Account of Vann & Jerry @ HK airport (by vivayou123 @ HK Zui Ai YCX)

Today, there are ard 100 fans.
Jerry, Vanness, Fanny & Ah Juan arrived at the airport together.
Jerry wore a black tshirt with denim jeans & sunglasses, not wearing any cap.
Vanness wore a cap, white shirt & denim jeans.
There were many reporters, Boss Wan was there too.
Jerry walked very slowly, his mood was quite good. Waved to fans at all directions and accepted their presents.
B4 going into immigrations, dunno for wat reason, Jerry stood there for 1min, many fans began to crowd ard him. Reporters took the chance to take as many photos as possible.
After entering immigrations, he turned and said Bye Bye.

Interesting tidbits:

1. B4 Xu arrived, his fans began guessing wat will he wear. the green one? no good... the final ans, Xu did have a change of clothes.

2. Ard 1.45pm, there was a commotion. Someone spotted their car nearby, near the A parking lot. Therefore, some fans ran over. They saw Ah Juan & another guy (dunno who) pushing luggages to check in. and their car drove off with Jerry inside.

3. Everyone went to the usual place to wait for him. Suddenly there was news tat Xu will be entering from another entrance. Oh my god! Everyone began to run, reporters immediately took photos. But there was nothing at the other entrance, so they were considering if they should return to their original position.

4. Saw the security getting into position, ard 20 of them. kept asking the fans to move back and they themselves formed a big circle. After a while, fans have chosen their spot to stand and reporters began to take photos again. Finally, the star arrived! YEAH!

5. After Jerry entered immigrations, fans are still reluctant to leave and tried to crowd around the passageway for airport staff and held their vcam high to film wat's gg on in the restricted area. those fans behind crowd ard to look thru the vcam. some tourists were curious and asked...

Tourist: Who's tat?
Me: F4 ! Jerry Yan!
Tourist:The one from Taiwan?
Me: Yes!
Tourist:The people who love him must love him very much! ( Ha Ha Ha Of course la!)

then many passerbys began to take photos too... oh please... wat do they wanna take.

my 1st encounter...

nung una talaga akala ko cartoons kasi laging nagtatakbuhan ang mga pamangkins ko pag 5;30 na. pagkatapos nun w/ matching chika pa sila & kiligan pa, no pansin sa kin kasi ako ang iniiwan nila para magbantay ng canteen. then one day may nakita akong poster na nakakabit sa room ... tinanong ko kung sino to? pero tiningnan ko isa- isa yung mga nandun, sabi nga nila f4 dao-tanong ko uli-- sino yun? make kweto naman sila...they asked me: sino ang pinaka gwapo sa kanilang 4? tingin ko uli: lahat sila may itsura pero 1 lang ang matindi ang dating para sa kin: sino?- i asked them sino to? sabay turo---- ahhhh( sabay-sabay) si jerry yan , anong apelyido?---yan nga w/ matching tawanan ang mga hudas.sabi nila bakit sya? my ans: ( in accodance to the pic available at that time) di sya ang pinaka gwapo sa 4 pero grabe ang appeal nya , look at the way he pose ...pero ang suot nya compare to the 3 is very very casual. so in a way curiosity killed the cat ang nagyari, i watched MG bec. of jerry yan, i was 1st introduced to jy than MG. 1st scene na nakita ko eh yung binubugbog sya---ganda ng unang kta ko sa kanya noh? what w/ all the blood in his face.. iba pa rin ang dating nya. sabi ko pa ..bakit naman aso ang name nya? tawanan uli ang mga hayupak.....and the rest is....i was hooked..

Previously, the only non-Japanese to make it onto the country's pop chart were Jackie Chan and three South Korean singers, all of whom sung in Japanese. F4's album is entirely in Mandarin and still squeezed its way into the No. 10 spot. Whatever's hot in Japan eventually makes its way to Taiwan, so could F4's success there portend a strong comeback at home? Watch for it this summer.

Account of Vann & Jerry @ HK airport (by vivayou123 @ HK Zui Ai YCX)

Today, there are ard 100 fans,
Jerry, Vanness, Fanny & Ah Juan arrived at the airport together.
Jerry wore a black tshirt with denim jeans & sunglasses, not wearing any cap.
Vanness wore a cap, white shirt & denim jeans.
there were many reporters, Boss Wan was there too.
Jerry walked very slowly, his mood was quite good. Waved to fans at all directions and accepted their presents.
B4 going into immigrations, dunno for wat reason, Jerry stood there for 1min, many fans began to crowd ard him. Reporters took the chance to take as many photos as possible.
After entering immigrations, he turned and said Bye Bye.

interesting tidbits:

1. B4 Xu arrived, his fans began guessing wat will he wear. the green one? no good... the final ans, Xu did have a change of clothes.

2. Ard 1.45pm, there was a commotion. Someone spotted their car nearby, near the A parking lot. Therefore, some fans ran over. They saw Ah Juan & another guy (dunno who) pushing luggages to check in. and their car drove off with Jerry inside.

3. Everyone went to the usual place to wait for him. Suddenly there weas news tat Xu will be entering from another entrance. Oh my god! Everyone began to run, reporters immediately took photos. But there was nothing at the other entrance, so they were considering if they should return to their original position.

4. Saw the security getting into position, ard 20 of them. kept asking the fans to move back and they themselves formed a big circle. After a while, fans have chosen their spot to stand and reporters began to take photos again. Finally, the star arrived! YEAH£¡

5. After Jerry entered immigrations, fans are still reluctant to leave and tried to crowd around the passageway for airport staff and held their vcam high to film wat's gg on in the restricted area. those fans behind crowd ard to look thru the vcam. some tourists were curious and asked...

Tourist: Who's tat?
Me: F4 ! Jerry Yan!
Tourist:The one from Taiwan£¿
Me£º Yes£¡
Tourist:The people who love him must love him very much£¡©zHa £¡Ha £¡Ha£¡Of course la£¡©{

then many passerby began to take photos too... oh please... wat do they wanna take.

Dr. Love is just the best talaga! He’s just plain NICE, that’s why I think he can’t bear to see a disappointed fan. According to Liberty in TW, Jerry will get the highest pay in TW of the
TW produced dramas for accepting the role in White Tower, which is
NT$250,000 per episode. He will break the record held by SHE, which
was NT$150,000 per episode (1 person). On the other hand, another main
actor, DA Li Ren, will have NT$100,000 per episode.

According to Liberty, Jerry got only about NT$10,000 per episode for
filming MG1, and about NT$50,000 per episode for filming MG2. This is
the first time he has accepted offer not from Angie Cai's production
company and the pay is going to be N times of what he got before, which
will be the highest pay so far among actors played in TW produced
dramas.

According to Liberty, Jerry got a lot of offers from China, and his
market price is at least US$10,000 (about NT$330,000) per episode. Even
Director Chai initially assumed that at least NT$400,000 would be
needed for Jerry's pay for each episode. This time Jerry accepted
the "friendship" pay because firstly he likes the script very much and
secondly he worked with Director Chai in MG1 before, so the amount of
pay is not the main concern.

White Tower will be scheduled to film for about six months and Jerry's
agent, Xiao Zhih, indicates that the filming time is long and for sure
it is going to impact Jerry's work schedule, as he needs to fulfill
some endorcement contracts and he also gets offers for other dramas and
movies. However, as long as the quality of White Tower is good, it is
worth the loss.

Director Chai will arrange Saya to play a cancer patient in White
Tower. When Saya heard about working with Director Chai and Jerry, she
said, "No pay is ok, just giving me some lucky money is enough.

The reporter also listed out the pay of numerous actors in the market.
Yan Cheng Xu - NT$250,000 per episode
SHE - NT$150,000 per episode (1 person)
Zai Zai - NT$100,000 to NT$150,000 per episode
The other two are TWese drama actors:
about NT$100,000 per episode

The first time I saw these 4 guys was during the pre-MG days. When I first saw the teaser, the one with “ang pinakasikat n Boyband sa SouthEast Asia ngaun ay nandito na sa Pilipinas,” my reaction was: “yeah right! May bago na namang pakulo ang dos! At pano naging sikat YANg apat na YAN, e ang papangit at ang babaduy pa!” Tapos during the pilot episode, nandito ako sa bahay. For some reason, sobrang restless ako nun, and I kept channel surfing. Tapos napadaan sa channel2… First ever scene na napanood ko sa MG (kc hindi ko naumpisahan) ay yung kay SC & Rainie sa bakeshop where they work, yung part na nagko-complain si SC kay Rainie. Tapos from there, na-hook na ako. The rest is history…

As for my lovestory with Jerry, ours is a love-hate relationship. First love (or so I thought) ko kasi was Hua Ze Lei. Kasi naman, mag-violin ba naman with a dreamy look on his face?! Plus the fact that DMS was sooooo annoying & super baduy - with the leather pants, psychedelic print shirt & pineapple hair!!! But then, he started acting his trademark “angas” and rude self. ASTIG!!! It’s always nice to see a tough guy turn to mush because of love. So 2nd day ng showing ng MG sa Pinas, I became totally, utterly smitten by Ah Xu. And guess what? hi kimurababe, here's an excerpt from a post of kkla at onlyjerry....

"Hmm, The Hospital/White Tower's script is written by the author of the novel in the same name. The author was a doctor before becoming a novelist. It is a realistic drama that it will be very different from and much deeper than Meteor Garden 1. The story is about power struggles, manipulation, scandals, etc... among doctors/in the hospital. There are no absolute saint or evil in the story. They are just ordinary people. In summary, there is one aggressive doctor and one not so aggressive doctor. Jerry is going to play the not so aggressive doctor and DAI Li Ren will play the aggressive one. Dai is a very solid and powerful actor who has won quite a no. of acting awards in TW and he is also a director. Dai is a good friend of Director Chai, so he also featured in MARS. Dai is also one of the few actors in TW that Jerry has longed to work with him since 2001...."

"Hmm, The Hospital/White Tower's script is written by the author of the novel in the same name. The author was a doctor before becoming a novelist. It is a realistic drama that it will be very different from and much deeper than Meteor Garden 1. The story is about power struggles, manipulation, scandals, etc... among doctors/in the hospital. There are no absolute saint or evil in the story. They are just ordinary people. In summary, there is one aggressive doctor and one not so aggressive doctor. Jerry is going to play the not so aggressive doctor and DAI Li Ren will play the aggressive one. Dai is a very solid and powerful actor who has won quite a no. of acting awards in TW and he is also a director. Dai is a good friend of Director Chai, so he also featured in MARS. Dai is also one of the few actors in TW that Jerry has longed to work with him since 2001...."

As for my lovestory with Jerry, ours is a love-hate relationship. First love (or so I thought) ko kasi was Hua Ze Lei. Kasi naman, mag-violin ba naman with a dreamy look on his face?! Plus the fact that DMS was sooooo annoying & super baduy - with the leather pants, psychedelic print shirt & pineapple hair!!! But then, he started acting his trademark “angas” and rude self. ASTIG!!! It’s always nice to see a tough guy turn to mush because of love. So 2nd day ng showing ng MG sa Pinas, I became totally, utterly smitten by Ah Xu. And guess what? Last night F4 and Louis Koo shot a Pepsi commercial. To prevent their new images to be exposed, security guards were on guard. They also used towels to wrap their heads and avoided the media. They filmed until 1:30am in the morning. Louis and Vanness Wu seemed the friendliest, both greeting the media. But Vic Chou seemed sneaky, always covering his head and then getting in the car and leaving.

After finishing the commercial, F4 left separately in pairs. First was Ken Chu and Vic, who left at 8am yesterday arrived at the airport with the protection of 20 security guards. The 2 seemed cold towards the fans waiting at the airport, not saying a word the entire way. Ken didn't wave goodbye until he was about to enter the gates. As for Jerry Yan and Vanness, they arrived at the airport at 2pm. There were 50 fans waiting. During that time there was news spreading that the 2 changed to another gate, causing fans to run all over the place. Compared to ZZ, Jerry and Vanness was a lot better, standing still and answering reporters picture taking requests.

Dow-Ming-Sez & Shan-Tsai's Chastity

The thing impresses me the most in "Meteor Garden" is how highly both Dow-Ming-Sez and Shan-Tsai value their virginity.

In the beginning of chapter 2, Shan-Tsai roared to Dow-Ming-Sez on the campus lawn,

"I never had any abortions! I am still a virgin!"

After she'd had the wrong impression that the graffiti on the blackboard of her classroom had been done by Dow-Ming-Sez's men.

This was the time we the audiences and Dow-Ming-Sez got to know about it, and we all believed it (or I should say we all believed her) instantly. Especially for Dow-Ming-Sez, it seemed to be a very precious message...

We the audiences had a feeling back then that this might be a hint to a major story line, for they seldom make clear about this point in any love stories nowadays; and also we don't care much about it, regardless if the heroines are in high-school, college, or out in the workplace; i.e., if they are in their teens, 20's or 30's...

Then in the middle of chapter 3, after See-Men and a lady companion, Mei-Zuo, Bi-Hur and Chien-Whei had all been awaken by Dow-Ming-Sez in the middle of the night, and came out of their cabins in their pajamas to the deck of the cruise ship, only to find that heDow-Ming-Sez was doing nothing but making sashimi of the fish he and Chin-Hur had caught...

Mei-Zuo looked surprised, "You should have had other things to do (on a night like this)..."

Then See-Men teased, "That's why I hate virgins (referring to Dow-Ming-Sez, since he didn't have any other things to do that night)..."

Dow-Ming-Sez looked embarrassed, "How could I have been with women I don't like..."

That's the moment we the audiences and Shan-Tsai got to know about it for the first time, but it seemed that Bi-Hur and Chien-Whei cared more about the news than Shan-Tsai did at that time, for her mind was preoccupied by the scene she had happened to see between Hwa-Sze Lei and Ton-Tuang Jean by Ton-Tuang Jean's cabin moments ago.

At this point, we the audiences were definitely aware of the importance of this issue in the drama!

I could only talk about how the scriptwriters and the director have portrayed in the drama "Meteor Garden", for I never read the original comic books, and I had no idea how Ms. Youko Kamio set up the storyline on this issue since she first started the comics in 1992.

It might be common for a girl in her junior year in high school (or junior year in college in the drama) to be chaste; but I find it unusual for a wealthy heir as Dow-Ming-Sez with all the temptations around him, but still has the determination to save himself for the girl he really loves, especially if he has been around with close friends like playboy See-Men and Mei-Zuo. I know as a fact that some parents in the upper class even contract nice college girls to be with their sons exclusively... How could we not appreciate Dow-Ming-Sez's "sense" on this issue?

With the progress of the drama, we watched Dow-Ming-Sez cried with broken heart standing on the floor above, looking at Shan-Tsai walked to the windows downstairs, believing she had been with Hwa-Sze Lei already in the guest room the night before... (chapter 7)

We also watched Dow-Ming-Sez glowed with enthusiasm, and seemed to change totally to a new person, when he's standing by Shan-Tsai's apartment, watching her coming home from work, after he flew back from New York in just two days knowing Shan-Tsai did not give herself to Hwa-Sze Lei in the guest room that night after all... (chapter 8)

I think he somehow knew from that point in time that there's a space for him in Shan-Tsai's heart regardless of her feelings towards Hwa-Sze Lei; and I believe he never doubted it ever since.

That's why he didn't ask Shan-Tsai if she and Hwa-Sze Lei were actually together the night before in Sheau-Sze's hot spring villa, when he happened to walk to the yard in the villa very early in the morning the next day, only to find her sitting there alone already... He himself had just rejected Sheau-Sze the night before, and decided that he would not give up his love to Shan-Tsai no matter what. (chapter 11)

Then came my favorite scene in the entire drama...

She looked very surprised to see him in the yard so early in the morning, since she assumed he had been with Sheau-Sze the whole night...

He sat down timidly to her right at a distance,

" You... " he mumbled...

" What's the matter? " she asked.

" Why did you get up so early? " he continued... " Didn't you sleep well last night? "

" Not really... " she replied.

" Oh, is that so...? " he added.

(It shows clearly here that Miss Hsu and Jerry express their emotions of the characters perfectly with just the tone of their voices... I also admire the scriptwriters and the director on the interpretation of this scene with enough reservation but tremendous tension between the two. I don't think any love scenes between them could ever top this one, for it's so beautifully orchestrated as if they would had experienced their first time together!)

Later on also in chapter 11, we watched Shan-Tsai burst into tears on Hwa-Sze Lei's back thinking she had lost Dow-Ming-Sez, since she'd witnessed Sheau-Sze had been on top of Dow-Ming-Sez when she'd rushed in their room the night before.

We then watched Shan-Tsai bravely declared war to Dow-Ming-Sez's mom with great spirits after learning from Sheau-Sze that nothing had happened between her and Dow-Ming-Sez in the villa that night. (chapter 12)

These scenes in chapter 11 & 12 are crucial to their relationship as Dow-Ming-Sez finally realized that he simply couldn't try to play pretence with any women he didn't love, since his body and soul were already joined closely together for his one and only love Shan-Tsai; and Shan-Tsai's shocked to find out she actually cared for Dow-Ming-Sez's body and soul altogether after all :-) And she couldn't possibly imagine herself to be with anyone else...

From this point in time, their love was recognized and matured, and they could never separate their body and soul even though they both knew they might not be able to stay together for long...

We probably would never experience such a fairy-tale romance in our life time, yet we could absolutely be in control of our body, and make sure we don't let it be used by the weak inner self to test our love for someone, or to play games with fools. We are capable of owning a version of a beautiful love story of our own anytime anywhere, as long as we put our soul into it, and let our sense lead our body.

Dow-Ming-Sez & Shan-Tsai's Rain

It was the rain... and an umbrella that brought Shan-Tsai to Dow-Ming-Sez for their very first date... after four hours. (chapter 4)

It was the rain... and all the locked doors that gave them their very first night together... with clothes on, of course. (chapter 4)

It was the rain that witnessed their heart-breaking good-bye in the mass transit station after Dow-Ming-Sez slapped Shan-Tsai's face, for he was very disappointed that she had lost faith in their future after spending just one day shopping with Sheau-Sze. (chapter 10)

It was only the raindrops, which touched Shan-Tsai's face right after Dow-Ming-Sez left, got to know how much she regretted what she just said... And she started to realize that the rain might be sent from God to tell them to stop these painful fights! (chapter 10)

It was those raindrops again that enabled us to watch one of the most stunning poses of Dow-Ming-Sez's (or should I say Jerry's)... He was slowly sitting down by the edge of the bed, putting his straightened right arm down to hold his weight, curving his right foot, and then laying his head on the wall... after he came back to his room without saying anything to F3 downstairs, looking at his right hand, which hit Shan-Tsai moments ago, and feeling terribly sorry for what he had done... (chapter 10)

I only wish I could have been one of the raindrops in Dow-Ming-Sez's hair...

It was the pouring rain (and also many cats and dogs) that gave us this memorable scene... Shan-Tsai was standing by the entrance gate of Dow-Ming-Sez's mansion with all her things packed, and telling him that she could no longer be with him, for his mom had been attacking her dearest friends'... Sheau-U's and Chin-Hur's families... (chapter 14)

It was this wettest scene between them that allowed us to start realizing how hard-working they all had been for all those long months shooting the drama, and... we got to know that Jerry used to wear contacts!

It was the last rain we saw in the drama that brought them back together, after Shan-Tsai decided to echo Dow-Ming-Sez's determination, and stood alone outside Dow-Ming-Sez's mansion for as long as it would take.

When night approached, also came the rain shooting down from God...

Inside the chandeliered living room of the mansion...

" Why are you still so blind to the truth here? Do you really know who this person is that has been lying there upstairs for days? It's no one but your son! "

" He is still that young, and there are so many possibilities waiting ahead of him... Why do you have to make decisions for him at this early stage of his young life? "

The remarks from Dow-Ming-Sez's sister worked on Mom, temporarily...

And I keep wondering what had happened to the light blue jacket of Shan-Tsai's after she put it on Dow-Ming-Sez to keep him warm by the stairs of the 12th floor, and he still had it on right before he stepped into the taxi the next morning after the very first rain...

Maybe the taxi driver had it!

Plus the fact that DMS was sooooo annoying & super baduy - with the leather pants, psychedelic print shirt & pineapple hair!!! But then, he started acting his trademark “angas” and rude self. ASTIG!!! It’s always nice to see a tough guy turn to mush because of love. So 2nd day ng showing ng MG sa Pinas, I became totally, utterly smitten by Ah Xu. And guess what? I still am..
parehas tayo! ako din first crush ko din si lei pero nahumaling din ako kay dms coz of his angas personality! :)

So I'm relying to all DAOists who can watch this later to be " in charge" of the (high) tv ratings to show everybody that the F4 Fever is still alive and burning

3 Works Starring F4 Members Opening in Japan in Summer

Magic Kitchen

This summer works featuring the handsome guys taking Asia by storm - F4 - are to be released in Japan.

Starting with the movie "Magic Kitchen" starring Jerry Yan, Andy Lau and Sammi Cheng, the F4 boys will show three of their works, including a footage of their concerts. Plans are for it to first be shown in a photo gallery in Tokyo, then go onto the cities of Osaka, Nagoya and Sapporo.

The photo is a scene from the popular Hong Kong love comedy "Magic Kitchen" about a female chef and her younger assistant who work at a private restaurant. The plot also involves the female chef's ex-boyfriend and friends.

Star Runner

Popular Taiwanese idol group F4, who are lighting the fire under the current wave of Chinese entertainers stretching their wings across Asia, will show many of their works in Japan this summer.

To be shown is the movie "Star Runner" starring Vanness Wu and Korean actress Kim HyonJoo (2003 release directed by Daniel Lee). They will also show concert footage, including "Meteor Garden F4 Music Party Concert" and "F4 Fantasy Live Concert World Tour at Hong Kong Coliseum". Plans are for it to first be shown in a photo gallery in Tokyo, then in the cities of Osaka, Nagoya and Sapporo. More detailed information has yet to be announced.

The photo is a picture from a scene in "Star Runner". The movie is a love story (which also incorporates action scenes) about the love and battles of a university student who trains hard to take part in a martial arts championship.

Sky of Love

To be shown in Japan this summer is the movie "Sky of Love" starring F4 member Ken Chu, and Gigi Leung (released in 2003 and directed by Teng Hua-Tao).

The photo is a picture from a scene in "Sky of Love". The movie is a fantasy love story about a female university student living in 1982 and a male university student living in 2003 who have strangely gained the ability to converse with each other through a wireless radio. The movie received considerable attention in a press conference in Japan for Ken Chu acting in a "role which only uses his voice".

Incidentally, "Sky of Love" is a remade version of the often talked about movie "Remember Me" (also known as "Ditto") starring Korean actress Kim HaNeul.

anyways...pagpasok sa loob wala na talgang mauupuan kasi sa mga studio tours palang puno na siya....and maliit din lang naman talga ang studio. Nung una nasa likod lang yung mga f4fans tapos tinawag nung floor director kung sino yung mga may malalaking memorabilia ng F4 syempre taasan agad may mga banners kaya ayan nagsipwestuhan agad sa unahan kaya kitang kita mga banners din namin hehehe...kita niyo din ba yung bench tarp ni jy? hehehe...

masaya nung nagrerehearse pa lang kasi kaming mga nasa likod (f4fans) ang maiingay lalo na pagpapatugtugin na yung F4 at MG songs talgang wala kaming pakiaalam magtitili sabay kanta in madarin ha! kaya tuloy napapatingin mga SCQ fans sa amin e feeling ko natutuwa sila hehehe....yun kakapagod din siya feeling mo nanood ka ng concert. thanks si a lot sis, altho' nakwento na rin lahat samin yung ngyari sa fanatics, napanood ko uli yung meteor garden and i should say iba talaga ang power ng mga stars dito, kahit na inulan na tayo ng napakaraming korean novela ay iba pa rin ang dating ng mga tunay na astig...
