Hello Everyone! I am Zhu Xiao Tian, Ken Chu.
I am inviting you to watch City of Sky.
The drama City of Sky, aside from the general subjects on love and family relationships, we have actually added an environmental protection angle.
We filmed partly in Yun Nan and in Japan, so you call all see that we have put a lot of effort in it. Since we filmed in 3 locations, there were also three kinds of editing. The plot of the drama is well knit.
In this drama I play the role of a photographer, he is extremely talented, he has a tenacious personality. When we filmed this drama it was really hard, we needed to be in Beijing for many months, 2 months in Yun Nan and after that maybe about a week in Japan. Then the drama was completed.
Actually this time I really feel strange to say it but during that time it was really very difficult. The work conditions in this drama were extremely hard. The reason is Yun Nan isn’t that developed yet, they don’t even have nice restrooms. During the filming everyone was really having a hard time, in particular the girls. But thinking about it now, the feeling is a bit amusing. But that just the ways it is, when you recall the past its past already. But during that time, everyday we really felt like dying. Ha ha.
This drama is a bit different from what we did in the past, the acting we used is very natural, it’s not like the traditional dramas that have more expressions in acting style.
Again I want to say that the scenery we selected here are very, very pretty, besides the beautiful sky of Yun Nan, you would also see the neighborhoods of Japan, it also has the Tokyo Tower, I suppose that this drama will have a different kind of enjoyment for everyone.

Ken Chu: I don’t want to be an idol.

Each time you look at Ken Chu and the other F4 members stand together, always smiling sometimes rather forced or awkward. Indeed with this group of beautiful males Ken Chu is somewhat ordinary compared to Jerry Yan, not as cute as ZaiZai, and can’t compare to the grace of Vanness, but he has his own glamour and charm, just look at his succession of scandals and you’ll know that he has a lot of sex appeal.

As a result, Ken Chu has gone all out in his work, releasing an album, writing a recipe book, making films, releasing a string of works to prove his own strength. To break off from the F4 title, showing his radiance. Soon after he made the movie “Tokyo Trials,” after experiencing so many twist and turns, it is soon to be released nationwide. With a historical theme, he plays a famous, rich, righteous reporter, Xiao Nan, for this role Ken is excited he says, “This is really a great film, I hope that it can arouse all of China’s love for country.

Yu: Have you seen the movie “Tokyo Trials?” What in the entire film gave you the biggest feeling?

Ken: I have seen the film, although I have seen 20 minutes of it. I was shocked especially the court scenes, it has historical records and it gave a dignified feeling, a lot of senior actors played their role really great.

Yu: Do you feel that they got you for commercial reasons or did the role really suit you?

Ken: I don’t know why they got me. I feel that it could be both. I am very fortunate to play a role that is so different from the past. I really went through a lot for this role.

Yu: You’re very fashionable. You have lived overseas for a long time, what experience did you use to feel those wartime years.

Ken: An actor should exert some effort in getting as close to the part he is playing; prior to filming, I did my homework, I watched a lot of documentary films made on that period. Also my Papa is a Nanjing person. We talked a lot about the circumstances of that period. So prior to filming I already had a deep impression of the tragic and miserable events of that time.

Yu: You played a few idol dramas, and you also have a lot of fans, but for this film you grew a beard aren’t you scared of destroying your image?

Ken: Xiao Nan is a reporter, he is busy running around; also, and in that year you can’t care too much about your appearance it’s not normal. I believe movie fans will see the movie. And won’t fuss about my appearance whether or not I am good looking, the most important thing is that it’s in accordance with the needs of the role.

Yu: Can you tell us about your role and story of this film?

Ken: The weather that time was so hot; it was unforgettable. It was Beijing’s hottest time. Specially the indoor scenes, there were many people and the lights were many and intense. Adding to that was the sound recording; we can’t turn on the air-conditioning, electric fan. The filming took a long time and I was sweating profusely, I needed to stop for make up. I specially admire Liu Song Ren, Zeng Jiang and the rest of the senior actors; from the beginning till the end they were always dressed in thick western suit and didn’t even complain.

Yu: This film put together, Liu Song Ren, Ying Da, Zeng Jiang, Zeng Zhi Wei etc. many senior actors. Acting with them, did you feel a lot of pressure?

Ken: They’re all outstanding actors, they have given a lot for this film and I learned a lot of things. Not only from them but also with the staff they were all professionals. Although the conditions were difficult and rough everyone exerted all their efforts to come up with the best.

Yu: Were there any regrets after you finished filming?

Ken: After each filming when I watch myself there will always be regrets but I haven’t seen the entire film so I don’t really know. But I have done my best for this film so that should be enough.

Yu: If you were born in the time of warfare what occupation will you choose to do?

Ken: It hasn’t really crossed my mind, but I could be a reporter, because in this film I acted as a reporter. As an actor now I get to be interviewed by reporters. I also want to try to interview other people and know their feelings.

Yu: After F4’s solo career, how did it affect you, did you anticipate it? In what direction do you want to develop?

Ken: This year at the HK Concert we feel that the response of the fans was especially warm. I feel that fans compared to before is still enthusiastic. From now on, if there is an opportunity, we will still work together. For me, I hope we can do some works with meaning, for example “Tokyo Trials” this type of work. Although my part is not big, it has a lot of significance and meaning.

Yu: You have stayed in a lot of places, which is your favorite?

Ken: Of course my favorite place is Taiwan because my family is there.

This film also includes, Kelly Lin, who acted as his sweetheart. During the filming the two turned into a “Jie Di Lian” and it became hot news. For this rumour, Ken objects, “This is utterly baseless. I hope everyone pay attention to the film. This is the fault of the publicity news. It seems Ken Chu wants to cast aside this scandals and is no longer willing be just a beautiful face. He wants to announce to the world: I don’t want to be an idol.

Tokyo Trials: Brief Introduction

March 20, 1946, China National Government was appointed, China Justices to conduct the Far East International Big Trial. Mei Ru Ao flies to Tokyo. Da Gong Bao reporter Xiao Nan is responsible for the tribunal news, he follows the whole course of the proceedings. In Japan he runs into his former classmate Fang Zi. Many years ago the two were lovers, because of the change in circumstances, but Xiao Nan avoided talking about their promises to each other. Fang Zi is suffering and she hopes for the promise marriage with a Japanese soldier.

At the end of the court trial, the Chinese Trial society suffered a lot of setbacks and challenges confronting each and every countries judgment creating a lot of difficulties. Chinese judges and prosecutors bravely participated in a battle of wits after careful debate and argument they got the advantage that they want.

Right wing Japanese wanted to assassinate Mei Ru Ao, after Xiao Nan found out about this he immediately rushed to make this known in the end the assassination attempts were foiled. When Bei Ye found out the Fang Zi still loved Xiao Nan his became uncontrollable and wanted to kill Xiao Nan. Fang Zi in order to save Xiao Nan hit Bei Ye Xiong, in the face of death Xiao Nan finally tells Fang Zi letting her die peacefully.

At the end of Far East International Big Trial, 7 war criminals were executed.

“Tokyo Trial” Commemoration Day Screening

For the commemoration of Far East International Military Affairs Court Tribunal’s 60th year, they invested more than 30,000,000 RMB for this epic film, a few days ago “Tokyo Trials” was completed. This reporter learned of this yesterday, this film is definitely going to be shown on August 15, the commemoration day of the Japanese surrender. Beginning June, the lead actors will begin propaganda activity for the movie. Nanjing City, who suffered a lot during the Sino-Japanese War, will be the focus of the propaganda activity.

"The Tokyo War Trials" which made known for the first time the incidents that happened during the Far East International Military Tribunal, this trial also brought Hideki Tojyo and other war criminals to court, it is directed by Gao Qun Shu; Zhu Xiao Tian, Lin Xi Lei, Zeng Zhi Wei, Liu Song Ren, Ying Da and others star in this film.

For a true to life portrayal of incidents in the court trial, English and Japanese language was used in the scenes or sometimes Chinese and Japanese, for instance Zhu Xiao Tian and Ying Da were chosen for the Japanese and English. The rumored sweethearts Zhu Xiao Tian and Lin Xi Lei play the parts of a star-crossed lover. Liu Song Ren and Ying Da play the part of Chinese judges; Zeng Zhi Wei plays the part of a war veteran. But after the preview in Beijing, because of Zhu Xiao Tian's idol style background (status) it caused questions from some movie fans.

"The Tokyo War Trials" was previously set to screen last May 3 as it was the Far East International Military Tribunals 60th anniversary, but because of the producers decision they finally decided to screen it on August 15. It is reported, that this film used a lot expensive (in price) original historical scenes which were bought from US, Holland.

F4 is really exploding with fame in Japan! Not only in the Parco Mall, Shibuya, Tokyo does the 4's huge mural photos are painted in its outside walls, but since May 19, Parco has also been conducting the 18-day " Chinese Stars Exhibit Fair" inside, attracting people who come for its huge collection of F4 product ads. F4's walk to fame has caused Taiwanese idol dramas to be given extensive attention.


F4 leads the pack and opens Japan's century of ideas


Inside the venue's entrance following the actual booths are Sakura ladies fully concentrated in watching F4's own lead role idol drama scenes. In addition, Zaizai and Da S love affair had also crossed the foreign seas and reached Japan, and both of their photos seems to be like " linked babies" appearing side by side together. Zaizai's idol drama "God Mars" photos included the one he was wearing a safety helmet and Da S's cosmetics book cover "Beauty Queen Look" which are also displayed together inside the same shelf.

Moreover, "Chinese Stars Exhibit Fair" used their product advertisment posters to make a single message board, providing their fans with something to write on for their idols. The area of "Jerry" messages are among those with the most lively words, and fans packed and filled up many love messages for Bao Long. A person exaggerated and wrote, " Jerry, you must come quickly to Japan, I think you know that I'll have stomach ache and wants to die. " Also, there are fans who used Chinese in writing, "I really love F4 very much", so seriously touchiing.

The ongoing "Chinese Stars Exhibit Fair" is for the stars' own idol drama. However, on Peter Ho 's "East" chinese character name, there were surprisingly Jay Chou fan messages found, and hoping Jay would come to Japan for a concert. Beside's F4's murals outside the mall, inside the venue are photo displays of Rainie Yang, Mike Ho, Joe Cheng, Eddie Peng, Alan Kuo and King One.


Every curio product was madly scaped out with Japanese money


Inside the venue are not only F4's projects are on exhibit. Numerous items of F4 curios are also on sale. Apart from F4 notebooks, keychains, DVDs, postcards and stickers, there are also bags written with "F4 You'll be Dead" . There are also Zai Zai-endorsed products and Jerry's milk candies from Mainland China. There is also an F4 portrait in the cover of the Chinese Males Stars Directory. As Jerry endorsed and appeared in a jewelry ad poster, many fans went to its booth to buy their gift items. It seems that as long as the product is stamped with "F4" , no matter what item it is, somebody will fish out money to buy them.

A "Chinese Stars Exhibit Fair" also put up a booth for a sticker machine. As long as they have 400 Japanese Yen to spare, fans immediately made their choices on the idol list whom they like to be photographed with in a "group picture sticker. " Even if the idol is far in Taiwan, they are already contented with to these small photo frames, which can somewhat satisfy the fans' imaginations just the same.

The interesting "Meteor Garden 1 & 2", "Love Scar" and "God Mars" are some of the much awaited Taiwanese idol dramas, which are all adapted from Japanese anime. Nowadays, Taiwan depends on these few idol dramas to "counter" the Japanese market and also depend on every kind of curio products which are madly scraping out money from the Japanese Sakura ladies' wallets. As feng shui would say, "make money" in return!

Mainland China’s “World Entertainment News” reported that the network’s previous “Ten Biggest Chinese Male and Female Stars” on line voting poll, which went on for two months, gave hot results yesterday. The three top male stars were Jerry Yan, Vic Zhou and Vanness Wu. The top 3 female stars chosen were Da S, Chris Lee and Lin Zhi Ling. Apart from being rumored in “Yan Lin lian” and the “Da Zai Lian, the two top listers are also closely watched by the mainland Chinese viewers , where many are still supporting Taiwanese idols.

The “Ten Biggest Male Stars are: Jerry Yan, Vic Zhou, Vanness Wu, Ken Zhu, Huang Xiao Ming, Pgest Male Stars” respectively are: eter Ho, Jay Chou, Nicholas Tse, Richie Jen and Bowie Lam. The “Ten Biggest Female Stars” are Da S, Chris Lee, Lin Zhi Ling, Ella Chen, Zhang Han Yin Yun, Ruby Lin, Liu Yi Fei, Gigi Lai , Charlene Choi and Gillian Chung. In on-line voting was only limited to mainland Chinese residents. For a two month period, there were nearly 900,000 on-line voters who sent their own “ideal men” Because many fans voted, thus it may be said that it was the top idol listing.

Yet, among those chosen artists, there are many TV stars such as Ruby Lin and Gillian Chung. They acted in “Jin Zhi Yu Nie” in mainland China which was rather popular so they came to enter the selection. On the male stars division, F4 occupied the first 4 in the chosen list. Among the top 10, the only mainland young male actor is Bowie Lam, outshining the others.

Ken arrived at Chongqing at 4:10 today. There were 10-20 Ken fans who were there early, some of them came from Beijing. Some of them prepared with DV cameras, they hope that Ken will walk a little bit slowly so that they can take his photo more clearly.

At first, I can watch it very clear because it's high-definition broadcast. Peijing, Tokyo and xisabannang is very beautifull! And I think the story is pretty good. A dream of a youth, love, the friendship are described in it without an exaggeration. Above all things, I think that the cast of ken fits him! He is stubborn, but he is tender... I thought that a part to say that "one's problem was settled by oneself" on episode 2 was right speech of his own. And you think Ken is the man who is in love, don't you!!!! I look forward to development of story in the future.

Ken arrived at Chongqing at 4:10 today. There were 10-20 Ken fans who were there early, some of them came from Beijing. Some of them prepared with DV cameras, they hope that Ken will walk a little bit slowly so that they can take his photo more clearly.

At 4:45 p.m. Ken passed them, he was wearing a coat and had a little beard. When the Ken fans said. "Welcome to Chongqing!" Ken waved in return. His mood was pretty good.
