Ken Chu, Happier if he is not a Artist

F4's Ken Chu started to work to earn money at 16 years old, clearing plates at resturants, distributing flyers on streets, runnign errands with the bicycle, and even moving stones at construction sites. Hard work ? He shook his head and said, "Among so many jobs, it's the hardest work being a artist !"

His character was very disobedient since young. While he was in secondary school, he was being nagged by the teacher because his hair was too long. The next day, he shave his hair bald and went to school. In the end, he was being marked because he was being to defending on himself. After he came out to the society, his disobedience didn't change, he continued to do piercings on his body, belly, nipple, nose, he was full of piercings throughout his body. He said, "I'm disobedient but i don't commit crimes. That's because i know it's my life, if i'm being caught for doing bad things, i will have to be responsible for my actions."

Never beg others

Because of this character, he used both his hands to earn money from young, Wai Hui, services at hotel, western resturant, distributing flyers, bubble tea shops, KTV, Fast messages, moving co, moving stones, roast stores, pet shop, modeling, backstage logistics to being a celebrity, he was a King's worker. He said proudly, "I started earning money at 16. I have never beg anyone, compared to doing hard jobs, i find that it's embarassing if a guy cannot support himself !" Doing so many jobs, which job is the hardest ? He said without thinking, "It's the hardest being a celebrity."

Being Cheated & Being Angry

He said, although being a artist allows you to earn money fast, sees more. You have to make yourself feel like a merchandise instead of a human during work. You have to endure being cheated and getting angry," Many people bully you when they know you are an artist, they get you a cigarette box for you to sign. If you don't sign on it, they say you're acting big-shot, they don't respect people at all! When you're buying things, some bosses would purposely fixed high prices. If you don't buy them, they'll say, "Earning so much yet so stingy!"

kzxt, na-download ko na yung pattaya vid...although, 1st 4 songs e hindi kumpleto.. may mga cut... pero sobrang ganda ng performance nya talaga sa pattaya.. full of energy.. wala siyang part na na-out of tune a.. hehe.. ang galing!!!! at best of all.. nag-eenglish sya..hehe.. panalo pa ang mga pose and rocker moves nya a! dami pang tuwalyang pinunas sa kanya ang hinagis sa audience a. tapos mga mineral bottle water na ininuman nya tapos hinagis din sa audience. hehe.. :D

Hay naku, may napakinggan akong 3 songs sa website ng sony and nakakaka-in-love grabe. Pati yung bunso kong kapatid ayun naloloka na rin kay Ken :D Can't wait to get my copy sana mag-Friday na greyhavens :D

heat of the night - "i wrote this when i was 17" astig! ang surprise e yung last part ng (yung line na why did she lie & i thought it will be alright) .. iniba nya yung tono.. as in tinaasan. falsetto!!! astig!!!! pati yung heat of the night part.... grabeee!!!! tilian yung mga fans!

yi ge hao ren - special request of his thai fans... ganda din ng pagkakakanta.. nag-falsetto sya kaya astig talaga unlike dun sa hk na pinilit nya abutin yung mataas na part ng hindi nag-falsetto.. mas maganda 'tong sa thailand...ang sarap itaas ang mga kamay at iwagayway habang kumakanta sya.. hehe...

yong bu ting zhi - nakakatuwa ang mga thai fans.. sa sobrang lakas nilang kumanta e natuwa si ken at tumigil sya sandali at sila ang pinakanta... kahit medyo parang nagsenyas sya na medyo pagod na e kayang kaya pa rin yung song. abot na abot pa rin yung mataas na part.. galing!!!! tapos sa bandang last part e may tabig the mike stand pa at luhod.. hehe...!!!!! astig!!!!

kzxt, buti na lang ni-resize mo.. hehe.. muntik na 'kong himatayin nung nakita ko yang mga mag scans na yan sa kenforever.. biglang bumulaga. ang lalaki at ang ganda ng mga shots... grabe!!!!!!
dko yan ni resize... malaki tlga yan habang nagloload ka pero after nya magload bumabalik sa regular size... grabe pamatay mga pics no... ang gwapo!!! para akong siraulo paulit-ulit ako dito hehe

yun mga magazines na nasa siggy ko available na dito sa pinas. gusto mo bumili? nagbebenta kami hehe don't worry, we're selling it at cost :) sana nga available na yun dito... mukha after ilan months pa kasi bago palng siya.

HK$ ba yan? how much na ang convertion ngayon? marami ba talaga yung mga kuha ni KEN don?
mga P7-8 ata ang conversion ng peso-hk eh... ang dami nyang pics dyan sa magazine na yan.. worth it bilhin.

ni-resize yan ng photobucket.. sobrang laki kasi ng filesize.. hehe.. ang gwapo talaga! di na tuloy ulit ako nakapagwork kasi save ko agad mga pics.. hehe... sige, txt ko si aken03 para kita na tayo. set natin sched..
grabe super laki nga ng pics.. dko alam kng makakailang diskettes ako pag transfer ko sa ofc pc to hse pc namin. sabi ko nga sat tayo kita eh kaso d daw pwede si aken03.

Homaygas! Susmaryosep na mga pics teka kukuha ako ng mop at drooling to the max ako ehehehe Matagal na akong in-love kay Ken, pero mukhang mas lalala ang kahibangan ko pag narinig ko na nga songs nya :D
nako.. i promise you, more surprises to come.. wala kang itulak kabigin dyan sa mga songs ng album niya kasi may kanya kanya syang distinct quality.. naks! hehe.. :D wait till you listen to track 4 (yi ge hao ren). sama ka na rin sa mga na-inlove sa song na yan.. :D see you friday! :)

Lagi na nga eh...yung bunso ko ngang kapatid eh naloloka na rin sa boses ni Ken...konti na lang KENiac na rin yun :D Ngayon nga pinagtitiyagaan ko yung 3 clips from the sony website...enough na yung para maghapon akong nag-a-ahihihihihi dito na parang timang. Tempting talaga na titigan ko lang pics nya dito maghapon dito sa office. Kahit hindi na ako kumain kasi pics pa lang ulam na Waahaahhaahah KENiac na talaga.

Ay maraming thank you in advance...alam mo wish ko talaga mag fast forward na to Friday :P Lagot kung the past few months eh napuyat ako ng mga telenovelas eh mukhang si Ken ang pupuyat sa akin sa mga susunod na buwan :P

KEN DOLL

Not exactly known as the cutest F4 member, KEN CHU still evoked plenty of excited squeals and, strangely, lottery tickets from giggly fans.

Here at a press con to promote his debut album, KEN CHU finds himself in a bit of a pickle. Some smitten fans have cornered him with a stack of lottery slips (lovingly tucked into a red packet) - they won't let him quit the entertainment scene if he wins the loot! To which Ken jests beguilingly, "Does that mean I have to retire if I don't strike it rich?" LIME catches up with Ken to see how he's doing sans Vanness, Jerry and Vic.

LIME: You've said that given an option, you would have chosen to kick-start your career in music. Sounds like you can hardly wait to fly solo.

KEN CHU: (Laughs) I'm not impatient. When I signed up with the company I wanted to be a singer. But then I shot Meteor Garden and became very 'hong'(Mandarin for 'popular') because of it.

L: With the release of your debut album On Ken's Time, does it bother you that your solo career will be overshadowed by F4? I mean, you guys were a massive phenomenon.

KC: No, not in the least. I don't need to exorcise the past - it's all part of my career as an artiste. I don't consider F4 as excess baggage. If anything, Meteor Garden was a helpful stepping stone towards my solo career. It launched me into the consciousness of many television viewers.

L: Did you get any jitters from cutting your first album?

KC: Hardly. All that was on my mind was to make a good record. Overall, I think it was a good attempt.

L: You were the last out of F4 to release your solo album. Because you wanted to be good enough before you released it. Er, does that mean the others weren't good enough?

KC: Of course not! It'd be treacherous of me to even suggest that.

L: So does that mean you're a perfectionist?

KC: Well, no. I was held up at many stages. Initially I was a bit frantic to see the other members releasing their albums one after the other so quickly! On Ken's Time was three years in the making and gave me time to mature as a musician. And it shows. So everything has turned out well. I feel very lucky.

L: Whose album is the best?

KC: I can't compare because all four of us are very different. We have our own styles. I don't especially listen to one album more than another. I support them equally because these are my close friends. It doesn't matter if I like or dislike their music.

L: Do you miss the rest of the F4 lads?

KC: Sometimes I feel a bit lonesome without them. With the others around, I feel a bit lighter and happier. Say, if you don't know how to respond to a question, the rest are there to help you out.

L: What kind of music gets your mojo going?

KC: The Beatles, especially their later albums like Abbey Road, Let It Be, Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and Rubber Soul. I love music that grows on you, simple music that you don't tire of. There are some singers out there who release junk albums just for the sake of entertainment and to appease their eager fans. To me, their music sounds very 'wooden'.

L: You wrote the lyrics for the track 'Black and White', which has a strong aura of nostalgia about it. How did the idea for the song come about?

KC: The inspiration was Audrey Hepburn. I simply dig old films. There's just something magical about them. One of my favourite films of all time is The Sound Of Music. I was just throwing out ideas for 'Black and White' and next thing I knew, I had the lyrics.

L: Recently, you appeared on a variety show pitting your culinary skills against a pretty Taiwanese host. And you forgot to add meat to the dish. So are you better at cooking or ogling distractedly at babes?

KC: It's hard to choose between the two. I mean, I can do both at the same time! I love cooking spontaneously with whatever ingredients I have. Then again, I've always loved home-made food. Maybe that's why.

L: How was Valentine's Day this year for you?

KC: I slept the day away. Every year around February I'm always alone with no girlfriend. (Sighs) This year was no exception. I didn't make any special plans to date or go out.

L: Poor thing. Are you very hard to please?

KC: Er, I don't have any special requirements. I don't set standards for my girlfriends. It all depends on whether there's a certain 'vibe' between me and her. That's impossible as everyone is different!

L: Which female actress have you worked with and fits the closest bill to your ideal lover?

KC: (Wary) They're all okay. Really.

L: Do you think love is way overrated?

KC: Hmmm, everyone has their own perspective and I can't speak for everyone. For me, love depends on fate. If I'm fated to meet someone special, I'll meet her. If I don't, I don't. I don't think of starting romantic liaisons all the time.

L: What kind of role would you like to set your acting chops to?

KC: Sometimes I get offered a leading role but when I read the script, I'm more drawn towards playing the villain instead. (chuckles) Then I don't get the role. For me, fighting to be the first in everything is pointless. You don't always have to play the lead.

L: You've gone through hard times and taken on odd jobs as a gardener, waiter, and even worked in a pet shop. What life lessons have you learnt?

KC: From young, I didn't have everything. For me, to set your sights too high is only setting yourself up for disappointment. It's hard to always remain at the top. I only strive to be happy and contented in hard work. Make an honest living.

L: Sound like you're a very contented guy!

KC: Well, I can't complain... my career has been going pretty well!

L: What touches you most about your work?

KC: People who take me seriously and follow me around everywhere just to show their support. To me, it really means I'm appreciated for my efforts. It makes me contented to think I made a difference in their lives.

L: Vanness once described you as "cool and collected - but a deep thinker." Did he nail you down to a T?

KC: That's just one side of me. But that's probably how he sees me.

L: So what's in Ken's head most of the time?

KC: Oh, everything. But these days, all I can think about is rest! (Wistful) I'm not sure when I can take a break. I don't know, I really don't know... (Grins)

Unseen: Yeah.. [laugh] You are the one who come to Thailand very often. How many times?

Ken: Oh! Many, many times already, I guess, right now. Since I was like, a kid. Yeah. The first time I stepped into this country I was like 7 (years old) [laugh]. That was the first time, then I was out to Taiwan, and then umm.. we went to Philippines, then we come to Bangkok. So, umm, I've actually stayed in Thailand for like a year when I was about 10 (years old) before I moved to Singapore. And then, ummm.. after I went back to Taiwan at 17 (years old) umm... and I've come back to Thailand often to visit my friends and relatives.. some relatives here.

** I wonder how many months or even years he stayed in the Philippines? hmm...

Unseen: I have some questions from Thai fan club to ask you. Let's start the first question.

Fan#1: I've already watched your MV. It was very well produced. Nice scenario. And you look great. I'd like to know if you want to shoot your MV in Thailand? And which place do you want your MV to be shot?

Ken: If I've a chance I'd like to go to southern part of Thailand to shoot the music video. I think the things there is the most beautiful.

**He's really a nature-lover :)

Unseen: But we heard that every time you come to Thailand, you will go to Praprom...

Ken: I don't go there anymore because ..um.. last time I went there, I was trying to pray and then people were taking a picture, then I didn't feel comfortable. So, I chose not to go anymore. But I think if you have a believe, you don't really have to go there.

** He doesn't want people taking pictures of him especially on his private moment. Well it's really evident that some people took pics of him when praying on temples.

Unseen: What you wish?

Ken: huh..??

Unseen: What you wish?

Ken: Um.. mostly for health and ..um.. the safe, y'know, because I've been traveling around a lot. And I just want to be safe.

Unseen: Love? Love too?

Ken: Actually, I don't have a time right now. So, I'd say "hold on." [laugh]

Ken: Umm.. OK, first of all, I don't think you understand me [laugh] because everyone has a lot of different sights but I still have to thank them for supporting me throughout all these. And ..um.. how do I feel about Thai fans. Umm, well, there's only just one little problem with ..um.. Thai fans ..um.. just ..um.. every time when I'm in and out of the airport, they.. they just love to touch me. So, every time when I'm in Thai airport I feel like an animal in a petting zoo and everybody just pet me. [laugh] So, if this possible I'd like people to stop [laugh] because that's not the good feeling. But I still do love to see them when I'm at the airport, y'know. It feels very warm when people welcome you and just, y'know, trying to be closed to you and telling you, y'know, they love you and .. yah.

** Now we know the reason why he doesn't want to be touched by his fans at the airport .. it's funny that he feels that way ( I feel like an animal in a petting zoo and everybody just pet me. [laugh]) but i guess we have to respect him =) XT has a different outlook in everything .. so next time you'll bump into him at the airport ... remember this! haha (lourds i hope u read this one hehe)

Unseen: Every fan of F4 wants to know F4 has opportunity to join again?

Ken: Oh, we've never seperated. And, y'know, I've been, I've been staying (in) this (position), y'know, for, like a, the past 5 years. We're not a group. [laugh] We're not a band. We're just partners (that) working together. And.. and.. so, I don't think there's any shoes on seperating or combining, y'know. We've never seperated. [laugh]

Hi xiaotiangirl! Xiexie! Yes, kakauwi ko lang kaninang hapon. Namimiss ko na nga Taiwan e. Wish ko doon ako nakatira.

Hindi ko napanood mga videos ni Ken sa Channel V or MTV o kahit anong channel doon. Isang beses ko lang siya nakita sa TV. May sinabi sa MTV yata about F4 na syempre hindi ko naman naintindihan.

Iniisip ko nga kung o-order rin ako ng magazine, kaya lang naisip ko di na talaga ako matutulog nyan :P Teka, aling mag ba yung may pinaka maraming pics? :D
naku pagdating ng mga ken clips mo, im sure 1 araw nalng tulog mo sa isang linggo kakamarathon nyan hehe

Ken Chu Ends the 3 "difference" to be a Chinese

F4's Ken Chu recently got interviewed by HMC, he began speaking alot about his background 3 "differences" relationship.

Ken was born in Taiwan, at nine years old, he went to Singapore to study, after 8 years at 17 years old, he went back to Taiwan. He said, "Right now, most young people would say :I'm a Taiwanease, i'm from Hong Kong, or I'm from China. That was what i've said previously: However, after that, i'll say i'm a chinese. No matter where am i, as a chinese, i think it's the thing to be proud of. In fact, not only is it our cultural background or history, lots of big logical fields that have been passed down by us(chinese), have been improved alot compared to other places. I'm personall a more China, Lao zi (old), Zhuang Zi logic person. I'll admire and push out Ou jia and dao jia's thinkings. I find that, many other countries still cannot catch up to the thinkings of chinese people. On the appearence, i'm a true chinese, many people would dye their hair, but i will never. Because Chinese people should show the smell of the Chinese."

Ken had just released his solo album On Ken's Time. In it, there's a Cantonese song, Fen Shou Yi Bai Tian, letting Hk fans to be over the moon. Ken smiled and said, "I recorded this song in Taiwan for 3 days, and later recorded it in Hk for 3 days. It wasn't recorded properly in Taiwan, that's because no one spoke to me in Cantonese and it's hard to submerged myself in it. After i came to Hk, the song was recorded."

Ken Chu has gathered over 3000 CDs. His collection doesn't only have to sound good but also look good. He said, "A good CD is like a piece of art, thought has to be put into it." For the past 6 years he has spend 20 to 30 thousand dollars each month in buying CDs which is enough to buy a house.

When he was in 4th grade his classmates listened to Tommy Page, Bryan Adams while he hugged onto The Beatles. But at that time he didn't have much money to spend on CDs until he got a job.

Bought more than 130,000 at once
Although when he first stepped into the real world his salary wasn't high, he was set to buy 3 CDs each month. When "Meteor Garden" became famous, he spendings on music leaped. Once he bought over HKD$30,000 worth of CDs in HK's HMV Music Store within two hours. Calling him "CD crazy" isn't an exaggeration.

The most precious CD in his collection is a Beatles one, which includes more than 30 songs. Each cover is the Beatles' singles images, making him love them a lot and he bought 2 sets. One set is for listing and one for his collection. In addition, he has the 1950s to 1960s classic Jazz in Paris. When he saw it in HK he immediately bought 2 sets.

Photoalbum in his album
Besides the music being good, the CD's design and packaging is also something he looks at. For example Miles Davis' album has his autograph on it. "John Lennon's has his drawing and works. Ken, in his own album On Ken's Time, included a photoalbum. He hoped to increase the art of the music.

True, magastos talaga ang magbibibili ng CD. Nakakatawa kasi doon sa first music store na pinuntahan ko sa Taipei, may nakita na agad akong 2 versions ng album ni Ken, yung photobook and camera version, tapos binili ko na agad. Tapos the next day, may nakita akong parehong version, may autograph ni Ken. Tapos hindi parehong-pareho pagka-sign niya. Ang tagal kong nag-isip pero in the end, binili ko pa rin pareho. Bisyo na 'to. Haha.

hello xiaotiangirl.. wala pang news diyan sa city of sky e. ang tagal tagal ng tapos.. grabe.. just watched the teaser last night and ang ganda talaga ng cinematography.. at may kissing scene pa talaga si papa ken.. although mild lang naman. hehe... :)

Malamang nga nagkita na tayo at hindi lang natin alam...Parang gusto ko nyang WFD China na mag ha, pag-iisipan ko nga yan...tapos magmeet tayo sometime kasama na rin si greyhavens. :)
uuyy nagmeet na pala kayo hehe baka naman nagkikita na tayo d lng naten alam :) RE: magazines, yun WFD China mag, maraming Ken pics.. worth it siya for P200. yun Taiwan mags, kelangan mo bilhin in package eh.. meaning 5 magazines agad.. pero worth it din pag nagcocollect ka ng Ken Stuff :)

Oo nga eh, bitin no? Next time for sure kailangan mag tsikahan tayo. Babalik talaga ako hahaha. Oo napakinggan ko na twice yung album...very refreshing yung songs nya. Yung sister ko, KENiac na. Naloka kami sa mga epektos...thank you very much talaga. Hinanap nga namin kagabi yung scene sa Sky of Love na finocus yung kamay ni Ken..hay naku rewind at pause kami...ang ganda ganda ng kamay nya.

Alam mo ok lang kung pirapiraso natin makuha...the more the merrier diba? Atleast maraming KENiacs ang makakakuha :P Share-share tayo diba?

True, magastos talaga ang magbibibili ng CD. Nakakatawa kasi doon sa first music store na pinuntahan ko sa Taipei, may nakita na agad akong 2 versions ng album ni Ken, yung photobook and camera version, tapos binili ko na agad. Tapos the next day, may nakita akong parehong version, may autograph ni Ken. Tapos hindi parehong-pareho pagka-sign niya. Ang tagal kong nag-isip pero in the end, binili ko pa rin pareho. Bisyo na 'to. Haha.

Ako rin, gusto ko yung pic C. Kasi minsan lang yung parang nagiging unconventional siya. Laging picture perfect smiles. OK din yung pinapakita niya yung crazy side niya. :P

I have a question about Great Teacher Onizuka (tama ba? The pre-MG series of Ken and Jerry?). Ilang CDs yon? Kasi may nabili ako sa Rose pero 2 CDs lang. May nakita ako before sa Hong Kong pero ang mahal, HK$1,000+, kaya hindi ko binili kasi PhP7,000+ na rin yon. Pero ang daming CDs non. Isang box or set.

Ang tagal ko nang hinahanap ito sa Philippines. Yung friend ko kasi meron. Sa Papyvore Robinson's Galleria niya nabili dati pa. Nung pumunta ako, ubos na daw. 5 lang binenta nila. Kahit sa HK, wala rin akong nakita. Ang ginawa ko kasi dati sa Comicman ng friend ko, hiniram ko while she was away for half a year, tapos nung malapit ko nang isoli, pinicture-an ko bawat page, para di ko makalimutan kung ano ang nandoon - kabaliwan talaga. Nung nalaman nga niya na ginawa ko yon, sabi niya sana binigay na lang niya sa akin. E alam ko namang love din niya F4, so ayoko naman. Sa Taiwan, sa Mag Freak sa Xi Men Ding, ang dami! Ang saya ko nga nung nakita ko e.

The Ringo Starr of F4 has joked about being a ‘B-list’ act, but Ken Chu may be the group’s most accomplished member, writes FOONG WOEI WAN.

YOU could call Ken Chu the Ringo Starr of F4. Like the former Beatle, he is arguably the least popular member of the Taiwanese mega group.

Sure, he sends women into a swoon, but not to the same degree as the other three members – Jerry Yen, Vic Chou and Vanness Wu.

Ken Chu: The last of the F4 guys to have a solo album out.
And he knows it. When he went on the Taiwanese talk show Mr Con & Ms Csi recently, he joked about being a “B-list” artiste.

But for all his humility, Chu, 26, may just be the group’s most musically accomplished member, though he is the last of the four to have a solo album out.

His 11-track rock-lite album, On Ken’s Time, is worth the wait. He composed one track called Revival and wrote the words to another one about his idol, Audrey Hepburn, titled Black and White.

A who’s who of Chinese songwriters, from Taiwan’s Wu Bai and Mayday to Singapore’s Paul Lee Wai Shiong, penned or produced other songs on the album.

Taiwanese indie singer-producer Sandee Chen reportedly said she volunteered to work with Chu after she heard him play the guitar at a concert.

The album made its debut at No.2 on the Taiwanese G-Music chart in early January. Record company Sony BMG declined to disclose sales numbers for Taiwan and Singapore.

Chu, who was born in Taiwan but lived in Singapore in his teens with a guardian, was in Singapore recently on a three-day trip to plug his record.

During a phone chat before a press conference at Orchard Hotel, he sounded like his usual unruffled self, even when he revealed that someone had stolen his iPod a few days ago. “People always like to steal artistes’ things,” he said before adding: “It’s okay if you get used to it.”

You could almost hear him shrug mentally, as he shared his thoughts on fame, music and why he has feet of clay.

How did you get this group of A-list songwriters and producers, from Wu Bai to Mayday, to work with you?

It wasn’t me. It was my company. I’ve never asked for too much in these matters. My company wanted me to do something different musically, and got these heavyweight producers.

Who are your influences musically?

I was 11 when I listened to the Beatles. I don’t like modern pop music that much. Everyone has different tastes.

You once talked about the travails of being a pop idol, and yet you would put up with anything for a chance to make music. If you could do it all again, would you still have signed to be part of F4?

If I had known what was going to happen, I probably wouldn’t have. If you know what will happen when you press this red button, will you still press? Of course you won’t. Of course you will say, “Ey, what will happen if I press the blue button?”

In the past two years, F4’s fame has spread to Thailand and Indonesia. Now your management is going to unleash you guys on Japan. What do you make of this?

We’re going to Japan, but whether we’ll be popular there, we don’t know. I’ve never thought too much about this. Whatever the company tells me to do, I’ll do it.

What’s the one thing you always do whenever you come to Singapore?

Sleep. (Chuckles) I sleep quite comfortably in Singapore. Maybe I’m used to it here, so I sleep better.

If I look my friends up, I’ll only add to their troubles. I go on a TV show or whatever, and all the reporters go to trouble my friends and to ring the doorbell of my guardian. I dare not look them up now.

You act, you sing, you cook, you are an avid photographer and you used to work as an assistant on the set of the popular variety programme, Super Sunday. What gives you the greatest satisfaction?

You get different sorts of satisfaction from different sorts of work. When you work in a restaurant, when people think your food is good, you’d feel satisfied. It’s very simple.

You had a reported run-in with your female fans in Singapore two years ago, and another one in Taipei in January.

(Vehemently) That was a totally different thing.

Still, some might say you’re a bad boy.

We were informed by SonyBMG Hong Kong yesterday that Ken's first mini concert has confirmed to be held on the 23 Apr 2005 (Sat) Evening at Hong Kong Kowloon Exhibition hall. More details on the tickets will be announced later. KCIFC Headquarter will consolidate all ticket orders from all branches and proceed.

With the good experience of the last celebration party in Taiwan for his album launched, KCIFC Hongkong will be organising another round of celebration party for this memorable event. Very true. Ang dami ko ring pinalagpas na F4 stuff...lalo na nung bago ko pa lang silang nagugustuhan. Para ngang nanghihinayang ako ngayon na hindi ko binili yung DVD version ng Meteor Garden.

Hello everybody. I'm Ken Chu and um.. it's very nice to see you here.

Are there any changes after being "On Ken's Time?"

Well, actually.., basically, nothing has changed. Um, actually I've met people ..um.. that has known me for very long before I was the entertainer, after I was it and.. and they've actually told me that you never change at all. So, I think I'm actually quite happy about that.

Why is your album named "On Ken's Time?"

The name "On Ken's Time" actually comes from the book. OK. I read the book, it's called "On Mexican Time." Umm.. an american guy, he do.. he moves all the way to Mexico to get the new life and stuffs and.. and.. he wrote the book about it. I like.. I like the title because um.. for me, I need music. I need music everyday, everywhere I go, y'know. Sometimes, no matter when I'm waiting for flight inside the airport, I just put it on! And then, when I put my earphone on, I'm out of this world! I'm not here! I can just wandering around very freely everywhere I go, y'know. I can be right here but my mind is already in North Pole, in South Pole. Everywhere that I want to go! "On Ken's Time" means that whenever you put this music on, you're "On Ken's Time" and you're free! You can be wherever you want to be.

What's the concept of this album?

OK. The concept of this um.. whole album is actually taking you back to the basic, y'know. Because when we started to do this album umm.. we're having discussions and meetings and stuffs. And people asked me what do you want to do about it, and then I, actually I was thinking like I recalled the first time I went to the concert and I was really touched. I was a simple concert and.. and.. and there's no fireworks, no dancers, no nothing. Just a bunch of old guys and.. just sit down there and sing. And then I was really touched, not by ... [his gesture is trying to tell us that it's not by the other things but] ...by the music! What I'm trying to put inside is I want to say "go back, go back to the beginning," y'know. The thing that really touch you is music. It's not those, y'know, how good this guy is looking, or what he's wearing, or he's having so many dancers, y'know, or.. he looks so good on the stage. It's just music! And I hope people really do enjoy the music.

Heard that in this album, you wrote the song [Black & White] by yourself?

I wrote this song because um.. me and producer, we both like this song very much but the lyrics umm.. wasn't suitable. And then we had a few versions of it, and.. we didn't like it. So.., headache for us cuz time is running out. Everything is running out, Um.. so I told my producer. I say "Hey, why not let me try?" So, I take it home. Put it on. I went to the bathroom and do my business, and I just [laugh] reading this Audrey Hepburn's book, y'know, photo, autograph and stuff. And it just poped up! "Yeah, I can write something about black & white movie cuz I love it." The lyrics is about a fan, movie fan, watching this movie, knowing that um.. he's actually not real but still willing to, y'know, .... on it because the atmosphere, he just love it so much. At the end, he just can't even tell if he is in the real world or he is in the movie world. Yeah.

What's your most favorite song in "On Ken's Time?"

Well, I like the last song. Um.. 帶我離開 (Dai Wo Li Kai), "Take Me Away." Why? I don't think there's a reason for "why?" It's hard to say, y'know, "why?" I think, simply, that song just give me the feeling, the emotion that.. I really like it.

Are you going to have a concert in Thailand?

Well, actually that has to depend on the sales of the CDs and... [Interviewer says sth. to him, then he was just laughing so loud] Thank you so much! Well, if it is very good, y'know, because I can have a concert here, y'know. Just to pay them back, y'know. Thank you all for so supportive. [smile]

Let's talk about something personal! Do you like Thai food?

Oh, I love everything! [laugh] Everytime I come to Thailand I just, I just never order from the hotel. I was telling the staffs "could you please get me some Thai local food? I want really, really hot and spicy and stuffs, y'know. Because last time I.. I.. I came and then I was in this hotel, and then I cannot go out as usual and.., so I have to order from the room service menu and I was.. "Oh, Tom Yum Kung! I want this!" And then it comes out tasteless! Y'know. Then I called the hotel. I called the room service "Hey, I want something for real Thai people, y'know. [laugh] I'm not foreigner." So, everytime I'm here I'll ask the staffs to go out and bring me Thai food. I just love Thai food.

What're you doing when you're free?

Um.. I cook. I cook. I dive. I do scuba diving. I do sky diving also.

What about the style of girl you like?

Well, I don't.. I don't.. I don't consider that anymore because I've realized that um.. it's not up to you to choose actually. I actually.. I prefer to leave it, y'know, how can I say.. umm.. I think it's destiny and faith when we met someone and it's not up to you to choose how she's like or what kind of person....

She's there, then she's there.

Yes! If you have a feeling, you have a feeling. And it doesn't matter what type of person she is, I think.

Rather than music and acting, what else do you want to do in the future?

Well, actually um.. it's all up to my management but right now I'm working on the promotion of this album. And um.. I'll just focus on this promotion right now. So, um.. I think there're other progress going on but my management haven't let me know yet. So, um...

Ken Chu Li Bingbing Beijing Hotel Secretly playing, Caught on

F4's Ken Chu, whose has most rumours had been in touched with a new drama,City of Sky together with China, Beijing. In this drama, he worked with Li Bingbing, who is currently the most popular female actress in China right now. During the period of fliming, it was rumoured that they weren't on good terms. However, this week's HK Dong Fang Xing Di got pictures of them booking a hotel room last year in Beijing. Seeing that Ken and Li Bingbing running towards their room and couldn't help but got together before the room door, and even hotly kissed. This proved that both of them weren't on bad terms, they were actually on rather good terms !

Ken Chu, whose Tao Hua is flying all around, ever since rumours were said that he was on steady with Japan's Mayi and had rumours pointing out that they were staying under one roof. Right now, there are pictures of a relationship fate between Li Bingbing and him last year, and this proved Ken's more feelings.

During mid May or June last year, Ken went to Beijing to flim a drama series, City of Sky. The female lead who was working with him was Li Bingbing. Both of them didn't know beforehand, it was rumours saying that Ken look down on China actress, Li Bingbing. However, after interaction with the management company, Ken started being really warmth to Li Bingbing. However, the thing that broke the silence was that, both of them who actually couldn't see eye to eye, had actually a private session at a hotel !

According to the person who gave this piece of news, during the fliming period of City of Sky, she often appear at Ken's Beijing Wu Zhou Huang Guan Holiday Hotel in which he was staying. Both of them were actually in a midst of hot , as Li Bingbing often appear to look for Ken in the middle of the night, the moment Ken recieved a call, he had gone down to recieve Li Bingbing. And even before they walked into their room, Ken cannot control but place his arm to locked her, hugging and kissing her.

The slim Li Bingbing who had the pressure of Ken's tall built pressing over, she had no intention to move away at all. In fact, she was like a little bird, lying against Ken's arm. Li Bingbing, who had the title of "China's girl, who had most Tao Hua luck", showed her smiles towards Ken's teasing eye expressions. Ken couldn't help and couldn't help his lust at the room door. He kissed Li Bingbing , after kissing for more than ten over seconds, he didn't find it enough and bended down and gave her a whole long kiss. His expression looked really passionate. Li Bingbing couldn't move and could only hold on with it. Both of them entered Ken's room and according to reports, the both of them only left the room at 12 noon the next day.

As to Ken's extra feelings, Mayi , who heard the news yesterday was suprised but refused to comment.

People who knew the insides revealed that, Ken and Mayi were indeed a couple. However, the female partner was more honest. Ken had refused to announce his relationship. Even during the start of the exposure of their relationship, Ken didn't really understand Mayi, causing her to feel difficult.
