Sila ba ang mag-hahandle ng world tour ni Rain? if thats the case most definitely ABS will be the one promoting it (wish ko talaga sila). Kasi alam ko kailan lang nagkaroon nag-merge ang ABS at KBS para sa mga programs nito. I don't know the whole story pero parang kapag may nagustuhan ang ABS na program nila ipapalabas nnila and likewise, I think:confused: Pero sana nga ABS ang mag-handle ng promotion. Pero teka muna, talaga bang mag-co-concert si RAIN dito. Pakisampal lang po ako :( hindi kasi mag-sink in ang mews na yan. Sandali lang ako nawala sa thread ganito na ka-heavy ang news. Napakalakas ng statement ng mv nya, hello world Im coming talaga to the nth level! Sobra wala akong maibigay na tamang words kasi parang kulang yung naiisip ko. Basta ang alam ko, ang galing galing nya, and the wings looked real, really, so kewl! and the dance moves , oh my! di ako makakatulog nito waaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!:eek:

Don't worry PRETTYSARAH I'm not dissing out Mr. Presly, so wala sanang magalit sa aking oldies kasi old din ako :D . Yung look lang nya sa pictures kasi classic, parang kinunan way back pa, pero maganda naman ang kinalabasan. Ako din naman I want Bi to succeed beyond Asia, sana lang hwag syang masyadong mahawa sa mainsteam RnB, kasi baka mawala na ang Asian touch niya, na I think is one of the factors na kinakagat sya ng western audience. Meron kasing something different sa kanya, kahit na parehong tunog niya with the westerns. I don't want him to be just one of them, I want him to Bi different the way he is now. Based on the theme "To exceed the boundary and leave all the worries behind", the guests talked freely about their experiences which were never revealed before. In particular, RAIN recalled his rebellion in youth and leaving away from home. He missed his mother so much when thinking of her endless love to him.

06.10.24 Big hurray from Las Vegas "First overseas concerts are confirmed!"

The first overseas concerts of <Rain's Coming>, will be held at Las Vegas, USA on Dec 23 and 24. This two-day event is a celebration for Christmas eve, as well as a fire lighting to announce the commencement of his world tour.

Jamie King is the production director in charge of stage design, previously he directed the concert productions for Madonna, Ricky Martin, Britney Spears... etc.

On the other hand, Tom Hudak is the main production planner of <Rain's Coming>. He assisted Mariah Carey and Paula Julie Abdul to enter global music market. Next to be mentioned is Roy Bennet, a top designer who built Eagles, Madonna and other super stars. Obviously there is a strong team behind this world tour concert!

At the performance stage of Caeser Palace, it's common to find Celine Dion, Reginald Kenneth Dwight and some famous singers because they have their concerts here regularly. Other than the most advanced facilities and technologies, the huge LED high density screen is another focus, too.

Rain's world tour will begin from Dec 15 and 16 in S. Korea, followed by USA, China Mainland, Japan, HK, Taiwan... 35 shows in total to cover 12 countries. And RAIN has prepared for it!

ayayay. after talking with my sister for an hour last nite, di pa nga sink in until naisip ko na "hey w8, sabay pa kami nag agree na mgnda na yung seat na napili nya sa kin, SGD388. mahal pero parang yun na lang ang mgndang seat na mejo malapit sa stage, considering that the SGD688-888 are not for public sale. ewan ko lang kung bakt kc naitanong ko pa kung pwede ko magpasama either sa anak or asawa ko esp. kung tiger airways ang sasakyan ko, which is far off at clark pa. ayoko namang mag-isa kung ganun. my sister thought it would be a pity to leave immed after the concert, wla kming bonding. so she made me choose bet. the concert or xmas with the family where all 3 of us can have a 2wk holiday. kahit mahal ko i rain, di naman pwedeng mas manaig yun kesa sa pgmmhal ko sa family ko. naisip ko kc, kung di ako makawatch ng live perf niya, di naman mgttampo si rain sa akin. pero kung mas pinili ko siya, mgttmpo itong 2 sa kin.:( you're right. me chance pa. at sana m2loy siya dito sa atin.

06.11.01 Rain shows his caring for orphans, but the baby boy peeing on him?!

Global artiste RAIN is joining the photography exhibition of theme "Save and help the orphans".

"The Letter from Angels 4" which attended by Rain, was first started together by Korean Social Welfare Society and photographer Cao Shixuan (pinyin). This is the 4th year holding this event, to assist orphans in finding a new family to adopt them. The exhibition was meant to show love and caring.

Singer Rain is busy with his world tour yet once he was aware of the purpose of this event, i.e. to find a good family for these orphans, he agreed to participate.

Rain was arranged for photoshoot with a young baby who is less than 1 month old. Initially he even did not know how to hold the baby~~

According to the team, when the photoshoot was going to end, the baby suddenly peed on Rain's clothes! hapy. Probably he was not get used to the new environment .However, Rain was not annoyed, instead he said, "Hmm, child's pee is tonic and good..."

Super star RAIN (Jeong Jihun) has been misunderstood as gay during his activities in USA.

In SBS show program "HeyHeyHey Season 2" broadcasted on Nov 9, Rain was asked about his comments on gay. Thus, Rain talked about his experience when he went to USA.

Rain loved dancing since his high school. There was once he received a namecard written "Come dance!". Without thinking much he went to the club... In fact, it was a gay club.

Rain was not aware initially and he just danced happily with his friends. When he went to washroom, he noticed that the washroom was available for both guys and ladies, and he even saw a 'lady' with mini-skirt peeing...

On the other hand, similar experience in USA as well. One day, Rain wore a plain bracelet without any design and shopping around. There was a guy approaching him to show his 'interest' on Rain. Well, he thought Rain was gay, too.

Pepsi has invested in a KBS collaboration to build the biggest drama sensation in Asia for 2007. This serial drama is named and based on hit novel "The Furthest Distance" which was released simultaneously in 7 Asian countries. The drama starts filming in the spring of 2007 with main casts consisting of the superstars under Pepsi as well as popular artistes in Korea.

In SBS show program "HeyHeyHey Season 2" broadcasted on Nov 9, Rain was asked about his comments on gay. Thus, Rain talked about his experience when he went to USA.

Rain loved dancing since his high school. There was once he received a namecard written "Come dance!". Without thinking much he went to the club... In fact, it was a gay club.

Rain was not aware initially and he just danced happily with his friends. When he went to washroom, he noticed that the washroom was available for both guys and ladies, and he even saw a 'lady' with mini-skirt peeing...

On the other hand, similar experience in USA as well. One day, Rain wore a plain bracelet without any design and shopping around. There was a guy approaching him to show his 'interest' on Rain. Well, he thought Rain was gay, too.

They'll be guesting on a TV show in SBS "Hei hei hei" season 2, to be broadcasted in SK on Nov. 8. Seems both of them are promoting their latest showbiz activities - Rain, for his 4th Album and KHE, on her newest TV drama. :)

JH (claps hands): All right, let's start!

JH: (although a little tired now), but really well done. I think this will be a great piece of work.

JH: We should add some playful elements.

JH claps his hands and looks for the translator.

JH: Music starts, the two who turned just now should still turn. Can I ask, can everybody do that movement (raises his arm).

Translator: All knows how to do it.

JH: We'll start from there then.

JH (to translator): How do you say "Please" in Cuban? I'll like to know.

Translator teaches him.

Jihoon uses Cuban and said "Please". He bows.

Filming begins

JH (bends): Please tell them to rest for a while.

Director: Hold on, Jihoon rests first. All the others do it one more time, for the sound effect.

JH: Sound effect for which part?

Director: The dancing portion, and the cheering during the dance.

JH: We still need those?

Director: Don't need the camera, just the mike will do...

JH: I want to go too. I feel really bad just letting them do it.

Director: All right, let's simplify it then.

JH is with his dancers: One, two three four. Then one, two, three four, then the facial expression.

Dance troop leader: Is that a little too long?


On the streets, JH teaches Namyoung how to dance.

On the beach, sitting and resting. He keeps moving his body, swaying to the rhythm of the music.

Dance troop leader: Within 10, 20 minutes...

JH: Hold on...

Jihoon and the dance troop leader tries out a difficult and dangerous flip action

Dance troop leader: We'll end here. We have to do it very well, because Jihoon does it very well.

After some filming

JH: One more time, with only the sound effect.

JH: Too tired. Can't go on...

Director: Fighting!

JH (makes a funny face): Fighting! (Rayndrop: haha...that kid... )

Scene switches to interview

JH: When I wanted to become a singer, not a single person believed in me. All they said were, "ah, ok. Be one if you want." Nobody said "You'll be the best!" I guess that evoked my fighting spirit.

At the filming site. Jihoon sits and rest. He stands up forcefully and claps

JH: Let's begin!

Director: Action!

Jihoon dances. Suddenly he holds his neck and stops. The dance troop leader went to him and massaged his neck.

Director: Are you ok?

Namyoung pulls Jihoon to one side and sat down.

Jihoon holds in neck in silence...He turns his head painfully

JH (stands up): Director, let's begin.

Assistant: Hold up, there's something black on you.

Everybody cheers for him.

Jihoon still rotates his head quietly. But he held on to the wall for support and holds in neck, not moving. Finally, he lifted his head and makes and OK sign.

Interview scene
JH: Once I get on stage, I think, "Watch me. I'm the best. There wasn't sufficient time. I had to clench my teeth and persist on. Rather than saying it's because I'm a singer, it's more because of my strong will hanging on. Seems like I haven't presented my best side yet.

The filming site. Filming concluded with cheering. But he sits on the floor with his hands on his neck after walking a few steps.

JH: It's pride.

At the filming site

Jihoon collapse on the floor. His assistant used some ice on his neck. The dance troop leader walks up to him.

JH: A sense of pride to do it better than anybody else.

At the filming site

Dance troop leader: Jihoon, sit here. Sit for a while.

Dance troop leader pulls up a chair. He helps Jihoon onto the chair

Dance troop leader: Jihoon, sit on the chair.

Director: The close-up scene is ok already.

JH: No, we need to do it again.

Director: Are you all right? I saw the shots. They were ok.

JH (shakes his head): We'll pick it up from there.

Director: Rest for a while. Let your muscles relax.

JH: Let's start now.

Director: Rest a little first.

JH: I'll rest after we finish filming.

Director: Are you sure you're ok?
(Rayndrop: Aish! Stubborn, stubborn stubborn!!!!)

Jihoon holds the ice pack to his neck and looked at the shots

JH: Now my neck, because of I used a little brute force, it hurts a lot. But no matter until when, I have to do my best.

JH (talks about the scenes): There are three scenes here. This one is ok, this one is ok, and this expression is ok. This movement is ok, then the stepping part. There's too much dusts here. Once we put our foot down, the dusts starts flying (neck is stiff, his hands gesturing to illustrate the dance steps.)
JH: Director, we'll just film my leg movements.

Crew member: The leg movements been filmed already.

JH: Really? (Smiles bitterly) Thanks. We should have re-done that portion.

Director: After we finish this part, we need to do another two close-ups, then we're done.

Jihoon moves his neck with a painful expression on his neck.

He stands up and walk slowly to take his place.

Director: After we're done with this, we'll do the close-ups immediately.

JH: Then it's the close-ups, filming the smiling face...

Director: OK.

Filming in progress....

Jihoon sits down and rest. He looks at the shots, moving his neck in pain.

They continued filming. Jihoon takes a deep breath and did the smiling face close-up.

Director: OK?

Rain nods. He cheers with his partners in celebration

JH: You've worked hard.

Everybody takes a momento picture.

JH: I hope all of you like this biography. There are many new dance steps in his biography. I will work harder in the future. Fighting! Thank you!!

Jihoon bows, waves and then stands up. His hand full of dried cuttlefish strips. He put some in his mouth and pick up his beer can from the floor to take a sip.

JH (turns to photographer): Hey give me something to wipe this.

PH: Give me some. I haven't had any.

JH: (To director) There are two ways: If the vehicle drives up slowly, I'll knock on the window and chase after it. Or else like director says, I stand over there, the van approaches at fast speed, stops in the end and I get on.

Dir: Then you'll have to run a little more.

JH: Is the current method better, which do you think is better, director?

Dir: The one now.

JH to crew: Please tell them we’ll use the method now. I'll knock on the pane as I run after it, then I get on.

Continue filming

JH: (On the car) Is it more natural if I look this way?

Dir: Look ahead again

JH: Ahead? (Looks into rear mirror)

Dir: No, look this way first, then the other way

JH: OK

JH is resting

Q: What did you film today?

JH: Just now was on the part when I first reached Cuba. I hitchhiked on a car. It's negative degrees…Oh negative degrees (laughes, stick out tongue). I think it's about 35 degrees Celsius, very hot. But I will do my best and act well (Victory sign)

Female crew member in red talks about script

Crew member: The old grand-dad walks with you. You have to teach the children how to dance.

JH: Do I have to pleat my hair?

Crew member: It’s the same day.

JH: Why the same day?

Crew: This is the filming schedule for the 5th.

JH: I have to fix my hair on this day, don't I?

Crew: Yes, you have to do your hair, and you need the hat and stuff

JH is drinking

PH: Jihoon, hot? You're not hot? We're just starting, how do you feel?

JH: Onnie, you've changed line? Today's the first day of filming. It's very interesting, but the weather's kind of hot, this seems to be the only problem. Because the director and the crew's very nice, we'll definitely film the biography well. I’ll put in more effort into the filming.

PH: What did you do last night?

JH: Last night, I tried to smoke a cigar, and then I went to sleep.

PH; How's Cuba's cigar?

JH: Cuba's cigars are the best in the world, but because I don't smoke, so I can't really taste much.

PH: Really?

JH: Yup

PH: You've smoked the Cuban Cigar, and really feel that it is the best in the world?

JH: After smoking, there is a lingering taste on your lips (Licks lips) [Rayndrop: x_x]

PH: What's the taste like?

JH: There's a chocolatey taste, and a curious fragrance. Very nice.

PH: Let's smoke cigars together the next time?

JH: (Laughs) OK.

Q: Mahola, what do you think of Rain? Rain.

M: Beautiful

Q: Beautiful or suave?

M: Suave, like a man.

Q (to JH): Which part of you do you think is suave?

JH laughs, stretches his arms to show his "a little" (chuckles like a kid)

JH looks back at Nam Young, exclaims with miserable expression.

JH: Is Ra Myun nice?

Namyoung (lowers head): Jihoon, two.

JH: You ate two Ra Myun. Happy now?!

Namyoung hides behind female crew member.

JH: Yesterday I went to the canteen for meal, but my tummy was really hurting, very painful. So I only went in for a look. "You guys eating well?" I saw cuttlefish fried noodles and seafood fried noodles *Sulks*

PH: Fried noodles...ah...spicy one? *Drools*

JH: Onnie, you need to concentrate on filming. Don't shake.

JH: Ja Jiang Myun? Onnie, you gonna die from heat eating Ja Jiang Myun in this weather (Laughs)

PH:The stuff filmed now looks really good.

JH: Thanks. I’m done with it.

Q: Who are you calling?

JH: Family and friends.

Q: It’s Parents’ Day today?

JH: The truth is, I don’t believe in religions. However, when there’s something major, I’ll go to mum, to her grave, and ask for help. In the past, from my first to third album, I’ll always bring my albums there and ask for her help, and greet her at the same time. When I’m acting in drama serials, I’ll bring my scripts there and read it to her page by page. These are important. They’re my source of determination. I’ve gotten so much from my mum. To me, she is god.

Crew member styles JH’s hair. JH is taking pictures with a camera.

JH: One, two three

PH: Very artistic huh?

[B]JH looks smug. [/B]

JH: One, two three

After taking the photo, JH showed it to the photographer.

JH: Onnie, look at this for me. Does it look ok?

PH: Position…the picture looks very professional.

JH is touching up on his make-up. He signs an autograph for a fan.

JH (to fan in amazement): You know me?

JH: There’re singers only because there are fans, and vice versa. Similarly, there’s Rain only because there’re clouds, and there’re clouds only because there’s Rain. I’ve said this before: 10 years, 20 years down the road, when you’re sitting in a car, the rain will fall, droplet by droplet, and you’ll sigh with nostalgia, “Ah, 10 years ago, I once liked this singer called Rain.” How nice that would be! We will grow old together…30 years, 40 years later, I’ll say, “Hello, I’m Rain,” and the other person will say, “I used to like you the best!” Then again, you could be at home, gazing at the rain patter outside your window and suddenly be reminded of me. I think this is my best returns, the most valuable returns.

Cast everything to the back of my mind and embark on this journey alone.I don’t know what will happen; I can still feel some fear in my heart. Where will this road lead to? There will be an answer in my future. I have started on this long journey in order to seek the answer. If somebody asks me why I go on this journey alone, I will tell him, I want to walk on the pavement alone. And then, if I miss my friend, I will go look for my friend.
To find someone I know in this unfamiliar place,This is my greatest consolation.

Jihoon: Hello, I’m Rain. Where are you? I’m fine. Bye. Havana is even more beautiful at night than in the day. Perhaps this is the exact joy and freedom that I have lost. When all the different thoughts are crossing through my mind. The night of Havana has arrived.

Interview: Encounter

When there are strangers around, I feel a wall appear in front of me. Breaking down that wall is easy. Once that person walks towards me, I am open. There are those who I have become best friends with within a day; and there are those who I cannot get close to, even after one year, 10 years. There are situations, for example, when someone knows me through television, but I don’t know this person. If he/ she greets me, I will think “I don’t know you” and ignore that person. In the past, many misunderstandings had arisen because of this. Now, I have changed a lot. Now, if I meet people I know, I will take the initiative and greet the person.

If you are not popular, you just have to lower your head a little when greeting another person, people will praise and say you’re courteous. But when you are popular, if you do the same and lower your head, people will say you’re arrogant. I’ve encountered such misunderstandings before. So now, I’ve made it a habit to initiate a handshake while saying hello, or to look at the person in his/ her eyes when greeting the person. I like hugging, especially when it comes to people I am close to. A hug represents I love them, and that I am open to them.

People who are important in my life:

I feel that I have encountered good parents. In the past, my life at home was wealthy. However, when I was in secondary school, we had much difficulty, and came to a stage when we even had problems with food. When I was in primary school, my ambition was to become a president, a scientist…but in secondary school, I thought, although I am hungry now, but 10 years later, I will eat at a high-class restaurant, and live in a high-class residence. It is just nice 10 years since I’ve envisioned this thought during my secondary school days. Now, I have also planned for my next 10 years.

1. I met good parents. My parents raised me well. From young, they had strict demands on me, and set high benchmarks for me.

2. I met JY Hyung. He set the direction for me to proceed.

3. That should be the woman I will meet in the future, although I have not met her yet. My first love was a tragedy (he gave a bitter laugh). About a year ago, I received a call from my first girlfriend, asking me how I was. When I ended my first love, I was really heartbroken. Wasn’t such scenes played in movies as well? Drinking soju and throwing up wildly at the same time? I was like that once before. When I was young, it seems like I have done almost everything. From then on, I have never taken the initiative with women. Even when I meet good girls, the hurt from my first love was too painful, so I dare not devote myself 100 percent. There is always a feeling of distance. I will only put in half, thinking, “If you ditch me, I will be able to move on easily.” Now, I am starting to realize that this is wrong.

When I was young, I was very naughty. There was a competition when I was in primary 6. I didn’t really know how to dance much then. Because I really couldn’t stand by and look on, I stood out and signed up for the performance. I think my class got number 2 or 3 then, not the last in competition. I received plenty of applause. From then on, I began to fall in love with dancing.

At that time, I thought I shouldn’t be too anxious. Regardless of whether it’s 5 or 10 years, I will succeed. When I was in my first year in Junior College, whenever I see somebody who is popular, I’ll think “once I’m out there, that will be the end of all of you. I believed deeply that I will do well. So, for the sake of that 5 years, 10 years, I seized every single day to sing, dance and learn. Days become months and I joined a small boy band when I was in my third year. 5 years later, I released my first album. The debut of my album clashed with World Cup. I thought that was the end of every thing. Later, I wanted to change my main feature song. Jinyoung Hyung said, since this release is not successful, let’s just cheer on for the World Cup and start afresh in the second album. I said, “That will not do. If my first album doesn’t, then it’s all over. Please give me another chance, let me work hard at it again.” Suddenly it all exploded. The World Cup ended, and I began to make a climb up to become number 1 on the charts. I have cried painfully before because of this. I have come this far since that time.

My most excited moment was when I got the newcomer’s award. The second most exciting moment was when I got the Daesang Award, and the third most exciting was when I reached Hong Kong. At that time, I thought I’ve become a king. I felt very fortunate. Because of me, the crew members around me were getting good treatments. To me, that was the happiest thing.

Popularity is like bubbles; they may disappear tomorrow. Till now, I am yet a very good actor, nor a very good singer. I am just an idol singer. I’ve also given it much thought, about how I can become a good actor and a good singer. There is only one conclusion: Capabilities; capabilities that will never disappear. I want to become someone irreplaceable.

I want to become an enterpriser. Although I don’t know what the outcome will be like, but I think, as a man, I need to experience all sorts of things in the world. Even if I become a beggar tomorrow, lose my looks, I will still stand up again. I also want to have a taste of a different way to live. I want to have an experience at every thing, no matter what kind of company it is. Making hammers, producing chairs, anything. I want to succeed once as an entrepreneur. I have the confidence.

Q: Moments when you feel you are young?

JH: During the photography sessions. Sometimes I wonder when will my potbelly appear, and when will my chest start to sag…Ah, not yet for now. These few days, I’ve also been thinking, just a while ago, I was still in my early-20s. Not too long ago, I was 19. In a few months time, I will be in my mid-20s, and a few years later, I’ll be in my late-20s. It’s really a little…how time flies!

Q: Do you feel it’s a pity?

JH: That, no. If only time will stop when I’m 30 years old. Isn’t 30 years old the age when you can see something with a look in your eyes with age and wrinkles? Now that’s attractiveness.

Q: What kind of friends do you have around you?

JH: I don’t hang around with my friends too much. I am usually with the crew members, dancers and my personal assistant. There are two friends who I treasure dearly. I don’t meet with the rest often. I’m happy and comfortable with my dancers, because they understand me.

Q: What do you guys do?

JH: We find a famous restaurant or go surfing. When we’re overseas, we go to a restaurant or club that’s popular locally. Most people are shocked when I tell them this. They assume I’ll go to hotels, those high-class hotels for drinks, but that’s not the case. All I need is a chicken and a bottle of beer. As we chat along, all kinds of rebuttals surfaces “You didn’t do this right”, “Hyung, that’s not a big deal”, and the atmosphere’s really good.

Q: A little side story about looks and age

JH: Sometimes I look old, and sometimes I look like a kid. When I was in secondary 3, I was “tackled” (wooed) by a girl from University year 1. When I was living in sinchon (?), I was practicing my dance then. Dancers usually dress better than those who are older. Isn’t there one expensive suit of clothing which you only wear during special days? That you only wear on weekends I was playing with my friends then, and a few female university students came over. They were “hunting”.

Q: Three things you wanted to do most when you were 20.

JH: First thing: To experience an intricate love relationship
My mentor, Park Jinyoung, once said, only when you experience a devastating love before, then will you not feel regretful later in your life. I’m not too sure about that yet.

Second thing: If I can afford it, it’s ok even if I cannot afford it, even if it’s not mine, I want to drive a good sports car just once. Even if it’s not mine, even if it’s borrowed, it’s ok. I don’t have much desire when it comes to car. But I just want to drive a good sports car for once, regardless of whether it’s expensive or not.

Third thing: Even if I fail, even if I go bankrupt, I want to give a shot and work hard at something that I am passionate about.

I think I’ve experienced number three, but not number one and two yet.

Q: Your favourite moments when you are dancing

JH: All the time when I am performing onstage. It’s different from acting. In that 3 minutes and 40 seconds when I am singing, everybody is focused on me. I can express myself to others freely. When I capture the eyes of audiences, I feel that the audiences are following me in spirit. It’s that 3 minutes and 40 seconds, when I am happiest and most exhausting for me. Why exhausting? Because I want to do my very best. Even though it may be very painful, but I must still bend my bones more and more. It’s very painful. It is a kind of pain.

Q: Are you referring to the time when you sprained your neck while dancing in Cuba?

JH: Yes, that’s it. Although it hurts, but I must still persist on.

Q: Some people commented that your dancing is better than your singing.

JH: Honestly, in this difficult world, it is already good to receive recognition for dancing.
Q: Don’t you feel regretful?

JH: If everybody feels that Rain’s dancing is unbeatable, then everything would be over. But acting is not like that. Some people said “this person acts very well”, another may say, “That person’s good”, “That’s not acting”, everybody has their opinions. When it comes to dancing, I can guarantee. Not everybody in Korea will say that “Rain dances well”, but they will definitely say, “Rain tries very hard.” I cannot ascertain if I do dance well; perhaps there is someone else who dances better than me, but I’ve already done my best, and sacrificed a lot of sleeping time to practice. Just based on “working hard”, I believe I won’t lose to anyone.

Q: Bi feels that the best dancer is?

JH: I think the best dancer is Michael Jackson. Nobody can be compared to him. He is the real emperor, he is king. I also imitate him in my dancing. Many US singers are also using Jackson’s dance steps now, mimicking his dance and songs.

Q: Deepest memory with regards to singing and dancing?

JH: I’ve danced through three days and nights before, rested for a day, then another three days and nights through. When I was a choreographer (right at the beginning), because of Park Ji Yoon’s “Moonlight Tune” (?). It was the first time Jinyoung Hyung assigned me to do anything. I was a partner; we will dance together and I was to do the choreography alone. In one week, a jobless child, a child who just graduated from High School has completed the choreography. That was a project that took 6 sleepless nights to complete. I put my hand on my chest and guarantee, I only slept 12 hours, no, not even 12 hours, only 10 hours. During this time, I didn’t just dance. After we dance, I had to sit around for 3 hours. That feeling is really terrible. Because I went through all those, the experience really helps me now.

Q: The hard work put into choreography or preparing for a character

JH: I think I am like this: someone once told me, if there is a lack of preparation, my hands will shake. If I work through a few nights to prepare, I will gain self-confidence and I’ll relax. People who don’t prepare will never succeed. And also, you need to sleep less than others. I slept more than others in my schooling days, but I’ve never slept more than others when it comes to dancing. I can only have self-confidence if I’m well-prepared. So no matter where I go, I will never begin without properly preparing for it. To me, that is self-responsibility.

Q: Are you happy now?

JH: Very happy and very miserable. No matter what, I’ve realized my first dream, so I’m very happy. In order to fulfill my second dream, there are often crossroads in front of me which requires me to make a decision. The steps of such decision-making make me worried, exhausted and quite miserable. So very often, I consider what I want to express in the future and how I should express them…I shouldn’t be afraid of failure. Although there is some residual fear, but I must forget them quickly. Only then can I achieve greater success.

On his upcoming movie "Cyborg but it's ok' which will be shown next month,He visited the filming site of the Movie "Hwang jini" which Song hyegyo is starring in,and gave her a lunchbox.

Rain made/prepared the food himself and went to The filming location at Yong-in Kyonggido,On 10th of november 11pm.

Everyone was eating snack at the moment when Rain arrived,and greeted the staff and handed the bag(food) to Song hyegyo.

The staff specially the girls who were there were envious of SHG,as a sign of appreciation and thank's SHG accompany Rain to the parking lot.

Lately, Rain and Song Hye Kyo's frequent contact has renewed a round of rumours. Media and viewers alike have been guessing if the mystery girl mentioned by Rain is indeed Song.

In Korea, singers don't just sing to make a living any more. They try hard to map out a career cycle as entertainers, with the arch usually taking them into acting ventures of varying success. In soap operas particularly, some acquit themselves well. Others, however, provoke derision from Korea’s merciless Netizens for the way they flounce and pout around the sets.
In fact, the majority of soap leads are played by singers today. The Chosun Ilbo asked 14 writers and producers of hit dramas who the best and worst of the bunch are. We asked them to rank the top three in each category by giving three points to the best, two to the second best and one to the third.

Among men, famously ambitious Rain came top with a score of 29 for appearances in “Full House” and “A Love to Kill.” Praise was fulsome. "He successfully appeals to the public with his ability to express feelings in a sympathetic way and by making the transition from singer to actor very naturally,” one panel member enthused. "He’s a jewel. It would have been such a loss if he hadn’t decided to act.” In second was Kim Chang-wan with 13 points, followed by Kim Dong-wan with 10 points and Lim Chang-jung with 9. Mun Jeong-hyeok or Eric, who landed in fifth with 8 points, got mixed reviews. Some said he was “taking full advantage of his pretty face and ability as an entertainer." Others were less kind.

Among women, Jung Ryoe-won came top thanks to her part in “My Name is Kim Sam-soon.” Jung "is able to reflect her own natural image into the role she plays in the drama," one panelist said. If you look closely at her eye movement, tempo, breathing and reactions to her partners, you can see that she studies the script really hard.” Uhm Jung-hwa came second with 17 points and Eugene in third with 12. Uhm is said to be able to play a wide range of parts, have a lively spirit as an actress and act very naturally. Eugene drew favorable responses thanks to her fluent dialect in the drama “I Really Really Like You” broadcast this year. She was praised for speaking dialect very well, which is not easy at all.

Overall, Rain came top with 27 points, followed by Uhm Jung-hwa with 14, Jung Ryeo-won with 12, and Lim Chang-jung with 11.

Who, then, is the worst singer-turned-actor? Seong Yu-ri held the sorry title with 21 points, followed by Lee Hyo-lee with 14, Park Jung-ah with 13, Kangta with 8, and Eric again with 5. Seong, our panelists said delicately, "has starred in several dramas but still has a long way to go.” Lee Hyo-lee, who was featured in the drama “Three-Leaf Clover,” was denounced as woefully miscast. The glamour girl “did not suit the character of a factory worker,” they said. In Park’s case, the difference between the singer’s image and her soap character was also judged too glaring.

For Rain, 'Cyborg' may prove a stepping stone to world fame

SEOUL, Dec. 6 (Yonhap) -- Rain may be taking a gamble playing a psychiatric patient for his big-screen debut, but the Korean singer-actor, currently on a world tour, is steadily reinventing himself as he prepares to flood the world stage.

"This will be a new image of me," he told Yonhap News Agency at a downtown cafe in Seoul.

"If I had to pick one, the image of me in the movie is closer to who I really am than the Rain you see on the singing stage."
Rain will debut in "I'm a Cyborg, But That's Okay," directed by Park Chan-wook and set for local release on Thursday. In light of Park's success with "Old Boy," which picked up the Grand Prix at Cannes two years ago, the movie is almost certain to get a worldwide release, something Rain hopes will raise his standing in global terms.

"Now I feel that I have taken the first step," he said. "To me, the issue was that the director was Park Chan-wook. He was the director I liked as a fan, and with whom so many actors wanted to work. I thought there would definitely be things he could teach me (as an actor)."
Ranked among Time's 100 most influential figures this year, Rain has been a superstar in Asia with four albums and three hit TV dramas under his belt, but his star quality hasn't translated into global appeal.

His sold-out shows at the Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City in February received mixed reviews that pinned him down as a star with more local than universal attraction. His storied past as a struggling backup dancer with a poor family has shadowed his career. Now, at 25, he is finally transcending his past and his homeland with the leap to the silver screen.

Playing a psychiatric ward patient in "Cyborg" required him to shed his onstage persona and appear blank and inexpressive in a bulky white gown. His character, incarcerated for his anti-social behavior that developed after his mother deserted him, falls in love with a girl who believes she is a cyborg, played by Lim Soo-jung.

Despite his commended acting in South Korean TV dramas, Rain, who uses his real name Jeong Ji-hun for the film, said he had some headaches acting for the big screen.

"The reason it was so difficult was because, you know, you look sad when you're sad, you laugh when something is funny - but the director wasn't happy."
"I asked him how I should act, and he said, 'You are sad, but you shouldn't be sad.' I asked, 'Wouldn't it be better to show some sign of tears?' He said, 'No, maybe not.' But I did well-up in one scene. It was declared an NG at the time, but he used it, maybe because my feelings were genuine."
Rain was referring to a scene where his character looks at the cyborg's scrawny, naked body as she refuses to eat. He finally gets her to swallow a sthingyful of rice by inventing a tool that transforms food into energy.

Park said that casting Rain totally changed the dynamic of the film. What was originally intended to be an experimental and low-budget affair ended up needing rewrites and more cash to fit his star persona.

"I initially thought of this film as one of my HD projects, or something in-between," Park said at a recent press screening, "But that idea was thrown out because Jeong Ji-hun was cast."
Rain's caring, supportive role in the film fits with his kind image, but not with his reputation as a self-made man who trains mercilessly to stay on top. When starting out, he famously plastered his bedroom walls with inspirational mottos like "You will fall the moment you relax."
Fortunately, mentor and singer Park Jin-young was there to provide a safety net after his first high-school band collapsed. Park, a famous singer himself, spotted the young back-up dancer at an audition and decided to mentor him. The result? Rain's debut album "Bad Guy" came out in 2002.

But his past refused to sink quietly into the background. He broke down while accepting the top prize at the KBS annual music awards in 2004 while paying tribute to his mother, who died from complications of diabetes before his album came out. More tears followed at a concert in January 2005. Stories about his impoverished family circulated.

Not that the rumor-mongers hampered his success. Rain was the first Asian to hold a concert at the U.S. prestigious Madison Square Garden, and his fourth album "Rain's World" was released across Asia last month. He now has world tour commitments in Seoul, Las Vegas and Singapore among others.

"Cyborg" co-star Lim says his success is a product of hard graft and intense self-discipline.

"He's really tough on himself," Lim said. "While shooting the film, he had to practice singing and dancing while juggling schedules abroad, but still when it came time to shoot, he became Il-sun (his character) and got totally immersed in it, which wouldn't be possible if he weren't so focused."
With his trademark charm, washboard abs and slender, yet muscular body not on show in the movie, Rain's staking everything on his ability to act -- and Park's ability to direct.

"Like everybody knows, he's really famous in Europe and elsewhere. He's really a world-renowned director, so hopefully our movie will be screened widely overseas."

ayayay. im getting disappointed with what seems to be a news blackout. i already felt that with the long silence after the kimbap incident. but i was too ecstatic yday after badette sent me an sms abt the cyborg preem with shk attending. and when i saw the pics, yup i was positive one of the attendees was indeed her. now what’s with the WHERE’S SHK IN THE PREEM? where did she sit? did she leave rt away?

this is jmho: had she indeed seated herself beside bi, then the press would be hyped over them than the movie and its lead actors instead. so could shk have taken that into consideration? she could have, knowing that our shk is polite, prim and proper. she wouldnt want to steal the scene from isj, most probably. i may be wrong but anyways, still hoping for sthg brighter and splendid. i was keeping my fingers crossed our bikyo would be having a wonderful christmas together. ayayay. im getting disappointed with what seems to be a news blackout. i already felt that with the long silence after the kimbap incident. but i was too ecstatic yday after badette sent me an sms abt the cyborg preem with shk attending. and when i saw the pics, yup i was positive one of the attendees was indeed her. now what’s with the WHERE’S SHK IN THE PREEM? where did she sit? did she leave rt away?

this is jmho: had she indeed seated herself beside bi, then the press would be hyped over them than the movie and its lead actors instead. so could shk have taken that into consideration? she could have, knowing that our shk is polite, prim and proper. she wouldnt want to steal the scene from isj, most probably. i may be wrong but anyways, still hoping for sthg brighter and splendid. i was keeping my fingers crossed our bikyo would be having a wonderful christmas together. basta it has something to do with the Cloud fans ordering the ticket...they paid for their seats but was able to secure another set of better seats and they want a refund of the first payment..ewan ko pa ano mangyayari...ang gulo dun...ung Bangkok concert marami ding RainSg members na pupunta, isa na ko don kaso biglang may work sa FEb 3 so di na ko pwede...Feb 3 kasi alis ng mga members for the concert...haaay...nalulungkot na ko kasi mukhang Sg concert lang mapupuntahan ko e gusto ko sanang ma-experience ung crowd sa ibang bansa..ung Malaysian concert naman nagchange na ng venue...grabe...magulo pa pero malapit na ung concerts....this weekend na ung Seoil concert..waaah..i wanna go kaso uuwi nga ako ng pinas...eto nga at nasa airport na ko at nakiki-internet...libre e...

i am so saddened abt seoul concert tickets not selling well inspite of bringing the prices down. i thought everything's coming up roses for bi's fluorishing career, what with the box office hit, cyborg. wazzup? i know for sure he isnt to be blamed for all these. all the poor guy ever does is to better his craft everytime, and he's breaking every bone in his body just to make his concert worth watching. aigoo!
