got the pix sa popcornfor2 and this coming october pa ako mag-oorder sa hmv kasi baka pag ngayon masama sa cut off nung credit card. Kaya nga di pa ko bumibili kasi wait din ako ng Korean version pero read sa soompi na di maglalabas ng Korean version because of copyright issue. Pagnakabili na ako post ko na lang dito. Mag-oorder din ako ng Pure photobook ni Kim Rae Won, mas cheaper sya kasi walang kasamang dvd.

Singer Rain will invite some 40,000 fans to a concert free of charge ahead of his world tour slated for December. The organizers of Rain's tour said the concert will take place October 13 at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul and that its repertoire and scale will be the same as those of the singer's world tour.

Rain's world tour, entitled "Rain's Coming," is the largest project in scale among worldwide tours ever given by a Korean artist. Rain will perform in major cities of 12 countries, including the United States, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, China and Korea, over a period of five months. The organizers said Rain's upcoming tour will be on par with Madonna's latest tour in terms of scale.

The production crew of Rain's tour will include several high-profile figures, such as choreographer Jamie King, who produced Madonna's "Confession Tour" and choreographed for Britney Spearsand Christina Aguilera, and world-renowned concert director Dago Gonzales.

According to the organizers of the tour, the purpose of Rain's free-of-charge concert in Seoul is to express the singer's gratitude to his domestic fans ahead of his concerts overseas, because they are the ones who always supported him. The singer will also hold a fund-raising campaign at the concert to help physically challenged people. The audience will be invited to donate as much money as they want for the cause.

Tickets to Rain's concert will be distributed free of charge nationwide beginning late this month.

am just so into loving rain more by reading this. i feel so proud of him. his fellow koreans should feel more proud of him bec. not only will they be given this free treat, they will be hand-in -hand with rain in this charitable cause. even if i feel so sad that my country isnt a part of the tour anymore, i just hope and pray that i will be able to see him in one of these asian countries, God-willing. singapore or hk perhaps. keeping my fingers crossed.

so i guess the 40,000 korean fans will get the topmost priority in this huge undertaking. they not only get to see rain perform live, for free, but to be instrumental in helping the handicapped. such a nice thought. that's what i love abt bi. so many fans think that cloud japan always get the best out of rain. he's been going to and fro in that country for fan meets, celebrate his bday with them, promote his japanese single cds and guest in tv shows several times. but look what he's done now. he took his korean fans into consideration before embarking on this huge concert elsewhere. i feel so proud. shouldnt a korean fan feel more proud? what more?

these past 2 days, minarathon ko ang SANGDOO GOES TO SCHOOL (dvd9) and i should admit, that storywise and actingwise, this is rain's best. shinowcase nya ang acting talent niya both for comedy and drama at tlgang dun sa last 5 epis: 12-16, halos namaga na mga eyeballs ko from incessant crying. makabagbag dmdamin/gripping/heartbreaking ang mga scenes ni sangdoo with cha bori; yung pagtatagpo ng mag-ina (lola and mama ni cha bori); yung pagkarekindle ng love ni sangdoo sa 1st love niya. and take note pagsamahin ba ang 2 of korean hearthrobs na sina rain and lee dong gun. champion din mga eksena nila together. ang galing. grabe. this series wasnt given the right timeslot considering maganda ito. kaya lang nga, FH catapulted rain to superstardom but i think Sangdoo (all for love title dito) deserves a 2nd look. you've got to see it for yourself. ang isang reason din (accg to my friends) why this didnt make it as big as FH is ayaw nila si Gong kc di kagandahan and we know very well that up to this time, si Song ang nananatiling undisputed fave onscreen (at sana off-) din for rain. ang sad lang nga of all the series ni rain, itong Sangdoo lang ang walang direc. cut dvd. but at least lahat ng rain drmas ko are already in dvd formats. be sure to get FH and L2K direc. cut to enjoy the ngs and bts. nakakatuwa kc pag ganun. yung sangdoo sa dvd9 pa lang tlga.

thx so much. im tremendously enjoying this album. have listened for the 3rd time, nonstop. i love the stylish bi in this album. love the way he pronounces his english lyrics and there is certainly no doubt that he sings in japanese very well. i believe that not just bec. i am a fan but cuz my daughter says so and she has been into japanese songs since she became an anime fanatic more than 8yrs ago. now i appreciate japanese songs after hearing rain sing japanese really well. back then the only japanese song i like was the theme song of Voltes 5. hehehe . my daughter could sing that by heart. oh i almost forgot that we used to sing the theme from DORAEMON together, as well. bec. of Bi, i appreciated japanese songs so much better. reason why i love the theme song of takuya kimura's GOOD LUCK. it is superb. thx to Bi for that. my daughter loves SAD TANGO AND SLOWLY a lot. just wondering why they didnt incl. SLOWLY in this cd. i just love Freeway and Move On and well, other songs like Without You and Bec. of You. however, cant get used to the remix verson of Freeway. i prefer the orig. version.

cant wait to hold the actual cd in my hands. i love the cd cover. i was told that the cd might come with a promotional poster but stricltly on a 1st come-1st serve basis. geez, cant wait to queue up.have to be there when the store opens anyway the mall opens at 10am, so not bad. just hoping it wont be this coming weekend cuz we have relatives coming from abroad and that wouldnt be good timing to go to the record bar. shush. such a sad thought.

Next week na nga ba ang release ng Eternal Rain? I didn't know that. :o Ang alam ko lang magiging bonga ang promo nito unlike It's Raining and Rain's Drama Sountrack. Me budget na kasi for Rain. hehe. I think he's one of the priority artists of MCA Universal for the Asia-Pacific region now.

However... I think we should go easy on the criticisms toward ABS CBN's handling of ALTK kasi I think ABS would be the media partner for Eternal Rain's promo (though I'd like to believe that it's because of MYX and not ABS CBN per se).

Next week na nga ba ang release ng Eternal Rain? I didn't know that. :o Ang alam ko lang magiging bonga ang promo nito unlike It's Raining and Rain's Drama Sountrack. Me budget na kasi for Rain. hehe. I think he's one of the priority artists of MCA Universal for the Asia-Pacific region now.

However... I think we should go easy on the criticisms toward ABS CBN's handling of ALTK kasi I think ABS would be the media partner for Eternal Rain's promo (though I'd like to believe that it's because of MYX and not ABS CBN per se).

how did you do it ba? most of the fanlistings require membershp so you need to register 1st to be able to d/l anythg from their websites. after successful registrtn, you can now access all you wantd to know abt rain, from NEWS, TO PHOTOS, TO FILES, TO MULTIMEDIA (incl. the songs you like. most of them have the tracks to all his albums and even the lyrics you can save as your documents. working yung mga yun most esp sa Sexy Bi, soompi, purelyrain atbp. i vist these sites daily and get my daily updates from there. most of my media files like videos, mp3s atbp, i get from soompi.

JYPE 2006 Family Tea Party - May your love continue on 29 April 2006

The first time I read the announcement about the selection of committees for THE CLOUD, I felt a little bit familiar but could not remembered where I read the same article before.

I was one of the foreign fan attending this JYPE Family Tea Party on 29 April 2006. Since my computer crushed last week and just fixed up. So, I clipped through the file and found some points mentioned in 'The selection of THE CLOUD official website' are exactly the same as my report sent to JYPE before (I can show to anyone if they are interested).

I should be happy because JYPE accepted my ideas but they select the local fan to help the club rather than the foreign fan. It sounds like THE CLOUD is still belongs to Korea, not international or global. For sure, I have a little bit disappointed about their decision.

I am one of Rain fans in the world and waiting for the international fan club for long in order it can arrange everything in a fair manner, no perception or bias.

I hope THE CLOUD can do this and will do this.

Three years of hellish training behind closed doors. He gave up his family, his friends, his favourite food, chances to go overseas. He tore his life into two parts: One half dedicated to singing, the other half to dancing. This was the life Rain went through before he became a pop sensation, and it is still ongoing now.

If you ask Rain why, he'll tell you, he has given his life up to someone that year when he was 16. That person is his teacher, Park Jinyoung. This person, who is known in Korea as the Godfather of Hip hop, was once a famous singer like Rain. He was good at dancing and composing. Today, he has another identity which is just as successful--A producer. The day before, he arrived as a professional judge at a local talentine competition, and talked about his secret recipe on making stars.

Discovering Rain...

His eyes were so sincere.

JY Park has been carefully grooming Rain since he picked out the 16-year-old out during an audition. Three and a half years of training behind closed doors, devoting more than 20 hours each day. To any producer, this is definitely not something that you can describe with a simple word, "job". He told the journalists of his determination to shape a global superstar, "I wanted someone like Michael Jackson".

So what exactly did Rain possess for JY Park to make such a decision? "There were many kids dancing and singing that day, but you could see him with one look. It wasn't anything but the look in his eyes. Not one kid had that kind of sincerity he had in his eyes. It was the look of someone standing at the edge of a cliff, like he was pleading for someone to save him", said JY Park.

Despite sounding so incredible, to JY Park who gave the same amount of hard work in order to succeed, he fully understood the kind of grilling and pain an artiste need to go through in order to rise to super-stardom. If you didn't have enough desire burning within you, you'll never have the determination to finish walking through this path. "What I value is the wants and desires of a person." He confessed he didn't want to risk giving the chance and waste his time on a kid who is just fooling around.

Creating Rain...

Hand your life over to me.

Many gold award-winning producers always say the same thing when they first meet a newbie, "This is just the beginning." JY Park added another sentence to that, "I can make you a star, but can you hand your life over to me?"

This is not a joke. After he gave his nod of agreement, the next thing Rain had to do was to give up everything that was originally in his life. He couldn't see his family; he had no friends; he couldn't go travelling with friends like people of his age are doing; he even gave up all the food he loved. From dusk to dawn, he had only one thing in his life, and that was, using JY Park's words, "prepare to become a singer."

Is this kind of a lifestyle too heavy a burden for a 16-year-old? JY Park told the journalists that even he was surprised sometimes at how this child can just take it all quietly, without making a decent protest even once.

"Will he simply turn into a machine that sings?" Certainly, those who love Rain will have this worry after finding out about this three and a half year he went through. Perhaps Rain can answer for this with his confession during his concert--that day he said, he wanted so much to sing a song for his mother who has passed on, and he wanted so much to share a picture of his mother with everyone. But having gone through all the drawers in his house, he only found some pictures of his mother on the sick bed. "I think mother will want everyone to see how she looks when she is healthy, so I didn't bring any pictures." In the end, he sang this song, charged with emotions. Due to his rebellious days when he was young, there was a barrier between his father and him. But that night, he also invited his father to the concert sincerely.

Anticipate Rain...

He'll need to learn Chinese if he wants to go further.

Rain has succeeded, and is walking towards the global stage like JY Park said he would. he held a concert in the US in February this year. Despite the harsh critics in New York Times and New York Daily, this is an indication of the attention casted on Rain. Presently, he is busy preparing himself for his Global Concert Tour when he will perform in 12 different countries all over the world.

"Honestly, at first I've thought that Rain may disappear after three to five years, but the truth is indeed telling a different story. Because of this, he has made me think a lot," said JY Park. From what he can see, the answer seems to lie in Rain's unique character, "i've studied many singers. A lot of them are lacking in character. No matter how outstanding they are, they go out of fashion very quickly. This is a very realistic issue."

If he wants to continue going towards the global stage, JY Park says Rain still have much homework to do. One of the most important part is to learn Chinese, "US and China are part of the future world. These are the two languages which any Asian of this new generation must learn. Rain is already working hard on them."

"There are two kinds of stars: One is the charismatic kind; the other the kind whom others respect and look up to." Before the interview came to a conclusion, JY Park had this to say: As a "mentor", he frequently has discussions with Rain on the topic of the next path he should take. He believes Rain has his own way of thinking.

Mauulit pa yung meeting, definitely. Habang lumalapit ung launch, shempre maraming preparasyon. Officially walang organized Rain fan club ang Pilipinas ngayon so we really have to double the effort para makita naman ng JYPE at MCA Music na meron talagang fan base si Rain dito na handang sumuporta sa kanya.

As for the concert, I really don't know. But according to our Korean contacts, nasa list pa rin ng countries for the world tour ang 'Pinas.

As for the concert, I really don't know. But according to our Korean contacts, nasa list pa rin ng countries for the world tour ang 'Pinas.

3. She mentioned the request for assistance of MCA Music from Rain fans in regards the release of Eternal Rain in the Philippines in October 2006. Since the current management of MCA Music has expressed confidence in Rain, they have made him a priority artist, hence promotional activities will be more intense than that of It’s Raining.

4. A meeting between MCA Music and representatives of Rain’s fans will be set the following week to discuss possible promotional activities and strategies for Eternal Rain. Among the suggestions that we shall present to MCA are the following:

• a. Inclusion of promotional freebies in the album, such as DVD or AVCD of Rain’s promotional videos, postcards, posters;

• b. Setting up of a billboard in EDSA (the biggest and busiest high-way in Metro Manila) and other possible strategic points in the country;

• c. Seeking the assistance of companies where Rain is an endorser (Pepsi, Giordano, LG) and television networks where Rain’s drama series were aired;

• d. Manual distribution of posters and fliers to stores and malls, Korean communities, campuses, etc;

• e. Spreading the word via word of mouth and through the various Rain sites, particularly the local official representative website of Cloud;

• f. Request to radio stations and music video networks like MTV and MYX to air Rain’s singles and music videos;

• g. Encouraging the public to purchase the album from Odyssey record stores, since this is where MCA Music is gauging the sales performance of their releases.

5. It was then agreed that another general meeting shall be arranged after the representatives have met with the marketing people of MCA Music to relay the results of the discussion.

Action Plan: all members then agreed that if they have other suggetions they will send an email to events@cloudphilippines.com (events@cloudphilippines.com) .


Agenda 2: Re-organization of Rain’s official representative website and fan club in the Philippines


6. The second agenda was presided by Ms. Rizza Centeno, administrator of the new website, www.cloudphilippines.com. (http://www.cloudphilippines.com./)

7. She explained the situation in the Philippines at present where there is no representative website for Rain as the most prominent website and fan group had closed down on 11 September 2006.

8. She further explained the urgency to build a new website due to the following reasons:


• a. The promotion of Eternal Rain; and
• b. The formal opening of Global Cloud on 13 September 2006;
• c. The need to unite all Rain fans and fan groups in the Philippines into one official group.

9. Since the aim of the group is to unite all Rain fans in the Philippines, she announced that all positions for online and offline staff are open, except for two: (1) the contact person for MCA Music; and (2) the administrator of the website. However, she noted that the administrator position may change in the future, should the present one be indisposed, or has decided to pursue other interests.

10. For the official website, she informed the attendees that the JYPE Cloudmaster has approved the use of the name cloudphilippines.com. She also informed the group that the forum is already up and running.


11. She then announced that volunteers are needed for the following positions:

• a. 10 moderators for the forum
• b. graphics and web designers for the website and forum banner

Those interested should inform the administrator via email.

She further explained that for the meantime, four volunteers are working on the site while it is under development. However, those who shall volunteer for the online staff can gain administrative access in the future.



12. She then encouraged all who are present to inform their fellow Rain fans in their respective fan sites about the new website and fan club. Everyone was also encouraged to keep the flow of discussions in the forum active.

13. For the fan club, she explained that an offline staff shall also be created to perform duties and functions related to activities related to Rain and in maintaining the group in general. The online staff shall be different from the offline staff.

14. She assured everyone that transparency shall be enforced in the group. An accounting shall be done in cases where money shall be involved and all minutes of meetings and financial statements shall be posted on the forum for everyone to read.

15. She further assured the group of equality in whatever privileges and opportunities that shall be presented to the group in the future, such as access to exclusive Rain-related events in the Philippines.

16. After seeking for suggestions and inquiries, the meeting was adjourned at 9:00pm.

Action Plan:

well, the SHinhwa, Westlife and the future Lee Hom concert all costs 170SGD for the most expensive seats...in the front are and the immediate arena area..
daming seats pero the best sa front....so far di pa klo nakakaupo sa front area but the arena area is okay naman..malapit din naman sya kung tutuusin...but this is in the SIS (Singapore Indoor Stadium)....

kapag mag-a-ala Robbie Williams si Rain at sa National Stadium (na pagkalaki-laki) sya magcoconcert ay medyo mahal yan...actually mahal talaga sa National Stadium and most concerts are in the SIS kasi nag may bubong....

pero para sa akin, kahit SGD 500 (=15,000 pesos) pa ang pinakaharap ay malilipagpatayan ako sa pagbili ng tikets kasi gusto ko ung abot kamay na si Rain kapag manonood ng concert nya....kung hindi palarin magiipon na lang ako papuntang Korea at iistalk ko sya....hahahaha.....

hay salamat naman kung ganun. i dont post anymore in their forums after the last telecast of L2K altho i still do at asianfanatics. i think i saw my friend's post at CP forums. am happy abt that. am also looking fwd to meeting him in person cuz he started out as a non-rain fan b4 L2k and ended up as one of his avid fans. cant forget how he made me mad that i cried and even got sick due to that (started out as rain's enemy and he ended up as my friend)

As you all know, we conducted a poll as to which is the most convenient time for everyone. The majority’s preference for the meeting is Saturday but the time preference is tied. So in order to accommodate everyone, we have adjusted the time to 5:00 PM instead.

If you are going to volunteer for staff position or nominating someone, kindly make sure that you and/or the person you are nominating have free time for the post-shift meeting (especially Friday / Saturday nights) and that you could always check your e-mails. <>

Once again, here are the staff positions that needs to be filled.

Actually, doc, we were told that we SHOULD buy from other record stores, not Odyssey. They didn't specify why, but I think the record label has a small internal prob with Odyssey.

hello everybody. wow it's 12:49am and i cant sleep. excted over the release of ETERNAL RAIN 2day, probably. guess what? why does no one from odyssey or tower seem to know of this? called up both odyssey metropolis and tower atc in alabng and i seem to be talking greek. anyways, here's what's funny, the girl from tower records put me on hold to say she was going to check. then when she spoke again, she said there is no INTERNAL RAIN cd in their database. i almost rotflmao cuz honestly, wala tlgang ganun title. :D but i dont want to embarrass her any further. nag Thk You na lang ako. just asked a favor from both record outlets to give me a call or text kc nagpapagawa kmi ng bubong, kisame and kitchen. di ako makaeskapo.

this in non-bi related but i still hope to share this esp. among koreanovela addicts like myself and most ppl here.

i have never seen the likes of this korean actress who played the villainess. to me she is the scariest. i admit to sometimes seeing SADAKO in her. she was maniacal, demonic, obsessed and yes, really MEAN. sayang, she is so pretty, even prettier than the lead actress even.

prettysara, unnie, yup tama ka. super krung2 na nga yata ako sa koreanovela addiction ko. pero guess what? yday, i saw, loved and cried at takuya kimura's j-dorama GOOD LUCK. super ganda tlga. now i have a japanese idol na din. dati kc me taiwanese, c JY. then me koreans: bi, ksw, ldg, ljj, atbp. now me addtl asian uli sa list. yun lang nga, koreanovelas in dvd9 formats are easily available compared to j-doramas.

Singer Rain (Bi) is gathering fan club members internationally.

With the 'World Tour Premiere' concert coming up on October 13th, JYP Entertainment is gathering fan club members through the company's official community website 'Joy Place.'

Rain (Bi) will be accepting applications from Japan, China, America, Europe, and others throughout a total of 12 countries for the fan club through the 'Joy Place' corner named 'The Cloud' until October 13th.

A JYP Entertainment personnel commented, "There have been more than 1,000 fans that have purchased the tour package that includes attending the World Tour Premiere concert. Considering these numbers, we believe the actual number applications we receive for the fan club will exceed our expectations."

Members of 'The Cloud' can receive a fan club card with a never released image of Rain (Bi) during his 4th album promotion along with special benefits as a member.

Rain (Bi) will be holding a charity concert on October 12th at Seoul's Chamshil Main Stadium to celebrate the release of his fourth album and showcase.

yup truly proud to have this album and be able to listen to it for more than a dozen times now. it is common knowledge what happened to the phils last thu. a super typhoon came and hit LUZON so hard that up to now, we here in muntinlupa city have no electricity and water yet. just reading my emls and of course visiting my favorite forums in an internet cafe. last friday, i picked up my pre-ordered ETERNAL RAIN cd at tower records atc since all malls operate on their pwr generators. since i still have my old reliable battery operated cd player, i was able to enjoy rain's very good singing voice in nihongo. not only that i was also able to enjoy listening to all his 4 cds as well. talk of killing time since there was nothing much left to do during a major power outage (blackout in luzon as the news would say), i would be playing cards with my hubby and daughter while listening to rain. very nice. the only thing is while listening, i was singing along esp with Freeway, ST, Move On and Feels so Right. geez, i keep on saying Rain is so good with his Nihongo and then my daughter would say, "mom, probably rain does but not you" http://www.cloudphilippines.com/images/smiles/ic69.gif ; meaning, i dont sound so good in nihongo as rain or definitely, i cant sing like rain. and of course i wouldnt argue either. http://www.cloudphilippines.com/images/smiles/ic40.gif

it's been almost a week since super typhoon MILENYO hit MMla so hard. pero di pa din narerestore ang cable service namin. the electricity is quite erratic din kaya nagpopower trip madalas. ang matino lang tlga and stable is pldt landline and dsl. anyways, since walang cable tv (and definitely wala ng access sa kht anong chnl cuz tv depends on the cable connection) so wala na kong idea kung ano na ba mga koreanovelas these days. buti na lang mdmi akong collection ng dvds and vcds. recently we just finished SUPER ROOKIE (ganda nito promise) and now replaying GOONG (my 2nd favorite to FH).

It looks like at any moment the pink T-shirt holding in his bulging muscles will be able to contain him no more: shoulders that look as if they have spread another 10 cm in the last year from a new and deeper confidence in his words and ways. K-Pop’s brightest star Rain, who will kick off a world tour at a release event for his fourth album at the main stadium at the Jamsil Olympic Stadium on Oct. 13., agreed to a chat with the Chosun Ilbo.

“What happens now will determine whether I’ll be taking a big step forward or staying where I’m at," he says. “If you just grasp a handful of sand, it will only slip through your fingers. You need to sprinkle water on the sand to make mud, which can then become cement and be made into a building.”

“This world tour is the biggest opportunity I’ve ever had in my life,” says the pop star, who has prepared for it as much as humanly possible. The biggest difference between this and his last tour is that a top crew that has worked on the shows of all the top U.S. and U.K. stars has been assembled for the show. “Things that no Korean musician has yet been able to do are happening now,” he says. “Even when those who come to the show reach their 40s and 50s, they will automatically think of it whenever it rains, that’s the kind of masterpiece that I will make. When I was drinking with (tour) producer Jamie King, he said, ‘I’m the best there is. If I can’t make your stage the best, there’s no reason for me to be here.’ It was like a spark.”

After wrapping up his Madison Square Garden concert back in February, Rain had two choices. There was the perhaps too hasty fast track: putting together an album in English and heading guns blazing into the U.S. market. And the slower and surer option: heading back to Asia to cement his popularity with a world tour first. He went with the second option. “I thought that the first order of business should be giving a big gift back to the audiences in Asia. Towards the end of next year, I’ll officially release an album in English, and then I’d better get up on those Billboard Charts,” he says.

“I don’t have the words to express how ready I am for battle. Usually, once the curtain goes up, the roars of the audience shake me like a wave and electricity surges from head to toe. But now I’m in that state of excitement even though the concerts haven’t started.”

Rain's ambitions as an actor are not too modest either. He recently finished work on the latest film by director Park Chan-wook, "Cyborg Girl." In the midst of all that, he has also been putting together his fourth album and preparing for the tour, putting his daily schedule a long way from comfort. "I sleep for one or two hours," he admits.

"In my days as a backup dancer, a mentor of mine who was the drummer said something that always stayed with me: 'When you lie down in bed at night, if comfortable sleep doesn't come to you, you haven't put everything into your work that day." These days, when I lie down for bed, I am often uneasy. I struggle to think of just what it is that I've done wrong, then finally, I just get back up and practice dancing and singing again. It seems like I may have some kind of an obsession."

Even though Rain lives as though there are 48 hours in a day, he still meets his friends from time to time. But he confesses, "After just the first shot of Soju, I start asking myself, 'Is it really OK for me to be messing around like this now?' and then it is difficult for me to just enjoy small talk." His "obsession" with work is more than your garden variety self-motivation. "Yes, I'm a workaholic."

"When I think of how I wasn't able to even buy a meal, or a bouquet of flowers, for my mother who left this world after she couldn’t get adequate treatment for her diabetes, I realize that I can’t spend one minute or even one second in vain," the singer says. "People who have gone five days without food see the world with different eyes. A lot of my older friends tell me that I should spend more of my money."

The album, to be released at the event on 13th, has his fans all over the world on pins and needles. "In places that have been ravaged by war and starvation, the falling Rain brings the sprouts of peace and love," is the theme that was chosen to base the album around, explains the singer.

In August last year, Rain donated enough to have 50 wells built in Kampot, Cambodia. “It was such a small thing, but many people helped, so we had good results.” Recalling the Time 100 party last May, where the singer rubbed shoulders with some real big-timers, he says, “I was introduced with the phrase, ‘In North Korea there’s Kim Jong-il, in South Korea there’s Rain,’ and I was together with Condoleezza Rice and Jerry Bruckheimer, it was like a fantastic dream. I was infused with a new energy when I returned home.” Back in my days as a dancer, whenever things became overwhelming, I used to head up Mt. Namsan, he says, closing his eyes.

“Then I said to myself, ‘Someday every single one of those people down there will know my name.’ These days, when I think about the U.S., it brings back those memories. Now is only the beginning. Soon the day will come when everyone in the U.S., the home of pop music, will also recognize that Rain is the top star.”

Asian Star, Rain, has finally completed his preparation work for the 4th album launch. He is presently sweating to prepar for his World Tour Premier.

Rain will be holding the press conference for his fourth album on the 11th of this month. He will be disclosing some news on the songs in his 4th album which is soon to be released on the 13th of this month, as well as the concepts of his World Concert Tour.

Rain, who had been thinking about his stage concepts whenever he had a break from filming his first movie, "I'm a Cyborg, but it's Ok" formally commence preparation for his stage performance during end-August, when filming of the movie finally came to a conclusion. Mid-September, he flew to LA for half a month, where he completed his dance practise and stage setup with Jamie King.

Right after US, he flew to Hong Kong to attend the branch opening ceremony of DHC, the makeup brand which he is endorsing. Thereafter, he has been throwing himself into the preparation for his World Concert Tour. Even for the Autumn festival, he merely had a simple ceremonial celebration with his family on the day itself before continuing with his practise.

In particular, his rehearsal will commence on the 8th, which is also the last day of this long festival holiday. For the sake of a perfect stage performance, there can be no moment of laxing for Rain up to the day before his showcase.

Additionally, Rain, who is releasing his 4th album on the 13th this month has completed his recording and preparation work. He has completed the filming of his MV for his album's feature song, "I'm Coming", which is based in Taean Peninsula. After his showcase on the 13th, he will kick off a series of promotional performance and live broadcast activities, starting from the MBC "Show, Music Centre" on the 14th, and a SBS music programme on the 15th.

What?! How much would it cost for Rain to perform here? malamang nga mala F4 type and price nyan. Nakapanood ako noon ng cocertnila first yung kay Vanness and Ken, then Jerry and Zaizai then yung apat sial after Christmas. Alam mo ba na lahat ng ticket non courtesy of my younger sister, kasi lagi syang nananalo ng tickets. Favorite niya si Ken , ako si Vanness , so go kami. South Korea's Rain or "Pi"embarks on a world
premiere tour this Friday.


Rain, known as Pi in Korean, is undoubtedly one of the biggest K-pop stars nowadays. It's no wonder that around 40,000 fans, with almost a fourth from other countries, are expected to attend the premiere of his world concert tour at Jamsil Stadium, Seoul on Friday.

Fans from Japan, China, United States, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines are expected to show their support for Rain.

The free concert coincides with the release of Rain's fourth album on Friday. Rain gained popularity also as an actor throughout Asia in the hit drama "Full House."

Rica Valera, a caterer from Manila, Philippines, is traveling to Seoul with a bunch of friends to watch the concert. She and her friends arranged their Korean vacation to coincide with Rain's concert.

"I have seen Rain perform live in Hong Kong for his showcase and in Bangkok for the last leg of his Rainy Day Tour and he exceeded all expectations. I'm just hoping to see him enjoy his performance. I don't want to be stressed and pressured by placing high expectations on Rain," Valera told The Korea Times.

Gina Wong, an accounts executive from Singapore, said she is looking forward to a great performance by Rain. "I'm not sure what to expect, but I know Rain will be great," she said.

The Oct. 13 concert is seen as a preview for Rain's upcoming world tour "Rain’s Coming," which will officially kick off in Seoul on Dec. 15 (www.rainworldtour.com (http://www.rainworldtour.com/)). He is expected to perform songs from his latest album.

For his concert, Rain has tapped prominent concert production people such as stage director Jaime King, who has choreographed dance moves for Madonna, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera; lighting specialist Roy Bennett; and visual director Dago Gonzalez.

StarM, the entertainment agency organizing the concert, has even coordinated with travel agencies from different countries to make it easier for fans to come to Korea and watch the show.

The price of the Rain concert package tours varies. For instance in Hong Kong, a travel agency is offering a special Rain concert package which includes airfare, hotel accommodations, VIP tickets to the concert and a tour of the "Full House" set, for HK$4,599 or roughly 560,000 won.

In Japan, there is a special dinner and concert package for 148,000 yen or roughly 1.19 million won, and a concert-only package which starts a 84,000 yen or 675,000 won.

The show will start at 7 p.m., with opening acts Paran, Popin Hyungjoon, NOW and Lim Jeong-hee.

Next year, Rain is expected to take his concert tour to 35 cities in 12 countries, namely the United States, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, China, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines.

Rain is also quite busy these days, after finishing his first movie "Cyborg Girl" directed by Park Chan-wook. He is also preparing an English album to be released in the U.S. next year.

Last February, he held two sold-out concerts at Madison Square Garden in New York City. He was also named one of Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People in the World this year.

naku mga unnies, at long last after d/ling so many players with codecs as suggested by our caring unnies from sexybi, ayan nabuo ko din ang complete shocase file via sexybi clubbox. madugo pala ang tagal matapos but it's all worth it. ang ganda ang galing ang gwapo ang astig ng dating. grabe. drools! me mga shots nga si bi while singing na mejo gary v sa bglang tingin. hay!

addendum to my overwhelming experience of watching the showcase:

mga unnies, mas mganda panoorin yung whole showcase., i mean ang dami ko ding naencounter na problems b4 ko nabuo. anjan ang ayaw magresume clubbox d/l (kaht pldtdsl na ko) ko and it took all of 9 hrs to finish it. accg to tarong, 2 days yata sa knya. me mga split files sa sexybi na mas mdli id/l pero mahirap i join afterwards kc namimili ng players. halos 5 klaseng players ayaw pa din cuz of codec problems. dami ko nang ininstall and in-uninstall halos walang tulugan just to see the showcase. tlga yta pag me tiyaga me nilaga. after 2 days, kna ko lng tlga nawatch yung 700MB file.

heto lang tlga masasabi ko. super galing ni rain: voice, moves, rhtythm, style, looks. showcase pa lang very impressive na. what more sa actual world tour. mdmi ngang nagcomment na kht pa SGD888 ang highest price ng tkt, sa perfomance level ni rain pa lang, at hindi matatawarang production, sulit na. sa tingin ko mas una masosold out yung front rows. even among rain singapore members, me mga bumili tlga ng front row tkts. very i9mpressive yumg preparation for RAIN WORLD. ang isa pang maganda yung MULAWIN like Rain dun sa MV ng im coming. maski nga onstage sa showcase, mrming nabighani dun. ang galing tlga. kulang ang adjectives to describe how great rain has improved in his craft laluna sa live performance. wala pa yatang ibang asian artists ang nakapagmount ng ganyang kagandang concert dito. kung sakali at mahirapan ang pinas na ma afford magorganize/promote ng Rain World tour, pwede pa tayo makanood sa neighboring countries to enjoy him. it surely is a not to miss thing. pero sabi nga ng iba sa mga forums, kung wla pa din tlga, pwede pa naman tayo makapag d/l sa net. pero iba pa din na mapanood siya ng live. sobrang proud na proud ako sa layo ng narating ni Rain sa career path niya. heto di lang bumubulusok, lumilipad pa http://forums.abs-cbn.com/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif http://forums.abs-cbn.com/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif yung showcase pa lang reminds me of Michael History and Dangerous Tours nun. grabe sa astig ang production. ganyan din itong ke Rain ngayon. mga americans ang advisers nito. me mga black choreographer na pati ang director nito kano din yata. pang international market na talaga. i do hope his Las Vegas leg for the world tour will be a smashing success.
