Bi and Eric, singers who're willing to take a challenge at acting!
In spring, Bi is getting ready to flim his new MBC drama, 'Cruel Love' with an undecided actress.
Up till now, Bi has been acting in KBS's 'Sangdoo yah! Let's go to School!' as a father who earns his money by seducing older women and in KBS's 'Fullhouse' as an arrogant actor named Young Jae. So far, he has played a funny, heart warming role in all of his dramas. However in his new drama, Bi is planning to go down a new road by playing a serious, cold character.
In 'Cruel Love', Bi plays a serious man who meets a woman that looks exatly like his dead mother. As he falls into a 'cruel' and difficult love, Bi is planning to show his cold side to the viewers.
However he is not the only one that is going through a major transformation in acting.
Shinhwa member, Eric, will take his place in the transformation by acting in MBC's new spring drama, 'The New Employee."
In his debut drama, 'I'm Running', Eric played a serious, yet caring role. In the hit MBC drama, 'Boolsae', Eric's character as a romantic, 'good manered' guy allowed him to enter the world of stardom. Through this drama, Eric was able to gain incredible amount of popularity, being named 2004's CF Star.
However in his new, anticipated drama 'The New Employee', Eric plays a rude, funny, and outgoing character that is going to display the 'Brand New Eric'. His new role will be extremely different and surprisingly good, as he tries to lose the image of always being serious and perfect.
Many Shinhwa fans agreed that Eric already proved to the world that he can play a funny role because of the irresistible charm and comedic attitudes he showed in programs that he appeared in. Many people are also excited to see Eric's transformation in his upcoming drama, which will air on March 23.

HE MAY be the Next Big Thing in the Korean showbiz scene, but Rain still has a lot to learn.
As expected, the 23-year-old actor-singer was shy and reticent yesterday during an interview with The New Paper - the only Singapore press he spoke to - at Bangkok's swanky Metropolitan Hotel.
He'll be performing at the MTV Asia Aid concert.
Maybe his personality and charisma got lost in translation (his interpreter was a meek whippet of a girl who appeared to be blander than him).
In fact, he was so soft-spoken that the tape recorder automatically stopped several times because it couldn't detect a voice.
NO CHARM
Evidently, Rain wasn't born with the gentleman charm and gleaming smile of Korea's top auntie-killer Bae Yong Jun, or the maturity and media-savviness of Lee Byung Hun.
And compared to the current heart-throbs in his age group, he lacks Won Bin's aloof coolness and Kwon Sang Woo's cheeky boyishness.
But what the 1.84m-tall hunk with pillowy lips and creamy complexion does possess is the tag of being one of Korea's hottest rising stars.
Rain, whose real name is Jung Ji Hoon, was discovered by top composer-producer Park Jin Young of JYP Entertainment - famous for grooming boy band GOD - in 2000 by chance. At that time Rain was part of a dance group called Fan Club.
Five years on, his third and latest album, It's Raining, topped charts in Korea, and his TV drama Full House is a hit.
Other than acting and singing, he is also currently studying post-modern music in university.
And as with many dreamboats, he has the face of an angel but the dance moves of a devil. He won over the girls, big advertisers and even his country's media, who voted him as 2004's Best Singer and Best Star.
Talk about a Rain(y) season.
But to conquer the A-list, he has to stop giving unimaginative, cliched and boring answers.
When asked about the significance of his moniker, he said that when he was a kid, he 'liked the rain that came from the sky'. In his deep baritone, he told The New Paper: 'But my personality is kind of bright and shiny and humorous, and not really moody like rain.'
Well, he could've fooled us!
But at least Rain chuckled bashfully when we teased him about being a sex symbol.
'No one thinks of oneself as sexy,' he replied.
Then why does he seem to have a penchant for appearing in unbuttoned shirts which flaunt his sinewy torso?
PLUNGING SWEATER
During the press conference, Rain was all covered up in a classy pinstripe suit, but changed into a plunging V-neck sweater - for the interview.
'It's not that I want to show off my body. I'm just going with the flow of the concept of the pictures or the drama or movie.'
Neither is he the Bad Guy as the title of his debut single suggests.
'I think I'm a very kind man. I can't think of any bad things I've done lately, only that when I was a kid, I liked to lie to my parents.'
And what about his rumoured romance with Full House co-star Song Hye Kyo? Rain was accused of being the third party in the break-up of Hye Kyo and Byung Hun.
'There's no scandal there. She's a very close friend, and I was very happy to act in the drama with her,' said Rain, who added he likes girls who are 'very normal' and who 'like him the most'.
Upcoming projects this year include an MBC (Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation) romantic drama. He plays a withdrawn guy who falls for a woman resembling his mum. Filming is to start next month.
But Rain was more keen on discussing tonight's MTV Asia Aid benefit, which supports the tsunami recovery efforts.
He said: 'I want to try my best to get the people who suffered forget their sorrow. And in the future, I want to do dramas and go to Asian countries to tell them about it, and hopefully bring some sort of joy.'
And as for aspiring towards Yong Jun's and Won Bin's 'Heavenly Kings' status, Rain muttered: 'I haven't thought about these things. I have a lot of things to learn from them. I'll try my best every time and maybe one day I'll be like them and be at that place too.'
Judging from this interview, it looks like Rain has a long way to go.

Many top actresses were on the line for the role in "Cruel Love" but at last Go Soyoung was chosen. After the final casting, the team is going to start filming. The cast and team are planning to leave to France on the 24th. The drama is planned to air in May.

about that ring. it looks so generic. siguro kung couple ring nga yan na talagang bug deal sa koreans, ang galig ng choice ng ring kc it's generic and hindi masyadong flashy.
kung cla ng ay close enough to share a couple ring, good for them. i think Bi deserves to have a girl friend. kung hindi ako, si shg na lng.
