2. The opening ceremony will be postponed to next Tuesday (source: Karyee and Sibala on www.nbbbs.com (http://www.nbbbs.com/)) due to many reasons. One of them is that TW's Golden Song will be held this coming Saturday, and it is natural that the next two days' news will be focused on that, as Jay, Patty, and Jolin will all attend the show, and Tozai, Patty, and Ms. Lin will be the hosts. I think this move is pretty wise.

Taiwan super idols F4 in Japan

F4, the explosively popular super group across the whole Asia, has come to Japan

It's the early summer of 2005 and the Korea Wave still shows no sign of abating. A new wave has come to Japan. It comes from Taiwan and is named Taiwan Wave. Its top gun, super group F4, has finally started its activities in Japan in full blown.

At the beginning of 2001 in Taiwan, an adaptation of Yoko Kamio's popular comic "Hana Yori Dango" into a TV series was being planed. Four gorgeous young men were to be picked out to act the leading actors in the TV series. Four fresh young men were discovered: cool Jerry Yan, a former model; Vic Zhou, with a smiling face of an idol; happy-go-lucky Ken Zhu, scouted while working part-time at a restaurant; and international Vanness Wu, born and raise in Los Angeles, USA.

Their heights are all of 180 CM but their personalities are different. At that time Vanness wasn't even good at Chinese. As soon as the drama was aired, they got their big break. They started various activities in the showbiz using the name of the group in the series, F4, which means a group of four people as pretty as flowers.) Their popularity spread across the whole Asia. They sold more than 4-million CDs and completed a successful concert tour. They were in high demand and appeared in Pepsi commercials. In no time they had become the super stars representing Asia. In fact, up until then, Japan was the only place in Asia not knowing the existence of F4.

After that, the four of them started engaging in their own solo activities such as movies, albums, CMs, and photo albums, all with good results. They have come to Japan, though a little late. With the help of the furor generated by Korea Wave, an unprecedented Asia Boom has arrived. F4's popularity in Japan has been jump-started by BS and CS channels broadcasting Meteor Garden. In response to that, currently Japan BS TV is airing Mars starring Vic, another adaptation from Japan's popular manga. To accomplish a photo album completely shot around Tokyo, for the first time all the four members visited Japan together and held a press conference in late April.

Golden director Cai Yuehhsun's Great White Tower which took a year of preparation and after encountering many difficulties, has waited until his hair turns white. Then, he suddenly struck three waves in a single stroke. Male lead Jerry Yan agrred to act and Dai Li Ren also followed. But the candidate for the female lead remained big as a headache. Yesterday, new-comer Zhang Jun Xian was announced to be acting as the female lead, Guan Xin, as Jerry Yan's lover. However because of the discrenpcy in the two's status, the 'deam loveteam' is still uncertain.

Jerry Yan and Dai Li Ren is Cai's best choices for the roles, but because of schedule conflicts, Jerry Yan didnt agree at once. To achieve his "dream team" Cai patiently waited for a year and lets his crew go crazy in
finding the female lead. Now, the leading lady is revealed, in the person of Zhang Jun Xian from the movie "Dream Tour Hawaii". Because she's not well known in the theatrical circle, she can become the leading lady which Jerry wanted a freshie.

Kissing scenes and bed scenes are unlimited
To match Jerry Yan's heavenly king status, he has the capital to "Qin Tien" to his fellow female actress, but in the end it is a new-comer. He is known to be fussy, but doesn't he have any comments? His manager Yao Yi Jun neither approve or disapprove: "Who to choose as the leading lady? You should ask the director". In reality, the director Cai has considered his favourite disciple Saya, old parnter Da S, Guan Yin, etc, however due to various reasons they are unable to work together.

Matching Jerry Yan's popularity and personality had brought difficulties in finding the right actress during the planning stage of the drama. Mr Cai happily told that Zhang Jun Xian is a good choice because she is intelligent and conservative; the keypoint is that she doesn't like to be an entertainer.

Great White Tower is an adaptation from the novel of the same title by Hou Wen, has 25 episodes, with each episode running for 90 minutes. Jerry Yan will feel deeply in love with Zhang Jun Xian which hopefully will be greatly regarded. In the roles, , Cai Yuehshun said " The contract does not limit the kissing scenes and bed scenes, as long as they remain decent."

Ako din last thursday,bumibili ako ng japanese paper, tapos may mag-ina na magpapa photocopy ehhh 5:25 na, sabi ng batang babae "Ma, malapit ng mag MG, eeee tagal naman magxerox eh", sabi naman ng nanay "reply na 'yun papanoorin mo pa uli?", sagot uli ng bata " Hmmm iwan ko na yung pinamili dyan, uwi na ako", alang nagawa ang nanay at di na nga kinontra ang anak, ang sagot ng nanay sa pasisinter ng anak, " oo na malapit na, uwi na tayo". I have read the novel <The Hospital>, and have also spent time reading some book reviews. However, a novel written for a select readership and a prime-time serial targeted at a mass TV audience are by nature 2 different media. How closely the screenwriter sticks to the original book is really hard to predict. A comparison of the CTV website introduction of the main characters and some related reports, one may sniff out the plot. The characters¡¦ nature should undergo some changes. But, I am not a little puppy, so my nose may not be so sharp, lah! Frankly, as Jerry is acting as Su Yihua, I have vested interests in wishing that the screenwriter could add something more to the character. By so doing, hopefully, the character can create an emotional connect with the viewers, or at least persuade us to believe Su Yihua is someone who deserves our sympathy.


But, the pen lies in the hands of the screenwriter, so it¡¦s no use us fretting. Besides, the opening ceremony¡¦s press conference has not taken place, so we can¡¦t even discuss the character¡¦s styling and costumes. What we can do now, is to find something to gossip about. So, the first subject to research is naturally Zhang Junning, the one who is playing opposite Pighead. Ms. Zhang should be relatively unknown to most people, yours truly included. I have no impression of her movies and TV projects. Hence, before gossiping, we need to look at her previous work. I have recorded the latest ad., and have found some clips on the Web. Just see-see first, lah!

Medyo mahaba pero di nakakasawang basahin kasi makakarel8 talaga tayong lahat. Promise!

at ano naman ang ginagawa nya kasama ng mga batteries? Nag-re-recharge perhaps? PAra sa love scenes niya sa WT!!!!! Hi, who will play the other three ladies who connected with Dr. Su? Don't know yet. I guess we will know tomorrow after the press conference.

I read the novel several months ago. If I remember right, the four ladies connected to Dr. Su in the novel were:
1. GUAN Xin - Dr. Su's classmate in medical school
2. XU Cu Feng - The daughter of the rector in the hospital
3. CHEN Xin Yu - Dr. Su's patient who was the daughter of the President
4. Judy - A lady worked in the night club

Why didn't F4 attend the award show (dl404: Taiwan's Golden Melody Awards Show)? I don't know. For sure, Jerry is so busy at preparing for the White Tower now.

Taiwan super idols F4 in Japan

F4, the explosively popular super group across the whole Asia, has come to Japan

It's the early summer of 2005 and the Korea Wave still shows no sign of abating. A new wave has come to Japan. It comes from Taiwan and is named Taiwan Wave. Its top gun, super group F4, has finally started its activities in Japan in full blown.

In July a new photo album completely cut in Tokyo will come on the market. It is named "F4@Tokyo". One of the photos is pre-released and used as the cover of this magazine. Last year, Korean trend was wide spread in Japan. According to the
report from Futabasha Corp. magazines about Korean Artists had made
an excellent profit from this trend. Nonetheless, Taiwanese artists
have become their recent hot aliens. As Meteor Garden gained
increasing popularity in Japan, the magazine "Taiwan Star"
designated F4 on their cover page for its premier issue. Of course,
it has rewarded with remarkable sales even during its pre-ordering.

The Korean trend irresistibly swept across Japan as Bae Yong Jun
become so popular in the area. Magazines focused on introducing
Korean artists were in high demand as they were launched by
Futabasha Corp. In order not to let the Korean artists being the
sole occupant in Japan, Zhao Yi, the Chinese Editorial of Futabasha
Corp. foreseen the success of Taiwanese trend. She started ahead
with interviews on Taiwan artists. The "Taiwan Star" premier issue
released May 20, designated F4 on their cover page because of their
overwhelming popularity in Japan recently. In addition, it also
features interviews on Jay Chou, Leehom Wang, Chan Bo Lin, Dylan
Guo, Avex Lou, etc. The pre-ordering of this magazine at HMV Japan
also denoted with high demands.

Almost one third of the coverage is on F4 in this Taiwan Star. It
includes photos during the Meteor Garden filming and their charming
appearance when they came for the Japanese press conference. It is
finely printed to satisfy their fans. Moreover, it also captured
full coverage and interviews on Jay Chou, who has been ranked
the "No. 1" of current Taiwan pop music. On Jay's interview, he
talked about his music, like Qi Li Xiang, Qi Lang, and his
inspiration from Japan. However, the "Zhou Don relationship chart"
designed by this magazine still put Jolin Tsai as the "girl friend".
It has not been updated to Hou Pei Ceng. Jay's photo album "Peninsula
Iron Box" has already started its pre-order in Japan.

Ao Yi Jun laughed and said, "Earlier on, i heard it was hard to deal with Bao Long. But, i never knew, the moment he met Cai Yue Xuan, he became a good baby. Taiwanese pop band F4 member Ken Chu and mainland actress Li Bingbing were caught on tape lip locked in Beijing hotel

F4 was the hottest pop band in Taiwan four years ago. Their infamous TV series, F4 Meteor Garden, seared them into the hearts of Asia's teenagers.

As pop heartthrobs and TV stars these 21-year-old cuties were a shoe-in as the new Asian idols.

Jerry Yan, Vanness Wu, Ken Chu and Vic Chow are F4, but it was Yan who stole the center stage.

First he scandalized Asia with his torrid love affair with their manager and was then caught red handed with Taiwan's sexy model Chiling Lin. Men everywhere drooled in envy while girls cried over Lin's good fortune.

But with all shinning stars, Yan has turned dull. But never fear, another F4 member, Chu, caught the attention of the tabloids in the form of B-actress Li Bingbing.

Li's B-list status recently fell away after her role in A World Without Thieves as the female thief - no more standing in line outside of clubs for this kung fu girl.

But the girl is no dame and has handled herself poorly in public - most notably when she cried at a press conference after being chastised for dressing too casually. Her sadness was factitious, making the public less than sympathetic.

Last summer Chu and Li were cast as the starring roles in the TV series Castle in the Sky in Beijing.

At first, Chu played the nasty megastar to Li's relatively low standing, but in April of this year, things began to heat up.

A Taiwanese magazine published photos of the two outside a hotel elevator - lips locked.

The hotel's security cameras recorded Li coming in and meeting Chu at the elevators. She looked obviously unhappy, at which point the make-out session ensued. A kiss does make it all better; Li didn't leave until the next morning.

But while romance was blooming a heart was breaking. As F4 gossip lovers everywhere dug into the hotel photos, Chu's Japanese girlfriend immediately held a press conference with a tear stained face saying her relationship with Chu was over.

A defiant Chu says he has no girl on the side: "We are only close friends. I look at her as my younger sister."

When the media asked Li to comment, the bratty little sister covered her face and refused to answer.

I should turned on d tv in chinese channel... that i bought chinese dictionary/ book and TRYING HARD to read and understand ... that i even watched AM@13 (AM@13) every Sunday just for their mandarin basics! Because of Meteor Garden's consistent high ratings inspite of being just a rerun, those from Channel 2 decided to place it in primetime and so it started last night when it was shown after TV Patrol.

Formerly, it was shown before TV Patrol from Monday to Friday. But because of its continuous high ratings, Channel 7 got envious that they bouted FULL HOUSE for which we already know has been a phenomenal hit in Channel 7 a few weeks ago.

But to everybody's surprize, Meteor Garden extremely surpassed Full House and in most times, over half lead in the ratings game.

Even those from Channel 2 was surprized maybe because of its strong showing. They already have so many shows with big budgets and power casts so to speak but none has reached 15 percent audience ratings.

While Meteor Garden which is just a replay and has no big expenses even reached more than 30 percent ratings and so commercials are heavily pouring in.

Now, Darna will be shown to match it.

Let us see if Meteor Garden will remain as strong in its new time slot.

Sa sobrang lakas ng Meteor Garden kahit na replay na lang ang pagpapalabas nito, nag decide ang mga taga-Channel 2 na ilagay na ito sa primetime kaya simula kagabi, pagkatapos na ng TV Patrol ito ipinalalabas.



Dati-rati, ipinalalabas ito before TV Patrol from Monday to Friday at sa taas ng ratings nito, naiinggit ang Channel 7 at tinapatan ito ng Full House na alam naman natin ay isang phenomenal hit sa Siyete just a few weeks ago.



Pero much to everybody’s surprise, walang humpay na tinambakan ng Meteor Garden ang Full House at madalas, lagpas sa kalahati ang lamang nito sa ratings game.



Maging ang mga taga-Channel 2 ay nagulat din marahil dahil nga sa very strong showing nito. Napakarami nga naman nilang shows na ang laki-laki ng gastos at sobrang dami ng malalaking guests na hindi umabot sa 15 percent ang ratings.



Samantalang itong Meteor Garden na replay na lang at wala nang gastos ay umabot pa sa lagpas 30 percent ang ratings at grabe na rin sa dami ng commercials na pumapasok.



Ngayon, magkakatapatan na yata sila ng Darna.



Titingnan natin kung gano’n pa rin kalakas ang Meteor Garden Rewind sa bago nitong primetime slot.

Yapz. Maganda po ang Peach Girl. Though medyo mahaba yung istorya (13 episodes) at mas madalas sa hindi na si Xiao Tao (Annie Wu - yung bidang babae) yung makikita mo, sulit yung kuwento coz Vanness is uber guwapo in this series. And you'll envy Xiao Tao, with their kissing scenes. Hahaha!

Maganda din yung english subs nung nabili ng friend ko. :)
