This event is an spur-of-the-moment-whim because the materials are already available. When I saw the post of honeybums to have a venue to watch these vids, that was last Monday, I immediatley called zaq for the TokyoTrial and melviken for the CLX trailer and they agreed to lend me their one and only copies. So thereafter, I planned it to be this Saturday, I already reserved the venue and asked kenrose to start the pre-signing so that I could monitor the number of participants to offset just the actual expenses. As you will notice, there is not enough time to organize nor meet with a team to prepare for this activity. These are all done through text messaging and phone calls amidst my loads of works.


So this early, I thank honeybums, zaq, melviken & kenrose for all their support and i thank in advance irene12, tinich, tess, gypsyjem, claire and katz for their contributions on Saturday...(they do not know it yet)

So... gals, please bear with us as we guarantee you 100% satisfaction...

Rainie allowed us a short interview regarding her latest movie "Tattoo" with Hong Kong pop star Isabella Leung. She said that filming the movie paved way for another friendship to form, between her and Isabella. She described herself as Isabella's 'da jie', yet in terms of facial features, Isabella is more mature when in reality, Rainie is much older than her. She said with a laugh "With the many takes we had for kissing each other? How could we not be friends?"

But she also mentioned her other friends in the e-circle. "Lin Yi Chen and Hsu Wei Lun are very close to my heart, we are like sisters, and I actually imagine getting old with them! With guys, those whom I trust the most are Zheng Yuan Cheng and Chu Xiao Tian. Zheng Yuan Cheng spices up my life and he is the best listener whenever I have problems. I can call him in the middle of the night and ask him to accompany me and have coffee in the nearby 24-hour convenience store when my mood is down especially if work drains me up. Chu Xiao Tian is my adviser; he is really good with his opinions and most of his advices to me really worked. I call him my 'love teacher' since he always give opinions about the guys I am planning to date! To tell, he is very picky in selecting and agreeing with the guys I am to date, he is almost my father! He dotes on me if I give the chance to a wrong guy because he always looks for high standards. Sometimes, his choosiness leads me to think that everytime he comments that a certain guy doesn not suit me, that maybe Xiao Tian wants me to be a spinster! Sometimes it gets annoying but he always reminds me is that he is only very concerned about my welfare because he could not stand seeing me get hurt. Of course, with him being that protective, why won't I feel touched?"

Another topic which came to hand was him and Mike He being replaced when the script of the planned series Exchange Love was rewritten. "It was my choice and his when we decided not to proceed. We were starting to get stereotyped everywhere as a love tandem and people are suddenly rooting to have us become a couple in real life! He is a longtime friend of mine, but it will just be too creepy and awkward for us being together in reality to happen. Our personalities don't complement each other much and all that we would do is tease each other, share jokes and laugh endlessly. Our relationship is just as platonic with my relationship with Zheng Yuan Cheng and I don't think there is any chance we would hook up in the future. Maybe for a project, but I fully doubt we would develop romantic feelings"

With many people from the net posting their concerns on getting foreign actress, eighteen-year-old Maja Salvador to take over her role, Rainie tried to see what they were saying about it. "I was very dismayed seeing people think that she doesn't suit the role because she is Philippino and I was hurt because that comment was very racist. We viewed some of her acting stints on the net and I must say, she is even better than me. Not to mention, she is very pretty. I think it is time for the Taiwanese entertainment to broaden its horizons a little more and make room for change. Her country is the nearest country to Taiwan, so I don't see any reason on why she would not be able to pull it off because from what I have seen, the girl has pure talent. Mike even sent me an SMS that he is in favor of her as well."

Although di long ang role nya, markado naman. Sobrang na-edit ang mga eksena ni Ken. 4 hrs originally ang film that was cut down to 1 1/2 hrs. You could imagine nawala ang mga scenes ni Ken. Ang ganda ng trailer ng Clx. Its like an epic. Ken is so handsome there and i can't wait to see. Its sked to be shown May 2007... gosh ang tagal!!!

As a young person I didn’t personally experience the hardships at the time of war. My personal experience comes from the history records, this taught me the meaning of this part of history. If there weren’t any history records maybe these things wouldn’t have happened. Wherever I am today, this movie will make me ponder, it will give me something to ask myself it will lead me to think that we must hate warfare but not the person. We must pursue peace and advancement and not immerse ourselves in sorrow so that our morale will not be of grief and indignation. (kya ken is slowly but surely recognized kc may "puso" cya...d lang puro kagwapuhan)

Since it's opening last September 1, Tokyo Trial has hit a record high of RMB 10 million in the box office. One week after its release it has already topped the DVD sales for the week. The movie will be shown in Hong Kong and Korea next month. It will also be shown in the Shanghai Movie Festival in Tokyo, Japan this coming December.

The cinema ticket price will be 10 yuan (about 1.3 U.S. dollars), half its normal price, and students, servicemen, teachers, lawyers and judges will all enjoy further discounts, Yan Wei, a media liaison director of the distributor Oriental Film and Television, said on Sunday.

"Tokyo Trial", shot by Chinese director Gao Quanshu, recounts the court proceedings against 28 top Japanese war criminals at the International Military Tribunal for the Far East after the war.

Gao claims "Tokyo Trial" accurately portrays how a Chinese judge involved in the court case managed to sway the opinion of aninternational panel of 11 judges to "narrowly avert a miscarriage of justice".

Chinese judge Mei Ru'ao gave the last speech of two years of court proceedings, charging the defendants with stealing Chinese resources and crimes against humanity. He secured a majority of six for death penalties for the seven class A war criminals, including Hideki Tojo, Kenji Doihara and Koki Hirota.

"The movie evokes patriotism and a pursuit of peace, rather than stirring hatred between China and Japan, said Mao Shi'an, a movie critic in Shanghai.

The low-budget film boasts a star-studded cast. Hong Kong veteran Kenneth Tsang plays a Chinese prosecutor and Damian Lau, a judge. Taiwan starlet Kelly Lin plays a Japanese girl who falls in love with a Chinese journalist, played by Taiwan heartthrob Ken Zhu.

American and Japanese actors also have parts in the film, including Broadway actor John Henry Cox who acted as the chief prosecutor.

Yan Wei said that his company is contacting the cinema circuit in Tokyo and he believes the movie will be screened in the Japanese capital.

BEIJING, Sept. 17 (Xinhua) -- A Chinese film portraying the trial of Japanese WWII war criminals - "Tokyo Trial"- will be shown in cinemas and around 100 universities across the country on September 18 to mark the 75th anniversary of the start of Japan's armed invasion of China.

The cinema ticket price will be 10 yuan (about 1.3 U.S. dollars), half its normal price, and students, servicemen, teachers, lawyers and judges will all enjoy further discounts, Yan Wei, a media liaison director of the distributor Oriental Film and Television, said on Sunday.

"Tokyo Trial", shot by Chinese director Gao Quanshu, recounts the court proceedings against 28 top Japanese war criminals at the International Military Tribunal for the Far East after the war.

Gao claims "Tokyo Trial" accurately portrays how a Chinese judge involved in the court case managed to sway the opinion of aninternational panel of 11 judges to "narrowly avert a miscarriage of justice".

Chinese judge Mei Ru'ao gave the last speech of two years of court proceedings, charging the defendants with stealing Chinese resources and crimes against humanity. He secured a majority of six for death penalties for the seven class A war criminals, including Hideki Tojo, Kenji Doihara and Koki Hirota.

"The movie evokes patriotism and a pursuit of peace, rather than stirring hatred between China and Japan, said Mao Shi'an, a movie critic in Shanghai.

The low-budget film boasts a star-studded cast. Hong Kong veteran Kenneth Tsang plays a Chinese prosecutor and Damian Lau, a judge. Taiwan starlet Kelly Lin plays a Japanese girl who falls in love with a Chinese journalist, played by Taiwan heartthrob Ken Zhu.

American and Japanese actors also have parts in the film, including Broadway actor John Henry Cox who acted as the chief prosecutor.

Yan Wei said that his company is contacting the cinema circuit in Tokyo and he believes the movie will be screened in the Japanese capital.

The movie has recorded 10 million yuan at the box office since it debuted on September 1 in China. Enditem

Vivian Hsu's newest album "Vivi And" yesterday (19th) was released. Ex-boyfriend Vanness Wu sent flowers to show his good wishes, but in the card, under Vic, he only wrote one sentece "Wish your album sells good.", obviously colder than usual. Vivian revealed that she will phone everyone who sent her flowers. What about Vanness? Her response from her publicist: "Called him, everyone's still friends."

At the press meeting, Vivian specially wore a sexy white dress for the reporter meeting, and sang "I Still Believe" with Gary Cao Ge. Gary was nervous, and kissed Vivian's hands, letting Vivian squeal: "Cao Ge being nervous is so cute!"

The lyrics for "I Still Believe" is about courageously believing in love and remembering it, so the record company specially decorated the reporters meeting like a wedding feel, and also invited three pairs of 35 years, 38 years, and 40 years married couples to see.

For this album, there was a lot of family collaborations. Uncle Da Jing rapped in "Mermaid", brother also helped write lyrics, and older sister's child was in the "I Still Believe" MV, and also showed up at the press conference, making the reporters feel very warmed up.

New song "Mermaid" was number 2 ringtone downloaded, before the album even came out, so at the reporters meeting, many fans specially celebrated for Vivian by giving her flowers. Her friends who couldn't show up Liu Jiu Zhe, Shu Qi, Alyssa Jia, Alan Luo, Gigi Liang all wished her good luck on VCR. As for Jerry Yan, Zai Zai Vic Chou, Ken Zhu, and Vanness Wu all sent her flowers.
