BANGKOK/SINGAPORE/HONG KONG - MTV Asia Pacific today announced that Kelly Rowland, the soul of ex-Destiny's Child, is set to host with Wang Leehom at the 5th annual MTV Asia Awards.

American rock band Hoobastank, Philippines' No. 1 alternative rock band Rivermaya and Japan's hip-hop super group Teriyaki Boyz will perform at this year's MTV Asia Awards, joining the lineup of previous announced performers including KoЯn, Lee Ryan and Simon Webbe. F4 goes Separate Ways, Hard to Unite again ?

F4's HK concert was really the last unite of them ? Vanness Wu would be holding his solo concert in Japan on the 8th and 9th of July. Subsequently, Ken and Zaizai would be flying there to promote their dramas. Dreams of F4 being together has vanished.

Vanness would be singing at the Tokyo's Hui Yi Zhong Xin on the 8th and 9th of July. Each concert would allow 5000 people and tickets are prices at 8400 Yen. Japan side actually hope that F4 could sing together but Zaizai needed to film, Jerry has gone solo and Ken has a new show coming up. They could only grab Vanness to arrange a solo concert. He would be holding a press conference during the start of May.

While Vanness is going to perform, the other 3 cannot attend because they have work onhand, it is even harder to be the guest.

As to whether they would invite Vivian Hsu , who was once with Vanness to attend. The in-charge expressed, they can only make decisions after seeing what the performance are. F4's manager, Zhi Xiang Li revealed, Vanness is very creative with his upcoming concert. Not only he is discussing with the dance teacher, he is composing new songs as well. There would be lots and lots of wonderful performances.

Last night, the moment news of Vanness's solo concert was announced in the Japan's website, it started discussion between fans. According to what is known, he would be performing the most wanted hip hop tunes in the concert and would be having his own band to play rock, very different from the F4 who would go the smooth and sentimental way. Vanness, who loves hip-hop, even designed his own hip hop necklace with diamonds as the concert merchandise.

Vic Zhou, which Japanese fans wants to see most, having been having training sessions with Patty Hou because of his drama that would start filming the day after. However, he still uses his precious time to date Da S. After they met up for afternoon tea, they were once again filmed going to the movies together in the afternoon to watch Kong Bu Lu She.

Brokeback Mountain fever continues to rage. In the aftermath of the gay romance flick, not only has a new slang term "dun bui," or "brokeback," come into common parlance in Hong Kong to describe homo-sexual relationships, but "dun bui" tycoons in Hong Kong now feel less restrained in expressing their desire for showbiz heartthrobs.

According to Hong Kong media, a pimp offering services to high-society types revealed that in the eyes of wealthy gay entrepreneurs, Jerry Yan of F4 is the top choice to have a fling with. Bids for a one-night-stand with the star recently reached NT$20 million. The reason for Yan's popularity is that he has a body of a stud and a refined face like an angle.

Two other members of F4, Tsai Tsai and Wu Jian-hao also appear on the wish list of male stars to have sex with. Seems like the Taiwan four-piece boy band has hit the soft spots of Hong Kong's wealthy and powerful.

Gay TV host Kevin Tsai is also on the rise to fame and fortune. According to a local online poll, the intellectual-turned-entertainer beat off strong competition from Wang Lee-hom and Takeshi Kaneshiro to become college students' favorite male star.

"Oh, it's such a beautiful surprise," Tsai told the press as he gracefully accepted his title.

In May, Kangta and Vanness Wu will begin working together for their album. SM Entertainment said, "In the end of April and beginning of May, we will start planning after a few conferences." It is known that because of H.O.T, Kangta's popularity has been great everywhere. Vanness, from F4 has also been popular ever since the tv drama Meteor Garden.

The two of them have not decided on the group name yet. Regarding this, SM said, "Right now we have several kinds of names to choose from. The possibility is using a not that long English name." The 'star-meeting-star' Kangta-Vanness group has already been talked about in the beginning of the year. Now Asia will wonder what kind of dance stage they will bring us.

Dear All,

Hadn’t leave a message since last time as I have been extremely busy recently. Thank you for all your regards and blessings to us, we will work hard.

Many fans concern about Ken, whether he is going to join “Delicious Relations” as a guest. After the company's careful consideration, we finally decided to arrange Ken for other job. We will have detail announcement as soon as possible once the jobs are confirmed.


VanNess is recording his new album and has MV shooting, apart from April 30 attending Shanghai’s F1 car race to cheer for S&K team, VaNess is going to hold his individual mini-concerts in Tokyo, Japan on July 8 and 9, for those who like VanNess, please come and support him.


Vic has already started his new task in the “Delicious Relations” team, hope everything will be happy and smooth.

Rivermaya And Teriyaki Boyz To Perform

April 14, 2006

BANGKOK/SINGAPORE/HONG KONG - MTV Asia Pacific today announced that
Kelly Rowland, the soul of ex-Destiny's Child, is set to host with
Wang Leehom at the 5th annual MTV Asia Awards.

American rock band Hoobastank, Philippines' No. 1 alternative rock
band Rivermaya and Japan's hip-hop super group Teriyaki Boyz will
perform at this year's MTV Asia Awards, joining the lineup of
previous announced performers including Koßn, Lee Ryan and Simon
Webbe. Another top draw will be the presence of pop giants such as
Kangta of Korea, Tata Young and Thaitanium of Thailand,Vanness Wu of
Taiwan and Vicky Zhao of mainland China.

It was also announced that Same Same, Skye Sweetnam and winner of
Spankin' New Aussie Artist at the 2006 MTV Australia Video Music
Awards -- The Veronicas will be attending this year's awards
ceremony. The MTV Asia Awards 2006 will take place at Siam Paragon
in Bangkok on May 6.

As one of the founding members of Destiny's Child, Kelly Rowland
rose to fame with the group in 1998 and became one of the most
successful R&B acts of all time. In 2003, Kelly released her first
solo album, Simply Deep, with smash hit "Dilemma" featuring Nelly,
which won Kelly her first Grammy Award for Best Rap/ Sung
Collaboration the same year. Kelly has also extended her career with
acting, and is giving her fair share back to the world by actively
involving in diverse charity organisations. She is currently in the
studio working on her self-titled solo album which is due for
release in July and her hosting talent will undoubtedly be welcomed
with much admiration by her Asian fans at the event come May.

Hoobastank, featuring lead vocal Doug Robb, guitarist Dan Estrin and
drummer Chris Hesse, is returning to Bangkok after their spectacular
performance at the MTV Asia Aid in 2005. Praised by their fans as an
ear candy of post grunge rock, their first album went platinum with
hit singles "Crawling In The Dark" and "Running Away." Their second
album with the title hit, "The Reason," came out in 2003, the album
has sold five millions copies worldwide, and "The Reason" is the
second most legally downloaded track of all time, winning the band
numerous of industry accolades. The trio's latest single "If I Were
You..." of their long-awaited new album, Every Man For Himself to be
released in May, has already hit various radio charts. The

F4 members of Vanness has formed a collaboration with Kangta, a multidimensional approach. The album is expected to be released in May throughout Asia and it's expected to spark alot of enthusiasms.

Both Vanness and Kangta first met each other during 2004 Golden Melody Awards. They have formed mutual appreciations of each other's talents. But due to their busy schedules, they only managed to finalize their cooperation this year. Vanness has been following Korea pop music and entertainment markets, and Kangta saw Vanness in the television drama "Meteor" and impressed by his performance there.

Currently Vanness and Anqixuan are busy doing the final preparations for this cooperation, including dance, language, singing, performing, etc. training program, the daily curriculum from the early booked through night, It's been a tough road, but the two companies demonstrated that the two sides are very satisfied.

Taiwanese boy band F4 will appear in CNN's international news network "Talk Asia" with host Lorraine Hahn interviewing. In this half-hour interview, Jerry Yan, Vic Zhou, Ken Zhu and Vanness Wu will tell the viewers their walk to fame and later their road to individual career development . Their group shared from their dream of entering the American market to their interests in preparing for their new album. Asked if they still looked at each other as brothers, Vanness made an interesting remark," We look quite like buddies!" Jerry then complimented and said that F4 is inseparably close, similar to a small family. He said, "Ken is like the mother, and Zaizai then appear interesting as the cute younger brother. As for Vanness, he has the solemnity and dignity of a father" F4 is famous everywhere in Asia. Vanness cited "Here, artists want clean image. But we are just average. We can only strive to do as much to give our best and look for which road we could belong."

After F4 already became a household name, they had no private secret lives. They even said that fans support is the source of their continuous strength to strive harder. Regarding their future plans, Ken thought if they are no longer F4, how would they look. Vanness added," My dream, I really wish I could enter the American market, but this is very difficult, because Asian men roles are generally fixed. In addition, thousand of articles are the same, especially in the US. After F4 Hong Kong concert, Vanness went to Korea for preparations for this album with Kangta. They spent at least 4 hours together everyday discussing songs, recording and dance practice. There will be Chinese, English & Korean songs in the album.

SonyBMG plans to release this collaboration album end May, early June.

Kang Ta Forms Group with Taiwanese Singer Vanness Wu
[KBS GLOBAL]

Singer Kang Ta has formed a group with singer Vanness Wu (Wu Jianhao in Chinese), a member of the Taiwanese group "F4," with the purpose of sweeping the Asian music market together.

The new group "KANGTA & VANNESS" will release its first album, which was produced by South Korean producers, across Asia in mid-May.

Music fans are excited at the fact that two top stars in Asia have joined efforts. The collaboration between Kang and Wu was anticipated when the "Golden Melody Awards" ceremony, the largest music awards ceremony in Taiwan, was held on May 8, 2004.

With the awards ceremony giving momentum, they became friends and promised to "engage in new kinds of activities to surprise all of Asia together." Since last year, they began systematic preparations for their joint activities.

An official from SM Entertainment attached importance to the collaboration between these two Asian stars, saying, "Their formation of a group is not a mere outcome of cooperation between two big stars in Asia, but has presented a new formula for activities through cooperation between a hallyu star and a star from the Chinese-speaking region. Hot all over Asia Taiwan’s idol group F4, a few days ago accepted an interview with American Cable Television News CNN English special report (interview was broadcasted 29 April), during the process of the interview American bred VanNess Wu and Singaporean educated Ken Chu used English to reply, as for Jerry Yan and Vic Chou they used an interpreter replied in Chinese.

Hot all over Asia Taiwan Idol Group F4, a few days ago were in Hong Kong to hold a concert also took the chance to accept an interview from “Talk Asia” the four of them developed a very good understanding of each other breaking the rumor that each had their own solo flight.

Since VanNess Wu grew up in the States and his English is fluent, during the course of the interview acted as the spokesperson of the entire group, and sometimes acted as the translator for Jerry Yan. VanNess with confidence talked about some past events: “Our first meet and greet with the fans was cancelled, Bao Long do you remember?” Bao Long: “Our first meet and greet with fans just started and I wasn’t familiar with it yet.”

And Ken Chu followed with a similar revelation that ZaiZai once experienced some heartbreak, the host asked: “You also help others cook food?” Ken: “I normally cook for myself, but when someone is broken hearted, I can go to the kitchen for him.”

When the four of them became popular they experienced many changes, for example how do they manage to avoid the paparazzi, Jerry Yan revealed that he watches DVD at home and has watched so many movies, then Ken Chu followed with a joke saying: “This is why I started learning how to cook and raise pets. I have three cats! VanNess agreed and said: “This is why I do sports.” I think I am the only one who hasn’t been affected by the paparazzi, anyway I like a peaceful place to wait for my family.

At present all of them are busy but are about to release a new drama an album and the four of them will release an album at the end of this year and they will be able to promote it together, obviously they haven’t disbanded and there is no sign of them doing so.

Vanness who grew up in L.A. not only understand the route in L.A. He also understand the american concepts on the road, and since he grew up watching disney movies. He is delighted to be dubbing for THE RED CAR. No matter how busy is his schedule. He will be going to Taiwan on April to dub for RED CAR. His dedicated attitute towards his words has earned the high rating from the recording director Wang Ing Ping

Vanness practises drifting in Shanghai

F4 member Vanness Wu arrived in Shanghai yesterday and will perform at a F1 racing event this afternoon.

Yesterday at around 5pm, Vanness and another 20 members from Hong Kong car racing club were spotted practising drifting near at F1 race track. Vanness's instructor is Hong Kong actor Qian Jia Le. During Vann's 1/2 hr practice, Qian Jia Le explained to him things that need attention to. Looking at Vann's performance, his drifting skills are not bad.

Disneys' animated Cars English version has plenty of young star as endorsser. On the Chinese Version. Vanness Wu and (another star from mainland china ) will be the animated sound in chinese version.

In order to make the chinese version distinctively good, The cinema company has finally decided on getting Vanness Wu to dub for The Car

Vanness who grew up in L.A. not only understand the route in L.A. He also understand the american concepts on the road, and since he grew up watching disney movies. He is delighted to be dubbing for THE RED CAR. No matter how busy is his schedule. He will be going to Taiwan on April to dub for RED CAR. His dedicated attitute towards his words has earned the high rating from the recording director Wang Ing Ping

LH: Welcome back to Talk Asia. I'm sitting with Taiwanese Pop Idol group F4. Gentlemen, I heard that you all have very different personalities. Is that very difficult for you when you work as a group?

Van: Not really. I don't think so. I mean, cause, uh, when we work together, we work as a team. And we're pretty good as a team. Uh, I think that's one of the things that is, that stands out about us, is because our personalities is, is so different in a group. You know most… When you do see a group, a lot of personalities, they're, kinda like, like in unison. But then, for some reason, our individuality makes us that unison.

LH: Interesting. And you see each other, Jerry, for example, as colleagues? Brothers?

J: You mean the other 3 members of the group?

Van: (Pretends to cough) Ahem, ahem. Be careful. Ahem.

F4: (laughs)

LH: Wait 'til you hear the next question (laughs).

Ken: (a little inaudible) We are kinda more like partners actually...

J: Actually, you could say that the four of us are like a unit. A small family. Vanness is like a...

Vic: (own voice, not translated) Mama.

Everyone: (laughs)

J: No actually. Ken is more like the mother. Vic is like the cute, lovable, little brother. And Vanness? He's a serious and hard-working father.

Everyone: (laughs)

Van: Just call me daddy.

LH: Yeah, exactly.

Is there a leader?

J: No, not really. There isn't one person who'd always takes the lead or he must make all the decisions, if that's what you mean. Everyone shares their opinions freely. Everyone helps to make the decisions.

LH: Now all of you has, sort of, gone off, as you mentioned to me earlier, gone off and done your own, your own work, right? You come together for F4 and then you go off to do your own work. Why do you do this? Why don't you just stay as F4?

Vic: We don't really split up. After Meteor Garden, the 4 of us we're offered a lot of other projects. And not all the projects were appropriate for the 4 of us. So we had to be selective. Like when I go to do a drama, maybe Ken would make an album instead. Or maybe someone else would go to make a movie. We each have our own interest, our own strengths. I guess we all just got busy. But we always make time for F4. Like for this concert tour, we made an effort to clear our schedules so that we can do this together.

Van: Yeah.

J: Actually, what happens is that Vic is always going off to make movies. And the three of us will be left here with nothing to do (laughs). So we have to find our own projects just to keep busy.

F4: (laughs)

Vic: (says something in Mandarin)

Van: I think in the long run, it reverts back to our personalities as well. It's because our personality is so different. We have so many, uh, different, uh, interests as well, you know. So we, of course, as a human being would wanna pursue our own interests to, uh, to do other things that we're, we have more passion for. But then yet when the timing calls for us to come back again, we will always be here.

LH: Um, Jerry, let me just continue with you, a little bit on the personal note for each of you individually, since you're such individuals. You started as a model. Um, was show business, entertainment, movies, TV, an ambition of yours?

J: Uh... Yes, I think so. When I was a model, it was natural to think about going into entertainment. That's why I was happy for the opportunity to act in a drama. Then, after I have had a chance to try acting, singing and dancing, I realized that I really enjoyed it and that performing was something I wanted to do more of.

Lorraine Hahn (voice-over): They are known collectively as F4. Pop idols who've been inspiring fan frenzy all through Asia since coming onto the scene in their native Taiwan in 2001. Jerry Yan, Vic Chou, Ken Chu and Vanness Wu beat hundreds of other candidates in the casting call for the drama series "Meteor Garden" based on the widely popular Japanese comic "Hana Yori Dango". The TV series and its sequel became such hits that it made superstars of the group overnight, leading to more drama roles, product endorsements, and a string of successful albums and concert tours.

*"Can't Lose You" plays*

Lorraine Hahn: Gentlemen, welcome to Talk Asia. Thank you very much for being here with us. It's good to see you all.

The... series, Meteor Garden, that made you virtually, instantaneously famous, did that come as a surprise to you?

Vanness: Bit of a shock. Yeah.

Ken: Yeah...

Van: We didn't expect it. I remember me and Jerry, uh, we were supposed to have a, uh, a fan meeting, uh, but then...

K: Yeah, the very first one we went to...

Van: And then... but then there was complete, ch, chaos where it was packed; and then the, like the fire department said, you know, we can't show up otherwise it'll get too crazy. So the first ever fan meeting was cancelled (explains this part to Jerry in Mandarin). So that's when we realized, wow, this is, this is bigger than we ever expected; and blown away by it.

LH: Was that hard to deal with?

Jerry (through translator): Yes, it was really difficult at the beginning, when I wasn't used to it. But later, it got better when we learned to accept it. And as more and more people started paying attention to us, we found that the attention made us want to work harder and do better for our audience.

LH: I mean, you didn't have much, and forgive me if I'm... wrong, but you didn't have very much acting training right? Before Meteor Garden.

J: You're right. We never had any training. We, just, went along with the flow.

Van: We learned... It was like a learning progress. Learning and progress.

K: We had a very good director at that time.

Each member of F4: Yeah.

Van: The director was really good. Helped us a lot with everything. He, he really built the backbone of each character as well. I mean, he would give us certain, uh, parts and... just really go with it, you know. And then, he really helped us.

LH: Right. And Vic, how close is... your character, for example, to your true self?

Vic (through translator): Uh, I actually feel like the 4 characters in Meteor Garden are quite like our personalities in real life. And that's the reason we were chosen.

I had accompanied a friend to the audition and was waiting for him in the corridor at the office. The light was very dim and I hid in the corner against the wall. And when the director was going into his office, he saw me sitting there and thought (laughs) "why is this person here?" And then he looked again and said "this person's manner [?are really seem like?] the character of Hua Ze Lei". So he invited me to the audition.

LH: Some people said that, you know, um, the story was focused on the wrong values. You know, that it, that it set poor examples for the young people. What do you think?

Van: You know, I think a lot of times the media does blow everything out of proportion, um, just by a single sentence. You know, they can say one word and then everybody will catch off [?with the liaisons/with realizations?] "oh yeah right, yeah right." You know, "every thing is wrong. This [?might as well be gone?]". But then, if you really look at the story, uh, what is it really saying in the end, just follow your heart. You know, is it wrong to follow your heart, who can judge? You know, so...

J: Uh, oh, actually, I think that it's just a television drama. Not something that anyone should be taking too seriously. It was a bit of entertainment and escapism for some people. At best, it gave some viewers something to think about.

Vic: That's Jerry's lifestyle!

F4: (laughs)

Vic: Actually, it really is just a drama. You won't find many people in society like the ones in the show. Really, it's just entertainment. Something for viewers to enjoy (In between these statements, Ken said something to Vic which made Vic say "ha?" then went on with what he's saying)

Lorraine Hahn: Vic, you were studying Engineering? What did you wanna do? Did you really wanna be an engineer?

Vic: Actually, there's a funny story to that. At that time, the reason I chose to study Engineering was because of my older brother. I was lazy and I thought it'd just be easier to follow in his footsteps. Whatever he did, I just did the same. Whatever school he went to, I wanted to go too (laughs). Then in the 3rd year of studying Engineering, when we were about to graduate, I realized I didn't really want to be an engineer. I thought, why did I choose this course (laughs)?

F4: (laughs)

Vic: In the end, I think I was lucky that in my first job, I met these guys, the other 3 members. And I found them inspiring. All these years... I've learned so much from them.

LH: Right. Vanness, born in the United States of America. What brought you to this part of the world?

Van: Well, I was always interested in performing, um, I was into dancing when I was at a very young age so, uh, and plus a lot of my friends, um, were older than me and they were in the entertainment industry a, already. So I was pretty much surrounded by it while I was growing up. And then, uh, I was working at a dead-end job so, um...

LH: And what's that?

Van: That was, uh, customer service...

LH: (laughs)

Van: If you can believe that. And then, uh, my friend told me, you know, what you're doing in America right now. I said "nothing much." She said "well, why don't you go back to Taiwan and don't do nothing, do nothing much in Taiwan and, who knows, maybe we get famous." And, luckily enough, uh, God's bless me, so, uh, I'm here.

LH: Right. Now you've worked with people from all kinds of backgrounds.

Van: (inaudible) Right.

LH: Um, how do you feel about this sort of blending of, of different backgrounds?

Van: I love it! I love it. I think it's... a, it’s a wonderful thing and it's a great opportunity to have a mixture of so many different cultures and personalities. And it's.. just, it's... like, it's a, it's a real gift, you know. You really see the world and get to meet different people. So I'm really blessed, I think.

LH: Yeah, I can imagine.

Ken, you were born in, in Taiwan.

Ken: Yeah.

LH: But you, you lived for some time in Singapore right?

K: Yeah, um...

LH: I can't hear the Singapore accent.

K: Oh, if you want it, I can, you know. Well, you gotta give me a Singapore accent.

LH: (laughs) Okay, okay. Okay lah? No?

K: Okay lah. And stuff like... I try not to, you know, because, uh, Singapore accent is, is full of local stuff. When I go to Singapore, I do the Singapore accent.

LH: I'm fascinated about your cookbook. What's it called, "Darling, Let's Cook Together" right?

K: (laughs)

LH: And then how did that idea come about?

K: Well, actually, I, I cook, I cook for myself all the time, okay? I want...

LH: You cook for these guys too?

K: Yes, sometimes...

LH: Right...

K: Sometimes, you know, if... um, someone's heartbroken and stuff, y... (looks at Vic and both laugh).

LH: Heartbroken?

K: I'm just kidding you. I cook because I, I don't like to eat st... outside food, you know. It makes me feel sad.

LH: So is it fun, relaxing to you or just something you love to do?

K: It's just something I lov... Something keeps me sane.

LH: Uh, good. Good for you.

Um, it seems, and I mentioned this very briefly just now, that you go on tour. And then you... As F4... And then you go and do your solo work. And this sort of continues right? Will there come a time when you have to say "okay, I've got to choose between staying with F4 or doing my own solo career."?

K: I think it's up to our fans, you know.

V: Yeah, yeah.

K: Yeah…

Van: Pretty much. We're... I don't really see that anywhere in the future that...

K: Mmmhmm.

V: There will be a decision like that because, uh, this has been working so well already. We do our own thing...

K: Mmmhmm.

V: And then we come back, and then so (breathes out a laugh)...

LH: How does the solo work that you do complement the, the work that you do as F4? Or does it?

K: Uh, ah, actually, this concert we're having, we have a lot of personal stuff inside...

Van: Right.

J: (unrecognizable) Yeah.

K: You know. Each 4 of us, we have individual parts, [?enough/individual?] time for us to do different performance. And then we have to combine performance. So, I think the solo stuff does help us in, in, you know, getting more and more ready for the next challenge and stuff.

Van: Yeah. We, we grew as an individual. We grew as a group. So...

LH: Is it important to you to, to come across with a very clean image, with a very proper image, you know, an image that maybe parents would be happy with? Is, is that, is that important to you when you have so much influence with younger people?

Van: I think that's important in, um, Asia (chuckles).

K: Yeah...

Van: Yeah, A... In Asia, you really have to have a, a clean image but, um, we're only human (laughs).

K: (breathes out a laugh)

V: Uh, and we just try to do our best and try to live, you know, a proper and lr... right life that is for us. So...

LH: Does it require a lifestyle adjustment for you?

Van: Oh yeah. I mean, there are times where we wanna go out but we can't. Um, you know, uh, especially around here too, you know. The paparazzi follows us and...

LH: Yeah, just gonna say... How do you keep them away?

Van: We can't.

K: By not leaving the house (chuckles).

Van: Yeah.

J: (own voice, not translated) Uh, just DVD (chuckles).

J (through translator): DVDs keep me company. I spent a lot of my time indoors watching movies on DVD.

LH: It sounds pretty boring to me (laughs).

K: That's why I started to cooking.

F4: (laughs)

LH: Okay (laughs).

K: You think why? That's why I started cooking.

Van: That's why I exercise.

Vic: (unrecognizable) Mmm.

K: That's why I have pets (chuckles).

LH: You have pets. Wonderful...

K: I... have, I have three cat.

K: Mm?

Gentlemen, you are hot in Japan right now. I mean, is that important market for you?

Van: I think, uh, uh, every market is important to us right now.

Ken: Mmm.

Van: Um, you know, it's another chance to explore different country, get to, get to better know a different part of the world, you know.

LH: So do you feel, Jerry, for example, that there is a need to break into different markets now in order to stay ahead of, you know, so many new singers coming out these days right? I mean, they're young, they're energetic. I mean, they're so many of them. In order to stay ahead, do you feel that it's, it is important to break new ground, break into new markets?

J: How we do as a group depends on fate. I really believe that. My own personality is such that when I make a TV show or a movie, I just want to make it as good as possible and have as many people as possible watching. To me, it's not about the competition. Working hard is all about growing and improving my talent, so that I can develop as a person and entertainer.

LH: Ken?

K: I'm just trying to make a living, you know (giggles).

LH: (laughs)

Ken: It is okay for me because, umph, I'm not, uh... I love this job. I, I do love my job. But is, it is not like a career to me. I mean, I'm, I'm growing up, I'm getting older, I gotta think of something else, you know. 'Cause I don't think this is permanent, to me.

Hot all over Asia Taiwan's idol group F4, a few days ago accepted an interview with American Cable Television News CNN English special report (interview was broadcasted 29 April), during the process of the interview American bred VanNess Wu and Singaporean educated Ken Chu used English to reply, as for Jerry Yan and Vic Chou they used an interpreter replied in Chinese.

Hot all over Asia Taiwan Idol Group F4, a few days ago were in Hong Kong to hold a concert also took the chance to accept an interview from "Talk Asia" the four of them developed a very good understanding of each other breaking the rumor that each had their own solo flight.

Since VanNess Wu grew up in the States and his English is fluent, during the course of the interview acted as the spokesperson of the entire group, and sometimes acted as the translator for Jerry Yan. VanNess with confidence talked about some past events: "Our first meet and greet with the fans was cancelled, Bao Long do you remember?" Bao Long: "Our first meet and greet with fans just started and I wasn't familiar with it yet."

And Ken Chu followed with a similar revelation that ZaiZai once experienced some heartbreak, the host asked: "You also help others cook food?" Ken: "I normally cook for myself, but when someone is broken hearted, I can go to the kitchen for him."

When the four of them became popular they experienced many changes, for example how do they manage to avoid the paparazzi, Jerry Yan revealed that he watches DVD at home and has watched so many movies, then Ken Chu followed with a joke saying: "This is why I started learning how to cook and raise pets. I have three cats! VanNess agreed and said: "This is why I do sports." I think I am the only one who hasn't been affected by the paparazzi, anyway I like a peaceful place to wait for my family.

At present all of them are busy but are about to release a new drama an album and the four of them will release an album at the end of this year and they will be able to promote it together, obviously they haven't disbanded and there is no sign of them doing so.

TOKYO FANS GOES CRAZY OVER VANNESS WU

In order to prevent accidents, Vanness was forbidden to wave his hand and ask how the fans are doing. Vanness was at Tokyo on the 2nd to promote for his concert. Close to 500 fans went to see him get off the plan, causing chaos at the airport. Staff has disclosed that Jerry Yan and Ken Zhu might also become honored guests at the concert.

Vanness will have a solo concert in Japanese Tokyo international convention center on July 8 and 9. On the 2nd, once he got off the plane, he was warned by staff to: "Please don't wave your hands, and don't get too close to the fans." Nearly 500 fans squished together and screamed when they saw him - Vanness was also scared.

Vanness wil be in Japan for three days; on the 2nd, he's holding a reporter meeting, on the 3rd, he's shooting for the posters, on the 4th, he is going to fly to Thailand to prepare to do MTV Asia awards performance. He expressed that this is the first time he's doing a solo concert, so he's excited and anxious.

Vanness looks at this concert as very important - originally it was supposed to be a 2 hour performance, but it was extended to 3 hours. Besides diligently working on the content of the concert, he also invited Jerry Yan and Ken Zhu to appear.

KangTa forms a duo with F4's Vanness Wu

Korean Wave star KangTa plans to go full-force in Asia by forming a duo with Vanness Wu, a member of the popular Taiwanese group, F4, Vanness and KangTa are not only scheduled to release a regular album under the name "KANGTA & VANNESS" throughout Asia in May, but they also plan to launch into duet activities starting in Korea in mid May. Their partnership is definitely proof that the Korean Wave is swelling and playing an influential role in the Asian music industry.

Vanness Wu appeared with Kangta. Vanness expressed: "The greatest surprise this year is that i will be peforming with Kangta for the 1st time on stage. " One of them is a Taiwanese idol, the other is a Korean idol. This cross country collaboration is something new. Uncertain whether because they have spent a lot of time together, their actions and even eye expressions are similar. Vanness revealed, "Actually, we have always admired each other talents. Kangta's songs are very good, especially R&B songs." Last month, Vanness flew to Korea and recorded new songs and had dance practices with Kangta. Although his schedules are full from morning to night everyday, but we didn't feel that it was hard work. Instead, we are very happy to have this opportunity to work together." For MAA 2006, we will be performing our new song in English 7 Korean. Vanness will also show his sexy dance moves. When he said tat, the crowd immediately screamed excitedly.

MTV Asia Awards 2006 Honors The Best From West And East With Revolutionary Duets And World Debut Performances

Thailand - The Siam Paragon in Bangkok was illuminated with international and Asian stars celebrating the fifth spectacular MTV Asia Awards 2006 on Saturday May 6. Jointly hosted by multi-talented Kelly Rowland and Asian heartthrob Wang Leehom, the MTV Music Awards 2006 will air on MTV Thailand premiering at 11pm on 6 May and on MTV SAM at 12am on May 7.

Pan regional award winners included Green Day (Favourite Rock Act), Ricky Martin (Favourite Male), Kelly Clarkson (Favourite Female), The Backstreet Boys (Favourite Pop Act), Korn’s "Twisted Transistor" (Favourite Video), Simon Webbe (Favourite Breakthrough Artist), Jolin Tsai (The Style Award), Destiny’s Child (Special Achievement In Popular Music), Bird Thongchai McIntyre (Inspiration Award) and TERIYAKI BOYZ (Breakthrough Collaboration Japan). Local MTV territory Favourite Artists include Vicki Zhao (China), Twins (Hong Kong), Jal (India), Peterpan (Indonesia), Se7en (Korea), Mawi (Malaysia), Rivermaya (Philippines), Taufik Batisah (Singapore), Wang Leehom (Taiwan), Tata Young (Thailand). Winners were determined by MTV viewers throughout Asia, who voted via SMS and online.

The night started off with a blazing performance of "Twisted Transistor" by Korn, and took off from there as the 4,600 capacity-crowd were treated to a true blend of East and West throughout the night. The MTV Music Awards 2006 hosts got fans on their feet with a medley featuring Wang Leehom’s Chinese Opera-inspired "Heroes On Earth" and Kelly Rowland's world premiere live performance of her new single "Gotsta Go." The first win of the night went to Se7en, who took the stage to accept his trophy for being chosen Favourite Artist – Korea prior to his performance later in the evening.

Host city Bangkok got a special treat as Thai hip-hop group Thaitanium jammed with Simon Webbe in a rousing performance of "No Worries," and Webbe's Blue bandmate Lee Ryan partnered with Thai pop goddess Tata Young for their version of the classic ballad "Endless Love." As the night of award presentations and performances went on, the energy was palatable as Taiwanese favourite Jolin Tsai raised temperatures and eyebrows with a sexy performance of "Dancing Diva," Canadian singer-songwriter Daniel Powter got behind the piano and wowed the audience with a live version his massive hit, "Bad Day," and award-winning TERIYAKI BOYZ brought the house down with their first ever live performance outside of Japan. The night of star-studded action continued with returning favourites Hoobastank and Rivermaya taking the stage, and MTV's biggest night in Asia ended with Korea's Kangta joining forces with Taiwan's Vanness Wu for a rousing finale duet performance of "2nd Scandal."

Presenters at the event included Vicki Zhao, Maggie Q, Same Same, Taufik, Too Phat, Lukkade Metinee, Sean Roh, The Veronicas, Ahli Fiqir, Peter Corp, Marsha, Jal, and Chang Chen. The Siam Paragon and red carpet arrivals event prior to the MTV Asia Awards were flooded with music, film and television stars from around the world, all converging upon Bangkok to celebrate one of the biggest music events in Asia.

In a special presentation during the show, MTV Asia Awards host Kelly Rowland accepted the Special Achievement in Music Award on behalf of Destiny’s Child -- the multi-platinum trio consisting of Rowland, Beyonce Knowles and Michelle Williams. With more than 40 million records sold and a countless string of hits to their credit, Destiny’s Child were honoured for their contribution to the music world and their immeasurable impact on pop culture.
