Annyong haseo mga sisterzzz!!!!! musta na keo? It has been sooo long..for me is like forever..since my last post sa pinakamamahal kong thread!!! I missed you guys...huhuhu..grabe ang drama ng lola nio!!

anyway,i have been here (cebu) for almost a month now for a vacation but i got hired instead so i only enjoyed the 2 weeks and then i already have a job well,it started last week and boy!!!..super tiring tlga ang sked!!!! I don't want to do the kind of work that i am doing because i am not that happy..it pays well but i am not happy so i am thinking of quitting next week!!!! i guess i forgot to tell you bout my job...for the people who are interested to know...i am in advertising specifically sa travelling accounts...

enough bout my job, medyo enjoy ko rin naman short vacation ko because i get to go to the malls and buy some stuff..specially the shoes...i also saw 2 of Bi's cd's...and ph yeah..i do have news for you guys..its sort of last year's news..i have a friend who owns a travel agency and he just stressed that he was able to meet korean stars and one of them was bi...he was checked in sa shangri-la mall..and boi he was soo adorable daw and so simple...he had a tour in cebu but it was discreetely done..o well,yun lang muna chika ko for now...have a great week ahead!!!!

hello sis!!!! medyo i was not able to post the pics xe i was sooo exhausted with my work...my shift was not on graveyard but the hours..my gawsh..super tiring tlga..all i can do is sleep and just watch tv ng konti...but since i just resigned...medyo ok na rin life ko now..i am still on the "relaxing" mode...plan ko nga to go to a beach resort to totally recharge before i apply for another job...cgro one of these days pag recharged na ako...i am gonna post pics na......i really hope tlga that i find happiness na...take care always...

Advance orders for singer Rain's photo album entitled "Road for Rain" will likely reach 10 billion won in Japan.

MN Pictures, the planning and production agency of Rain's photo album, said on Feb. 22, "We can't reveal the exact amount because of our agreement with the Japanese sales agency. But we can say the advance orders for Rain's photo album and DVD set have reached 10 billion won (roughly $10 million in US dollars)." Such a huge amount of advance orders is chiefly attributed to the relatively higher prices of the photo album and the DVD in the Japanese market, as well as Rain's popularity.

The photo album will hit the market in Japan sometime in April or May. Rain toured Cuba and Los Angeles last year during his free time between his acting and concerts. The photos were shot by photo artist Cho Sun-hee.

The photo album consists of four different themes ranging from his boyish features to manly and sexy "tough guy" images. The 45-minute DVD contains footage of dynamic dances he showed off with American and Cuban dancers, as well as an interview with him.

"Rain is winning higher popularity in Japan in light of his recent concert at Madison Square Garden Theater in New York, a first for an Asian singer. As such, many Japanese agencies are increasingly expressing their wish to secure the photo album and the DVD," said an official from MN Pictures.

I like when Rain asked for a scream, then fans failed to scream together at the same time. He did a gigolo's facial expression and said to the audiences, "What?! Was that the best you can do ?" and then he greeted fans up the mountain and fans at nearer levels across the hall. Then Rain asked fans to do it again, he says "Now do this, One-Two-Three-Four AH!!!!! (laughs)". He really did shout/scream it out! That was very funny, indeed.

Rainy Day concert draws throngs of starry-eyed fans

It was pouring Rain last Saturday at Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani. It was no surprise that Rain (Jung Ji Hoon), one of the biggest Korean pop stars at the moment, attracted throngs of starry-eyed, devoted fans for his ¡°Rainy Day¡± concert.

Some fans seemed to have flown in directly from Korea, Taiwan and Japan. Many carried bags full of equipment ?signs made of light bulbs, as it were ?to root of their beloved star.

Possibly due to the high ticket prices (peaking at 6,000 baht) there were some empty seats, but that didn¡¯t really matter. Rain provided pure entertainment and fun, hard to come by with today¡¯s pop stars.

Kim Go Eum (¡°Star¡±) kicked off the night with her hit song I Think I. The lovely singer ended her short performance by impressively trying to have a lengthy conversation in Thai.

Then the real show began. Familiar beats brought Rain onto the stage and the first song was none other than It¡¯s Raining one of his most famous Rain or ¡°Bi¡± in Korean, moved his fans with songs from older albums such as Bad Guy and How to Avoid the Sun as well as more recent ones.

The most impressive thing about the concert must have been Rain¡¯s unique, outstanding choreography. Smooth yet powerful, sexy yet playful, Rain sprinkled his footsteps with a combination of martial arts and fluid dance moves. With every movement, the six-packed singer exuded sex appeal, stripping off his already tattered T-shirt little by little. To top it off, his boyish smiles kept fans of all ages spellbound. It was no wonder that the area next to the stage ?the 6,000-baht, standing room only area ?was occupied by pre-teens up to thirty something ladies.

It was a memorable performance overall, though his impeccable dancing sometimes overshadowed his singing skills. Unfortunately Rain¡¯s voice was, from time to time, drowned out by his backing band.

The visuals, full of cutesy images, added to the ever present excitement. The mini buildings that bounced every time Rain and the dancers jumped were adorable.

Although Rain¡¯s songs were written in Korean with some English lines, Thai fans, who might primarily fall for his down-to-earth and likeable personality as well as his sexy body, could understand the lyrics by reading Thai subtitles on the two screens.

One of Rain¡¯s other attempts to win the hearts of the audience was his speaking Thai, and he actually did quite well. As scripted, Rain went in search of the ¡°right one¡± during Quiz; the heart-throb flirted, held hands and hugged the chosen (planted) girl. As expected, young and not-so-young female fans screamed crazily, whishing they had been chosen.

There was a touching moment when Rain dedicated It¡¯s Not Familiar (Not Used to) to his late mother, who died just before he released his first album. He sang the song with tears welling up in his eyes.

The 90-minute concert ended abruptly with I Do, leaving the audience to wonder whether the show was really over.
As the audience began to leave the hall, Rain returned to perform one last gimmick: Standing in the middle of the stage, just as he did in the video for Love Actually, the singer held up placards that said how glad he was to be there and, of course, how much he loved his fans.

With such charm and effort, how could not love him back?

The popularity of Korean newcomer, Rain, is rapidly escalating. Anybody figured out why, yet?

Rain's not good-looking at all. What he has, though is youth. A lift of his head, a pout of those lips and a cool "I-can't-be-bothered" look. It’s pretty annoying actually, but he follows that with a smile and a bite of his lips—his aloofness was just a joke. All women in this world fall for that kind of a face-changing playfulness and warmth.

Whether it's the 80-year-old granny, or the 8-yr-old girl, Rain is the highest common divisor in their minds. In the eyes of the old grandmother, he is the grandson who is about to enter university this year. Looking at him, she reminisces. It's almost like yesterday that she was still teaching the plump toddler his first steps in the park.

To the housewife, Rain is the son who is growing up into a fine adult every day. It's the age for this son to have his first girlfriend outside, and Rain evokes the vulnerability and jealousy of all housewives in the world—such a fine piece of work which she has painstakingly cultivated, who is soon to be snatched away by some strange young girl. She loves and hates this at the same time, and 70% of this jealousy comes from the unwillingness to let go. She makes him a bowl of soup, but it gradually turns cold on the dining table. This son who is starting to only come home after midnight strikes.

To the 28 year old single woman, she hopes to be able to be sexually harassed by Rain (Translator: I can’t stop laughing here). Those single-lid eyes emit a wildness that says "I don't want to go home". Rain is the dream lover of all those seeking an "elder sister - younger brother" kind of love. She loves his cheekiness and his wildness, his immense need for you to take care of him. In the night where there's no moonlight, although wearing a pair of Nikes, he'll quiet down, lie on the couch and leave you sitting on the carpet. He'll listen thoughtfully as you recount how you were broken-hearted in that sad relationship you once had. You'll be shocked at how quiet he is this evening, such a different person from his usual bouncy self. He is no love expert, but he will sigh heavily and wipe that tear from the corner of your eyes. Then he'll walk quietly into the kitchen and make you a mug of home-made hot lemon honey drink.

As for 18 year old girl, Rain is really quite a bad-boy, but in such a suave and sophisticated way. He'll be holding his luggage and waiting by the lamp-post outside your window, whistling to you in the night and asking you elope with him. Jump into that old Rover convertible, and only then will he announce he has but three thousand Taiwan dollars with him. In the moon light that night that hangs in the atmosphere like a layer of mint scent, to Taoyuan or Miaoli, Jiayi or Tainan…you'll follow him anywhere. All because that night at the dance floor, the way he shook his butt captivated you so.

To all the women in the world, Rain is a beautiful hoax. Those wanderers' eyes of his, those pouty lips, his abandoned primal dance steps, and that broad seductive chest of his…like a wild forest fire; how did all these get together in this fine piece of work? After careful thinking, you suddenly realize, "can all these be true?" and it dawns on you that all these are just feelings. But women need this little piece of oasis where the sun shines; when it's the dry, dull desert surrounding us, we crave for the cool, neutering rain, just like his name; a resonating word to stay in our minds and memories for good.

China fans of Korean singer, Rain (Jeong JiHoon) is raising funds for children of Chongqing so the children can go to school. This is their special present to the singer for his upcoming birthday. The huge number of fans has already raised 17 thousand Yuan as of yesterday.

"We are China fans of Rain. Rain celebrates his birthday on 25th June."

As of 7th Feb, about 100 members had an intense discussion on this, and subsequently issued the "Rainbow Action¡ªRaining on Spring Buds Proposal (Eng trans my own)" online. Rain fan Xiaodong told the reporter that this is a joint project between Rainchina and Baidu Rain. The aim is to do raise funds, in the name of Rain, and help a group of "Spring Bud" children living in poverty areas to complete their primary six education.

According to Xiaodong, they selected Chongqing for this project after many fans saw reports of teachers in Chongqing who are living in poverty conditions. In addition, this project was greatly aided by the Women Association of Chongqing, who helped the fans reach out to 50 children in the Chongqing "Spring Bud" project.

"Rain is a very caring artiste. We hope that more people can get to know about Rain through such methods. We hope to show our passion for the artiste through a more meaningful way, and at the same time, lend a helping hand to these children. More so, we hope to reach out to the public to help and support the needy."

According to Xiaodong, the proposal was issued online on the 7th February. By 27th Feb, in just 20 days, the "Rainbow Action" has raised more than 17 thousand Yuan of funds. The project is currently still going on.

"We have set up four bank accounts. The donor's name and amount contributed are announced in the forum. We are projecting to raise 20 thousand yuan; 15 thousand yuan for school fees and five thousand for things like stationary and daily lives necessities," says Xiaodong.

'Rain' Fever, the export formula (Jimmy Jeong's interview in Thailand)

JYP Entertainment, Ltd or JYPE is a big entertainment business company in Korea, as the home label of "Rain" came back again with a bigger project, "Rainy Day In Bangkok 2006" concert. Now it's become one of the hits among Korean's culture exports.

Jimmy Jeong, the director of new business development of JYPE, gave views as a 100% Korean businessman that the Korean entertainment business has come to a peak success like never before. Korean producers, both in the movie and drama fields now concentrate on stories about family, relationships among people, and the most important things, they invest big budgets on the productions and export their works to ASEAN countries.

"We brought "Rain" to Thailand for the first time 3 years ago. At that time we didn't think that later we would be able to do such a big project in Thailand because Thailand is so far away from Korea as compared to Hong Kong, and Japan which is nearer. So, last 3 years we didn't give much expectation. We didn't know much about the Thai market whether how large it is.

At that time, we came here to film the Korean series "Full House" in Phuket. We only felt impressed with Thailand in its culture and people.

As for now, we've known that the Thai market is very interesting and is one big market. This is proven by the success of our artists' promotion tours with the helpful collaborations of Thai music companies, RS promotions and GMM Grammy.

Another example of the success of the Korean entertainment business, Jimmy refered to the movie, "The Promise" , in Thai title "Kon Ma Bin", which also a 'collaboration' among countries, which should be the resolves of problems now.

"The Promise", produced by 4 different countries, including Japan, America, China and Korea, is a project that can sell in several countries, not just Korea. Another example is "Full House" which is also a collaboration between Korean producers and GGB company of Taiwan.

The success of Korean entertainment business results from the well-preparation since the pre-production process. The Korean government and the production crews have to make it all ready before starting.

As receiving the successful feedbacks, now the Korean entertainment business investers like to expand its targets abroad, not only for the Korean audiences.

"At the present, we create projects in several countries in the area, for example, when we work on dramas or music, we'll try to compensate with the overseas customers' needs as well. We prepare for the international markets, for China, do like that, for Japan, do like this...etc. Also our new targets like India and Vietnam, we will have to think how to make it exportable. When we collaborate with foreign countries, we have to think of what Asians like or what the consumers need. That's why the successfull Korean movies or dramas like Full House, and even Dae Jang Geum, was made from the collected information about the basic storylines that Asians like which is love and normal Asian sterotype.

The confident entertainment businessman, Jimmy, also confronted that Korean entertainment exports will continue to grow, and that'll do in Thailand as well because JYPE also tries to collaborate with the Thai music company for the continuous development together. Now that it's not only JYPE bring Korean artists to do promotions here but also plans to look for Thai native artists to train with JYPE in Korea because Korea knows that if they can successfully break into the Thai market means the open door to the markets in ASEAN as well.

Singer Rain openly declares his ideal lover-type. The Korean artiste who is now enjoying huge popularity in Asia and US declares that his ideal lover is DJ Oh Mihee.

Through the special programme produced by KBS 2TV "The Seven Rain-Makers (eng translation my own)", Rain will reveal and talk about the seven people who helped him become the confident Rain of today. One of these special people is Oh Mihee. The programme is scheduled to air on the 10th of this month.

Rain describes his special impression of Oh Mihee, "When I was still a newcomer, I went to the radio station for an interview session with her. That was when I started admiring her. She feels like a virtuous, caring mother, letting people feel at ease when they're with her."

Rain continued about Oh Mihee, "Even though we've only met once, it feels like we've known each other for 10 years, and just want to be a pillar of support."

"My life partner should be a virtuous woman like Oh Mihee," declares Rain openly.

Rain also remembers how his mother had to make a living while enduring the pain of jabs in the course of her diabetes treatment. His face reveals his pinning and memories of his late mother.

He also mentioned GOD member, Kim Tae Woo as one of the seven "rainmakers". Before he released his debut album, Rain was so poor he didn¡¯t have any money for food. After more than 7 days, he couldn't take it anymore, and gave Kim Tae Woo a call, saying he¡¯'s very hungry. AT that time, Kim Tae Woo was very busy with GOD promotional activities, but he still went off to buy food for Rain immediately.

In the interview, Rain expresses, "Kim Tae Woo is a great young man. I'll remember to repay him even till the day I die."

KBS decides to air this special documentary this year during the segment "Window of Asia". This is the second special documentary on Rain, following the special documentary interview made last year in October.

Other than airing "The Seven Rainmakers", KBS will also be airing clips from Rain's concerts in NY Madison Square and Bangkok which were held in February this year.

Rain and special mugs to promotes "Rain falling in Asia" project

Rain collaborates with Ecoshop in project "Rain falling in Asia" to build a water well for Cambodia, which is currently facing high death rates due to a water-related disease.

In this project, Ecoshop will manufacture and sell Rain-related premiums to raise funds. These funds will go into helping children who are living with environmental problems. Rain's agency, JYPE has already agreed to collaborate with Ecoshop to push this project.

The first premium manufactured for this project, a mug, will draw away from idol-related premiums and emphasize on things that are useful in our daily lives. More of such products will be produced after this first fund-raising project.

The mug is available for purchase from 3rd March 06 from 11am till 9th March 06, 11pm. You can purchase this mug via hotline 02-730-7333 or via the website http://www.ecoshop.or.kr/ (http://www.ecoshop.or.kr/)

Looking for the next Rain

Fresh on the heels of Korean pop star Rain's twin concerts at Impact Arena, efforts are underway to clone him all across Asia.

Park Jin-young of JYP Entertainment came up with the idea a few years ago of holding auditions around the world to find fresh talent, and last year in Taiwan it become "You Can Be Rain". Now it's Thailand's turn.

"There are many talented people in every corner of the world," says Hong Seung Sung, JYP's chief executive for music and artist management.
"We're confident that Asians are equally talented to Americans and Europeans, but we encourage the Asian countries to cooperate and compete together against America and Europe.
"Whereas previously only 3 to 5 per cent of Asian music aptured interest of Western listeners, that's now up to 30 per cent," Hong says.
"So JY Park wants to find more Asian artists to serve the market."

The Asian auditions are for singers, dancers, actors, models and video jockeys. Candidates will have financial support and accommodation whild in South Korea, but they have to bring along a readiness to learn another language.

"We don't just look at Asia market, but the whole international market," Hong says, "so English is very importatn. If you can't speak English, we have a training centre for several languages, including Chinese and Korean."

Hong estimates that it takes about three years to turn an audition winner into a recorded artist with an album in English - and one in his own language. JYP will release a Thai version of the Thai audition winner's CD in conjunction with GMM Grammy, which holds the copyright for Rain's releases here.

All the artists-in-training will sign 10-year contracts with JYP.

King-of-Pop moves, flowers for a chosen fan, broken hears and around and a ballad for his late mum – the guy sure can sell a show

South Korean superstar Rain left a flood of freshly drenched Thai fans behind after a pair of sold-out shows at Impact Arena last weekend.
Well before the pop sensation emerged from behind a huge veil covering the stage with the message “It’s a Rainy Day”, his compatriot named Star opened the show with “I Think I”, and showed she was a little more conversant in the local lingo than Rain.

“Do you remember?” she said in Thai. “‘I Think I’ will sing that song again, and I want every body to sing along.”

As she did, the massive stage screens showed scenes from the place, the Korean hit TV show “Full House”, in which Rain had a role.
Star disappeared behind the veil, and drifting clouds – white but slowly darkening – filled it. Then, with the arena shimmering with glow sticks, came the deluge.
A huge roll of thunder echoed through the place, the curtain came down, and there was Rain, in white gloves and white jacket over a ragged, green, long-sleeved T-shirt and blue jeans.
A blast of fire works introduced “Na”, with dancers cavorting around the pop star and the big screens playing gritty scenes from a video.

The more than 10,000 fans erupted in screams when Rain peeled of his jacket, displaying a muscled torso beneath the tight-fitting T.

More fireworks as Rain kicked into “Na Pen Nam Ja”, similarly muscled with heavy rhythms, his singing and dancing reminiscent of Michael Jackson. By the song’s end he could be heard panting into the microphone.

“Ak Soo” featured some compelling, sexually-charged dancing, and the inevitable roar when Rain yanked off his sleeves. “Sawasdee khrub, phom rak khun!” he called out before switching to hesitant English to say, “Welcome to Rainy Day!”, then “It’s my pleasure!” and then “Are you ready?”

He and the fans counted out one, two, three, four to begin “Nan Ddo Ni Ga Joen Geya”, a tune full of American hip-hop influence, during which the screams where deafening when three sexy female dancers helped him off with the rest of that tattered shirt and his body glistened with sweat.

After disappearing backstage for a few moments, Rain re-emerged wearing black gloves and a black overcoat over a black sleeveless shirt. He descended into the hubbub to greet the fans who’d paid Bt6,000 to stand up front, then abruptly announced, “I’m lonely!”

That was the introduction to the jazzy “Quiz”.

“I need a girlfriend,” Rain said, and brought a young lady onstage from the audience, handing her a teddy bear and a bouquet of flowers before giving her a hug.
It was a chaste hug, but envy can be a powerful emotion when it comes all at once from thousands of breaking hearts, and it tinged the screams as Rain made someone else’s dream come true.

“I Do” was played as hundreds of white balloons fell from the roof and the screens glowed with red hearts. A sweet guitar opened “Al Myun Seo”, and the singer mimicked the King of Pop some more, complete with slouch hat. He’s a fine dancer and a passable singer, attempting Jackson’s tense demeanor but soon smiling again.

He took another break, during which meal and female breakdancers entertained, then returned in a dazzle of fireworks and some poignant piano and strings to sing “Can’t Get Used to It”.

“I loved a woman,” he said, “but she passed away and was looking down at me from Heaven. I love you mom.” The ballad was for his late mother, and the tears weren’t far behind as the lyrics were translated into Thai on the screens. Many in the crowd called out, urging him to “Fight! Fight! Fight!”

He surprised the audience by hanging sideways in the air from a stage strut during “It’s Raining”, which he gave a hip-hop feel with Indian flavor.

Next was “An Nyung E Ran Mal Dae Sin”, during which he promised to return to Bangkok. “To You” was the show closer, but he was soon back with an encore – “I Do” again, with more sad piano.

The fans went home happy, if just a little heartbroken that they too hadn’t been summoned onstage. Many clutched small white towels that Rain and his dancers had tossed into the crowd as they threw water around. A thoughtful souvenir, good for wiping away tears too.

Thailand market agree with the idea that "Rain is the real Asian Super Star"
25th and 25th of last month, Rain had his concert at Impact Arena in Bangkok. On 27th and 28th, all of Thailand's press talked highly about Rain's performances.

The Rath mentioned that "paying so much for the ticket was so worth it, no regrets. Rain gave more than 100% and showed his great dancing and singing skills." The Khom Chad Luek mentioned that "top stars of Thailand attended the concert and even these stars screamed and cheered for Rain"

the Khao Sod said "all of the female fans, even the female celebrities who attended the show as a fan, were very impressed by the whole concert. Starting with the planning, the music, the dancing, the singing, the lighting, the stage setting. Everything was perfect."

The Thailand Daily news, especially, on the 28th mentioned that "the concert was so artistically skillful that the fans were so moved by the performance. the concert proved to Thailand of why Rain is the real Asian Super Star." The Manager said that "the people who attended the concert with remember Rain in their hearts forever.

Along with his singing performances, he is popular with the drama which was partly shot in Thailand 'Full House'. There were about 200 thousand tickets sold for this Thailand concert and those tickets were sold out in 4 days, this was an explosive response.

Rain plans on touring all over Asia in the future.

Rain's evaluation of various parts of his body:

Hair: I like black hair. Have it straightened, with a few strands of blond in between—cute and manly at the same time. Because I'm busy with work and sometimes may neglect to groom my hair, so I've fallen in love with hats. Firstly, to cover the unruly hair, and secondly, I think I'm pretty good-looking wearing hats!

Eye: When I was young, I hated my eyes. There were many times when I wanted to go get my double eyelids surgically done, but the plastic surgeon felt that my small eyes were kind special, so he won't do it for me. Who would know that these pair of eyes helped many people to remember me? Now to think of it, it’s lucky I go through the operation.

Hand: It is important for dancers to protect their hands. To fully communicate the rhythm and essence of a song and a dance performance, every part of the body must be flexible and agile, the hand is no exception. I wonder if everybody realized this, but my fingers are very pointed. If I don't become a singer, maybe I would have become a great pianist! *Laughs*

Waist: Shoulders, waist, butt, legs, feet -- these are the five crucial parts for any dancer, which should be protected like the dancer protects his life! But very often, they are problematic. When dancing, it is important to "open" your joints, and these joints are very vulnerable to injuries. When I first started dancing, I sprained my waist or leg almost every day. I had no idea using so much strength would result in injuries. Nowadays, when I perform on stage, some people will ask me how come my waist is so flexible. This is of course, the result of long-term training. There's also health elements here. For the sake of your health, everybody should also take note to train their bodies.

Forehead: When I was young, I often hear the adults say that people with high foreheads are very smart, and these people tend to be fast-learners. At that time, I thought I was doomed for life. My forehead is not high, so I probably will be terrible at school, and probably never learn anything well! In the end, it seems the adults' prophecy was fulfilled in me. Honestly speaking, my academic results were not very good. This is especially after I started becoming obsessed with dancing. I skipped classes almost every day. My results were horrible, but my dancing foundations were doing great instead. From this, it shows that I'm not stupid at everything. So even without a high forehead, as long as you practice doubly hard every day, you can still succeed.

Nose: I have quite a pretty nose. Look at my side-profile, isn't my nose nice and straight? I had a nose bridge surgical procedure done, and at that time, many fans were very worried. Everyone, please don't worry. I am very healthy. Please take care of your health too!

Mouth: Friends around me all say I have very full lips, and they look very sexy. Of course I'm very happy. Although I pretend to be very shy in front of them, but when I am alone at home, I'm secretly very gleeful about it.

Shoulder: I think men should have a pair of shoulders that allow women to lean with security. If I have a girlfriend, I will give all my love to her. I won't make her cry, upset her or allow her to get hurt. I'll block all wind and rain for her with my broad shoulders.

A week in Thailand..

After I have written about the works behind Rain's concert, all the fans might want me to write about Rain himself too. Whether what we've seen him in Full House or Sangdoo, is that for real or just illusion ? I have met Rain quite several times and also joined his and his crews' trip in Phuket. (Only staying there one night, girls, don't get me wrong.) At Phuket, he was the real himself because all the works had been done and he could fully take a rest there after all the heavy works he'd been doing all through the year. Let's started with what fans would like to know... I was thrown in many times with several questions including what's he think about Thailand. I can say that he meant what he said, not just trying to please the audiences when he said he liked Phuket. (Next time, we should ask for sponsorship from the Thai Tourism board.) He first went there to film Full House...actually we should say that he really likes the sea. When he reached Phuket and saw the sea, he did nothing but hurriedly run into the sea (like seeing a long-time-no-see girlfriend.) About his favourite food, like Thai people who went aboard after taking a couple of meals in foreign restaurants, afterthat we would feel like getting back to our own dish, he went like that too. As for the desserts, he liked to eat cakes so the ID-Media crews gave him several decent cakes.

One thing that I was impressed by Rain and his crews is their disciplines and that they all knew their duties. So, when Rain had to meet fans or make a public appearance or to take photos, he nicely completed his tasks and he never complaint a bit. And if the one who asked of his photo was an elderly, he would hold them very tight. If they were young kids, he also gave them a kiss. (at this point , I suspect many girls would be jealous.) When he went to the Charity event at Lumpini Park in which the weather was very hot, and Rain had to meet several disabled preys from drunk-car accidents, he still gave his autographs and took photos with everyone and that gave such a happiness to the disableds. And this...is his charm, that when he meets fans, he will do his best on a part as fans' idol. Fans will never disappoint. At Donmuang airport, we had asked whether he would like to go to the VIP exit so he didn't have to go through the crowd, but he chose to go through the normal exit way to meet his fans.... and that's what we've seen, Donmuang was nearly bullied down by his fans.

Rain was a very humble boy. He never acted like a super star. He was very easy-going and he said thank you everytime someone did something for him. The word "Kob Khun Kab" (Kob Khub Krab means "Thank You") was very easy to come out of his mouth and he also gave a "Wai" everytime. ("Wai" is...holding palms together and bow.) Everytime he finished his meals and was about to say goodbye for the day, he would bring all his crews to us just to make everyone saying thank you. That's very cute of him. And another thing that I think is his good stuff is "Touching". While most super stars wouldn't like to be touched but Rain liked to make a touch , for example, when he met someone, he would straight his hand out for a handshake and when fans asking for photos, he would put his arms around them (both female and male fans) , not just standing still. And when to encourage or to give a praise on someone, he would gently pat the one's back to show how he feel. This small and simple bits are what have given anyone who met him good impressions. I, myself, used to like several super stars and when I met them in person, I mostly gave up because their uncuteness. But as for Rain, it's like the more you meet him, the more you like him.

When he went to Phuket, he was an easy-going person. He wore a normal foreign boy's cloth and if you walked pass by , you might never notice that this is a super star. And he was able to do everything that he would like to do... such as riding a motorcycle around the island (he loved doing this) or going out on a yarcht to other islands, swimming, diving to see reefs and sea fishes, going to a spa, he was very excited doing all these. And another cuteness of his is that he never acted differently from his crews that he was a super star. He never request a better treatment than his crews.

Rain told ID-Media that he was touched by what we settled for them including accommodations, food and the trips, and it was very special for him. He was glad to have this Phuket trip and wouldn't forget about this. And this Rainy Day In Bangkok had a total audience of almost 20,000 people which scored a high record for foreign concerts in Thailand so he was confident in opening concerts in Thailand again, which is probably early next year.

What I've written is some parts that I knew and I think Rain's fans might want to know too so, I wanna to share this as our Thank you for the supports in our first organized concert. "Kamsahamnida (Kob Khun Ka)"

Singer Rain (real name: Chung Ji-hoon), a top hallyu star in Asia, and young actress Lim Soo-jung have met Park Chan-wook, a world-renowned director of the Cannes International Film Festival award-winning film "Old Boy," for the first time. They met to discuss the filming of Park's new film entitled "It's Okay, Though You're a Cyborg."

The three celebrities read the script of the film for the first time at the film production agency, Moho Film, on the afternoon of Mar. 18. Their meeting was arranged after Park made the final decision to star Lim and Rain in the film.

According to an official from the film production agency on Mar. 20, the group felt somewhat awkward at first, but the ice was broken after they read the script for about three to four hours and had meals together.

"It's Okay, Though You're a Cyborg," a new HD film, will be directed by Park, the director of "Old Boy" and "Sympathy for Lady Vengeance." It portrays a story about a woman, who believes herself to be a combat cyborg, meeting a man, a serious case of a social misfit, at a mental hospital.

This will be the first film Rain will act in, although he has made his presence known as an actor in TV dramas such as "Let's Go to School, Sang-doo!" and "A Love to Kill." For the new film, Rain will play the lead character using his real name, Chung Ji-hoon.
Lim, who has yet to finish the final scenes of her new film "Lump Sugar," has been cast as the lead female character. The shooting of the new film "It's Okay, Though You're a Cyborg" will begin late this month. Most of the scenes, including those at the mental hospital, will be filmed in Busan.

Using his birth name of Jung Ji Hoon when he is acting, Rain is preparing for his role in the big screen debut by learning how to Yodle.

Rain is trying to adapt to his character for the movie "I'm a cyborg but it's ok" by practicing yodling every day.

Rain finished his "Rainy Day" tour in Bangkok last month and enjoyed his sweet vacation and right after arriving in Korea he went back to his hard working life style.

Just as he practiced his dancing and singing as a singer and performer, right now he is doing the same with acting and becoming the character he plays in the movie by practicing how to yodle everyday and playing ping pong everyday because his character plays ping pong in one of the scenes of the movie.

Rain plays a boy who beleives that he can steal people's souls, along with his co-star Lim Soo Jung. They start shooting the movie at the end of this month!

Although Rain is coped up at Kyung Hee University as a student, he is still unable to escape the paparazzi students in school. They are observing if the megastar is studying seriously and reports his every move in the internet. It's a good thing Rain hands in his homework on time like a good student, and passes his exams successfully, or it'll be quite embarrassing for him!

Rain's schedule is fully packed, so it's confirmed he's not going to Taiwan for publicity when Star TV starts airing Ijuksa on 4th April, 9pm. His first movie "I'm a Cyborg, is that ok?" is due to start filming soon, and he will be playing a youth with psychological problems. Due to his high demands of himself, he has asked to go observe at a real mental hospital. This was rejected by his manager, because it is uncertain what kind of a chaos he will create appearing at the hospital. In the end, they got a staff to describe the daily going-ons at the hospital, and asked a medical staff to explain the symptoms of a mental patient, so that Rain can get a better idea.

Rain did not neglect his study even though he is famous, and some feel that this is the best way for him to avoid being enlisted now. He graduated from the music department of Kyung Hee University and successfully got into the Art Fusion Graduate School of the same university last year. Kyung Hee University has many artistes in their student list, so students are used to seeing them around. But Rain's appearance still caused quite a stir in the school. Even when he reported at school in a low key manner with his blue beanie and sunglasses, he was still recognized straight away by a junior female classmate.

"Cyborg" has drawn attention with the combination of the star director of "Old Boy" and "Sympathy for Lady Vengeance" and the Asian heartthrob, also known by his English name Rain, who performed in the Madison Square Garden in New York last month.

(3/27) the Dir. of FH was interviewed and asked abt his next proj. I thought that he'll say that there will be FH2 but he just said that he'll change his "genre" in his next TV drama. In some instances at the station ID, JYP appears with Rain, introducing him. There is also a forum and Rain was flashed as the subject of the posts, being admired by the viewers. Anyway, the most prominent of all the interviewees was the FH Dir., the rest were local LA residents, mostly Asians. Yesterday (4/12) at 6:10 pm New Just Live Concert was shown at Arirang. There was a replay tod. at 7:00 am. Rain was a performer with 3 other singers. I think this was an old concert. Bi was the last to sing -
it seems that this was at the time that he was promoting his 3rd album. The host said they were at a Cath. Univ. Rain gave his usual fantastic performance. He sung Familiar Face, It's Raining and was interviewed before his last song, I do. There might a replay today at l2:00 noon or at 7:00 pm. Try to watch it at the 2 time slots, whichever. His interview had Eng. translation.

The magazine is asking readers to vote on who they think are the world’s most influential people in five categories, with a different poll category featured each week. Into its fourth week, the poll is now being conducted in the “Artists and Entertainers” category.

Rain is one of only three Asian candidates along with director Ang Lee and actress Zhang Ziyi, which is certain to make Koreans feel proud. Other candidates include U.S. actors George Clooney, Clint Eastwood and Philip Seymour Hoffman, talk show host Jon Stewart, singers Kanye West and Daddy Yankee, and writer J.K. Rowling, who created “Harry Potter.”

Rain is currently in second place with 32 percent of the votes, following Ang Lee with 38 percent.

So far, three polls have been conducted, in the “Heroes & Icons” category, which included Korean-American golf prodigy Michelle Wie as a candidate, “Leader & Revolutionaries” category, and “Builders & Titans” category. The last poll, “Scientists & Thinkers,” will be conducted next week.

Rain is both a singer, and an actor by the name Jeong Jihoon. He is currently filming the movie "I'm a Cyborg, But It's Ok" in Pusan. He comments on his thoughts about being a nominee for "Times 100 Most Influential People".

Rain told Yonhap in his phone interview, "This is really incredible, being nominated alongside these great people. I'm really honored."

He went on to say, "The New York concert in February made some important impacts, and I've gained support from Asian fans in Korea, China, Japan, Thailand etc. I also want to thank JYP hyung who supported and groomed me four years ago when nobody knew who rain was, as well as General Manager of JYPE, Hong Sung Seong and Director Jung Wook, as well as all the agents and staff of JYPE."

Rain is nominated along with 9 other people including Chinese director, Ang Lee, China actress Zhang Ziyi, George Clooney, singer Daddy Yankee, author of Harry Porter J.K. Rowling for Times Magazine's 100 Most Influential People in the World (Artistes and Entertainers category). Just being a nominee is enough to make Rain burst with happiness.

"Times magazine picks world-renowned people as candidates for this poll, I'm extremely happy to be nominated alongside all these great and famous people. After the New York Concert, I'm determined to marked today as the beginning. I'm going to do my Concert Tour in Asia this year, and I will prepare for it seriously. Rain told this good news to his father. Rain's mother had passed away before he made his debut as a singer. His father has been taking care of him since.

"After NY Times reported on my story, father framed the article up and had it kept safely at home. He said that's the family heirloom. Although the trip was kept as secretive as possible, the moment the news leaked out, Chiang Kai-shek international airport is set to go into a chaotic state once again with fans flooding its arrival hall.

Rain flies to Taipei for an express 24-hour interview

The fifth LV Maison in the world is getting ready for its opening ceremony, and Rain will be in Taipei, attending the grand party for some 2000 people at CKS memorial hall. He will be taking Korean Air, flight E691, and will be arriving at 11:05am at CKS International Airport for a 24 hour visit, and has planned to depart the next day at 12:15pm on flight KE692 for Korea.

At the moment, Rain is busy filming "I'm a Cyborg, Is it Ok", directed by Director Pak. He has already taken leave from the filming team for his Taiwan trip. Although the plan was kept as secretive as possible, incredibly informative fans have managed to smell a rat, because for the past one year, Rain has been a avid fan of LV's clothing, and he is almost always in LV whenever he attends his endorsement activities or concert press conferences.

In Taipei to create publicity for the brand

This is Rain's fourth time in Taipei, and his entourage this time round is significantly reduced compared to his last three visits. Especially because the organiser did not publicised about his visit and kept his entire schedule as low-key as possible. According to sources, this is because of some negative news that surfaced the other time Rain visited Taipei, mainly on the conflict between his bodyguards and members of the press. There was also the chaos created by a few hundred passionate fans waiting at the airport. So this time, they chose to be as secretive as possible, hoping to give fans a big surprise.

Time magazine has ranked the singer Rain second on its list of the world's 100 most influential people.

The weekly in its latest edition said Rain last week received 28 percent of online votes in the "Artists and Entertainers" category, behind only Oscar-winning film director Ang Lee.

Actor-turned-filmmaker Clint Eastwood ranked third at 16 percent, followed by Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi and actor George Clooney.

Time selects the world's 100 most influential people every year in five categories: "Heroes and Icons," "Scientists and Thinkers," "Leaders and Revolutionaries," "Builders and Titans" and "Artists and Entertainers."

Rain's concert in May

Actor Jung Ji-hoon, who has devoted himself entirely to shooting , by Old Boy director Park Chan-wook, plans to hold a concert as a singer Rain. He will be on stage for the "ING Festival Simple the Best 2006" at the Seoul Jamsil Olympic Stadium on May 20th. At this concert, other artists including Lee Seung-chul, Buzz, Ivy, and Koyote plan to present powerful performances as well.

Rain to comeback to singing stages in June

Rain will release “Free Way,” his second album in Japan, on June 7th. On January 25th, Rain had released the first single from the album, “Sad Tango,” in Japan that reached 11th place on the Oricon Daily Charts. After more than 5 months, Rain will finally introduce the second single to Japan this summer. The new single will be released in two versions – a limited edition (priced at 1980 yen) and a general version (priced at 1260 yen). The limited edition will include a promotional video and photo cards. Rain, who recently was chosen as one of the candidates for Time Magazine’s “World’s 100 most influential people,” is currently acting in “I’m a Cyborg, But That’s OK,” a new film by director Park Chan-wook. Rain is also planning to release his 4th studio album around October.

Korean pop sensation Rain arrived in Taipei yesterday (28 April 06) for the opening ceremony of a certain brand's flagship store. Ardent fans hired luxurious limos to chase after Rain, and even took pictures while giving chase on the highway, forming a very amusing picture of fans chasing after the superstar.

Arrival of the Storm
Rain arrived in Taipei for the fourth time yesterday. The trip was supposed to be kept under wraps, but because his flight and hotel was revealed, more than 200 fans were already awaiting the superstar when he arived at the airport. The heavenly king smiled at his fans, and the crowd surged forward amidst screams and cheers. Security people realised that the situation was getting out of hand, and had to force crowding fans aside. The scene at the airport was rather chaotic.

The moment Rain came out from the custom, fans immediately tooked their hired limo and gave chase. It was wet in Taipei yesterday, and the fans' limo was driving closely to Rain's limo. All sense of safety thrown aside, they stuck out their cameras and started taking pictures non-stop. Rain's limo was driving fast, but could not get rid of fans' on the chase.

Yesterday afternoon, Rain stayed in Sheraton Hotel and did not step out of his room. However, come night time, after the opening ceremony, he went straight to Mitsu restaurant for his meal. However, as the restaurant was situated beside the hotel, Rain almost went into the wrong entrance, and was steered back by the security.

LV did not reveal the fee they paid for Rain to come to Taipei for the opening ceremony, coining friendship as number one, money as second. Rain left this afternoon at 12.15pm. Even though th trip was short, LV did not slacken on the prestigious treatment for Rain, and ensured that security personnel accompanied Rain all the way on the departure. Rain was also accompanied by the higher management of LV Korea on this trip to Taipei.

Fans couldn't bear to see him go, and many fans, with the superstar standing so close, forgot the unwritten rule of "see no touch" between idols and fans, as they stretched out their hands, trying to have a feel of the superstar...

Rain wore a beige beanie yesterday with an orange t-shirt and jeans to go along. As he walked into the airport with a refreshing smile, some 200 fans went wild, surging forward and tired to get close to the superstar. They almost broke through the safety barrier of the security personnel and followed closely beside Rain. Many stuck out their hands trying to have a feel of Rain's muscular arms. Although Rain's face remained calm and composed, he hastened his steps into and only waved behind the safety behind glass walls.

As there was an unwritten rule between fanclubs which states that fans were not allowed to touch Rain in their chase of the superstar, the moment footage of Rain leaving Taipei was aired on TV, internet forums came alive with heated discussions on this issue, pointing fingers at fans who tried to touch Rain. Some tried to be understanding and said that Rain's strong arms right under their nose were too difficult to resist, hence causing some fans to lose control. This once again proves Rain's irresistable charms. Even the heavy rain did not dampened passions of ardent fans.

Rain Makes TIME World 100 List

Singer and actor Rain has been selected one of the 100 most influential people in the world by American magazine TIME.

Rain is the first Korean entertainer to make the annual list, announced on Sunday morning, local time.

The 23-year-old singer-actor was also voted online as the second most influential person next to Oscar-winner film director, Ang Lee, in the "Artists & Entertainers" section.

The magazine held online voting for three weeks in April via its website.

Thanks to his killer body and dynamic dance moves which exude masculine charm, Rain has ridden the hallyu crest, the Korean wave, and has been looking east to the United States, working hard on English.

He sold out two shows at Madison Square Garden in New York in February.

According to Rain's agency, JYP entertainment, the American magazine said people for the list were chosen mostly based on the opinions of TIME staff and a jury, with online results being only a minor element.

Consequently, at an official invitation, Rain will attend the "TIME 100" Party at New York's Lincoln Center, May 8. Also invited are others chosen for the list including Nigerian Archbishop Peter Akinola and DaimlerChrysler chief, Dieter Zetsche.

Asian star, Rain, who was recently nominated by Times magazine in "100 Most Influential People" poll has been invited by Times magazine to attend an event in New York.

rain's agency has confirmed that Rain has been invited to the "Time 100 Party" at Lincoln Centre, NY

The agency said, "We received the official invitation from Time last week. Although Rain is busy with filming, but this is not just an individual honour, but one that is very meaningful to the country. Therefore, we have accepted the invitation to this event".

The "Time 100 Party" includes a red carpet walk, an award ceremony as well as dinner. Other than Rain, all other award winners will be taking part in the red carpet walk and other official ceremonial activities.

Other than that, Rain, who is currently filming "Cyborg" in Bu-San now expressed, "I'm really very excited. I've been very serious and hardworking, and my lifestyle has now received recognition. So I'm very happy."

The South Korean king of pop also fills seats in Beijing, Pusan and Bangkok. In Hong Kong his concerts sell out in 10 minutes, and across much of Asia, fans snap up pirated videos of his soap operas. Thanks to his angelic face, killer bod and Justin Timber?like dance moves, Rain, 23, has ridden the crest of hallyu, or the Korean wave, the Asia-wide obsession for that country's pop culture. But the ambition that lifted Rain (real name: Ji Hoon Jung) out of a one-room house in Seoul won't be sated by simply conquering the biggest continent on earth.

Rain is looking east to the U.S., studying English day and night. He sold out two shows at Madison Square Garden's smaller venue in February, and that could be just a few drops of the deluge that some think will follow the release of his English-language debut album this fall.
