Stephanie Sun Changed Record Company

Famous Singaporean singer Stefanie Sun has changed record companies, moving from Warner Music to EMI/Capitol.

A press conference was held on Sunday in Hong Kong, with the top executives of EMI/Capitol in attendance.

The singer's contract with Warner Music as her agent company doesn't expire until the end of next year. The agreement with EMI only includes recording, concerts and advertising. The singer is still accountable to both companies during this transition period.

Stefanie Sun revealed Chen Zeshan, the present manager of EMI/Capitol, played a critical role in the change.

Chen Zeshan had cooperated with Sun on eight albums over the years.

Sun's best friend Jolin Tsai has been the top record seller for EMI in latest years. When asked whether there will be fierce competition between them in future, Sun said positive competition is welcome.

Jolin: wrote 3 songs based on my love

Preparing for 3 months, Jolin has finally opened 2 of her concerts in HK. In her 2nd concert performance, Jolin couldnt help it and cried, and said that she wrote her about her own love relationships. When asked about ZhouHouLian, Jolin widened her eyes and said: "Aiyo, it has nothing to do with me!"

Jolin said that she evalutated herself, and critized herself that she cannot speak in public, so she stayed up late the night before writing up a letter to her fans so she can recite it. Jolin cried when writing it, and cried when recting it on stage during her 2nd performance. She said: "During this time, ive had a lot of stress. there was so much to do in so little time. ive cried at home, but now i feel relieved because ive accomplished it all. im crying right now because all my stress is gone."

Jolin said that she danced until her toes were bleeding, but its the best birthday gift she can give herself. During these 3 months, shes cried and sacraficed her friends, family, love, is it all worth it? "I cannot have myself stay at the beginnng and not improve and advance. Singing, dancing, performing, they are all my life." On stage, Jolin cried so hard that she couldnt even hold it in anymore. She couldnt even finish her song "DaoDai" without the singalong of the fans below.

When asked about her birthday wish, Jolin originally said that she had everything, but the media reminded her. "I dont have a boyfriend." Jolin revealed that the songs "ShiZuoYongZhi," "GaMianDiGaoBai," and "KaiChangBai" were songs that she wrote which reflected her own love relationships. When asked if it "was the same person," Jolin only responded "no, not the same person, that's as far as i will reveal."

When asked if the song was about Jay, Jolin didnt respond. The media also asked for her opinion on the breakup between Jay and Patty, Jolin didnt respond to that either. Whether Stanley's hot dance was better in the 1st performance, or the XiaoZhu's embrace in the 2nd night, Jolin says: "im not happy with either."

Two choices were very popular among the netizens, namely Indonesian teen supernova Agnes Monica and the dainty Philippines actress, Maja Salvador. Rainie claimed that if the people would keep on talking about the ratings game and boycotting, it was their loss. "I know the script by heart and it is very good, so good, it puts the plotline to shame. And isn't that what counts in a drama serial? "Agnes is very good. I watched her on cable once when she sang on some music show. She sounds a lot like Shania Twain! Her voice is really global and powerful, to think that she is still quite young. I also saw an episode with her in the drama of Ho Ren Tong and she seems to be a total performer. She has what it takes to be a star. All I know about Maja is what I have watched on the net and those were very brief and few, but you could see her intensity as an actress. A middle-aged Filipina neighbor of mine rushed to me when she heard about the news of Maja possibly replacing me and she looked really glad. She said she watches her on a Filipino channel and that she was a great fan of the girl. She even met her when she last visited the Philippines and said that Maja was one of the nicest actresses she had met. If by any case, it is Maja who is to take my place, I think it would mark the entrance of a possible versatile actress in the e-circle. To be honest, Lin Yi Chen also surfed the net for info on her and now shes's rooting for her. Zheng Yuan Cheng likes her because he thinks she is very pretty and he really likes her acting style based on what he watched online as well. It is nice that both Yuan Cheng and Yi Chen see the advantage of letting a refreshing face with Philipine descent enter. But Hsu Weilun and Pei Lin think Agnes Monica would do better since she is already carving a name in the Taiwanese entertainment industry as she knows Mandarin and it could draw more audience share for the drama. As of now, none of them are chosen but both of the young actresses are very strong contenders. I like specific qualities from both but I won't choose who I like best."

POINTY high-heeled shoes turned out to be the bane of pop princess Jolin Tsai.

Especially when her concert last Saturday involved prancing about on stage to the beat of fast, energetic numbers.It was a big sacrifice for the 26-year-old Taiwanese singer. During the post-concert press conference, she was limping from table to table for interviews. She admitted her punishing footwear had caused the skin around her toes to peel and bleed. But she bravely shrugged it off, saying her feet 'should recover after two or three days'.

'My toes are still bleeding but I'm very satisfied because I had used my efforts to give myself the best birthday present. One night, while rehearsing the dance steps, I asked myself whether it was worth it to sacrifice my family, friends and love for one concert,' Jolin told reporters.

'But when I was dangling in mid-air just now and heard the applause, I found my answer. Dancing, performing is my life.'

But this wasn't just any concert.

MAIDEN CONCERT

The two-night extravaganza at the Hong Kong Coliseum over Friday and Saturday was her maiden concert in Hong Kong.And despite the painful blisters, the dancing queen showed why she deserved the crown. During Saturday's 2 1/2-hour show, Jolin belted out more than 20 songs and had at least six costume changes. And boy, were her dance moves sizzling.

The 10,000-strong audience watched in awe as she mimicked moves of a professional gymnast. In one segment, she effortlessly raised one leg till it was parallel with a vertical pole. She did somersaults and kept singing even while hanging upside down in mid-air. And like a chameleon, she morphed according to her dazzling costumes. In her body-hugging outfits like a bronze tube-top, her look screamed 'sex goddess'. In a long white cloak, crooning ballads like Le Yuan (Paradise), she resembled a princess in search of her Prince Charming.

She joked in Cantonese with her Hong Kong fans: 'I want a boyfriend. Anyone here wants to be my boyfriend?' The men yelled hysterically. But much to their disappointment, Jolin's Prince Charming for the night was singer-host Alan Luo, whom she was once rumoured to be dating. Alan was also in the audience on the first night of her concert.

'Although we were once rumoured to be lovers, I still like to dance with him,' she said after a dance segment with him. To this, Alan replied: 'Jolin is very pretty tonight. I was very unhappy when I saw her dancing with (hip-hopper Stanley) Huang last night.'

There were also fun costume changes, like when Jolin appeared in a lemon-yellow poncho and was strapped to a structure resembling a boat. A hunky man rowed the boat while she sang the sentimental Jia Mian De Gao Bai (False Declaration Of Love). After that, the structure, with Jolin still strapped to it, was raised in mid-air. Looking as if she was lying on a crescent, Jolin sang Tian Kong (Sky).

To thank her fans for singing along with her in Mandarin, Jolin included one Cantonese song in her repetoire - Jia Zhuang (Pretend). Jolin later told reporters that she gave herself 95 out of 100 for her show and that it was her idea to include the acrobatic and gymnastic elements.

She said: 'I have very high expectations of myself. 'I told myself that I cannot remain at a plateau. 'I want to challenge my own limits.'

When Jolin appeared again, she was sititng on a moon boat, singing her slow sad songs with alot of feelings and then she sang her duet sogn with David Tao, the second guest performer for the night. This caused yet another high 'tide'[atmosphere] among the audience. Jolin has always regarded David as her idol and while singing the song, she hugged him. David also kissed Jolin afterwards, making her face go red. Then, Jolin sang her newest song [Dancing Forever/WeiWuDuQun], a way of telling everyone that shes gonna dance till the end.

　　面對熱情的上海觀眾，Jolin忍不住說了幾句肺腑之言。在翻唱王菲的《懷念》時，她說：“她是我最喜歡的內地歌手，雖然她也和我一樣，緋聞纏身，但我還是要祝福她，希望她能快樂。”而在最後安可部分，Jolin跳完《舞娘》以後，又感性地表示“我知道許多人都拿著放大鏡來看我的演唱會，找我的紕漏，其實我自己也會，只有這樣才能讓我做到最好。”最後，在演唱一首由周傑倫創作的《倒帶》前，她又自嘲：“我在之前的演唱會上唱起這首歌時，每次都忍不住落下眼淚，我知道有些媒體說這是因為緋聞的關系，但是我還是要說，這和緋聞一點關系都沒有，是我想到準備演唱會時的緊張、辛苦和整個演唱過程帶給大家的快樂，有感而發才掉下的眼淚。”

Jolin Tsai first broke into the Taiwanese entertainment industry at age 18, winning first place in an MTV singing competition with a cover of the Whitney Houston song "The Greatest Love of All". After her performance, she was signed by Universal Music Taiwan. Tsai released her first single, 和世界做鄰居(我可以) [hé shìjìe zuò línjū (wǒ kěyǐ), "Be a Neighbor to the World (I Can)"] in July 1999. The single was sold in 7-Eleven convenience stores around the island, and was followed by her first full-length album, Jolin 1019, in September 1999. Tsai's girl-next-door image made her a quick favorite among local teenagers, particularly boys, earning her the nickname "少男殺手" [shàonán shāshǒu, "Teenage Boy Killer"].

Jolin 1019 sold over 400,000 copies throughout Asia[1], and was released in multiple formats in several countries. Tsai released her follow-up album, Don't Stop, in May 2000. This album spawned several singles which charted highly in the great Chinese market, and marked her rise to fame in the region at large. She also released a book of photographs mainly taken in Hawai'i around this time. By Tsai's third album - Show Your Love - her image had changed to suit her age of 21. The album was soothing, with many new tunes; however, its sales did not match those of her previous two records.

Her fourth album, Lucky Number, still did not manage to return her to the popularity she had previously enjoyed, despite its range of new tracks and styles. She also sang the theme song for the movie Atlantis: The Lost Empire. For a year, due to problems with her record company, she did not release any albums. However, she came out with her second photobook, taken in Thailand, and a song composed by Taiwanese singer-songwriter Jay Chou. Eventually, she managed to sign on with Sony Music, leading to the biggest break of her entire career. Her album Magic [看我七十二變, "kān wǒ qīshíèr biàn"] topped the Taiwanese album charts for three months, and sold more than 300,000 copies in Taiwan alone. This transformation gave her what she needed to make a comeback to the music industry after being gone for almost a year.

Tsai's sixth album, 城堡 [chéngbǎo, Castle], sold well and became the top album in many Asian countries. This album featured a few songs, including 倒帶 [dǎodài, "Rewind"], written by Jay Chou. On April 25, 2005, she released her seventh album, J-Game, which also topped charts throughout Asia. This album features one song, 獨佔神話 [dúzhàn shénhuà, "Exclusive Myth"] composed by Lee-Hom Wang. Tsai is now a superstar in Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia, and she has fans worldwide, including a large fan base in the United States of America. Tsai had a hit with "Love Love Love", a cover of the song "Stop Stop Stop" by Nu Virgos. The lyrics were entirely rewritten in Chinese, except for the words "love love love" in the chorus.

In 2006, Jolin have leaved her Sony BMG Record label and join EMI Capitol. Jolin does two J1 concerts in the U.S (New York and Irvine, California). She had Alan Luo as her guest appearance for this J1 concert (in place of Jay Chou). She recently won MTV Asia Style Award 2006 at Bangkok, Thailand (see photo). Jolin has works really hard to improve her dancing skill which has reflected in her music video “Dancing Diva.” “Dancing Diva” is also the name of her new album and it will be her first album under Capitol label which has been set to release on May 12th, 2006.

Taiwan pop diva Jolin Tsai revealed on her website that her breakup with ex-boyfriend Jay Chou was because a third party (ahem...did anyone say Patty Hou!) "interefered with her and Chou's relationship".

The two split up 2 years ago but neither of them had ever admitted to being in a relationship together. However, reports about "Double J Love" and the couple's private lives have never stopped. Earlier last month, Taiwan MC Patty Hou officially announced the end of her love with Jay, which more or less reminded Jolin of her heartbroken past.

The singer wrote a story of her breaking up with Chou in the paid channel of her website, saying that the split-up had brought her severe hurt, both mental and physical. It took her over a year's time to recover. Besides, the singer admitted that she hated Jay at that time and even wanted to curse him. Jolin and the members of [Tsai. C] actually wanted to have a barbeque on the mid-autumn festival but Jolin had to work so it was postponed to the night before. The night b4, Jolin first went to WanQuanYuLe and then to somewhere to shoot an ad. That ad was for Lux and Lux also ordered a cute 'bread car' tied with a pink-coloured ribbon, matching Jolin perfectly.

也許是即將和「蔡幫」聚會心情特別好，Jolin拍廣告的過程當中，一直耍調皮，一會兒扮鬼臉，一會兒又拍拍自己的臀部，完全走「金髮尤物」的性感搞笑路線。

AFter her work ahs completed, Jolin immediately went to Lee Wei's house in Taipei, he then suggested that they gave their bbq in the park behind his house, then they could bbq and admire the moon at the same time. Moreover, the whole group of them need not use the main/front door to go to the park as Lee Wei had a secret passageway to go there, thus they successfully got away from the cameras of the paparazzi.

和「蔡幫」聚會結束後，Jolin在1位幼齒男駕車護送下回到台北忠孝東路EAT的家，由於幼齒男開車可直接進入Jolin家地下停車場，被懷疑是Jolin的新歡。她昨天透過經紀人喊冤，強調幼齒男只是「蔡幫」成員，雖然塔羅牌專家莫利斯預言她年底有戀情，可惜至今沒出現，這次去雪梨開唱，她也會注意真命天子有沒有出現。
After her gathering with [Tsai C.], Jolin was driven back her home by a guy[unidentified] and because he could just drive in into the underground carpark of Jolin's house, he's highly suspected of being Jolin's new bf. However, she expressed yesterday through her manager that the guy is just another member of [Tsai C.] and although tarot-cards master[MoLi] predicted that she would have a new relationship at the end of this year, it's still a pti he has not appeared yet. Jolin said that she will keep a lookout for him to appear when she goes to Sydney.

According to an online fortune-telling site, Patty Hou (侯佩岑) was Jay Chou's (周杰倫) husband in a previous life, but an extramarital affair with a wealthy young lady — Jolin Tsai (蔡依林) — intervened. The lovers rode off into the sunset and the deserted wife ends her life heartbroken.

香港杜莎夫人蠟像館，十月出現第一位台灣人蠟像，他的名字叫周杰倫。雄霸華語流行音樂王座的周杰倫，他在亞洲華語流行音樂的地位，就像現在台北股市的鴻海，穩居民營製造業龍頭。

周杰倫兵團旗幟下，誰是他的謀士？讓周氏音樂席捲整個亞洲，超越王力宏，趕過了陶吉吉，單曲（雙截棍）甚至成為義大利MTV點播第一名。《依然范特西》專輯在九月間一發售，十首單曲一天內占滿KKBOX TOP 10排行榜！

九月三十日的台北火車站，紅衫軍聚集倒扁，正對面的K-Mall廣場，同樣擠滿人群。當一襲牛仔褲，長髮飄逸，掛著甜甜笑容的蔡依林一出席Yamaha飆舞大賽，幾乎同時間的，歌迷舉起手上的手機、數位相機，爭搶拍下偶像的身影。台下的贊助商Yamaha台灣區總經理吉野博行不禁笑開懷：「找來Jolin就對了！」

明星也要有伯樂。周杰倫的伯樂，是阿爾發音樂總經理楊峻榮，他是周王朝的King Maker。
時光拉回到一九九九年，周杰倫還窩在吳宗憲創辦的阿爾發音樂（現為好樂迪集團所有）埋首創作，吳宗憲力邀楊峻榮協助他打理唱片公司，當時的阿爾發只有四位員工，包含創作歌詞的方文山，一副家庭手工業的模樣。楊峻榮見到周杰倫，問他有沒有寫好的Demo帶拿來聽。周杰倫轉身，翻了翻抽屜拿出了《可愛女人》卡帶。
楊峻榮一聽，立時就被吸引，原來，不但歌曲、和聲、到編寫都是周杰倫自己完成的！「他唱歌間隙深呼吸一口氣的感覺，那個是生命力！」
楊峻榮隨後就要細看周杰倫：「帽子脫下來，頭髮撥開來仔細讓我看一下。」「臉沒有肉，皮貼骨，衣架子，腿長，perfect camera face!（完美的上相鏡頭）」楊峻榮心裡知道：「就是他了！」「我馬上跟吳宗憲講，這一角你居然放了一年多！」楊峻榮在吳宗憲的支持下，爭取二千萬元經費力捧周杰倫。

八年前的蔡依林還是景美女中二年級的學生，她參加MTV新生卡位戰歌唱比賽，從五千位參賽者脫穎而出。當時的唱片公司宣傳，現在的EMI Capitol總經理陳澤杉，看到蔡依林後驚為天人。

要成為一線歌手，更需要全方位的行銷策略。周杰倫與蔡依林，就像一塊璞玉，還需要玉匠的開鑿、雕琢。二○○○年底，二十一歲的周杰倫初出道的《Jay》同名專輯，背後就有深深的行銷痕跡。

周杰倫首張專輯就大賣，關鍵在楊峻榮的投資操盤。他不僅砸下八百萬元大買電視台廣告狂播音樂錄影帶（MV），更成功區隔出周杰倫品牌。

周杰倫國二時，父母離婚，媽媽獨力扶養長大，沒有考上大學，患有僵直性脊椎炎，發起病來真是苦不堪言。「太完美的東西不美！」楊峻榮這樣說。於是，阿爾發沒有將周杰倫打造成陽光男孩，真實呈現他。「就像多數沒把書念好的孩子一樣，他對前途，說實在，也搞不清楚，父母都是老師，也沒錢，這就是真實的周杰倫。」

周王朝的首席謀臣楊峻榮，他經營周杰倫的收與放，就像職業棋士落子前，設想千里之外的決戰之路。例如，去年八月周杰倫與Panasonic手機的代言合約結束，楊峻榮空了一年代言時間，寧願損失上千萬元，就是為對得起Panasonic，贏得廣告主的心。


今年九月開始，周杰倫成為摩托羅拉大中華區品牌形象大使。摩托羅拉台灣區市場行銷部總經理黃玉瑩指出，Moto北亞區團隊就是看中周杰倫的音樂原創與對年輕人的影響力，與Moto的品牌風格相符。

隨周杰倫的走紅，阿爾發也從四人變成四十人團隊，全力打造周王朝。周王朝的專輯規格，堪稱全台最高。《依然范特西》十首單曲全部拍MV，光是（本草綱目）、（夜的第七章）與（千里之外）三首歌，MV製作就達一千三百萬元！用規格拉高競爭門檻，也是周王朝聲勢不墜的關鍵。

規避風險、挑選好的廣告合作商、拓展歌唱以外的事業，都有賴良好的經紀人打理。二○○一年，周杰倫剛出道的新春願望是：二年存三百萬元。楊峻榮知道後告訴他：「杰倫，你光詞曲版稅的收入就是這個願望的二倍！」周杰倫驚訝得嘴巴呈現Ｏ字形。

此時此刻稚嫩的周杰倫，是野心不過存幾百萬元的小歌手。但操盤手楊峻榮心裡的盤算，絕對是這個數字的一百倍！

楊峻榮直到去年才讓周杰倫擔綱電影《頭文字Ｄ》裡的主角藤原拓海。「現在不要接，等你二十五歲了再說。因為，你要去演一個人何其容易啊！你已經是音樂界的天王，不要砸了自己的招牌。」周杰倫一炮而紅後，被打了預防針。

《頭文字Ｄ》裡的拓海個性羞澀、愛車，簡直就跟周杰倫一個樣。楊峻榮笑說，他只要演自己就行了。加上這部片子又有導演劉偉強與麥兆輝背書，是他們繼電影《無間道》系列後的首部作品，他們更緊張！果然，《頭文字Ｄ》的亞洲票房破億元港幣，周杰倫首次登上大銀幕就拿到去年金馬獎最佳新人獎。
