Vivian Hsu's newest album "Vivi And" yesterday (19th) was released. Ex-boyfriend Vanness Wu sent flowers to show his good wishes, but in the card, under Vic, he only wrote one sentece "Wish your album sells good.", obviously colder than usual. Vivian revealed that she will phone everyone who sent her flowers. What about Vanness? Her response from her publicist: "Called him, everyone's still friends."

At the press meeting, Vivian specially wore a sexy white dress for the reporter meeting, and sang "I Still Believe" with Gary Cao Ge. Gary was nervous, and kissed Vivian's hands, letting Vivian squeal: "Cao Ge being nervous is so cute!"

The lyrics for "I Still Believe" is about courageously believing in love and remembering it, so the record company specially decorated the reporters meeting like a wedding feel, and also invited three pairs of 35 years, 38 years, and 40 years married couples to see.

For this album, there was a lot of family collaborations. Uncle Da Jing rapped in "Mermaid", brother also helped write lyrics, and older sister's child was in the "I Still Believe" MV, and also showed up at the press conference, making the reporters feel very warmed up.

New song "Mermaid" was number 2 ringtone downloaded, before the album even came out, so at the reporters meeting, many fans specially celebrated for Vivian by giving her flowers. Her friends who couldn't show up Liu Jiu Zhe, Shu Qi, Alyssa Jia, Alan Luo, Gigi Liang all wished her good luck on VCR. As for Jerry Yan, Zai Zai Vic Chou, Ken Zhu, and Vanness Wu all sent her flowers.

It's good that he didnt, too much focus will be on him. it will arouse resentment, however much the other parties dont want to but its a very natural human feelings. Jerry understands this very well. one can see fom the example of TH charity screening, the focus was on Jerry. the media did try to "provoke" Fei Xiang with this when he was back in TW during 9/06, hinting thats why he didnt joined TH charity screening in 8/06, fearing that Jerry will overshadow him.

i recalled 1 incident posted by a Jerry's fan, it was long ago, during a F4's event in 2001/2. this fan was seated very near to the stage, can see very clearly. when it was Jerry or ZZ up the stage, there was so much screaming & applause. this incident occurs after Jerry has finished, it was the turn of another member of the group to come out, the reactions were much quieter. according to this fan, can see the expression changed on his face. its just a very natural human feeling, its in all of us.

so ganun pala yun....pero im sure disappointing din yun sa mga fans ni Jerry... jia you Jerry!

As you know, Xu Da Ming invited Dr. Su to have dinner at home. At first, Dr. Su thought that it was just to celebrate Xu's promotion, but actually, Xu wanted to introduce Dr. Su to his daughter Xu Cui Feng. After dinner, all of them were supposed to attend a Jazz concert, but Xu Da Ming and his wife left before it started on purpose and asked Su to take care of Cui Feng. Once her parents left, Cui Feng called her boyfriend and skipped the concert. As Dr. Su promised to take care of her that night, he went to the bar/club with Cui Feng. Cui Feng's boyfriend appeared to flirt around. When Dr. Su gave Cui Feng a ride home, both realized that they didn't have the intention to be boyfriend and girlfriend. However, Cui Feng indicated that she would find Su again as she needs his help whenever she is arranged to meet other people by his father.

One day, Cui Feng brought an injured doggy to the hospital and asked Su to treat it. The other day, she brought a coffee maker to Su's office as she felt that the canned coffee she drank the other day with Su in the hospital tasted awful. She asked Su to go shopping for birthday present with her but Su refused by saying that he was working. So Cui Feng said that she would go to her dad's office first and waited for Su to finish his work. Dr. Chen was also in Su's office. Chen asked Su to court Cui Feng but Su said nonsense. Chen said something like, "I know that you don't dislike her. Even if you don't court her, don't run away. She will come after you." Su disagreed as he knew that Cui Feng has a boyfriend and he has Guan Xin (he thought).


A few days after the "apartment incident" and Guan's request for more time, Su told Guan Xin in the operation room?, "...I won't be defeated easily. I won't lose my patience easily. As long as you need me, I will always be here for you." Su continued to be down while waiting for Guan's decision. Cui Feng showed up at Su's office and asked him to buy her dinner, as she claimed that Su needed to apologize to her. Su promised to have dinner with her although he didn't know what he had done.

At the dinner, Cui Feng blamed Su for his absense when she kept waiting for him at her dad's office (the day she asked Su to shop present with her). After dinner, they both noticed that they were unhappy because of their boyfriend/girlfriend. Cui Feng even pretended to be Harry Potter's character for cheering Su up (Su used the same way trying to cheer Guan up in episode 24/25). Cui Feng said that she believed that each person has/can learn the magic which can make the one he/she really loves happy. Then Su remembered the time when he also used the lines in "Harry Potter" to cheer Guan up and told her that he was willing to attend the magic school if he could learn/know the magic to make Guan happy. When Su refused to tell Cui Feng what exactly happened to him, she bit him playfully. Then she left.

Philippines Update: The Hospital


According to ebolash of jerryyanfamily philippines, her friend over at the ABS-CBN, the TV network which got the rights for showing of The Hospital in the Philippines, relayed to her that the much-awaited drama WON'T BE SHOWN UNTIL THE LAST PART OF THIS YEAR. Instead, it will be shown NEXT YEAR (2007) BECAUSE ABS-CBN IS STILL LOOKING FOR THE RIGHT TIME SLOT.

In addition, her friend reasoned out that it is because The Hospital is not a usual idol drama. The Hospital, her friend said, has a slight INTELLECTUAL subject matter and has a HEAVY DRAMA PLOT.

Seems that ABS-CBN, because of the cut-throat network war, is keeping its "ACES" at the moment, in preparation for a stronger and heavier soap opera fight next year.

So fans of Jerry Yan and The Hospital in the Philippines, might as well settle for its nightly cable broadcast over at Destiny (the rival of ABS-CBN's Sky cable) for the meantime. Those non-Destiny subscribers have to settle for torrent download over at the internet.

Never ending comparisons of Jerry with others. 1st with Jay Chou when both released their albums in 8/2004, then with Leon Dai in The Hospital, then with Korean artistes when Jerry went to Japan in 9/06 & now with Takeshi Kaneishiro as to who's the top Tw male artiste in Japan .

according to the above news article, which is unconfirmed, Sony wants to replace TK with Jerry as their spokesperson, contract is for 3 years with a big amount allocated for advertising budget . the reason of replacement is bcos of Jerry's huge popularity, not only in Japan but other parts of Asia, overtaking TK, etc, etc. also, Jerry is considered part Sony as his singing contract is under SonyBmg, etc, etc.

Jiang Yi Peng replied that there is no such thing.

i hope not too, TK is under Fu Long, big trouble for Jerry if he replaces TK in Sony. unless the Sony products endorsed by Jerry is different than those endorsed by TK, then i think it wont be a problem. but seeing how the media loves to stir controvery & conflicts by all these comparisons, aiyo.

According to ebolash of jerryyanfamily philippines, her friend over at the ABS-CBN, the TV network which got the rights for showing of The Hospital in the Philippines, relayed to her that the much-awaited drama WON'T BE SHOWN UNTIL THE LAST PART OF THIS YEAR. Instead, it will be shown NEXT YEAR (2007) BECAUSE ABS-CBN IS STILL LOOKING FOR THE RIGHT TIME SLOT.

In addition, her friend reasoned out that it is because The Hospital is not a usual idol drama. The Hospital, her friend said, has a slight INTELLECTUAL subject matter and has a HEAVY DRAMA PLOT.

Seems that ABS-CBN, because of the cut-throat network war, is keeping its "ACES" at the moment, in preparation for a stronger and heavier soap opera fight next year.

So fans of Jerry Yan and The Hospital in the Philippines, might as well settle for its nightly cable broadcast over at Destiny (the rival of ABS-CBN's Sky cable) for the meantime. Those non-Destiny subscribers have to settle for torrent download over at the internet.

According to the newest cover news issue of “Times Weekly,” Yan Cheng Xu’s (Jerry) just-concluded Fan Gathering in Japan, overwhelmingly conquered Takeshi’s Japanese base, where he even got Sony Japan’s good graces, and offered him a 3 year endorsement contract for 100 million! Jerry’s manager and consultant Jing Yi Peng said,” We haven’t discussed about it up to now,” Takeshi’s manager Zhang Han Jin said that his endorsement contract with Sony expired a long time ago.

In “Next” Magazine article, although Takeshi has many fans from Hong Kong and Taiwan, he is nowhere to be found. But the “close –to-the-people idol” Jerry attacks the cities. A year ago, Takeshi was taken in to endorse the SONY VAIO computer series. But now SONY changed to seek for Jerry and plans to sign-in a 100 million 3-year contract with Jerry. If the contract will go smoothly, Jerry is hoped to be “Japan’s First Taiwanese Star.”

Although Jerry is rumored to replace Takeshi, yet in The Hospital drama, his lowly dog (a Bull Terrier) got a bigger tail than him. Many drama fans of the official website of The Hospital (http://the-hospital.com/bbs/index.php) sent out queries on how to buy Jerry’s very cute pet dog. Why did Tan Hua only appeared in the first episode? In fact, its because that dog is really a big advertisement. Director Cai Yue Xun explained, that whle they were borrowing the location site for the house of Dr. Su Yi Hua, the house owner’s pet is that cute Bull Terrier model. When it shows itself in the lens, it was still unpredictable. In the evening it also strikes back and they had to let it disappear. He remained afraid and said “It went up to the peak of Yu Shan, strong like a bull, desperately hitting a man’s lower part, so it’s too awful to know that.”

In Ep. 29, in the scene in the morning where her( XU AN AN ) dad was cooking breakfast. she asked her dad whether 2 persons from different world can be happy together. her dad told her that he & her mum are from different world, she's the daughter of a shopkeeper, when her mum married him, a doctor, her family feels as if they have struck gold. he told his daughter that trust in each other is most important in a r'ship & marriage, he trusts his wife totally & vice versa, that's why they have such a happy & warm marriage. when HCF asked him whether he has even abuse that trust, he said never. when HCF asked her dad whether Dr Su is a trustworth person, he replies that personally & professionally, Dr Su is a person that can be dependant on. that's when HCF indicates to her dad that she wants to go after Dr Su.

can see her interest in Dr Su on the nite where he accompanied whole nite, playing games, the part where he as batting the baseball, HCF was looking at him with a different expression.

Dr Qiu's downfall going to start soon. a patient is suing him for medical negligence, something abt not cleaning the wound properly, causing an infection that almost caused the patient to die. this happens in Dr Chen Sr's hospital, he's has conduct a thorough investigation & finds there's truth in the patient's claim. Dr Chen Sr is starting his revenge on Dr Qiu for backing out during the vote for his son's promotion. something is not right with Dr Chen Jr's health. Dr Su asked him to do a thorough check but he refuses.

Jerry's fans all like DC very much, he has always spoken out for Jerry & Jerry admires DC very much. both understands each other very well as both are very serious towards work & both have the same trait of perfectionism, both have respect for each other.

while for AC, Jerry's fans have detested her since MG2, the way she tried to hide the truth during MG2 presscon abt Jerry being sick & cant attend the presscon. & after that, trying all ways to pull Jerry down eversince Jerry held his personal presscon to reveal that reason that he was unable to attend the presscon, how MG2 was in such chaos with constant change of director & change of script, how sick he was at the ending of filming, etc, etc. MG2 was the last serial Jerry did for AC.

rumours is that Director Chai have a fallout with Angie Chai when he was directing God Mars for her. that was his last directoral project for AC. DC have since set up his own production company, Yang Ming, which produces TH. he's now both producer & director. that's why he has a free hand in selecting the cast of TH. & DC did an excellent job in casting, selecting very good artistes to represent 3 generations : the old (such as Dr Tang, Dr Hsu), the middle-aged (Leon Dai) & the young (Jerry, Janine, XAA).

Jerry has already indicated that he's no longer interested in idol dramas & he waited for so long to do another tv serial such as TH as TH is not an idol drama. that's why Jerry's fans all dont like it when AC announced to the media that she wants Jerry to act in her idol drama as part of the projects for TW Tourism Ambassador & also the fact that Jerry, no longer under her mgt, was not informed of anything prior to her announcement to the media.

Chpt 25- we're really moving up the highway now, this chapter is ful of Dr. So, and every episode seems building up to another climax, can't wait to see the next chapter, can't miss.



In this episode, I'll give Jerry full score again - acted really well and natural. Even though both him & Hsu & Quan are driving scenes but the audience can see clearly the differences. The way he talks to Quan, I feel that he is under a certain kind of pressure and insecure as he is uncertain whether Quan really likes her.His conversataion with Hsu is more relaxed without pressure.

I agreed Hsu is a much more adorable and cheerful character than Quan, and even for a pro-Quan camp like me, I can see So can be very relaxed with Hsu but not Quan. ).But the reason for that is because he cares Quan a lot more than Hsu, he may quite like her, but Quan is the one he loves. I can only say, love sometimes are quite irrational. 1+1 not necessarily =2.

For Quan, I agree her behaviour appears very annoying, keeps swinging, and doesn't seem to know what she wants, or sure what she wants. But even until to date, and despite what she has done in the past, I still believe she loves So. So is expressive but she is very very repressive, esp after that incident, she has completely shut herself up. Rather than saying she loves Zhong very much, I think a more correct saying is that she suffers heavily from this relationship and it takes her 10 yrs to recover from the pain.

Given Quan's personality, if she doesn't love So, she wouldn't bother to give out love signals no matter how proactive the other is - the lawyer is a classic example (her ego is too high for that, so So is not her safety net, but rather it is the first guy she falls for after that painful incident. If she doesn't love so, there won't be episode 7 - the rainy scene, the bathrobe scene, and there won't be the 1st and 2nd kissing scenes. For a personality like Quan, this won't happen without love.

In the autograph, it was mentioned that Zhong's comeback makes many believe that Quan swing again, but in fact it is not her intention to resume the relationship, but rather put a formal end to this relationship. By forgiving him, she has also freed herself from this past shadow. I think she really wants to start as clean slate with So. But the timing is bad again, whilst she is recovering from the past pain, Hsu has walked iinto So's life. This makes Quan scared again - it takes her so long to get out, she really lost confidence and guts to get in again - if it doesn't work out, will she be able to recover again. If standing in her shoes, can kind of understand - afterall the 2 incidents are too similar, and Hsu probably is even more pro-active in courting So.

Perhaps if there are some verbal pressentation of the inner emotions of Quan, it can make more audience to sympathise this character. However, although Quan is not a lovable character, I can sort of understand why she chose to leave, if looking at the last goodbye episode, I think the pain she suffers will not be less than So, because So has already occupies an important place in her heart. I think though the ending is that both goes separate route, but they do share happy and precious moments together, and both will always occupy an important place in each other's heart.

It is not Zhong, but rather Hsu's appearance which cause the turn. So being the chosen one and as a result of repeated disappointments, is pushed up the power ladder, irrespective of whether he wants it or not. The story is getting more and more interesting, each chapter is unfolding more conflicts, can't wait, can't miss the next chapter. If audience are finding some of the previous chapters a bit slow, I'ld say now we are moving into a highway, and each episode is leading to the change of Dr. So.

I think Quan at this moment is still struggling between the past and the present. I think it is unfair to say she doesn’t love So, because from all her previous love gesture and the love gestures shown in the car scene e.g. she wants to tie the new gift around her neck, and her removal of the old necklace in the next chapter, shows that she has accepted So and really wants to terminate the past relationship. But I agree at this point her love for So is not strong enough to rule out the past. But let’s be patient, I think some fundamental change is going to happen to Quan in the next few chapters. Tonight probably is a very heart-broken scene, but starting from tomorrow onwards, I think there is going to be a swift turn – Quan finally cleared herself out of the past and is ready to start a new chapter, but the timing is against her now, as Hsu has walked into So’s lives, and unlike all his previous secret admirers – Wen Li, Sum Peng, Hsu is very very proactive and aggressive. I think it is then Quan’s turn for envy and regret and fear too – seems walking into another hole which she tried so hard to get out of. So her final choice, though disappointing, is not totally unexpected. One may say she is a coward, or a pragmatics (she can’t be convinced that she can be good enough to keep So), but she does love So, but whatever is done cannot be undone, no matter how strong their love is, she won’t believe this can overcome this stain, and all the temptations ahead of So. Also perhaps the past has really made a deep cut in her, which makes her very insecure even in the face of a lot of re-assurance of Dr. So. This can kind of understand, because our Dr. So is such a popular and charmisatic man, tons of secret admirers and now the target of Hsu – the top gal. She doesn’t want to ever be hurt again so she chose an ordinary vllage doctor as her life partner. He may not be the one she loves but definitely the most safe harbour she can anchor.

I think the act of Dr Kwan still wearing Dr Zhong's necklace after 10 years settles the fact for me that she has not forgotten him & still has feelings for him till he reappears 10 years later. Its only then that she decides to end it all & really focus on her r'ship with Dr Su. I suppose that's why prior to that, she's like on & off with Dr Su, no definite decision. I dont blame Dr Kwan, afterall, she's very much in love with Dr Zhong, just like Dr Su was very much in love with her. I'm just glad that she has at last made a decision. Unfortunately , she dont have faith in Dr Su, expecting Dr Su to be like Dr Zhong, choosing ambition over love.

But I think the Quan-So story is not really a side story but quite a main line, because it helps pull the trigger, amongst all other mishaps, for the transformation of Dr. So from the good guy to the bad guy.


I understand up to now, probably a lot of mm got pissed off already by Quan's inconsistencies. But rather than saying she loves Zhong a lot, I chose to believe it is stubbornness and self-ego which makes her so painful, so imprisoned by the past. Using Siu Ma (the reporter) as a contrast, because she loves Yau so much so at the critical point, even when they can't be together, she refused to go for abortion because this unborn child carries her love to Yau (though fruitless). As for Quan, if she loves Zhong really deep enought, I don't think she'll opt for that option too.

I agreed that incident hurts Quan's ego very much, and she chose to put herself in a forbidden status despite being courted by others (like the lawyer), So is the first guy who manages to tear away this protective shield, if it is not love, she won't make such a step. So I don't believe So is her safety net, rather she did feel for him, but perhaps this love or affection is not strong enough to stand up the test. Quan is sharp, of course she can tell So is very popular and is a target of Hsu and his daughter. No matter how So tried to convince her, she chose to escape - her self-ego won't allow her to take the risk again.

Throughout the process, So always tries to protect Quan, give her all the care and love, totally accommodating for what she has done, rightly or wronogly. I think when it comes to love, there is no right or wrong, but certainly the love demonstrated by So is the highest level of love, to give without expectations of return, to love and accept what she is, good or bad, to forgive and to forget - this is selfless love, though rare, does exist. Guan Xin went to see Su but she couldn't find him, so she left him a note saying that she didn't allow him to go in her apartment the other night was really because her apartment was messy, but that night she had cleaned her apartment and she would prepare herself, so she told Su to go to her apartment after work and they could finish the unfinished dance.

At the start of the program, The Hospital preview scenes were shown, and even if it was only in black and white and with no sound. audience intensity were completely overwhelming. The cast didnt only gave in pictorials with everyone but also gave away Su Yi Hua, Guan Xin and Qui Qing Cheng's coffee cups used in the drama as prizes to fans, by answering questions on how well the audience knew facts about the drama.

It was surprising to see that fans knew every detail and every dialogue in the drama, especially when it was Dai Li Ren's turn to ask, Is Qui Qing Cheng a good or a bad man? The lucky contestant chosen promptly answered, "He is not a man!" Besides creating a roaring laughter in the whole venue, it even allowed Leon Dai to praise and commend on this man's reply.

Yes, according to other news reports, Ah Mei and her image designer, Jolin, Lou Zhi Xiang, Sun Yan Zi, and Hung Wei Ming (Catwalk model company's boss) also went. I guess a lot of artists from TW went back around the same time or even on the same flight.

as Jerry Yan created chaos at the airport when he returned from Tokyo


Fresh from watching Madonna’s Tokyo concert, Jerry returned to Taiwan. For the promo tour of the movie “Silk”, Yokuse Eguchi arrives in Taiwan. Both male leads of the Japanese and Taiwanese versions of The Hospital, both stars almost bumped at each other at the Taoyuan airport late night yesterday, and tourists were once again surprised on seeing famous stars.

Yosuke has a brilliant performance in “Silk.” Last night, aboard EVA AIR from Tokyo, he will be in Taiwan for the three day and two night promo activities. This afternoon, he will be at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel for his press conference with Zhang Zhen, Lin Jia Xin, Da S and other main cast of the movie, and talk about their shooting experiences.

However, he almost bumped at the airport some of the famous stars who just returned from watching Madonna’s Tokyo concert, including Jerry Yan. When Jerry entered the exit gate, group of photographers rushed in to take pictures, and Yosuke had just passed discreetly to proceed to the hotel’s shuttle car. After a female reporter and photographer recognized and found the handsome Japanese guy, all then scrambled towards him, creating a few unexpected feats.
