Jolin practised her dance steps everyday just for her concert yesterday and she chose to sing live for fast and slow songs in her concert ytd too. However, the weather was very hot ytd and this posed a problem to Jolin as she does not like the feeling of hot air around her and she will perspire more.

This concert is said to have spent about 500 thousand dollars and Jolin's clothes and styling are alreayd about 100 thousand dollars. She changed a total of 4 outfits yesterday, a hiphop one, a more boyish one, a romantic girly gown and a "dancing diva" styled one which showed her perfect figure. She also wore the expensive lux necklace that lux had made for her and it costs about 500 thousand dollars too, making the workers very worried, for fear that the diamonds would jsut shatter on the ground.

Special guest stanley huang, was still playing around during the rehearsal that afternoon and he sat on the sofa like a king as his appearance onto the stage. He teased Jolin who had to act sexy for their performance, making them both laugh and fall onto the sofa together. But when it was time for the real thing, stanley was very cooperative and he oso managed to singand perform their song in a sexy amnner as he was supposed to do so too. Another group of special guests, energy, replaced edison in the mr.q mv and they danced mr q with jolin, all of them very close to one another, making the fans scream at onepoint of time.

Jolin had performed yoga, piano and oso flute before and she yesterday, challenged the instrument, the harp, which she only went for two lessons on it. Because of this performance, she had to trim her manicured nails which was sort of a relaxing method[doing her nails] for Jolin for the past few years. Jolin said laughingly that she really could not bear such nails andshe hopes that this little sacrifice could help in er harp performance.

There were also 100 gal dancers that jolin ahd picked personallyon the stage with her. They danced 'a wonderof real madrid' and jolin oso performed 'dancing diva' just like one. However the wind was too strong for her to perform her ribbon dance but still, Jolin's charm could be seen and felt by everyone. When she sang prologue, she shed somr tears and ahd to stop singing for 5 seconds, making her fans shed tears too.

luuman: hi! jolin was a tracker for soem time when she was schooling and bowling was her second extra-currcicular activity when she was in university.

Jolin's first album Dancing Diva at Capitol is selling pretty well now, she has already defeated wang lee hom who had released his album for six months already although she has only released hers for two months, becoming the top-albumseller for the first half of the year. Second in place is wang lee hom anf third is tank while fourth and fifth are rainie yang and ah-mei respectively. Jolin who has practised ribbon dance alot for [dancing diva] said happily: "Thanks to everyone who has the passion and love for the ribbon-girl haha, the six hundred television notices i went to are certainly very worth it!"

According to the g-music records, Jolin's [Dancing Diva] won wang lee hom with a percentage of 6.25% while his [Heroes of Earth] percentage was 5.2%. Wang lee hom wo's company was SonyBmg once told the media that his album sales of 180000 will make him become the top-albumseller of the first half of 2006, but unexpectedly to them, Jolin's album sales are getting better and better and when g-music did their calculation, [Dancing Diva] is the first one ultimately.

Jolin although only released her album 4 months after lee hom but the sales capitol recorded is about 200000 album sopies and the figure is beleived to shoot up because tml, the celebration cop of [Dancing Diva] will be released, sorta proving capitol's determination to let Jolin beat Jay for the top-album seller of 2006.

However Jolin said that: "To be happy, i msut not be socalculative." Her MSN display name now is [There's still half a year of my ticket-based concerts(J2) left, half a year has gone by already, omg!] Showing her focus for the next half of 2006 is on her concerts, they are more important than getting first.

Wang lee hom although being second in place, has already earned lots of money absed on his endorsements, its no wonder sonybmg wanted to continue their contract with him and theres oso rumours that hes going to act in a movie soon.

Tank is the only newcomcer in the top 5 and although his endorsement fees and all are not as steep as the other seniorsbut he can receive two school-based concerts a day on the average, seems that he will become very rich soon too.

Rainie Yang's [Meeting Love] sold about 130000copies although the results are worse than her first albumwhich sold about 160000copies in 2005, but her endorsements are quite alot too.As for the fifth in place, Ah-mei, her album [I Want Happiness] sold for 115000 copies and it is considered very good for her too.

A Jolin who is not rebellious enough

Jolin Tsai's idol is Madonna, this should be another one more thing we have in common bah..other than the fact that we both have the same chinese zodiac which is monkey.
"I hope that i can be like madonna in the future, leading the fashion in music, dance, stage and oso on clothes. She is my goal for an artiste." This was wad Jolin told me 3 years ago
3 years later, Jolin transformed into a gal with good looks and figure and possessing excellent dance skills. She oso transformed from a young-boy killer into a heavenly queen in the music industry.
I thought carefully, Jolin and Madoona did not really have muc contact or sth in common in character-wise, it could even be said that the distance between them is alot.
Madonna abandoned her father and their traditional christian religion beliefs, left her hometown and from thatmoment onwards, she was a brave warrior and on the stage, she appears to be very rebellious and plays with her sexiness openly while privately, she first married 西恩潘 and den had kids b4 she married and den married a second time to an england director, becoming a good lady at home den she published a children's book, you can never predict what madonna could do the next moment.
Jolin is the little princess, good daughter, good student in her father's eyes from young. Even when she had a lawsuit case lastime and oso in the signing of a new contract with Capitol months ago, her father was always a key person in both matters. Her most rebellious act in her life, i guess, was stepping into the entertainment circle.She once said: "The most confident thing i have with me is my voice."
In Madonna's dictionary, there's no winning or losing, only 'want' or 'don't want'. Jolin is different, her stubborn character and all her hard work is fulfilling her self-confidence, into becoming a perfect performer.
She worked very hard to lose weight, practise dancing, becoming prettier and prettier.

Sometimes, i sorta pity Jolin.
Because her 24 horus are really transparent in front of everyone, news of her are reported daily, the paparazzi hot on her heels everyday but all these are quite empty actually.
I dunno what or when is it that made her suffer alot of pressure, going into the music industry at the age of 19 or the 2 years of her lawsuit problems. She's always do perfect in front of the media, so perfect and flawless just like a little doll, as if she has lost some human flaws. Therefore, her human flaws are always shown in front of the paparazzi's camera, the perfect quenn sometimes also has lonely moments.
I told her, when she was saying her views on the jay-patty relationship, she was so perfect till people might feel its frightening. i tot that it was her manager who asked her to say all that but in fact, it was all her own thoughts. Jolin while going for perfection, she is also at the same time a kind angel.
"I would actually like to see you with more human flaws instead." I told her.
Because this is a magazine interview, Jolin's defence pyschology is still present, she appeared shocked on my views and said: "I feel that the entertainment circle is actually testing your patience and tolerance actually. I know that the media loves to see us, artistes, crying or breaking down etc, but i will not be like that."
This answer made mespeechless for awhile, i admit, scenes of artistes breaking down or crying will be a very good content, but what im focusing about now is humanity or human flaws in this case, she can just be not that perfect or show some unhapiness somtimes, that will be more like a human being.
Concerning love, Jolin is still like a little girl but she emphasisedthat, no matter talking about just going steady or marriage, she will not give up her career.
"I feel that this is my character, what i said today are all from the bottom of my heart. When chatting with the workers around me, there will be some negative thoughts from them about some things, i would ask them why will they have those thoughts and they will ask me instead, why will i not have those thoughts."
Jolin sometimes, dunno whther is it innocence or abit of dumb feelings, she always have naive actions.
"My character is quite optimistic, i will not look at someone badly usually." I asked her again whether it was optimism or just strong suppression of her feelings and she emphasised strongly again that it is optimism.
"I actually trust people quite easily, if u interact with me more, you will know my character, i will not pretend to be all nice or to boot-lick someone, but i will be polite to you. However i will not be too over till when i see you for the first time, i act as if i've known you for 10 years, will instead let you discover slowly more about me and how my character is like. Even if someone tells me sth bad about others, i will not be biased but only put that on ahnd and be mroe careful when i talk to that person ion the future. If someone dislikes me, i will only learn how to protect myself more next time."

These times. if women are not bad, men wun like.
"I think i am considered to be quite kind bah! People around me have been telling me to be more evil in the future." At this moment, the workers around Jolin started nodding their heads furiously and even said ludly: " Why are u so kind? Are you still human?" They aslo agree with my views, this is then called humanity. Jolin laughed andsaid: "Yesyes, i am learning to be more rebellious."
'Rebellious' is not sth to be learnt, it requires confidence and courage, someone said.
"Then can you now talk about jay being ur past?" I asked quickly and she oso answered me very quickly: "No, i don't want to talk anything related to him." And she was smiling while she said that.
"Then in future, is there any chance that both of you will work together again?" I could only further ask. Jolin seemed to answer very indecisively, first she said that currently no, den she said that if it were to be movies, we must see the script and etc first, but is quite difficult because not all scripts are suitable, den she lastly said there's really alot of stress because once they[jolin and jay] are put together, the rumours will be endless and if this is was her first movie, she did nto want the focus to be on the wrong things.
"But the news always like to link u and jay together?"I asked again. She still smiled and said: "There's alot of things not concerning me, the galfriends the media were spreading, i am oso not that close with them, im not him so i dunno and i don't keep contact with him, what do you want me to say? I am not one who knows how to say lies and if i really know something, i would say my views straight out."
"Den what about Xiaozhu?" i asked. "Xiaozhu and me are just really good friends and making friends with others now, if he gets hurti will show my concern for sure but like rumours etc, its really not my business and i will feel like a love consultant for my friends so i prefer not to answer."
Entering the entertainment industry when she was 19, Jolin once went through some bad times, now she has self-confidence but lacks a lover.

"What is ur attitude towards love then?" I asked.

"I think that love is something which will excite ppl, my opinion towards it has never changed, i am still like a little gal waiting for her true love to appear and oso hope that i will have a relationship full of passion and excitement but my stubborness will only allow love to take over me for a short period of time but not for a long period of time. No matter love or mariage, i will definitely not give up on my career. The guys i like, when i chat with them i must have the feel, both of us feeling each other's 'electricity' and charm, knows that i like him and he lieks me, this kind of feeling is very hard to describe actually."
"As for marriage candidates, i think he must be matured and will make a girl happy, will not be too cowardly and afraid of changes but like me, having ambitions for our careers, and must be one who can face obstacles and difficulties. Now i don't see marriage and love as the msot impt factor because they seem to be very distant from me, finding someone who i can have a relationship for more than a year now is already very difficult, so i don't tink of marriage but i do hope for true love."
I told Jolin, theres alot of new artistes now hu set her as a goal. Because her famous quote is "Working hard will not always ensure success but if u don't work hard, there will be no success definitely." This is like a curse acting on her mind.
"Actualy i don't purposely tell everyone how hardworking, how good i am, i only do what i love to and have interest in, i just want to tell everyone that if u want something and its sth that u can achieve, like losing weight, dancing better or learning sth new, if u have determination den you can surely achieve that particular thing." So regardless of anything, Jolin always does things with all her efforts, forever so professional and perfect till everyone admires.
"Perhaps from young, the poeple around me in my life are quite clever, i knew i was not a genius from young and my parents would tell me that too, but i always went to the top classes so people tot i was smart, resulting that i had to pretnd that i was smart and try my best in my studies, but when u just cannot squeeze into the top three in class no matter how much u studied, you will realise that you are nto a genius, so i really try my best in my studies then."
I really cannot tolerate and asked Jolin, doesn't she ever feelt that she should be mroe wilful? or more rebellious? "I du ahve the rebellious genes in me and i know when to pull myself back to reality, my wilfulness at most it just crying. Because i will always think of the consequences, so i don't act wilful, my clear-mindedness will always pull me back somehow, but wilful ppl will not think of the consequences usually." So Jolin is always paying more efforts, determination and strong will then she will achieve her goals slowly.

I remember, Jolin's innocent look when she just came into the music industry, the Jolin in secondary school days, with a snake tattoo on her forefinger and participating in singing competitions should be the most rebellious time of her life till now.

Jolin is going to be a guest performer in Stephanie's concert. Both of them are very good friends and stephanie has always hoped to invite Jolin to perform with her during her concert.Jolin oso specically adjusted her scheldue just to perform with stephanie. At first, their plan was that one of them was supposed to dress up like a guy and then the otehr, as a gal den have some intereaction together. However, jolin said that she wanted to be the guy but stephanie said that she looks more like one than jolin. so in the end, btoh decided to dress up as guys and see who looks like one more, they are going to dance together too.

Jolin recently went to hongkong to shoot some photos for her concert and she had a all black style, bringing surprise to her first concert in hongkong. In order to design a black-themed makeup etc for Jolin, her stylists along with her spent 3 hours from head to toe before letting her go for the photoshoot and den spent about 1 hour to take off all her make-up etc. However, after Jolin had seen the outcome, she stated that the long amt of time was not wasted at all.

thanks layzie for the news!

erm the news is basically about her concert in hongkong on september 15,16. She is asked about who are the guest performers in her concert and Jolin said that she has asked alot o her good friends but becos her world tour concertkicks off in only september, many of them are still in the midst of checking their scheldues etc. People she has asked include, wang lee hom, stephanie sun, edison chen, xiaozhu luo zhi xiang and mayday etc. Reporters asked her if she will invite jayand she replied:" I do not contact with him now so i dunno if hes free. If i have the chance, i will ask him." Then the reporters asked about jay and patty's broken relationship rumours and she said:" I really don't keep in touch with him these days as we are both busy and actually this is none of my business." will add other things i forgot[if any] when im free sry ^^

and to yingxuan: there are two versions of dancing diva in sg..one is the one with her in white and with the ribbon and the other is Jolin with a blue eye on the cover of the cd. I think the xiezhenji is the one with her in white and holding the ribbon. The one with her with her blue eye on the cover includes all her mvs dvd. its also a celebration version of wuniang. inside the xiezhenji, includes photos of her in budapest[where she filmed ma de li bu si yi mv] hope this can help u ^^

Rain, Jolin, Edison and Louis Koo recently shot a pepsi ad in korea. And becase the theme of the advertisements for 2006 is a circus theme, everyone had to practise some sorta little skills or tricks b4 shooting the ad, Edison felt that it was very difficult.

Jolin：「現在Eidson在練那個罐子，聽說沒有人成功過，所以他們現在很認真練習。」工作人員：「Eidson要這樣挺一下。」Eidson：「很難，應該做不了。」jolin：「做不到嗎？」Eidson：「所以我們可以回家了吧！哈哈哈哈！」
Jolin:" Now Edison is practising how to play with the cans, i heard that no one has succeeded b4 so he is really practising very hard now." The workers:" Edison you have to bump it up like that."
Edison:" So diificult, i think i cannot do it." Jolin:" You can't?" Edison:" So let's go home now! Haahahahaha!"

反而Jolin及Rain就比較簡單，2人只要互飆舞藝便可以了。古天樂耍皮鞭亦很麻煩，皮鞭並不是那麼容易控制的。
For Jolin and Rain, their tasks were much easier, they only had to sort of do ashort duel dance together. Louis Koo had to play around with whips and he thinks that the whips are very troublesome and hard to control.

Jolin：「古天樂他今天是要來耍皮鞭，那個『成家班』的技術人員在教他，這樣轉很難嗎？」古天樂：「還可以，但是有一點點困難。」Jolin：「小心不要被砸到！」Jolin：「平常有玩皮鞭的這個嗜好嗎？」古天樂：「平常我沒有，你有嗎？」
Jolin:" Lousis has to perform with the whips today, that teacher over there teaching him is from the ChanAcrobaticSchool, the whips are evry hard to control?" Louis:" Okay, but its alittle bit difficult." Jolin:" Be careful not to be hit!" Jolin:" Do you have the hobby of playing with whips usually?" Louis:" Normally no, what about you?"

Singer Jolin Tsai, yesterday was seen with a college boy and rumored to be her boyfriend. Today, (22) she was at a Valentine's Day spokesperson activity, and expressed that they were just good friends. And this year's Valentine's Day, she's already planned to spend it with her girl friends, and have a singles party.

"Dancing Diva" (舞娘) is Jolin's first single of her album. "The Prologue" (開場白) is her last single from the album, and the lyrics: "Let's not walk anymore, let's not be awkward, let's not go back to look for reasons, hoping that we can start being happy. We agreed, won't say go..." These lyrics is hard to let people think of the relationship she was rumored to have with Jay Chou. But when talking about the lyrics for this song, Jolin admits that "Modern people who break up - it's really hard for them to stay forever friends, I hope that I can meet someone like that. But that kind of situation is really hard. Most people end their releationship awkwardly. This song expresses how I feel about love relationships."

As for her every single, she has to get 600 or more, so she's constantly spending her days and nights on airplanes. Sometimes she'll have so much pressure she just wants to "let it out". Some caring fans notices that she gives off the impression sometimes that "I'm too tired, I just want to hide." Yesterday, reporters asked her about that, and she generouslly answered that "Just like a rubber band, if you stretch it too much, it'll snap. Singaporean singer Stefanie Sun and friend Jolin Tsai jointly presented a stunning gig over the weekend at Sun's concert.

The concert taken place at the Taipei Multi-Functional Arena, known as Little Dome, last Saturday.

Attached to a steel wire that landed her on the stage from above, Sun started the night with one of her hits, "The Kite."

Later, "Dancing Diva"Jolin Tsai made her dazzling appearance in a man's black costume, joining Sun on the song "Take Your Time."

Sun altogether sang 25 songs at the concert and changed costumes nine times.

Not all the songs were performed for her fans. The singer also sang two songs for herself that she did not sing well on the same stage at the Golden Melody Awards in June.

Other stars like Wang Leehom, A-shin and Fish Leong also enjoyed the concert on stage that night.

Taiwan pop star Jolin Tsai will kick off her world tour at the Hong Kong Coliseum on September 15 and 16. ??

The 25-year old singer promoted her first concert stop at a press conference last Monday in Hong Kong, saying she's very nervous about her debut performance at the Hong Kong Coliseum, where many very professional concerts have been held. ??

Many pop singers will also be invited to guest perform on her world tour, including Taiwan actor and singer Alan Luo, Taiwan singer Wang Lee Hom and Singaporean singer Stefanie Sun. Taiwan pop king Jay Chou is not included on the guest star list.

Jolin Tsai said she has meticulously planned her concerts in Hong Kong so as not to repeat the stage designs or special effects that other performers have used.

The report in the post above is typically any report one can find in newspapers or magazines nowadays in tw or hk. Well i bet everything was exaggerated at least a little in the reports. Jolin's response to the accident was in a more humourous way, no harm. She can do nothign abt it anyway, when it was purely an accident. She can't possibly whine over it when the reporters asked her abt it or complain that the reporters are too despicable to be waiting at oen side, ready with their cameras and pen+paper to catch any scenes of any female artiste's body being exposed. However many reports just like to potray her as if she wants to let the reporters shoot some misleading photos and publish them, den write misleading stuff so as to increase the sales of their newspaper/magazine.

Jolin Tsai who is going to have her concert on ehr birthday soon at the hk red coliseum, will be undergoing a 1-month shut-off period from 15th sept to prepare for her upcoming concert. And her managing company has also invited an american teacher Link to teach her new dance steps, costing her managing company abt one hundred thousand dollars for a mere 3 days. Her company has also applied a 5 million dollars insurance for Jolin's legs as she has suffered alot of bruises recently while practising her various dances.

Link has taught famous artistes like Mariah Crey before and he greatly praised Jolin for her flexibility.

Reporters came to do a spot-check on Jolin, who was learning the dance of the theme song of her concert 《唯舞独尊》, which is also the theme for the whole concert, meaning that only dance shall reign all. Jolin and her manager promised to open a party after the cocnert where everyone would drink till they are drunk and enjoy themselves to the fullest.

Jolin has been practicing everyday for her Hong Kong concert on September 15, 16. Everyday, she practices at least 8 hours. The longest is 11 hours without stopping. Yesterday, she was filming for her concert's theme song "唯舞獨尊" (Wei Wu Du Zun - Solo Dance Respect?) MV, she brought up that the rumors between her and Stanley Huang, laughed and said that they are just "good friends."

On the day of her 26th birthday, Jolin will be in Hong Kong holding a concert. To get herself ready for the next level, she's asked four world-known dance choreographers and teachers to choreograph new moves for her. She puts herself totally into preparing for this concert. Asked whether or not Stefanie Sun will show up? Jolin keeps us in suspense by saying: "Very possible! Concert guest performers are all pretty much established now."

In "唯舞獨尊" MV, Jolin plays three different characters - a horseback rider, a lady, and a sexy girl. Most of the dances used are the newly learned ones; sometimes when the choreographer hears a different beat, they'll change the dance moves, causing Jolin to yell she can't take it.
