. So, either we sell just to stars and rich people, or we reduce our costs and go to China.”

The fact she recently attended an English-language school in the US indicates she has already made her decision.

“We would rather look at other markets and take our shoes to places like New York where prices are relatively expensive. For instance, Manolo Blahnik are not that well made. They just have great marketing. Sex and the City tripled their price.”

Chen says of a visit last week to the Big Apple that she went to the store Barneys and had a chance encounter with Gwyneth Paltrow's agent, who expressed an interest in her shoes.

Though Chen designs and has what one of her China-based agents calls “great taste,” she's also adept at marketing. She majored in advertising at Chinese Culture University in Taipei.

“Studying advertising gave me a lot of background, it was a major influence. If I had only studied arts I don't think I would have done this. I thought advertising was creative but actually it turned out to be business,” Chen says.

Her first job was gopher at an advertising firm, but she realized it wasn't her. Her businessman father said, “Follow your dreams” and instead of going to the office she opened her first shop in Tienmu, Taipei. She mainly imported Hong Kong fashion and it was a big hit.

While her father backed her financially, Chen credits her mother with inculcating a sense of fashion, nurtured by what she speaks of as a fairly idyllic childhood in Taitung.

“At school I was a fashion leader, a trend setter rather than a sheep. At university there was a nearby flea market run by foreigners with second-hand clothing and furniture, a lot of good stuff at reasonable prices. I used it and altered it to make it stylish.”

“I always buy what I like and I thought if couldn't sell the clothes then I could wear them myself. That's why I only bought a few items of a kind — in case they did not sell.”

“We were different from other stores. We picked a second-floor location because we did not want walk-in traffic. We wanted it to be special, alternative. I put up a big heart with our name and painted the window. We bought an old fridge and cleaned it out, using it for display. There wasn't a set formula.”

She opened a second store in an apartment with Hong Kong designer Toby Liu, who now works for D-Mop.

“I started to get frustrated because I couldn't find the clothes I wanted, so we co-operated in making clothes. We made what I wanted.”

But after two years she closed this store because its costs were too high for the market. It was her first and so far only failure.

“I realized it was easier to buy stuff than make myself. Also, I learned a lesson about marketing and selling. You have to think harder before you start something. You have to prepare well.”

So she moved to Taipei's East district five years ago and did it with a splash of publicity by starting Omni (“all things”) with Chairman Chou, who's into retro fashion, furniture and classic cars.

“When I was young I liked antiques and clothes and mother's shoes, but her feet were so small I couldn't wear them. I went abroad to find vintage shoes because customers wanted them. I realized shoes were the most important part of clothing.”

Chen decided to found her own label and her dad found a manufacturer of hand-made shoes in South Korea. She has her shoes made from drawn designs.

She designs the shoe, picks the materials and then works with the manufacturer to make a sample.

“I do not have formal training, that's why I'm different and successful. Comfort is very important, for the back and for the feet. My shoes are not cheap but I have repeat customers because they last a long time and are classic rather than trendy. Value is the important thing.”

“Obviously, though,” she adds, “they also need to be sexy. All women want to be sexy, the heel is sexy.”

Chen has one other policy when it comes to shoes. She does not discount since she believes they have the quality of, say, Manolo Blahnik, but sell for NT$10,000 less.

“Many people when they come in they want discounts. But we don't do them, there's too much work that goes into these shoes. That's the policy, they are limited editions, and you won't see them anywhere else. You can't borrow them, you can only buy them.”

Chen says this policy even applied to Vivian Hsu when she made The Shoe Fairy, a film about a cripple who is in love with shoes but can't wear them. Obviously, Honey Daniels shoes were featured, but they came at a price.

The news layzie posted is abt selina and xiaozhu's rumours. it is suspected that selina iscopying jolin'sdance style and her fashion style too, the title of the report: selina desperately trying to win xiaozhu back. There's also another report abt Jolin and xiaozhu and their 'gang' of friends meeting up at KTV to sing together recently. However, another crew of a taiwanese drama[smilingpasta] was there to celebrate the end of filming too. Then, someone in thecrew had a conflicts with the paparazzi and even pointed the middle finger at the paparazzi. Coincidentally, jolin and xiaozhu were leaving then. When xiaozhu cameout, he was shocked by what he saw[i think there were fights?] and he left with Jolin hurriedly, who had her cap down, each back to their own cars. The purpose of their trip to ktv was to reduce pressure for xiaozhu as his new album is going to be released soon. The first report also says that xiaozhu is always showing his love for jolinone time or another in public, their actions and relationship very ambiguous. When david tao kissed jolin's cheeks, on that concert's celebration party afterwards, xiaozhu appeared and he also wanted to kiss Jolin but Jolin laughed and blocked him away[as seen from one pic in layzie's post]. Reporters also pointed out that Xiaozhu and Jolin had known and supported each other for a long time and xiaozhu also accompanied Jolin to tokyo. The news layzie posted is abt selina and xiaozhu's rumours. it is suspected that selina iscopying jolin'sdance style and her fashion style too, the title of the report: selina desperately trying to win xiaozhu back. There's also another report abt Jolin and xiaozhu and their 'gang' of friends meeting up at KTV to sing together recently. However, another crew of a taiwanese drama[smilingpasta] was there to celebrate the end of filming too. Then, someone in thecrew had a conflicts with the paparazzi and even pointed the middle finger at the paparazzi. Coincidentally, jolin and xiaozhu were leaving then. When xiaozhu cameout, he was shocked by what he saw[i think there were fights?] and he left with Jolin hurriedly, who had her cap down, each back to their own cars. The purpose of their trip to ktv was to reduce pressure for xiaozhu as his new album is going to be released soon. The first report also says that xiaozhu is always showing his love for jolinone time or another in public, their actions and relationship very ambiguous. 向来好强的蔡依林前晚总彩时，发生忘词、彩带抛进水中等意外，与小猪罗志祥彩排时也一度舞步不顺。总彩发生一连串的不顺，蔡依林积压许久的紧绷情绪当场崩溃，一个人跑到後台厕所大哭，宣洩紧张心情，但昨日唱到「就是爱」时依旧发生忘词事件。

Jolin Tsai yesterday transformed into an electronic game character Chun Li, flew to Yi Lan to shoot an ad for PEPSI. However, she had to wake up very early thus causing her to yawn quite a few times at the ad scene. Jolin昨天（30日）到宜蘭縣南澳鄉的武塔國小，拍攝「PEPSI」的新一季廣告，為免舟車勞頓，她還特別在開拍前一晚（29日）就入住宜蘭的飯店休息。昨天一早6點鐘，戴著大墨鏡、穿著輕便的她，手上拿著筆記型電腦走出飯店，出發到南澳鄉拍片。
Jolin yesterday(30th) flew to a village in Yi Lan and together with some children from an elementary school, they shot a new PEPSI advertisement, she already checked into a hotel at Yi Lan on the 29th. Yesterday morning at about 6am, Jolin dressed casually and carrying her labtop, she walked out of the hotel, preparing to go to the shooting scene.

原本打扮輕鬆的她，一到拍片現場便立刻換裝，穿著一身藍色的中國服飾登場，整體造型像極了電玩遊戲裡的人物「春麗」，讓在場的臨時演員和民眾驚艷不已，她隨即提著燈籠，在一群小朋友舞龍舞獅的伴舞下，跳起燈籠舞。片中她還不斷拿可樂分發給小朋友和老爺爺，再親切地說「拜拜」，十分可愛。

Jolin then carried a lantern and danced with the little children a lantern dance. There was also the lion dance in the background. 據了解，Jolin這支廣告特別請來香港知名廣告導演David Tusi執導，將在農曆春節前在全亞洲播出，所以氛圍的營造特別喜氣洋洋，而這次的小舞群，是請當地武塔國小的學生來伴舞，為了演出完美，小朋友們還事先排練了一個星期，今天Jolin還將拍攝放煙火的大場面，光是煙火費用就快要20萬元，Jolin還可以好好欣賞一場煙火秀。
Reportedly, this advertisement has famous hk ad directer David Tus to direct for Jolin, the ad will also be showing in asia on certain special chinese festivals/occasions. Thus, a lively atmosphere has to be created so there's also the native children in the ad, dancing together with Jolin. In order to ensure their performance was perfect, the children even rehearsed one week before. Today, Jolin is going to shoot a grand scene with fireworks, the fireworks alone cost aout 200 thousand dollars, Jolin can also admire the fireworks.

Jolin半空倒吊出場，過後才以一字馬降落在舞臺上。她的第一套服裝在臺北演唱會時曾經穿過，但是因為大馬國情及尺寸的關係，所以Jolin只好多穿一件打底。她便問：“這套衣服是為大馬而作改變的，我會不會暴露啊？”歌迷馬上回答道：“不會”。
Jolin's opening performance was like the one in hongkong, just that she landed onto the satge with a split. Her first costume is the blue one that she has worn previously but because of malaysia's culture, jolin wore tights underneath. She then asked her fans that if this is okay and they replied yes.

說罷之後，她便以公主形容自己，帶領大家進入遊樂園並開始演唱。現場觀眾手上持著Jolin的牌子及螢光棒，跟隨著節奏搖擺。在唱《野蠻遊戲》時， Jolin要求所有觀眾大玩波浪舞。開始玩時，歡呼聲並不大聲，她便說：“如果歡呼聲太小，我就不唱了！”現場觀眾立即給予配合，和Jolin玩起了萬人大波浪。
Later, Jolin began singing and like a princess as her fans usually call her, everyone's spirits got higher. They held Jolin's placards and waved the lightsticks along with the music. When she was singing [Savage Game aka J-game], Jolin asked the audience to do a wave dance. At the beginning, the cheers weren't loud enough, she then said:" If the cheers are too soft, then i wun carry on!" The audience immediately gave their best co-operation, playing the thousand people wave dance with Jolin.

過後，演繹到《檸檬草的味道》這首歌曲時，她就馬上脫掉長袖和長裙，只剩下打底的黑色衣服，現場頓時掀起尖叫聲。加上Jolin誘人精湛的舞技，還與其中一位男舞蹈員跳起肢體親熱舞，把整個演唱會推至最高潮，氣氛熱爆。
After that, when she was singing [The Smell Of Lemon Grass], she took of her long sleeved dress, wearing a black gown, the audience also cheered loudly. Adding on with Jolin's amazing dance skills, and a hot dance with one of her dancers, the concert was at its climax with the cheers continuously going on loudly, the atmospehere explosive.

表演嘉賓是衛斯理和Energy，衛斯理則與Jolin演唱《天空》時，他們倆深情地對望彼此，衛斯理還握著Jolin的小手，感覺就像童話故事般裏的公主與王子似的。
Her guest performers this time was Energy and Wesley also sang [Sky] with Jolin. When both were singing [Sky], they gazed at each other's eyes deeply and Wesley also held Jolin's hand, the feeling then was like the prince and princess of a fairytale.

臨近尾聲時，Jolin與大家分享演唱會心得。她說：“這場演唱會是我給自己最大的體能考驗，拼了命演出的！”她非常感謝全亞洲的媒體都看到她的努力，自己也對自己感到敬佩。“我在意自己的過失，更在意大家對我的反應！每一次來大馬開演唱會，歌迷的熱情令我感到放心。”現場頓時響起掌聲及歡呼聲。
Nearing the end, Jolin shared her feelings abt the concert, she said:" All these concerts are the biggest challenge i give to my body tolerance and fitness, i used my life to accomplish this!" She also thanked all the asian media who has seen her effort and she feels proud of herself too. "I mind my own mistakes and i care more about the audience's response! Everytime i come here to open a concert, all of your passion makes me feel reassured." The audience then clapped and cheered loudly at this.

另外，她說：“下次會讓大家看到另一個不一樣的Jolin。同時，也會不斷地挑戰自己，因為這就是我Jolin！”她也非常感謝老天爺在她的演唱會開始後就停雨，否則的話歌迷就要淋雨了。說完後，她就坐著升降機下臺了。
Also, she said:" The next time i will let everyone see a different Jolin. At the same time, i will also challenge myself continuously, because this is me, Jolin!" She also feels grateful to Heaven[buddhist saying] for letting me have a successful cocnert as the rain immediately stopped when Jolin's concert was going to start, otherwise the fans will have to get drenched. After this, she then left the stage.

Not long after, Jolin then retuened back to the stage with the encore song [Dancing Diva] and [rewind]. When performing [Dancing Diva], she did the many difficult and amazing movements, all of the mvements perfectly executed, at the same time, demonstrating a perfect blend of strength and beauty as well as the spirit of a true [Dancing Diva], making the audience go high once again.

在慶功宴上，Jolin披露，這場演唱會結束後會給自己一段休息的時間，並準備籌備明年的專輯。此外，她還表示，明年初會去進修，開拓視野，希望下次的演唱會會有更專業及很棒的演出。詢及心目中想去辦演唱會的國家，她表示，應該會鎖定歐洲，但還是要看老師的決定。
At the celebration ceremony afterwards, Jolin disclosed that she will finally give herself a period fo time to rest thoroughly after this concert and prepare for her next album in 2007. Besides that, she also expressed that she will go overseas to further some skills and to widen her knowledge, she hopes that her enxt concert will have even more professional and wodnerful performances. When asked which countries will she like to hold concerts in, Jolin replied Europe but that will have to depend on her teachers.

對於當晚演唱會歌迷的表現，Jolin說：“我給他們100分，因為他們很熱情。”她說：“這場演唱會蠻順利，只是下過雨地板有點濕，但僥倖沒有滑倒。
When asked to judge her fans' performance, Jolin said:" I give them 100 marks because they are very lively." She also said:" This concert is very smooth-going but the stage was abit wet due to the rain, luckily there was no accidents and i did not slip and fall."

另外，詢及為何在最後一場的演唱會沒有哭時，Jolin表示，因為快虛脫了，因流太多的汗水，下臺時腳都軟了。“自己不是太容易哭的人，除非是累積太多的壓力及對自己的表現不滿，才會流眼淚。加上大家表現得很High，所以沒有表現脆弱得一面！”
Also, when asked why she did not cry at this concert, Jolin expressed, because she is really dehydrated as she perspired too much and when she left the stage, her legs were wobbly.: I am not one who cries very easily, unless i have accumulated too much pressure one me or when i am not satisfied with my own performances, then i will cry. To add on, everyone's was very high so i did not let them see the weak side of me!"

Pop queen Jolin Tsai was Taiwan's most highly paid female star in 2006 and she looks set to increase her riches in 2007.

The dancing diva announced she will make her acting debut in the second half of 2007, when she spoke at a promotion for a world brand in Shanghai on Monday.

Jolin Tsai said she is particularly interested in starring in an action film like "Charlie's Angels."

Rumors have already circulated claiming the pop star is being considered for the lead role in the female version of the car racing flick "Initial D."

Jolin Tsai said she would be willing to consider the role for her acting debut if she finds the script suitable.

Jolin Tsai Throws Mini Tantrum @ her Concert in Malaysia

Jolin Tsai held a concert in Malaysia on Saturday night. As organisers of the show asked Jolin not to be too sexy, Jolin’s costumes were evidently a lot more conservative. Not known to have ever thrown a tantrum on stage, Jolin pouted and exclaimed, “Why aren’t you guys clapping our cheering me on no matter what I do?!” when she was unable to hype up her audience. It was not till the end of the concert when Jolin began doing her yoga moves and ribbon dancing, did the crowd began to scream and applause.

Jolin again started the concert by doing tricks in mid air but compared to her Taiwan and Hong Kong performance, the tricks were done a lot lower and closer to the ground. But her dancing was still great and after she finished her song ‘Dancing Diva’ (舞娘), the singer kneeled on the ground and said, “My legs are weak and I am sweating a lot!” At the end of the concert, Jolin commented, “This concert has challenged my stamina. I have used my life to perform. I hope to show everyone here tonight, a different side of Jolin and I know that if I try my hardest, I will succeed.” As she said these words, tears began forming in the diva’s eyes.

Jolin Tsai out-sold Jay Chou in Taiwan in 2006.

After five years of playing second fiddle to Jay Chou, Taiwanese pop princess Jolin Tsai finally managed to out-sell Chou to become the top-selling artiste of the year in Taiwan.

Tsai’s Wu Rang sold 210,000 copies in Taiwan, beating Chou’s Still Fantasy to become Taiwan’s biggest selling album of 2006 recently. However, Chou still managed to move a whopping three million copies of Still Fantasy throughout Asia, and remains the best-selling Taiwanese artiste in Asia.

In a recent interview, Tsai played down the win over Chou, and stressed that there was no competition in the first place.

“I’ve never thought about beating anyone. All I wanted was to challenge myself, and I hope that the next album will do just as well,” she said. Nevertheless, Tsai’s sales of 210,000 copies was still way below that of last year’s top-selling album – Chou’s November Chopin, which sold 250,000 copies in Taiwan – indicating a steady and somewhat alarming market decline for music records in the country.

Since 2005, M' magazine will hold this event and the resposne ahs always been good. This year they also worked together with Yahoo! fashion channel, warmly inviting famous ppl from the fashion world and internet surfers to choose the msot popular jeans endorser/artiste. Jolin Tsai and Show Luo emerged champions and they got the 'most popular jeans artiste' award. Stanley Huang and Coco got the 'most suitable endorser award' from the professional judges. However, as Jolin was busy and couldn't go to the event, show is going to help ehr take the award.

New Year's festivities attract massive crowds

Young people dressed up as as clowns perform for bystanders in Taipei's Xinyi District during the New Year Countdown Parade held by the Taipei City Government yesterday afternoon.

When the clock struck midnight, a fireworks display lasting 188 seconds illuminated the Taipei 101 skyscraper, enchanting the tens of thousands of revelers who had come to enjoy the New Year's Eve Party sponsored by the Taipei City Government last night to count down to the new year.

The fireworks show, which attracted at least 400,000 people last year, wowed spectators again this year.

A rainfall of fireworks lit up the sky at midnight, followed by another 12 series of fireworks explosions and the lighting up of the world's tallest skyscraper.

Building on last year's success, the number of fireworks was increased from 8,000 to 10,000, constituting 12 series of explosions in eight different colors.

"Five, four, three, two, one: Happy New Year!" Taipei Mayor Hau Lung-bin and pop star Jolin Tsai said, counting down on stage to ring in the new year.

Former Taipei mayor Ma Ying-jeou, who was scheduled to join the countdown with Hau, later declined to attend last night's event, saying that the city government was now in Hau's hands.

The 13-hour marathon party, which the city government claimed to be the largest in the country, began in Xinyi District with a 3-hour parade at 2pm.

A total of 15 teams of cheerleaders from Taipei Jingmei Girls High School, along with marching bands, groups of bikers, Japanese Taiko drummers and clowns strolled down Songgao, Songzhi, and Songshou roads, cheered on by revelers taking pictures of the parade.

Nearby at Taipei's Champs Elysees ethnic performances from Brazil, the Middle East and Japan were performed.

Long before the main concert started at 7pm in front of Taipei City Hall, crowds started to gather in Xinyi District, vying for spots in the area and at MRT stations nearby to get a good view of the fireworks and concert.

"We are here for the fireworks. The show last year was great, and we don't want to miss it this year," said a woman surnamed Kao, who had arrived with her two sons.

At another corner, a father surnamed Wu, who drove with his sons from Taoyuan, arrived at Xinyi District around 1pm with his New Year's Eve schedule all planned out.

"I promised my kids weeks ago that I would take them to Taipei today. We watched the parade and went to do some shopping before the concert and fireworks," he said.

The party, however, didn't end after the countdown, as the popular rock band, May Day, sent the crowd to new heights with a concert lasting until sunrise.

Hoping to avoid a repeat of an accident two years ago, when a woman who had taken part in the New Year festivities was injured after falling down an MRT station escalator because of overcrowding, MRT station staff were asked to closely monitor crowds.

New Year's Eve brought some festive gossip, not least from the Taipei 101 extravaganza, where Jolin Tsai was one of the star turns. She shared center stage with Taipei's new mayor Hau Lung-bin and did the countdown with him, but even so TV shots showed her looking askance at the official. Reporters discovered why later. As Tsai left the stage she asked her agent who the guy standing next to her was. When told it was Hau, Tsai responded, "Who's he?" Clearly the "dancing queen" has a healthy disregard for politicians, which Pop Stop thoroughly endorses.

Finally, the favored faces of last year were Lin Chi-ling and Takeshi Kaneshiro. A 1111 Manpower Bank poll of 1,358 people put "Ice Cream" Lin at the top of the ladies' pile because of her "sweet, beautiful, egg-shaped face" and "devilish body." Jolin Tsai was in second place for being a dancing queen and model Sonia Sui was third, for obvious reasons. In the men's category, Andy Lau and Alan Luo scored for their looks and sense of humor.

【吳禮強╱綜合報導】曹格昨晚二度在台北知名同志夜店Funky開唱，與上回在同一地點登台相隔不到一年時間，他對同志族群的友善，也讓他的歌曲在該店點唱率和播放率都拿下男歌手之冠；女歌手則由蔡依林（Jolin）摘下雙料第1。
Jolin的歌曲去年整年在Funky的播放次數將近3000次，平均1天8次，讓她成功擠下過去被同志視為女神的張惠妹（阿妹），獲女歌手點唱與播放率第1。點唱率2至3名為：阿妹、孫燕姿；播放率2至3名為阿妹、王心凌。Jolin昨聞訊表示：「常聽朋友說Funky很好玩，有機會一定要找時間親自去看看。」

入冬最冷的一天，金曲歌王黃立行在布置成地獄般的舞台上，唱熱信義商圈的周末夜，與蔡依林的性感「SM舞」，更讓火熱指數直線上升。
The coldest day since the beginning of winter, golden melody awards winner Stanley Huang, performed on his stage which was decorated like a prison and danced a very sexy SM dance with Jolin Tsai, making the atmosphere reach its highest point.

黃立行在轟天的序曲中，以倒立的方式緩緩自舞台底升起，全身的重量只靠手腳支撐，倒掛了近2分鐘，外罩的黑羽毛裝下一無所有，為了這段表演，他可是吃足苦頭：「我說我要像Jolin一樣劈腿下來，公司就把我綁成這樣，我的頭好像爆出來。」
Stanley appeared in his first song in a handstand position for nearly 2mins.

He suffered alot just for this performance and said:" I told my ocmpany that i want to be liek Jolin, coming down from midair with a split, my company den tied me up like that, my head seems to be exploding."

黃立行在「打分數」時舞了起來，號稱「舞王重出舞林」，不一會，「舞后」Jolin自台邊升起，兩人性感共舞、充滿挑逗意味。唱到「乖乖牌」時，「SM舞」登場，Jolin手拿水鑽皮鞭，還以鍊子套住黃立行頸部，上演令人血脈賁張的熱舞，Jolin一動、黃立行一挑眉，台下歌迷就尖叫。
Stanley began dancing in his song [What no. are you?], his nickname [Dancing King dancing out of the woods(woods because in chinese the pronounciation of the first word is the same as dance in chinese]. A while later, [Dancing Queen] Jolin ascended onto the stage, both of them dancing sexily together with a teasing sense. When singing [Nice Guy], the SM dance appeared, with Jolin holding a crystal-studded whip and even wound it around Stanley's neck, their hot dance making everyone's blood heart pump faster and faster. Jolin and Stanley's moves made the fans go crazy with all the cheering.

After the dance, Stanley took a deep breath:"I cant breathe anymore." He told Jolin:"You are soooo hot today, its quite scary, i can't sleep tonight." Jolin laughed and replied him with a [sorry]. After this dance, not only the fans praised that it was great, stanley's brother jeff as also very envious of stanley. They then sang some songs together. Stanley and Jeff's relatives also came down to support stanley.

向來對造型很有己見的黃立行昨天豁出去，一連換5套衣服，除了黑色羽毛裝、黑色軍裝大衣外，還有鑽石裸女背心、甚至豹紋透視襯衫、銀色外套。天氣冷，Jolin臨時加了黑外套，他則是這樣硬上場，但爆破的煙火幾次落在他的小平頭上，他笑說：「我頭髮被燒掉一段了，變烤雞。」
Stanley has always been very sensitive to his image and dressing, wore a total of 5 outfits yesterday. 而Jolin的手帕交小豬（羅志祥）昨晚也悄悄到場「監視」她的表現，不過他聲稱怕冷，全程只待在保母車上。此外，昨新聞報導父母雙亡、家裡存款只剩1元的14歲的少女沈念慈，很喜愛Jolin，Jolin獲知此事後，請工作人員送了一張簽名CD到台中給她，上面還寫「念慈加油，我會永遠支持妳」。
And Jolin's close friend, Xiaozhu, was also watching her performance secretly yesterday night. But he claimed that he did not want to be out in the cold so he was staying in the car throughout. Also, the news yesterday reported about a very poor orphaned girl, Nian Ci. Her idol is Jolin. When Jolin knew about this, she immediately asked her manager too give Nian Ci her cd for free.
