Rain Is Invited to the Opening of Hong Kong Disneyland

The grand opening of Hong Kong Disney will be on September 12. Guest list for those invited to this crucial event starts to be released. According to the sources, there is a special guest list for Southeast Asian region including Japan, Taiwan and Korea in addition to a group of Hollywood super stars. Although Twins are unable to join the big show on 11th evening, they will cope with other colleagues to sing Disney’s all time hit “This is a small world”. Besides, Joey Yung will be the only Hong Kong female singer who will take part in the performance.
According to what has been told, Disney has set the guest list for its opening ceremony long before. In order to match with Disney image for its worldwide coverage feature, special guests invited are all reputable international super stars. Invited from Japan includes Kimura Takuya and his wife Shizuka Kudo, who are well-known for their love caring family. On top of them, Japanese famous singer Ayumi Hamasaki will also be invited. Artists from Korea will include Li Ying Ai, Chi Zhen Xi and the current popular singer, Rain. Guests representing Taiwan will be the continuous big hit F4.
Since all these guest artists are top celebrities, Disney intended to request assistance from Hong Kong Tourist Association for sending their “Ying Xiong Tie” (earnest invitations). Nevertheless, final decision has not yet been affirmed. In respect to Hollywood super guest stars, rumors said they would include Julia Roberts, Johnny Depp, John Travolta, etc.
Twins will not be able to join Jackie Chang, Joey Yung, Eson Chan and Andy Hui to perform on the 11th evening due to schedule conflict. However, they will cope with Leung Lok Sze, Kwan Chi Bin, Yumiko Cheng and Boy’z to sing Disney’s all time hit “This is a small world” in Mandarin, Cantonese and English. Days before, they commenced on shooting the MV at Disney. Completed MV will be broadcast at the opening show. As to Kelly Chan, she can’t make for this event due to time conflicts. However, she will join Kellyjackie to film the MV for “He invites me to Disney” in these few days.

Part 1:

Is this your first time in Australia?
This is my third time visiting Australia.
The first time I came here was for my music video, then I came here again because of CF’s, and I’m here again for another CF and sort of like a vacation.
We filmed my first album in Australia, but no one noticed.
I was sort of upset about that. When we made that music video it was difficult, and it was really cold.

What do you feel about Australia?
My first expression was that it was clean and that it was warm. They’re really nice.
This is my third time here, but I didn’t see any Koala’s or Kangaroos.
I only saw a lot of horses, cows, and sheep.
So I felt like something was lacking.
It feels a lot like the first time I came here. It’s peaceful and it seems like a nice place to live.

When you get on and off of the plane, whom do you call?
Of course it’s my family. But there are sometimes when I call my friends.
I usually call my dad, my dad always tells me to take care of myself, eat a lot, and he tells to come back safely.
I usually use roaming service; I call so often that it doesn’t really feel that we are apart.
The funny thing is that when I’m overseas family and friends always ask, “Did you eat?” They always have to make sure. Just, that just made me curious.

Part 2:

Is there a vacationing place that is memorable?
I like all cities. My favorite city is La because they have lots of clothes.
I go to LA because of work but after we finished filming, shopping is my greatest pleasure.
Also in LA there are a lot of Korean people but they don’t recognize me.
All this time and all the places I’ve gone Paris has the most beautiful scenery and buildings.

Then so far what city fits with you the best?
Mmm, I think Soul fits me the best.
I like our country the best. Even though they have good stuff, I looked around at other countries nowhere is as free and peaceful as Korea.
Of course when I go abroad and people don’t notice me and I feel free, but still Soul is the best.
Lately I’ve been out of the country and spending most of the time away from home, I could have gotten homesick.
Anyway, the place I lived for 20 years fits me the best.

When you’re on a vacation, what do you have to buy?
First I have to buy sneakers. Almost on every single vacation, I think it’s a habit
Also, I also buy a lot of clothes that are out for donation, used clothes.
I like things that are intresting and unique so I usually buy accessories that easily come to the eye, so I usually just buy those.
The truth is, I never buy anything expensive, because I won’t wear it. When I give gifts to my family I give them simple shirts or something like that.

When you went shopping is there a story you would like to tell?
I like the Marc Jacobs fragrance a lot lately.
It’s perfume but I really liked the smell of it, usually I use that one.
So when I first knew about this smell, it was in an American gay shop.
Coincidentally I went in there and a black man had on the smell, so I asked him what it was.
After that I bought it and kept using the perfume.
Oh, please don’t misunderstand. ^^;

You really enjoy driving, right?
Yes! I really like to drive. When I touch the handle I have to go for a quick ride, then I’ll be satisfied.
I really like sports cars. Because they look cool! But I don’t want to have one right now. Later when I’m 50-60, I think that’s the right time.
At first you think it’s going to fit you really well, but that’s just what people think.
When grandpa’s where jeans don’t they look better? That’s why I tell my dad to wear jeans.

Right now, do you get along with the people well?
Right now I don’t think I’m on the close side of the people.
But I get along with the models I’m shooting with pretty well.
From my side if I go open-heartedly and I’m comfortable around them, I think they come open-heartedly too. Even though my English isn’t that great it was ok?
If I just smile really big they smile back at me.

Part 3:

Before you became a star what was the most memorable vacation?
I went to the Dea Jun Beach with a couple of my friends. But this is actually a sad memory. We didn’t have any money so we couldn’t eat correctly and we didn’t have a place to sleep.
Maybe it was because it was the vacationing time one ramen was about $8 - $9 and the dwean jang jee kea was about $14 - $10. At the end with my friends we ate ramen but we were still really hungry. It is a bad memory, but after all if you think about it, it is a memory. Now, when I travel I can travel really bountiful.
Hahaha~~~maybe because of that now when I go to a nice hotel I’m really happy.

Then after you became a star what was the most memorable vacation?
Before I was with Dream Team and I really liked the group.
The Country KoKo Hyungs, Sang Jin Hyung, and some other people and I have a really fun memory of that.
That was while I was becoming a star, and I had less time on my hands then.
Right now I don’t have the time in my heart, which is kind of a loss.

Did you ever go on a vacation by yourself?
Never, not once. I don’t even have in mind going on a vacation by myself.
When I’m on a vacation I always have to have someone to talk to.
Because if you go by yourself you’ll be lonely. If I did go on a vacation I would like to go with my closest friends.
You can cuss when you want to, just a friend that you can speak freely too. Right now friends that I point out, I have other than celebrities, are three people. With those three friends I want to go on a trip.

Do you have any past memories about the ocean?
Yes, probably because I really enjoy swimming.
If you say the ocean, I have many funny memories about it.
But out of those before I drank beer with Jin Young Hyung and swam.
Uh, this isn’t good for kid’s~but anyway the water was really cold and it felt good.

You enjoy fishing too?
I really like it. When I go on a fishing trip with my dad I just sit there for three hours without moving.
During the time we wait together we just talk about this and that. After you wait along time and you catch a big fish, you feel really proud.
After we catch the fish we just let it go. My dad says that if you’re not hungry you should just let it back go.

When you go on a vacation, what do you feel the most?
Lately I’ve been feeling I’ve been spending too much time abroad.
It’s because I spend so little time, but of course I always feel like I should spend more time with my family.
Going on trips are fun, but I always think about my family.
Maybe it’s because I’m the oldest.
I especially want to take care of my little sister.

Right now what position would you rank yourself?
Right now, I think I’m right at the middle.
My 2nd album did make a success; I still have a long way to go. I still have things I want to practice and I still have a lot of things to learn.
Anyway, I don’t care how other people rank me. The most important thing is that if I’m satisfied. I still have a ways to go.

At least I’m lazy once in a while. Sometimes I do more than I should, sometimes I don’t.
Sometimes I oversleep and that’s when I’m lazy.

In the future where/how do you want to go?
I always want to be truthful and life confidently.
I also want to live with lots of effort.
I don’t want to become lazy, but that doesn’t mean I want to be a workaholic, I just want to keep going.
Like right now I want to work enjoying it.
I want to show a more truthful me from me.

Is there one country you would like to go to?
Japan. I really want to go there. The truth is, I went there a couple of times but I still want to go again. I don’t want to go to Japan to shop.
I think there are lots of interesting things in the country. First the scenery and the culture are unique.
Next year I’m planning to go to Japan next year to promote my album. I hope that time hurry’s up and come. I’ll just have to wait.

How well do you think your English is?
I know the basic that you need to go on a vacation.
When I order food or when I goshopping I’m pretty good, but I can’t get into anything more complex.
Japanese is a little easier to communicate for me. Because I study it, Japanese is at first easy but then it get harder and harder.
But I can do it. Before I made my 2nd album I even had a Japanese tutor, but now I forgot most of it.
But from now, I’m expecting to study it again.

What is your personal dream vacation?
If I have a girlfriend I want to go to a resort with her.
Like the Phillippines. First because I like things that are hot, and I like the ocean.Also because there are things that I like shrimp, fish, and food that came out of the sea. But out of all, mostly the beach. I want to go water-skiing with my girlfriend.
A lot of people are saying that I stay away from girls and I like guys.
But that’s not true, I LIKE GIRLS!

After you finish the job in Australia where are you going?
First I’m going to Beijing and meet up with Jin-Young hyung. I think we’re going to open a showcase there. We’re going to show the promotion. Probably in the middle of April I’ll be probably be overseas to the different Asian countries

Rain invited to Disney opening - HK Sun Daily 04.08.2005

HK Disneyland will hold its opening ceremony on the 12th of next mth. Takuya Kimura, Ayumi Hamasaki, Lee Young Ae, Jin Ji Hee, Rain and F4 are expected to grace this event, so it is going to be one star-studded ceremony! It is also in the plans of Disney to invite these stars to come in to HK earlier and it will be arranged for them to stay at the Disney Hotel.

Joey hopes to meet Rain in Disney - (HK) Ta Kung Pao 05.08.2005

Joey Yung attended a mobile phone promotion event yesterday. At the event, she performed her new song <Hao Shi Duo Wei>, and revealed that this song has been sent to Korea for the mixing to be done. Reason for doing so is that she feels that Korea's music is very well produced. Although she had developed a liking for korean idol, Rain recently, she denies that he is the reason for the hk-korea collaboration this time round.

It was reported that Joey is the only hk female singer who is scheduled to perform at the upcoming Disney opening ceremony. She confessed that she will be performing with a foreign artiste, and that they will probably be performing english songs. As for the identity of this foreign artiste, Joey initially expressed that she do not know who the person is. However when it was mentioned that Rain will also be performing, and she was asked if she hopes to perform together with Rain, she said smilingly: "Is he coming?!" As for whether she's looking forward to meeting Rain in Disneyland, she said, rather embarrassingly: "Ok la!", after which she laughed and said she must start holding back a bit and stop talking about Rain every now and then.

Rain popular, Jay in danger! The might of hallyu wave! - 02.08.2005

Jay Chou's single eyelids has met its match in korean superstar, Rain. Ever since his album promotion trip to HK, Rain has become the new beloved of young girls, and he is now the hot target of various commercial bodies.

Japanese cosmetics brand - DHC had previously paid Jay Chou HKD$36 million to be its endorser. DHC originally had very high hopes on Jay but during the launch of his 2nd DHC ad, Jay announced his love relationship with Patty Hou. Revealing of one's love relationship is already a big no no for a popular idol, add that to the rumors that he was guilty of being in love with 2 girls at one time (the other being Jolin Tsai), his image is greatly affected.

Although his debut movie <Initial D> enjoyed high ratings after that, but when it comes to popularity, Jay still loses out to Rain. A <Full House> propelled Rain to stardom in various countries such as China, HK, Japan...etc. It is rumored that DHC intends to replace Jay with Rain, because after Rain completes his Tokyo concerts, he'll be coming to HK to hold his own solo concert, and it is expected that a new wave of frenziness will once again accompany this trip of his.

When this topic was raised to Rain's HK manager, Chen Jia Ying, she expressed that as DHC's in charge is an old friend of hers, they have always kept in contact. As for whether they will collaborate, she cannot reveal anything now. She admits that recently quite a number of commercial bodies had expressed their desire to have Rain as their product endorser, she said: "We'll see which type of ad it is, most importantly is that it must suit Rain's image and price. He's still very young, hence we have to be careful in the selection, hope that the ad that we take on will be beneficial both to the product, and to Rain's future development."

Bi & Sung Yuri #1 casting for movie/drama

Park Chanwook and Yoon Sukho PD picked Bi and Sung Yuri as #1 casting for movies and dramas.

Both PDS are known to have wonderful productions and performance so lots of celebrities want to work with them. It is known that both PDS have Bi & Sung Yuri in mind for their new movie/dramas.

Park Chanwook PD was invited to the 62th Venice International Film Festival for his movie "Kind Gumja" and was able to attend 3 Film Festivals world wide.

On this day Park Chanwook PD meet Bi at the VIP Film Festival. This was the first time both met each other. But Park Chanwook said "Lets see each other again." and asked for Bi's cell phone number.

Park Chanwook called Bi few days later and met in a cafe in Seoul. Both of them became friendly by talking about acting. Park Chanwook had said that he wants Bi as the male lead for his new HD movie.

Bi always liked Park PD's productions but he came out without any preparations and was given an offer with surprise. Bi replied "When your scenario comes out i would like to read it."

Last Weekend, Bi had held a concert in Tokyo, Japan. During an interview he said "I want to do a movie where i can show off my acting skills." We were curious to know whether there was a possibility of Bi appearing in Park PD's movie. But Bi's company JYP Entertainment said "Right Now we are only looking at dramas."

Yoon SukHo PD who has been working on the drama "Spring Waltz" for two months has been talking to Sung Yuri's company Sidus HQ about casting her in the drama.

It was known that Kim Taehee was going to be the female lead but because of troubles with her company, it was canceled. Afterwards Yoon SukHo PD took out "Sung Yuri Card" and has been trying to cast her in the drama.

Yoon SukHo PD never gave any points for singer turned actresses but this time he liked Sung Yuri's passion for acting and her improvements in acting everytime she came out in a new drama. On Sung Yuri's side "We are meeting with Yoon SukHo PD about the drama but casting decisions has not been made yet."

We are curious whether Park Chanwook and Yoon SukHo PD will have Bi and Sung Yuri casted in their new productions.

In the interview with newswriters after finishing successfully ‘Live Concert in Japan Rainy Day’ his first exclusive concert in Japan July 30~31, Rain said he wanted to hear “Rain is very enduring as a TV actor as well as as a singer.”

비는 “‘상두야 학교가자’를 위해서 77편의 영화와 수십편의 드라마를 보면서 연구했음에도 캐릭터가 좋아서 비가 성공했다라는 말만 들었다”고 입을 뗀 뒤 “풀하우스때도 시청률이 40%가 나오는 데도 “캐릭터가 너무 좋았다”는 이야기만 들었다”며 아쉬움을 털어 놓았다.
“Despite the fact that I had watched and studied 77 pieces of movies and dozens of dramas for the sake of ‘Sangdu, Let’s Go to School’, I used to be told that I succeeded all because the character was only too good,” Rain opened his mouth expressing something unsatisfied inside, “I was also told ‘the character is only too good’ even when the audience rating of ‘Full House’ was 40%.”

Jay Chou's single eyelids has met its match in korean superstar, Rain. Ever since his album promotion trip to HK, Rain has become the new beloved of young girls, and he is now the hot target of various commercial bodies.

Japanese cosmetics brand - DHC had previously paid Jay Chou HKD$36 million to be its endorser. DHC originally had very high hopes on Jay but during the launch of his 2nd DHC ad, Jay announced his love relationship with Patty Hou. Revealing of one's love relationship is already a big no no for a popular idol, add that to the rumors that he was guilty of being in love with 2 girls at one time (the other being Jolin Tsai), his image is greatly affected.

Although his debut movie <Initial D> enjoyed high ratings after that, but when it comes to popularity, Jay still loses out to Rain. A <Full House> propelled Rain to stardom in various countries such as China, HK, Japan...etc. It is rumored that DHC intends to replace Jay with Rain, because after Rain completes his Tokyo concerts, he'll be coming to HK to hold his own solo concert, and it is expected that a new wave of frenziness will once again accompany this trip of his.

When this topic was raised to Rain's HK manager, Chen Jia Ying, she expressed that as DHC's in charge is an old friend of hers, they have always kept in contact. As for whether they will collaborate, she cannot reveal anything now. She admits that recently quite a number of commercial bodies had expressed their desire to have Rain as their product endorser, she said: "We'll see which type of ad it is, most importantly is that it must suit Rain's image and price. He's still very young, hence we have to be careful in the selection, hope that the ad that we take on will be beneficial both to the product, and to Rain's future development."

Handshaking with Japanese fans

bi'ers,I got some information about the handshake meeting in Osaka .
My English is not very good ,but i 'm happy to translate some to share with all of you.And hope it is not too late.

This meeting is mostly held for the boy who suffered from the kidney function disease and ever appeared at Bi's birsday. The place is near the hotel .
Before Bi appeared ,MC told the fans Bi was very tired and hoped they showed understanding.And then Bi come out.White shirt, silvery bow, black suit, jeans ,he looked very handsome and also very tired.
He said "hi" to the fans with smell but the sound was hoarse. (When the 2nd concert was end,all the fans cried "one more song".He sat down and said:" sorry ,I'm tired,very tired)
Next Bi must answer 10 questions from fans.The first is that "if you are a person who cant be seen by other people( do you understand that meaning ?sorry ,i dont know how to translate the word),What do you want to do most?".He thought for a moment ,and said if he had a GF,he most wanted to go to her home.(So cute).
Another question is " how much weight did you lost ?(He always lost weight at the previous period)".He answered 5Kg,but now become a little fat back.The method is mostly controlling diet, eating more food high in protein content ,
no drinking carbonic acid beverage,and doing more physical exercises .If you dont notice control the diet ,it is useless even if you do more physical practise.

The rest questions werent mentioned by the author.

Bi shook hands with every fan ,and said"thank you" to them in Japan.He really looked very tired and the motion seemed a little machinery .(pitying boy!)

Recently, Rain have been going around Korea, Japan, Hong Kong and China doing promotion rounds. As a result of this massive travelling,confusion of the different languages occurred. In China where he had to say "dui bu qi" (means 'sorry' in mandarin), he said "sumimase"(means 'sorry' in japanese), and when he was in Japan, he said "dui bu qi" instead, seems like he himself couldn't quite take it anymore.

A few days ago, Rain held his first-ever solo concert in Japan. The Japanese fans kept shouting his real name "Jung Ji Hoon", and Rain too played out his part by tearing his shirt on the stage, revealing a perfectly-proportioned top half of his body, sending the Japanese girls into a wild frenzy.

Rain laughed and said: "I cannot remember how many shirts I have torn, luckily the crew had prepared extra outfits." In the concert, he especially dedicated the song <Can't Get Used To It> to his mum. His dad and sister, who were watching from the audience stands, wept when he sang the song.

His singing career is currently at its peak, Rain hopes that he can also gain recognition for his acting. He revealed that to act out <Full House>, he actually watched 77 movies in order to study others' acting skills.

Rain to act with Jackie Chan - 07.08.2005

It's understood that Korean hunk Rain will be collaborating with Jackie Chan in a movie by JCE (Jackie's movie company) called <BB Plan>, to be directed by Chen Musheng. Filming is estimated to start in end October in HK. It is believed that sparks will fly off the set with this unique pairing.

As understood, the movie company is attracted to Rain's tall and handsome image. Add that to the recent wave of Hallyu, hence the movie company is trying hard to get Rain to act out this movie. It is also understood that the movie company have had contacted Rain's management agency several times to discuss about the movie, but as Rain's managerial contract involves both Korea and Japan's management agencies, the movie contract will require the consent of both agencies. The director, Chen Musheng forsees the difficulty in getting Rain to commit to the movie, hence he will flying down to Japan personally next week, to discuss the project with Rain's japanese management. Once everything is confirmed, Rain will be scheduled to come to HK and do a formal meet-up with his idol, Jackie Chan.

Our reporter telephoned the movie company to confirm this news, and their spokesperson admitted that they are indeed in talks with Rain regarding this movie project. As for the whether this collaboration will come true, the spokesperson said that they cannot confirm this as both parties has yet to sign the contract. It is understood that other than Jackie Chan and Rain, other actors involved in <BB Plan> include Eric Tsang and Samuel Hung. Rain's role in the movie will be that of an accomplished thief. Other than showing off the comedian side of him, there will also be alot of action scenes involved. Rain's fans will definitely have a ball of a time watching the movie.

Hello~ This is RAIN.

It’s been a while.
I was quite busy with preparation of Japan concerts. Now I have come back after the satisfactory completion of the concerts!^^
I was nervous since that it was my first concerts in Japan, but the supports from many of my Korean fans who came to the concerts made me feel safe.
I am grateful to those fans who came all the way to Japan and yelled out my name, and also to my fans CLOUDs who cheered me in Korea! I thank you all!
I worked hard to show you the best of myself. I wonder how you would grade me!

I’ll be having another set of concerts in Budokan, the best concert hall in Japan.
I am in the middle of the preparation to show you a bit different show for Budokan concerts. I hope to have your expectation for that. And please come and support me^^
Yet, I had one concert right after I arrived in Korea. It was pouring during the show.
I worried about the fans who were sitting in the rain: be careful not to catch a cold!
I am a bit under the weather because of my heavy schedule.
I know I must’ve shown a good show to those fans who came all the way. I apologize.
I feel a lot better after I had a good rest for a day!^^

In order to catch more personal pictures of Bi, about 15 paparazzi from Hong Kong and Taiwan have arrived in Korea, creating an emergency situation for Bi's management agency.
JYP Entertainment recieved a phone call from Bi's Hong Kong managers, "Bi's incredible popularity has caused these paparazzi to come to Seoul in an effort to capture images of Bi's private life on camera, so make sure you're careful."
Early in July, Bi came to Hong Kong in order to promote his "It's Raining" album with Universal Records. In Hong Kong, TVB's drama, Full House, had already gained an immense amount of popularity. When Bi arrived at the airport, there was a crowd of over 15,000 fans, and by the next day, news of Bi's arrival had spread like wildfire.
The same goes for his popularity in Taiwan. Bi's third album, "It's Raining" gained much fame in July, topping the G-Music Charts and "Asia Section Weekly Top 20" Charts. At the same time, Bi gained popularity in Japan among bands 라르크 앙 시엘, 윈즈.

On top of this, Bi's "It's Raining" album has spread to Thailand, China, Singapore, and Indonesia through Universal Records. Over 150,000 copies have been sold in these parts of Asia. Also, in Vietnam and Indonesia, there are high possiblities and proposals of future Bi concerts.
JYP Entertinament said, "After Korean celebrities have visited Hong Kong, there have been many cases of paparazzi pictures ending up on various magazines. Even when Bi was in Hong Kong, many paparazzi cameras would follow him."
"We have recieved calls from the Hong Kong management warning us of the arrival of the paparazzi. If Bi has no other schedules, he will only be staying at his house and recording studio, which causes us not to worry about his regular lifestyle. But we need to prepare for the situation and make sure to be careful."
