kumusta mga sisters.... hmm ako been busy since morning ngayon lang ako makakapag-relax dito sa harap ng pc...ng mawala naman ang stress....

hehe ikaw nman kasi para kang di maihing pusa sa date na yan don't worry kapatid makukuha yan sa dasal. Eh mukhang wala pa namang balita sa bench, kakatapos lang nung fashion show nila di ko alam kung totoo yung sinabi nung visor or manager dun na next na nga dao but wait pa tayo sa mga updates, ang mahirap nito eh isang araw magimbal na naman tayo kung kailan? di ko din alam, just be ready...pag nagkataon para na naman tayong hinalukay na kalamay nito hehe:p

Solo Flight not as good as expected. Jerry Yan loses to F3.

At the end of last year, Jerry Yan was the other F4 member, who broke away from F4 feeling sure that he will succeed on his own but 7-8 months have quickly passed and F3 without him is busier than ever doing non-stop dramas, films and albums. On the contrary after Jerry finished “White Tower,” after their recent so so performance, Jerry Yan and F3’s momentum have taken for the worse shocking people.

F4 has long since separated in the stage arena, March this year they once again had a concert, drawing large audiences is very good. 4 people ensure box office receipts, having an agreement on stage is pretty good. (Source: HK Apple Daily)

This event is confirmed.
Those attending that day include the Director, main cast [altogether more than 16 persons ¡V Jerry will be attending, and he will be on stage], Soundtrack artists, etc.

The reason for conducting this survey is to confirm the rental of the venue.
In order to let everyone take part in the screening in comfort, the organizers will try their best to satisfy all your requests.
Hope that all who wish to come will have seats.
However, we can't have empty seats, as indoors-venue rent is costly.
So, we need to do an estimate of the response before renting the venue.
Then, we would be able to put aside more funds for charity.

Regarding the of purchase of tickets, there's no need to worry.
The tickets will go on sale about a month prior to the event.
At that time, there will be updated news on how to buy tickets.

Regarding the pictorial book-signing, the timing should take into consideration the promotional effects.
After all, the promotion of a TV serial is different from that of a singer's album.
With weekly activities, the rate of paper exposure will be higher.

I¡¦m here to report again.
I¡¦ll do my best to convey whatever news I know to everybody.
Below are some clarifications:

First, I must explain the concept of this Charity Premiere Screening.
Many fans are still looking forward to another session similar to 2004.
But, the nature of promotion this time round is different from the last.
Previously, it was an album ¡V completely the effort and work of one individual.
Therefore, it stands to reason that the promotion was centred on the single male star.

However, this time, the TV serial is joint effort of a team of many talented screenwriters, director and actors .
The emphasis of the promotion is on the whole TV serial.
Though the lead actor plays an important role, he cannot be the only focus of promotion.
We know that for a show to have a successful run on Taiwan¡¦s 8pm slot, it can¡¦t be done based only an actor¡¦s individual charisma.
This cannot be the only selling point.
So long as the show is good, there¡¦ll be favourable word-of-mouth, and it¡¦ll naturally attract the general viewing public's interest.
Then, the best response from the public may be achieved.

Therefore, this Charity Premiere Screening is not a certain someone¡¦s ¡§individual fans¡¦ meeting¡¨.
Besides the event¡¦s aim of combining the efforts of various parties for charity, it also seeks to promote a good show to the public.
If the media reports on the event focus on how crazy fans can be or gossip relating to the lead actor,
this type of publicity has limited effects on the promotion of a good show to the public.
Sometimes, it may even have unfavourable effects.
(e.g. I personally am not interested in reports on Korean actor Bei¡¦s fans booking several hotels and so on.)
If the media reports focus on the show ¡V the engaging storyline/plot, actors¡¦ great performing skills, this will initiate the public¡¦s interest and desire to watch the show.
The combination of solid foundation/acting and popularity can then bring about the biggest multiplication effect.

If the show itself is not good, then it can really sell itself based only on its stars¡¦ charisma.
With regards to the "Magic Kitchen" experience, I personally am unable to recommend it to friends.
As a true blue fan, I dutifully watched it 3 times at the cinema, but I didn¡¦t even watch the DVD that a Hong Kong friend brought over.
It¡¦s quite sad.

We must have confidence in <the Hospital >¡¦s quality, and also have confidence in Jerry, whose aim is to be a ¡¥genuine actor¡¦.
An actor¡¦s real battlefield is on stage ¡V his work must be well-received.

I am a Jerry fan, certainly I can also understand many fans¡¦ feelings, in particular overseas or Tainan fans. Participating in an event is not easy.
It¡¦s natural that in your visit to Taiwan, you wish to participate in many activities to see Jerry.
But, the nature of this promotion and a certain someone¡¦s wishes¡K
According to my current understanding, Jerry won¡¦t take part in many activites.
At present, the only event with fans¡¦ participation is the Charity Premiere Screening.
The date for this event to promote the show has been largely set, and it is focused on the show, i.e. not to facilitate overseas fans¡¦ meeting with an individual actor.

I know some people mentioned a fans¡¦ meeting.
This can only be a bonus for <the Hospital> travel plan.
If fan clubs can arrange with the agent within the above time duration, that will be great.
But, I really can¡¦t help in this.
I¡¦ve been Mr. Yan¡¦s ¡¥free labour¡¦ coolie for a few years, but I have never spoken with him, shook his hand, nor even have his signature.
I have also never approached his agent or production company on my own initiative.
So, I have no contact with his manager.
This type of activity requires fan clubs to go completely with the manager.
This is an actor¡¦s individual activity, and it doesn¡¦t quite fit well with the promotion of the TV serial as a whole.
(The above is based on my preliminary understanding of the show¡¦s promotion plan to date.)

I am an employee, so I can only use my lunch break to write this.
If there¡¦s other news on the Charity Premiere Screening, I ¡¥ll post if I¡¦m free later tonight.

Warning: I think you have the right to know, that's why I summarized the following gossips from TW Next Magazine and China Times Weekly Magazine (both are gossip-entertainment magazines in TW). It is up to you to believe it or not, or to determine how much you should believe in it. However, please bear it mind that even the artists in TW said if the entertainment news in the newspapers and magazines had 20 to 50% truth in it, they would be satisified. As a Jerry's fan, I only believe in what's from Jerry's mouth.

Yan Cheng Xu has lost to F3

Summary: Each member of F4 has earned TW$2 millions per concert for the HK concerts in March. It is planned to have the worldtour concerts after that. However, as Yan Cheng Xu claimed to have a full schedule and he has no time for any other concerts, therefore, the whole plan is on hold.

kkla's comments: From the clip of Jerry's words at the time of the HK concerts released by F4ever's site, we all can see that Jerry was very excited to bring the HK concerts to other countries, especially Japan and Korea. Some fans were lucky enough to talk to Jerry when he went back to TW right after he finished the HK concerts. At that time, he said that the planned F4 concerts in Japan were cancelled, as three members of F4 were scheduled to have new work right after the HK concerts, such as Zai's filming Angie Chai's drama and Vanness' promotion with Kangta, etc... Mr. Zhi also claimed that at that time, Zai, Ken, and Jerry all needed to film dramas right after the HK concerts, that's why the other F4 concerts were cancelled/postponed. According to fan who knows some of the production companies in other countries, one reason of not having other worldtour concerts at this time mainly is that FL is asking for too high of a talent fee. As I discussed with others in another site, the best location to have F4 concerts is Japan, as F4 in Japan is super hot now, but in other countries, F4's markets have shrinked in some extent, as they have been out for years but with FL's bad management, it has not helped with their popularity, so some production companies are not willing to pay for the talent fee FL is asking for. kkla's comments: Regarding F4's third album, in order to be released on time, FL should have had a better planning, as FL should know that Jerry's schedule has been busy since he started filming in July, 2005. Why everything needs to wait until the last minute when FL had planned F4's 5-yr. anniversary activities since 2005, so it can earn more money using F4's name? We all know that money is not that important to Jerry when compared to the quality of work bearing his name, and we all know that Jerry's voice was broken due to his long hour work and not enough rest before the concerts, then how could he record the songs chosen by FL to just make fast money? As "F4's" agent, I am very disappointed with Mr. Zhi's answer which doesn't protect all members of F4.

Realizing that F3 are so busy, on the other hand, Yan Cheng Xu has pushed FL to have other worldtour concerts soon, so he can fill his wallet with more money. However, it seems like Yan Cheng Xu's wish to have more worldtour concerts can't be filfilled this year. So far, he has only accepted invitation of a show in Indonesia.

kkla's comments: In March, Jerry claimed that he would take a 3-month break after the filming of TH and HK concerts, unless the F4 concerts in Japan went through. His agent also claimed in March that Jerry might not accept another invitation to film another drama unless there would be good director and wonderful script. Long before the final candidate of "Chu Liu Xiang" was announced, Jerry's agent had released the information of Jerry's not accepting the invitation to play the character even though he was voted as the no. 1 candidate to play the character in a survey. In conclusion, an artist's popularity is not necessarily determined by how many work that artist has, especially when that artist has pubicly announced of having a vacation. I hate to compare Jerry with F3, but I won't hesitate to defend Jerry. No matter how FL made this reporter to release an article like this (some suspected that the existence of this article is the result of some stimulation from HK this week), fact is better than one thousand words, profit making companies, like Pepsi, of course know who is the most popular and who has the best market values. Actually, F3 should thank Jerry, as I have never seen FL be so hardworking on F3's work plans, except Zai's (FL's big boss even brought him to join director Du Qi Feng's celebration party when he went to TW for the Golden Horse Award last year).

Ok that line upsets me the most. How can they ever think of Jerry like that. Of all the F4, Jerry was known to be picky of the projects that is offered to him, picky in the right sense. What is your impression of Jerry after having a chance to work with him in WT?

A lot of young artistes when faced with problems they would often be very frustrated, however Jerry's character is very firm, he stands by what he believes in no matter what kind of problems he has to deal with. And also during the filiming, i can feel that he is a very hardworking person, even to the extent of giving himself too much pressure. I can say that among all the actors involved in the filiming, he is the most hardworking one. You can always feel that he is thinking of all sorts of way to inject life into the character that he is potraying in the show.

If you were to invite Jerry to shoot your movie, what terms would you state?

First of all, what is the aim behind starring in my movie? Is it for larger fame, or is it to fulfill what you are lacking in? I will let him consider this very carefully. This is not an issue of whether it is correct or incorrect to do so, what [is] more [important] is to know what is it that you really want to get out of this. The important thing is to know that when you are of great influence to alot of other people, you must be sure of what you are giving them. During the filiming, i come to realise that Jerry is an actor that is constantly thinking about this issue. So to be in my movie, make sure that one knows what they want out of it first.

Having worked with Jerry, your views towards Jerry improved hasn't it?

No, i didn't underestimate him before this. At least he is doing something that some A list celebrities can't. In other words, in terms of competence he is the most outstanding among the group of young actors. In fact, he is looking for his own way. When i still didn't know him very well, i heard from people around me that Jerry is not very happy towards what he is doing now. So i thought that he is unhappy with what he is facing currently, but after getting to know him well, i come to realise that he is a very frank and straightforward person, talks about everything under the sun, doesn't hide anything. Compared to those that have no courage to face their own incompetence, Jerry is a very hopeful person. Being himself( by not hiding or trying to cover up anything), that's one of the main reason of his success, and that's also what left a deep impression on me.

Solo Flight not as good as expected. Jerry Yan loses to F3.

At the end of last year, Jerry Yan was the other F4 member, who broke away from F4 feeling sure that he will succeed on his own but 7-8 months have quickly passed and F3 without him is busier than ever doing non-stop dramas, films and albums.

According to Liberty Times of today, The Hospital cop.yright has been sold to 8 countries such as Japan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, etc. It consists of 38 episodes of 60 minutes, each episode is sold at US$20,000, thereby earning a total of US$6,080,000.00 for sale of cop.yright to 8 countries. There's not counting in dvd sales & other side products sales. According to Director Chai's wife, even when filming has not completed, the sale of cop.yright has already covered their production costs of NT80,000,000. Before anyone comes up with the full translation, according to today's(July 8, 2006) Min Sheng Bao (TW), the Preview Charity Press Conference will be held on August 12 (kkla: should be August 13, according to StarJerry) at the International Conference Center which can seat 1,200 people. Other than the media throughout Asia, it will be open for fans to attend. It's not only in dramas where we see a doctor save lives. Outside the dramas, Jerry Yan actively makes charity work. At the Preview Press Conference of "The Hospital" on August 12, it will hold a Charity Auction at the same time, where Jerry's stethoscope, doctor's jacket, etc. will be auctioned for Charity. Fans are expected to madly go for it, because all the proceeds will be donated to a charitable beneficiary, and in order to raise funds for "The Hospital's" huge promo expenses. whose total will reach up to $3.5 Million according to reports. Yesterday, the drama team and CTV crew have started to meet, and while the CTV crew had finished counting up to 7 zeros, they laughed and said that it's really "stunning!"

However, for CTV, the proposal of the drama team to include the putting up of tents in the promo plans , is also very touching, and shows the Cai Yue Xun couple's full intentions. "The Hospital" was filmed for 8 months, finally it was finished this spring. Currently, editing work is in the final stages, so that it can be shown in Taiwan in August. This tv series will surely become Jerry’s turning point. Since "Meteor Rain", how was it for Jerry to be working again with Director Cai?

“In Director Cai’s different shooting locations, the atmosphere is very relaxed. At first, it seems that Jerry was not used to this. Most of the staff/crew liked to joke around, but as the filming progressed, Jerry also had very good interaction with them, also plays around with them. This is how Lin Wen Kai, the cinematographer responsible for all of Director Cai’s works since [Meteor Garden], described Jerry during the first stages of filming.

Moreover, we interviewed some actors who worked with Jerry for the first time. First is Xiu Jie Xie, who acted in "Ming Yang Si Hai" and "Mars". He said: “Our ages are very close, we chat together and talk about basketball. It was the same with ZZ, we became familiar with each other very quickly.”

Lead actress Ms. Zhang said: “Before we met, I thought he must be a very handsome big brother. At first, because he is a big star, I was afraid that it would be difficult to go near him. But in reality he is very warm and very easy to get along with. By working with him, I discovered that he is a very serious and earnest person. He has high demands for himself. He diligently works hard so that he could perform better. Jerry certainly is not just an idol with a face.”

“Jerry is very serious.” This is a statement that came out of every person we interviewed.

“In shooting locations, Jerry is very absorbed. That’s why I don’t disturb him as much as possible. As he holds the script and focuses on it, we all won’t dare to speak with him.” Xiu Jie Xie said.


During filming, the drama team basically just prepared a small personal resting room for Jerry. Only a small number of people are allowed to go in and out of his room. Among them is hairstylist and make-up artist Pan Lun Lin. She said: “When Jerry is reading the script and memorizing his lines, he hates it when he is disturbed by the noisy surroundings. He is very serious.” Can you just imagine a Jerry with a stoic face.

“However, after filming has started he becomes very relaxed, he tells jokes and loosens up.” It was also reported in the news before that filming was done in various places in Taiwan. According to Pan Lun Lin, most of the time Jerry drives a black Cefiro car to shooting locations. However, according to Lin Wen Kai, the cinematographer who has personal contact with Jerry since MG days, “This Japanese car is the company’s common car. Jerry is an extremely thrifty person, he still drives the same car that he bought during his modeling days. It’s already tattered (Laughs). When I saw that car, I was very shocked. ZZ and the others drive very nice cars.”

In order to protect Jerry’s privacy, the car that Jerry drives is kept a secret, they didn’t reveal it to us. In order to avoid paparazzi, Jerry makes a detour when going home, normally it takes a lot of skill. Furthermore, Lin Wen Kai said: “ It seems that Jerry doesn’t like to drive cars very much. But in long distance driving, he takes care of his assistant and drives the car. When being chased by paparazzi, he also drives the car, because he drives fast but very carefully.”

Of course the lead actress has the most interaction with Jerry. Ms. Zhang has acted in movies, but has no experience in tv series yet. Jerry then is very considerate and looks after her.

“After acting in a sad emotional scene and I’m unable to release the feeling, and when my sentiments are low, Jerry always walks over to comfort me. When I’m nervious, he would also teach me how to relax. ‘You’re still a newcomer mah.’ Even though he somehow teases me, he takes care of me like that.”

However, people all have times when their mood is not good. During this time what does Jerry do?

Pan Lun Lin said: “When his mood is not good, he will say, ‘Because of some matters my mood is not too good today,’ and informs everyone in advance” This allows everyone to prepare themselves mentally. It is also a kind of misgiving. When Jerry is angry, it seems his appearance is very frightening, so what exactly is his appearance like? Lin Wen Kai said: “For example, he doesn’t speak, and it’s hard to approach him. But he doesn’t take it to heart, given that he got angry at certain matters, that day it’s very frightening, but after going home and thinking it over, the next day he would communicate in a new mood.” If this is really the case, that even an angry Jerry has positive constructiveness, isn’t it lovable too?

Of course if he’s in a good mood, he also shares laughs with the staff and cast who likes to crack jokes. His cold jokes are not few either.

“After telling a joke, he will look at the other person’s reaction like this.” Ms. Zhang said while imitating that expression. It seems that compared with his jokes, Jerry’s expressions make people laugh more. It’s a pity there’s no picture of it.

“At shooting locations, Jerry also helps the staff move things.” Ms. Zhang confirms that Jerry and the staff worked together harmoniously.

Lin Wen Kai’s deepest impression on him is: “When we were filming on the mountains, even though we asked help from the local residents, the manpower is still not enough. Jerry also went all out to help.”

It was on an early spring day when filming finished. The drama team specially arranged a joint performance of the two main leads, Jerry and Dai Li Ren, as the last scene to be filmed. When the final “cut” was called out, Director Cai and Jerry reportedly hugged each other crying. On this matter, we asked confirmation from Director Cai.

“After filming the last scene, everyone opened up bottles of champagne that they prepared. There was champagne everywhere, then we recalled our continuous hardships, unconsciously we hugged together. Jerry and I were drenched in champagne from head to feet.”

August 15 is about a month away. That's when The Hospital will start broadcast in TW on weekdays, 8p.m. Its ratings will be closely watched by a lot of ppl as this time slot is a very fiercely competitive one, its the time slot where a lot of Tw soap operas are shown.

The Hospital was not chosen to broadcast on the much easier time slot of Saturday or Sunday nights [which its when idol dramas the likes of God Mars, Green Forest, Prince Turned To Frog, Love Magician, Silence, etc are shown & whereby its easy to get good ratings] as The Hospital is not an idol drama.

So The Hospital, a serious drama, will go on a headlong clash with soap operas on prime time week nights. It will be a tough fight & bear in mind the fact if some newspapers start comparing The Hospital ratings with those dramas shown on weekend nights, that's no comparison between
a tough, prime time weekday slot and a much easier weekend slot.

Men are all alike, so they disguise themselves. But how much can they be different? In the movie " Dian Chen Nan (Cable Guy)", the leading man is a good example. According to the plot, he must convince the viewers: that what a man wears will make a woman fall in love with him. Apart from repairing computers, he knows less. so it would be a very impossible mission for him. For a woman of a good stature and background, it's unlikely for her to choose a man who has no money, and doesnt have to get a "little naughty" boyfriend.

In the movie, he only has the cheap clothes which he wears over and over again. So the only thing he could do is to change his style. Upon a friend's advise, he changed his hairstyle and then transformed his clothes into a "male model" type. His face then looked so much handsome and his awkwardness changed a little.

Because he changed into a model, his may-december affair with this elder woman became relatively convincing.

For today's women, when she chooses a partner, and in order to have the so-called sense of security, there is a part in her that she doesnt care about what her parter wears. But in this age where seeing a handsome guy, regardless of how old the man is, who doesnt care about what he wears, is something a woman find hard to accept.

If a man really wants to date a woman, to be in his best needs 3 things:

One is for his age.
Wearing demims and revealing parts of his muscles
And dying the hair to have shades of blue only suits to attract young teenagers.

Two is his mood.
Only if you think you want it for a performance show,
Or else, millions will leave wearing muti-colored flower shirts

Three is his body figure
If a man's body built is good, white tshirt and denims are very appropriate
If it is not good, it is important to change his clothes.
Using a loose low-waist pants for a seven-footer type
Like if Jerry Yan wearing it, would fit like a tall model
But if worn by a short 5 footer guy, it would only make him look shorter, his belly would become rounder, and would not give him confidence that he would ran away looking sloppy even if it is a famous brand.


In my opinion: a woman has more confidence in criticizing what a man wears than what she wears herself.

However, with regards to what a man thinks of his clothes, he doesn't have too much knowledge. I have a medium-sized friend, who at first dressed up conservatively. He once brought a unique neck tie which when he wore it, won praises later , and started to be crazy in flaunting off famous branded clothes, from his top to bottom, but it all looked like he had appeared in a circus. Wearing coat and tie and matched it with slippers in going to work, and on weekends he wears a big blue flower shirt which looks like he had gone to Hawaii, matched it with white short- sleeved shirt and white shorts... honestly speaking, I really thought I would pretend not to know the guy.
