BANGKOK : Asia's biggest music stars showed off their finest Saturday at MTV's regional awards show, in a glitzy concert broadcast around the continent from the heart of Bangkok's commercial district.

Fans waited for as long as five hours to catch a glimpse of their favorite celebrities -- including the likes of "Mission Impossible 3" star Maggie Q -- parading along a red carpet entrance to the performance hall.

Grammy-winner and Destiny's Child member Kelly Rowland hosted the show with Wang Leehom, who won for the best Taiwanese artist.

The two hosts sang after an explosive opening performance by nu metal band Korn, in an evening that mixed artists from different countries and styles.

Taiwan's pop queen Jolin Tsai, who won the style award, gave an acrobatic hip-hop performance of "Dancing Diva" with twirling gymnastics ribbons.

Bombshell diva Tata Young, who took best Thai artist, and former British boy bander Lee Ryan sang "Endless Love," while Wang Leehom sang a Chinese opera-inspired version of "Heroes on Earth."

Webbe, who belonged to Blue with Ryan, joined Thai group Thaitanium to perform "No Worries."

Rowland also debuted her new single "Gotsta Go" before a swooning crowd of 5,000 people in a packed house.

"It was more than I expected, and it was a lot of fun," Rowland said after the show, praising her co-host as full of "great energy."

The show was a smaller affair than last year's awards show, which came in the aftermath of the Indian Ocean tsunami and was transformed into a global aid concert for the recovery effort.

That didn't deter the screaming crowd.

"We love Vanness. He's smart and can dance so well. He's so sexy when he dances," squealed Rin Khaochot, 30, who came with a group of Vanness Wu fans wearing T-shirts with his name on them.

"The male artist I really want to win is Eminem. I love him so much, I wish he could be here," said Pomme Kessung, a 19-year-old Bangkok student who won a ticket to the show in a raffle.

Awards were handed out to international stars, as well as to the best artists from around Asia.

Latin heartthrob Ricky Martin was named favorite male artist, while Kelly Clarkson took best female artist.

Backstreet Boys won for favorite pop act, Green Day for best rockers, and Simon Webbe for best breakthough artist. Best video went to Korn for "Twisted Transistor."

In the Asian categories, Vicky Zhao won from mainland China, Twins from Hong Kong, Jai from India, and Peterpan from Indonesia.

Seven took the honor for South Korea, Mawi for Malaysia, Rivermaya for Philippines and Taufik Batisah for Singapore.

With Taiwan's popular F4, Vanness Wu and Kangta are to especially work together as a group but they revealed the bitter objections that the fans had.

On May 6th, after performing in the MTV Asia Awards 2006, Kangta received an interview and said, "After the group news spread, the H.O.T fans expressed opposition." Fans hoped that they will forever have the memory of him as a H.O.T member.

Moreover, Vanness said, "I heard that F4 fans were happy regarding this Asia music and the two member group. During the two months preparing for our first album, Korean Vanness fans and Kangta fans were preparing food for us together and gave us encouragement. Thus we obtained a very big strength and I'm very happy."

On May 2004's Taiwan music award ceremony, Vanness meets Kangta and expressed that he has interest in Korean music and hope to work together. Later they secretly established this two member group.

Kangta and Vanness will release their first album in Korea that contains Korean, Chinese, and English songs. On May 10th, they will hold a fan meeting at Seoul to officially start their activities.

"Fans of HOT don't agree of me singing with Vanness. " Korean singer, Kangta spilled the beans of the facts of fans disagreeing of Vanness and him forming a group. At the 5th MTV Asia Awards held in Bangkok on the 6th of June. Kangta and Vanness appeared together for the first time. Although they shown the good brothers attitude, their forming still caused fans to protest.

Kangta and Vanness had a short performance at the awards show. After that, when Kangta was recieving an interview, he told the reporters, "Ever since news of the formation of the group was spread, fans of HOT and group S all did not agree to this. Fans hope i can stay as a HOT member in memory all the time." Also, Vanness fans started discussing, "Their working together would meant chances of Vanness working with F3 would lessen. And that means, appearing with F4 would strike a lower chance and what is the difference between separated ?" When the misunderstanding of F4 being separated was solved during the HK concert. Vanness now have to bother about the same situation again. However, Vanness himself seemed to have taken note of that and hope to get his fans' support. "During the 2 months that both Kangta and I was doing the recording for the album, fanclub of mine and fans of Kangta sent the food that they have made, giving us lots of encouragement. Vanness got to meet Kangta coincidently during the 2004 Golden Melody Awards in Taiwan. He expressed himself of the korean music and his dream of hoping to work together. re: MAA perf -- for me both kangta & vann are great performers individually pero together parang wala pang chemistry. 2nd scandal wasn't a catchy tune for me if you compare it to Lee Hom & Bi's perfect harmony. well 1st cut pa lang naman un, let's hope the remaining ones are better.

Vanness likes Japanese food and people. The previous time he visited Japan, he admires the attitude Japanese have towards their work. To hold a concert in Japan has always been his dream, being able to fulfil his dream, Vanness said confidently he will learn more abt Japan and the language and does not want to disappoint his fans.

Vanness has never failed to thank his fans. Lastly, he added: "I'm what i am now coz of all of u. At the airport, i was so happy that i wish to hug each and everyone. "

On the 10th, former H.O.T member Kangta and Vanness Wu from Taiwan's F4 held their new song concert at a Seoul University 100th Anniversary Memorial Hall. There were more than 1,000 fans there with people even from Taiwan, China, Japan, and other countries. They struggled to get interviewed by the reporters, which showed that their anticipation for this duo is quite high.

After singing the soothing song of '127 Days', Kangta and Vanness showed the fans clips of their filming of the photoshoot and their MTV Asia Awards performance. Afterwards, they also sang their new songs 'Wild Flower' and 'Scandal'.

Kangta expressed that they are planning to be in various Korean television broadcast. They are also planning to promote by having performances in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China.

Their album 'Kangta & Vanness' will be out in the markets on the 18th of this month; June in Japan, Taiwan, China, Thailand, and other Asian countries.

K-pop superstar Kangta and Taiwanese pop music sensation Vanness Wu got onstage as a duo for the first time in Korea this week, sending more than a thousand girl fans wild.

It is only early May, but the weather was already hot on Wednesday. The Centennial Memorial Hall in Yonsei University, western Seoul, where the new duo, Kangta & Vanness were making their debut, was sweltering. The 1,000-seat venue (which is not air-conditioned) was packed with excited fans of the two superstars.

"We are just gonna rock Asia," said Wu, member of the Taiwanese boy band legend F4, during the performance. "We have a different fan base, but they have all come together to support us tonight, which is amazing and beautiful."

The one hour-long performance began with "127 days," a song with an R&B feel from their upcoming debut album. The song is about an unexpected, awkward reunion with an ex-girlfriend. Cheering turned to shrill screaming when the two stars finally showed up on stage, and it got even higher-pitched when Kangta's beautiful and appealing voice harmonized with the whispering English rap of Wu. Soon the venue became a sea of blue and white glow sticks (representing the fans of Wu and Kangta, respectively), waved frantically by the fans who were virtually all teenage girls. SM Entertainment, host of the event, invited e-mail applications for seats from the fans, a plan which got totally out of hand with more than 7,000 mails in three hours.

"I feel a responsibility. I think there should be more cross-national duos and bands created to enhance musical exchanges among Asian countries," said Kangta, former member of the now-disbanded boy band HOT. "Why not 'Vanness and Kangta? Well, alphabetic order maybe? Oh, I'm kidding. It will be named in that way in Taiwan and China."

During the performance hosted by popular female comedian Park Kyung-rim, Wu proved that he is ready to fit himself into Korean culture, showing off not only his singing, dancing and rapping talents, but also rather fluent Korean and deep understanding of the country's pop culture.

"I have been familiar with Korean culture and language from when I was very young, so I didn't have many problems recording songs in Korean," said Wu who claims to be a close friend of such renowned K-pop stars as Shin Hye-sung, Kim Jo-han (former singer of R&B trio Solid) and Lee Ji-hoon.

The first encounter of the two superstars dates back to 2004, when they were invited to the annual Golden Melody Awards of Taiwan. Since then, the management companies of the two have prepared for the birth of the super duo.

"Kangta was a superstar when I went to high school. He is good-looking and his vocals are amazing," said Wu, who purchased Kangta's HOT album at that time. Kangta responded by saying, "I guess many of you remember Wu as a long-haired pretty boy from 'Meteor Garden,' but onstage, he is a powerful and charismatic rapper."

Following "127 days," the new duo presented two more songs: "Wild Flower," a remake of a hit from Italian pop band Skylark, and "Scandal," a so called "Crunk & B" (a newly evolving genre of music originated by Usher, which combines energetic cRunk tracks with R&B elements) type of dynamic song featuring Wu's rap.

The album is scheduled to be released next week, while the duo will appear on television for the first time on Sunday, through "SBS Ingigayo."

"Maybe we will have concerts in Hong Kong, China, Korea and Taiwan later, but for now our concern is working really hard to show everybody what's up and having really good shows," Wu said with a smile.

Yesterday’s MTV awards was a star filled event and international stars from all over came. Taiwan came with 4 representatives, Leehom, Jolin, Vanness, and Zhang Chen. Host Leehom modestly gave his hosting an 8, “It was my first time hosting and I was a bit nervous and some parts, the nerves got the best of me.” Meanwhile, former “shi-mei” Jolin Tsai was extremely proud of herself and gave herself a 9.5 for her performance.

Jolin who is no longer with SonyBMG was still on friendly terms with Leehom backstage, however, this Taiwanese Princess wasn't seen much at the afterparty. She wished Leehom an early 30th birthday (which is in about a week) and Leehom wished her great success on her album. Leehom was very proud of Jolin, he has watched her grow from a young girl on a singing competition (on which Leehom was a judge) to a successful lady.

Leehom was also very proud of close friend Vanness, who is stepping onto the next level of his career by forming a group with Korean heartthrob Kangta. Last night Leehom surprisingly talked to Shu Qi’s rumored ex-boyfriend Zhang Chen and the two got along very well. Zhang Chen who has his big break playing the "handsome' bandit in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, is quite the heartthrob.

The three Taiwan princes conversed about music for a long time. Vanness hoped that Leehom would compose a song for him and Kangta because he really enjoyed the song Leehom produced and composed for Bi, Lim Jeong Hee, and himself. Vanness and Leehom have been close friends for a very long time. Vanness has participated in Leehom’s Ai Cou video. Since Leehom was the director of that music video, he specifically chose Vanness because Vanness knows some Kung-Fu. The rest of the night whenever Leehom and Vanness ran into each other they seemed to have a secret code or an inside joke, they traded words in English frequently and joked about seemingly very weird things.

Vanness arrived in Thailand with Kangta, but he’s leaving Thailand without him, because Vanness is going back to Taiwan.

Leehom and Vanness are leaving Thailand together the morning of the 8th.

Love Songs touches people's heart, Hot dance splashed with Sexiness

Vanness Wu and Kangta performed together for the first time in Korea the night before. Just both of them raising their hands was enough to make fans scream. Vanness imitated a small part of a korean variety comedy show, singing together with Kangta and sang a small portion in korean, making all the audiences laugh out loud. Quan Xiang You and Boa was also downstage to enjoy the show.

At the showcase the night before, Vanness and Kangta's humor was there. Their slow songs sung together touched people and the faster beat song, Scandal, they showed their dancing skills, very sexy making fans scream as if the roof was going to burst.

When Vanness was recieving the interview, he was very humorous and successfully grabbed his fans' hearts. The host wanted him to imitate Kangta's high pitch singing and Vanness mischeviously sang in the lowest tone. After that, his head turned fast enough and he sang this children's song, San Tu. Korean fans was shocked and even Kangta said, "That's shocking."

Vanness said, he was so on good terms with Kangta that they didn't even have any conflicts at all. Kangta even used chinese to emphasis, "never once." Kangta finds that, Vanness knows how to rap, just nice in the fast beat songs that Kangta cannot replace his diffculties while Vanness praised him with good vocals.

Their highest record was being together for 15 hours a day. Other than music, it was men's talk and talking about women. Vanness laughed and said, "We both say we're very lonely." He revealed, Kangta just ended a relationship, the 127 days in the new album describes the feeling of meeting after 127 days. Vanness seemed to have the same feelings about it and emphasis that this song writes out all guy's feelings.

Vanness haven't been contacting his taiwanese friends for awhile so he has no idea that Vivian went for a operation. Recently, when he was shooting some promo pictures, he revealed his 8-pack muscles. To seek perfectness, he had only water and fruits on that day. Before the shoot, he was doing lots of sit-ups. He laughed and said, "This way, it'll look more obvious."

Vanness's body grow and slim down easily and he cannot stand it when his body goes out of proportion. Korean's crew members thought they hadn't give him enough hospitality to make him only eat green vegetables everyday.

Se7en is MTV’s Favourite Korean Artiste.
JUST as Korean films and TV dramas are taking the world by storm, K-pop (Korean pop music) looks set to follow suit.

When the MTV Asia Awards held in Bangkok on May 6 gave out the first trophy of the night to a South Korean star, the KBS World Radio website quickly trumpeted the move as being a testament to the popularity of their music in the Asian region.

The Favourite Korean Artiste Award went to Se7en. Last year’s recipient was Rain.

Vanness Wu, a member of Taiwanese boyband F4, in presenting the award said he was pleased to hand out an award honouring Korean music, the most popular these days.

Backstage after getting his award, Se7en said: “As soon as the event opened, I felt that Korean pop music could really compete on the world stage. I think K-pop will have a lot of potential for growth.”

When asked about his win, the 21-year-old cutie replied: “It feels great to receive an award in Korea but to win an Asia award, I just can’t express how happy it makes me. I think the experience was made even sweeter when I also performed on stage.”

The young singer’s stunning renditions of Passion and a remixed version of I Know It were said to have left the audience spellbound.

waaah!!!! have watched vann and kangta's performance sa SBS. grabe, ka- inlove ng boses ni vanness lalo na pag nagna- narrate na, kakalusaw!!! di ko mshado like yung kaitsurahan nya these days (korean- look kasi, hehe. dbq sa mga into korean) pero sobrang loves ko pa rin vann!!!!!!!!!! galing nung ballad nila. sino meron lyrics nya, papost mga sisters!!!!! like ko din yung 2ng scandal, cool ang beat. gusto ko yung lyrics na "u & me, we'll have a battle (somethin like that) tonight" waaah!!! parang merong mangyayari, haha...

"THE STAGE WAS TOO SMALL FOR KT & VN!" (NOT ENOUGH ROOM)^^

Popular singer Kangta and Taiwan star Vanness (F4 Oh GunHo)
were on the 14th on SBS' "Inkigayo Live" for a spectacular debut
performance!

To date, this show program has been recorded as a live
broadcast and on it were KT & VN in the same white outfit
performing great songs with so much style!
The ballad "127 Days" and the dance song "Scandal"...both
songs were performed by KT & VN with stylish/classy/charming/
perfect harmony and chemistry!

On this day, KT & VN displayed their perfect harmony with
"127 Days" and with "Scandal" they, with their dancers, filled the
stage to the point that there wasn't enough room for them and
gave a spectacular performance!

The viewers commented "the two were very much the Asia stars
that they are and gave a grand debut performance...and we
really enjoyed it!", and were praising that "They were so
charming/stylish" (note: the Korean word "mut-juh" is difficult
to translate...I keep saying stylish/charming/etc...but it's even
more...like mesmerizing? impressive? it's usually said to express
that you're really impressed or in awe of someone...but the root
word "mut" directly translates to "style"...)

With this debut performance, KT & VN will be performing on the
show program for about one month and then they plan to tour Asia.

It's been K-pop everything in Taiwan of late. Now, Taiwan stars want to be big in Korea too

CALL it the reverse wave.

Last year saw big Korean names like Jang Dong Gun and Kim Hee Seon venturing into the Chinese film industry.

It looks like the opposite is happening this year.

Taiwanese stars are breaking into the Korean market instead.

The Korean Wave not only sent its homegrown celebrities' popularity soaring outside the country, it also unlocked doors for foreign pop acts.

Stars from Shu Qi to Vivian Hsu, Cyndi Wang and even Vanness Wu are eyeing the hot kimchi pie.

And they are all prepared to learn the language.

Shu Qi, for one, will be starring in the second sequel to the box-office hit, My Wife Is A Gangster.

Cyndi is slated to act opposite K-popster Se7en in a new romantic drama, while Vivian posed in the arms of Korean heart-throb Kim Jae Won in the latest Hang Ten fashion advertisements.

Finally, Vanness has just released a Korean-Mandarin-English album in Korea with H.O.T member Kangta.

It is still early to predict if these Taiwanese stars will reap as much success as the Korean stars, but industry pundits here agreed that the reverse wave is a natural progression.

Said Mr Low Yuen Ping of local movie distributor Festive Films: 'The whole East Asian movie industry has become more integrated.

'When Korean stars work in Chinese films, the vice versa is only to be expected.

'It's all about economics. If Korean movies and stars pop into other parts of Asia and open up a market, there will be opportunites for co-investments and a need for talent representation from the other countries too.'

Added Mr James Kang of Warner Music Singapore, which distributes albums for Vivian and Cyndi: 'Everything Korean reeks of high ratings and popularity in Taiwan, so it is only natural that Taiwanese acts would want to associate themselves with the Korean wave.

'Since the Korean market has opened up and is more receptive to foreign culture, why not go to Korea?'

Arguably, the first Taiwanese star to blaze the trail is Vivian, 31.

HOGGED HEADLINES

Arriving in Seoul in January to shoot a skincare commercial, the singer-actress hogged headlines by charming photographers with her ample cleavage and low-cut dress.

She also revealed that she is interested in acting in a Korean drama - ideally with her favourite actor, Kwon Sang Woo.

But so far, she has filmed only a series of advertisements with Korean actor Jae Won.

Curiously, the other stars venturing into Korea are all linked to Vivian in some way.

Shu Qi, for instance, is known to be a good friend of Vivian's.

Both left their hometown in Taichung to venture into the Hong Kong film industry, and both shot to fame by stripping - Shu Qi in Category III movies and Vivian in a nude pictorial book.

It is not known who influenced whom, but Shu Qi apparently had her sights set on Korea since visiting Seoul to promote So Close in 2002.

The 30-year-old Golden Horse Best Actress winner had said then that Korean movies appealed to her and that she hoped to act in one.

Now, she is scheduled to fly to Seoul late this month and film My Wife Is A Gangster III over two months.

In the action-comedy, she plays the daughter of a Hong Kong triad boss who flees to Korea and falls for a righteous hooligan (Lee Beom Soo).

The easy-going actress has already won praise from the film's producers, as she made no special requests other than a hostel equipped with a kitchen where she can cook, reported Sports Chosun.

The movie is planned for release in Korea in July.

Mr Low of Festive Films believes having Shu Qi's name in the credits lends novelty.

'I'd be interested to see the combination of a Chinese actress with a Korean director and cast, and it's a good marketing angle,' he said.

Also ready to start filming in Korea next month is Cyndi who, like Vivian, records albums under Avex Trax in Taiwan.

The 24-year-old is slated to romance K-popster Se7en in a new Korean drama to be shot in both their hometowns.

NERVOUS SPEAKING KOREAN

Cyndi told China Times that she was nervous about speaking Korean and joked that she would rather play a mute character.

Later she relented: 'I must face up to reality and brush up my Korean so that I can bring glory to Taiwan.

'It'd be so embarrassing if I can't speak Korean when I'm doing a Korean drama.'

Meanwhile, Vanness, 28, seems to have mastered the art of singing in Korean, thanks to his new partner, Kangta, 27.

Calling themselves Kangta & Vanness, the duo, who first met at Taiwan's Golden Melody Awards in 2004, released their first album, Scandal, in Korea yesterday.

They also announced plans to co-star in dramas and movies at a media gathering-cum-showcase in Seoul last week.

As for Vanness' Vivian link?

Well, he dated Vivian for two years before breaking up last August.

So, did he ask her for any tips?

Vanness laughed and said he has been too busy to contact her, reported United Daily News.

Going the K-route is a no surprise for him, as he has been a K-pop fan since high school.

He even got his Korean friends to teach him their mother tongue.

He once had a Korean girlfriend and also co-starred with actress Kim Hyun Joo in the Hong Kong movie, Star Runner.

According to Kangta's management agency, SM Entertainment, the Kangta-Vanness alliance represents a 'new formula' of collaboration and cultural exchange.

Mr Kang of Warner Music, which distributes Kangta's solo albums, added: 'It's a win-win situation because Vanness can lead Kangta into China and Kangta can show him the ropes in Korea.'

CROSS-NATIONAL DUO ROCKS ASIA

K-pop superstar Kangta and Taiwanese pop music sensation Vanness Wu got onstage as a duo for the first time in Korea this week, sending more than a thousand girl fans wild.

It is only early May, but the weather was already hot on Wednesday. The Centennial Memorial Hall in Yonsei University, western Seoul, where the new duo, Kangta & Vanness were making their debut, was sweltering. The 1,000-seat venue (which is not air-conditioned) was packed with excited fans of the two superstars.

"We are just gonna rock Asia," said Wu, member of the Taiwanese boy band legend F4, during the performance. "We have a different fan base, but they have all come together to support us tonight, which is amazing and beautiful."

The one hour-long performance began with "127 days," a song with an R&B feel from their upcoming debut album. The song is about an unexpected, awkward reunion with an ex-girlfriend. Cheering turned to shrill screaming when the two stars finally showed up on stage, and it got even higher-pitched when Kangta's beautiful and appealing voice harmonized with the whispering English rap of Wu. Soon the venue became a sea of blue and white glow sticks (representing the fans of Wu and Kangta, respectively), waved frantically by the fans who were virtually all teenage girls. SM Entertainment, host of the event, invited e-mail applications for seats from the fans, a plan which got totally out of hand with more than 7,000 mails in three hours.

"I feel a responsibility. I think there should be more cross-national duos and bands created to enhance musical exchanges among Asian countries," said Kangta, former member of the now-disbanded boy band HOT. "Why not 'Vanness and Kangta? Well, alphabetic order maybe? Oh, I'm kidding. It will be named in that way in Taiwan and China."

During the performance hosted by popular female comedian Park Kyung-rim, Wu proved that he is ready to fit himself into Korean culture, showing off not only his singing, dancing and rapping talents, but also rather fluent Korean and deep understanding of the country's pop culture.

"I have been familiar with Korean culture and language from when I was very young, so I didn't have many problems recording songs in Korean," said Wu who claims to be a close friend of such renowned K-pop stars as Shin Hye-sung, Kim Jo-han (former singer of R&B trio Solid) and Lee Ji-hoon.

The first encounter of the two superstars dates back to 2004, when they were invited to the annual Golden Melody Awards of Taiwan. Since then, the management companies of the two have prepared for the birth of the super duo.

"Kangta was a superstar when I went to high school. He is good-looking and his vocals are amazing," said Wu, who purchased Kangta's HOT album at that time. Kangta responded by saying, "I guess many of you remember Wu as a long-haired pretty boy from 'Meteor Garden,' but onstage, he is a powerful and charismatic rapper."

Following "127 days," the new duo presented two more songs: "Wild Flower," a remake of a hit from Italian pop band Skylark, and "Scandal," a so called "Crunk & B" (a newly evolving genre of music originated by Usher, which combines energetic cRunk tracks with R&B elements) type of dynamic song featuring Wu's rap.

The album is scheduled to be released next week, while the duo will appear on television for the first time on Sunday, through "SBS Ingigayo."

"Maybe we will have concerts in Hong Kong, China, Korea and Taiwan later, but for now our concern is working really hard to show everybody what's up and having really good shows," Wu said with a smile.

The album is scheduled to be released in China, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines and other parts of Asia. Kangta's management company revealed that the album will be released on 19th in Korea & 16 June in China, Thailand, Indo and other 8 countries. For Japan, it will be in end of June.

The album consists of 6 new songs. "Scandal", a sentimental song "127 days", Funky "One day", R&B style "Good Vibration",
a cover song, and english version of "Scandal".

For the version tat will be released in China etc, chinese version of "Scandal", One Day, Good Vibration and 127 days will be included.

F4 embarks on music activity. Before, F4 of taiwan visited Japan performed also and Woo
to be coming back to Japan for a solo concert.
it is his first time to hold a solo concert without the 3. Wu visited japan and held a press conference announcing his solo concert in the near future. He talked about his appreciation of the japanese fans regarding his concert and the group (F4) visit to japan before and also talked about the recent group exposure concert in HK coliseum. The concert was done in March of this year.

In his first encounter with the japanese fans during F4 at TOkyo, he was once applauded when he spoke in Japanese.

Now, he is trying to talk in Japanese and study japanese because of the following concert (laughing).. In order for him to announce properly the concert he must be perseverance to practice. However, with the 2nd album it seems that producing burns desire and he also has the intention of pouring passion in the concert.

His message to the fans :

Thank you guys again, I can't silly thank you enough. For me of be here today, it's amazing.
Thank you again for the warmer reception that I'm receiving. The most interesting thing was, even there was no Da Zai Lian, she wasn't interested in Zaizai. Firstly, she didn't like Jie Di Lian, second, Zaizai revealed, "I did ask her at first who did she like in F4. She said Vanness cause he has muscles and single eyelid." Popular Korean star Kangta and Taiwan F4's Vanness Wu has started their promotions and has captured many's attention. To commemorate the album release on the 19th, they have produced a 'SM Entertainment TODAY' pamphlet/newspaper. At first I was doubtful with Vann's collab with Kang Ta. Para kasi sa akin ang gulo ng perf nila sa MTV ASIA Awards 2006. I think it's more of the cameraman's fault di maganda ang kuha nila ng perf o kaya hindi ako nagandahan kasi masayadong maingay at magulo ang perf nila. But this Video changed my mind. Ang galing nilang dalawa. Pero sa totoo lang, mas magaling sumayaw si VANN sumayaw. Ang sexy ng boses niya sa narration at in fairness, nag-blend ang boses nila. At ang ganda ng step nila!!!

Grabe!!! Nararamdaman ko na naman ang agos ng Vann Blood sa mga ugat ko!!!

Nag-post na ako sa KAngTAVanness fanboard. I didn't forget to thank KANG TA for bringing Vanness in Korea. I was first afraid for Vanness nung nalaman kong magpo-promote siya dun with KANG TA. Sabi ko, baka puro si Kang Ta lang ang i-cheer nila. But now I know that VANNESS can surely won the Koreans' heart. Sa galing ba naman ni VANNESS!!

F4 may be the first Mandarin pop band that all of Asia can love. And they`re helping to make Chinese culture cool

Sept. 22 issue ¡X Many southeast Asians are full of worries about China, ranging from the effects of the region`s new trade pact to how to compete with Beijing for foreign investment. But for tens of millions of young Asians, there is a far more burning question at hand: who is the cutest member of F4¡XJerry, Vic, Ken or Vanness?

THE BOY-BAND pop singers may be Taiwanese, but they sing in Mandarin and have Southeast Asia deep in the throes of a love affair with all things Chinese. Says Indonesian entertainment executive Daniel Tumiwa: ¡§Mainland Chinese, Taiwanese, Hong Kongers. For ordinary people here, it doesn`t matter; it`s just Chinese to them. It makes no difference. F4 is huge, huge, huge.¡¨

Not to mention hot, hot, hot. F4 is the first Mandarin pop band to win a devoted¡Xsome would say fanatic¡Xpan-Asian audience. In many places, they are even bigger than the local acts¡Xhighly unusual in Asia`s widely segmented music market. Pop tastes in east Asia have traditionally been split, with the north looking to Japan and Hong Kong, and the south to their home markets. F4 has radically altered the equation. They¡¦ve sold 3.5 million albums¡Xan astonishing number on a continent where pirated CDs are the norm. In Manila last week, ¡Xfans paid up to $200¡Xthe equivalent of several months` salary¡Xto see F4 members sing and dance live. Their faces loom large on billboards advertising Pepsi along Bangkok¡¦s expressways. On streets throughout the region, children can be heard belting F4 lyrics in passable Mandarin. ¡§This is the first time I¡¦ve ever seen a group actually conquering all markets here,¡¨ says Mishal Varma, Singapore-based vice president for talent relations at MTV Asia. ¡§No one else has crossed over the way they have.¡¨

Their staggering appeal is not easy to explain¡Xeven among music experts. A la ¡¥N Sync, they don¡¦t play any instruments and they are not great singers. Few people even know what they¡¦re singing about. But the four twentysomething band members¡XJerry Yan, Vic Zhou, Ken Zhu and Vanness Wu¡Xbelt out frothy tunes with a bubble-gum beat, and possess clean-cut good looks that have landed them on magazine covers, posters, key chains, T shirts and the bedroom walls of countless teenage girls. Indeed, their most committed fans know not just their birth dates but their blood types as well. They seem to possess that elusive blend of charisma and good timing that strikes only rarely among musicians. ¡§In life, there comes only one Elvis Presley, one Ricky Martin, one F4,¡¨ says Varma.

Their wholesome image is a big selling point. In person, the bandmates tend to be exceptionally polite. During an interview, Wu, the only F4 member who speaks fluent English, tosses off lines like, ¡§The Vanness dream is to take care of my family one day so they don¡¦t have to work so hard.¡¨ Such emphasis on family values plays well with young Asians. ¡§F4 represents something they can aspire to within reach,¡¨ says Ian Stewart, CEO of The Filter Group, an Asian trend consultancy. ¡§Compared with Robbie Williams, Asians can connect more with F4.¡¨

The band¡¦s rise began with ¡§Meteor Garden,¡¨ a slick television drama launched in Taiwan two years ago. Based on a Japanese comic book, the series revolves around a group of Taiwanese students nicknamed F4¡X¡¨Flower Four¡¨¡Xbecause they are so pretty. The show, massively popular in Taiwan, also turned into a runaway hit on Southeast Asian TV when dubbed or subtitled in local languages.

The program ran for two seasons. Like many Asian actors, the four boys also sang and danced. They quickly released two albums under Sony Music, and began playing to sellout crowds from Hong Kong to Manila. Today, in addition to touring, making TV appearances and hanging out together, the members are also busy working on solo careers. ¡§We want to grow,¡¨ says Wu, who just finished shooting his first film, a Hong Kong martial arts movie.

Wu laughs when asked if he feels famous. Three years ago, he was living in his native Los Angeles (he is named after the famous street in L.A. and San Francisco) and working as a customer-service rep for a phone company. Then he decided to indulge his passion and pursue a show-business career in Taiwan, where his parents were born. For the first year, he slept on friends¡¦ couches in Taipei. Now, though he¡¦s glad to have his own place, he says the band is still adjusting to its stardom. ¡§We had ¡Xnever met until ¡¥Meteor Garden¡¦,¡¨ he says. ¡§Our personalities are so different, which is probably why our fans like us.¡¨ Indeed, there seems to be something for everyone. Wu says he thinks he¡¦s seen as the extrovert, Jerry Yan is the funny but mercurial one, Vic Zhou is quiet but ¡§off the wall¡¨ and Ken Zhu is ¡§cool and collected¡Xbut a deep thinker.¡¨

The members have turned into unwitting ambassadors for greater China. Thanks largely to F4, Thais, Filipinos and Indonesians¡Xnot generally known for their interest in contemporary Chinese culture¡Xare embracing it with a vengeance. In Jakarta, ¡§There is growing acceptance that Chinese boys are good looking,¡¨ says Tumiwa. ¡§It¡¦s quite a shift here.¡¨ Indonesia has had a checkered history with its Chinese population, highlighted by anti-Chinese riots and targeted violence. Now, the only mobs are those lining up to see F4 perform in concert. Young people are adopting F4¡¦s style of dress, which tends to be casual with a flair, such as tight jeans and fitted white shirts. Fans have also copied their trademark long hairstyles. Says Bangkok hotel clerk Praphaphorn Sithuha, an admitted F4 fanatic: ¡§F4 has good style, they sing well and are very funny.¡¨

The band members have also sparked an unlikely interest in the Mandarin language. ¡§Now my workers are listening to Chinese songs all day long,¡¨ says Charlie Clement, a flower-farm owner in the central Philippines. ¡§They sing along but don¡¦t understand.¡¨ At least one is going even further; Thai fan Praphaphorn has a friend who was so inspired by the group that she enrolled in Chinese language lessons.

Not surprisingly, everyone is trying to discover the next F4. TV executives in Manila, for example, have been snapping up other Taiwanese soaps, like ¡§Lavender¡¨ and ¡§MVP Valentine.¡¨ In Jakarta, the Taiwan all-male hip-hop group Energy, which also sings only in Mandarin, has been performing to packed crowds. ¡§They have good music,¡¨ says Harry Hui, Asia president for Universal Music. ¡¨[But] teenagers in Southeast Asia don¡¦t yet think of China as a source of cool.¡¨ Just give them time.

Have been busy recently, so I had mostly used the What’s New section to update the latest schedule instead of leaving a message to everybody here.

"City of the Sky" will soon start to be broadcasted in Japan, and will be arranged to launch in one after another in other Asian countries. Plus the examination and approval work of "the Tokyo Trials" will come to an end shortly, I believe the public releasing date can be announced to the public soon. "Ken’s Delicious Relations" will release the simplified Chinese edition, whether he will go to mainland for promotion depends on publisher’s decision and arrangement.

On June 8, Ken will perform as honored guest in Sun (http://www.tsinoy.com/forum/newreply.php?do=newreply&noquote=1&p=428425#) Yanzi’s Chongqing concert, please go the scene and support him if you can. After that Ken will devote his time to song selection and production of his new album.

VanNess has got a super busy schedule these months. Apart from 23rd and 27th of this month attending Korea and Macau’s concerts respectively, he will also go to Shenyang for another show, and put his whole heart in July Japan concert preparation in between. In order to present the best performance to his long supporting fans, VanNess believe his hardwork worths. Looking forward to seeing you cheering for VanNess in the upcoming activities.

After finishing the series of promotion for "Affectionate Password", Vic will concentrate at the filming of "Delicious Relations", and also go for early stage preparation of new project.

Vanness Wu and korean singer Kangta gathered together for "Kangta & Vanness" scandal on the 19th to promote the newest special edition in South Korea "SCANDAL" . SM Management company spent about 5 Han (if you convert into dollar it is approximately 168,000 Yuan)
